  • Drivers for Pavilion dv1000 HP website do not work! :(

    Hello everyone.

I have an old HP Pavilion dv1000 laptop here I'm trying to reinstall XP Pro on.

This is the XP Pro SP3 32-bit version.

I performed a clean install - all deleted the partition, reformatted and installed XP.

This worked OK, but now I need to install the drivers for things such as the sound and VGA etc.

I found the drivers on the site of HP here:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=228&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=43561...

I downloaded, but the probem is that NONE of them work.

I started with the audio driver - multi-stage crossbar, then reports that the installation has failed.

I then tried the VGA - begins to install the package, and then reports there is no hardware supported.

Can anyone here give me a link to the CORRECT drivers, please, that the HP website is obviously the link this model to the bad files driver.

Thanks a bunch for anyone who takes the time to answer.

  • Update HP Pavilion dv6700 32-bit to 64-bit

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6700 currently runing 32 bit of the system. Serial number - dv6880ee.

I would like to know if I can update my laptop from 32 bit to 64 bit, to buy memory for 6 or 8 GB of ram (if possible) and update my video card so that it will work faster and be compatible with games and higher video resolutions.

Thanks a lot in advance, really would appreciate answers. !!

    Hello:

Yes, you can install an operating system 64-bit on your laptop (Vista or W7).

Yes, you can install 2 x 4 GB DDR2 (5300 or 6400) memory but it will cost you more than $200 for a pair of chips of 4 GB, and you could probably buy a refurbished laptop, which is better than yours for less than $200.

No, you can't move the graphics.  The GPU is soldered to the motherboard (there are no "video card").

You can read that this related thread concerning the upgrade of memory.

  • Graphics update HP Pavilion p7-1421

I have a HP Pavilion p7-1421 desktop is integrated graphic running supplied with the pc. I would like to put in a better graphics card for the high-end gaming, but I do not know what card would be best for my needs. I was watching the GeForce GT 630 2048 MB GDDR3 link here. My biggest concern is that the computer is running 300 watts and I really don't want to mess with power if I have to. Advice or suggestions on a better type of card (better than what he has now / integrated) who would go without having me more power? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

Stay with the recommendation that is made by the manufacturer of the video card.  This recommendation is based on the unknown electric charges in the PC, the quality of the power supply and efficiency under maximum loads with the 5 volt and 12 volt bus. Some try to skirt recommendation of the manufacturer of the video card. This may work for a while until the PC is put under load and/or the next update is made and the finger pointing began. It's your decision. The map that you referenced can work with your current diet.  It is a call to close.

  • Windows Update HP Pavilion g6 8.1

Do not know if in the right section for this question

I was wondering if someone can help me (not the computer mind at all)

My HP laptop is out of warranty so don't know if I can still use this forum.

I get a message window 8.1 update that I don't really want to do as I've heard good and bad in this regard. What I have to do this, or is it possible that I can stop the Dungeon of the upcoming message.

    Sheila

    Hi @shedeval ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked into your problem with your HP Pavilion Notebook g6 and I was wondering if you need to update to Windows 8. 1. I understand your hesitation to do the update. It will be something you need to address. You can postpone it for a while, but it will be done as it has updates that are required for the Windows System. Microsoft gives a date of 2016. If the update was not done you won't get support from Microsoft. Here is a link if you want to read up on it.

Now that being said to be honest, I didn't update either. So I've been sitting on it and see it. My granddaughter just used my laptop and she appeared and she did, cause it's from Microsoft. Other than to take some time, the only difference I noticed is that there is now a start button.

Hope this helps to answer your concerns.

    Thank you.

  • Update HP pavilion 23?

Hello, I got this HP pavilion as a gift and I was wondering if theres a way to update the plug on this issue in any way?

    Here are the specifications for the printer all-in-one HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23 - desktop f213w and his card DID-AAHD3-mother (Ackee2-U). According to the specification, this model supports up to 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM . This model does not support discrete graphics, so you need to upgrade the APU (combination CPU/GPU) to get a more powerful GPU. This model supports the following APUs;

    TDP: up to 65W
A6 6400K (Richland) Dual Core AMD
A8 6500 (Richland) AMD Quad Core
    Hearts AMD A10 6700 (Richland)
A4 5300 (Trinity) AMD Dual Core
A6 5400K (Trinity) Dual Core AMD
A8 5500 (Trinity) AMD Quad Core
    Hearts AMD A10 5700 (Trinity)

Integrated graphics card (depending on the processor)
A processor that supports graphics is required for the onboard graphics to activate
Provide processors Trinity graphics AMD 7000 series
Richland processors offer AMD 8000 series graphics

In theory, more model APU number in series (Trinity or Richland) best graphics.

I tried to update directly from the HP site and have experienced the same results. Any suggestions?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your concern for the Forums for Support and sorry about the problem you are having. To help you the best I would need the failure error code. I will quote the steps to get the code of failure below.

    • Go to the Control Panel
    • Make sure that in the upper right corner of the ' view by ' is selected for both small or large icons instead of the category.
    • Go to "Windows update".
    • You will find on the left in the list 'view update history'.
    • In the list, the status of the various updates would b mentioned in the second column.
    • There will be updates failed, you need to right-click on it and click 'see details'.
    • On the next window, there will be "Error Details" section with code 8xxxxxxxx.

These are the codes that are required. Please write us back with these codes. And also for resolved errors you can try to install the updates individually.

    • You have to go back to the control panel > windows updates.
    • In the list on the left choose "check for updates".
    • Once the updates is enabled, it will be little important and a few optional updates.
    • First click on the important updates and a list would be populated, choose the updates one by one.
    • After an update is installed and the le redemarrage reboot the PC, choose the second update and continue in the same manner.

Although I work for HP, but I am personally.

Please click "Accept as Solution" If you feel my post solved your problem, it will help others find the solution. Click on the 'Bravo Thumbs Up' on the left to say 'Thank you' for helping!
