  • 0x8004fe21 - "this computer is not running Windows" - KB3024777 update does not resolve the issue

    Hello

My Windows 7 has been giving me some problems lately. I get messages that "this computer is not running genuine Windows" (0x8004fe21). I'm running a genuine version of windows, and when I check the properties of my computer, it tells my that I have in fact validated my copy of Windows 7.

I also had a problem when new updates to Windows Update settle not and after a few google searches, I have concluded that this must have been caused by bad KB3004394 update.

It has been suggested that I deleted this update, but it did not show anywhere under installed updates.
It has also been suggested that I downloaded the patch of "quick fix" KB3024777, which is supposed to remove the faulty update.
I did, and since then, the issue of windows updates has been resolved. Again installing the updates of windows, but I still get messages I'm not authentic Windows.

In addition, I tried all sorts of things, I found in online forums, but I don't remember exactly what those who were, because most of them were things that I didn't understand.

Maybe you guys can help. Thank you in advance!

  • Designjet T1100ps 44 inches: update Firmware to resolve the 81:03 error?

We get errors 81:03 in the middle of several pages in PDF of print jobs.

Our current version of the firmware is: TJ6 - TAJ6_6.0.0.4

Does update the firmware? If Yes, where can I find the latest version for download?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    L

81:03 is an error with your preliminary media.  You can try to restart the printer, power down at the back and unplug the power cord.  Well that off and unplugged hold the power button the front panel for 10 to 15 seconds.

This can sometimes erase an error that is logged in motherboards will not erase.

Looking for FW go to... HP.com-> Support tab-> enter your printer information.

The T1100 is an obsolete printer, so HP has ceased to put the newer versions of FW and get parts through them will be difficult, because they no longer support this model of printer.

I would recommend examines a new plotter, using a refund from HP for the T1100 should ago get a discount from nice on the new machine.

    I hope this helps.

Problem * by clicking on a video clip selects the entire clip, instead of cuisiniere.* *.

I restarted my computer like new.  Lost the iMovie app.  Re downloaded in the App Store.  Now I have a crappy iMovie on the App Store application.  Then I made, I got the updated version and I did.  Always update does not resolve the problem.  I'm sucking in a hole because I need to make new videos for work and I can't.  In addition, I'm too broke to buy Final Cut.  In addition, all apple stores have a waiting list of 5 days before they see you!  Thank you Apple with a 6 bites taken out of it!

  • Thunderbolt Display Firmware update could not complete.

    Hello.

Am myself a brand new Mac Pro recently and I'm loving it. Hooked up to my old TB screen which is unused to cause a few months the all-in-one cable is broken. Not much, I bought a cable TB, and used only to plug it in and it works fine.

That is, until I went in the App Store and noticed a firmware update for display among all other system updated. I do not think that anything of it in time and just continued to download and install all updates in bulk. Well, after all has been said and done I got the popup saying he could not apply the on-screen since it must route the cable all-in-one to do. Not a problem, I thought, it's not that important to me it is installed. But now after whenever I restart the machine, I get the annoying popup even in my face, no matter what I try to do to remove it. I'm fine with not getting updated, I just want this bitch popup go away!

I am a very advanced user, so I am not against the orders of terminals and/or editing plists performer or that you have to solve this problem. I don't know where to look and I thought this would be my last ditch effort fixing before you say screw it, wipe the system and start over. If no preview of this would be useful. Thank you.

    Apple doc:

Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2: continues to reappear and Thunderbolt ports and target Display Mode may not work

After the installation of Thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2:

    • The Thunderbolt ports may not work.
    • Target display mode may not work.
    • The update can keep reappearing as available for download.

This happens when one Thunderbolt self-powered (other than one directly connected Thunderbolt display) device is connected to a Thunderbolt port during the installation of the update. To resolve this problem:

    1. Shut down your computer.
    2. Disconnect all devices Thunderbolt.
    3. Wait for 10 seconds.
    4. If you use a Mac mini with a Thunderbolt screen, reconnect the Thunderbolt display directly to your computer via the Thunderbolt port. Do not connect other devices Thunderbolt at the moment.
    5. Restart your computer.
    6. If sight Firmware 1.2 update is available, download and install and restart your computer when asked. If the update of Thunderbolt is not available, the update has been successfully installed.
    7. Reconnect all devices Thunderbolt.

I just wanted to add that this update does NOT resolve the problem in vista and it is NOT a driver problem. The update will not install in vista and vista is already provided with videoprt.sys 5.1.2600.2911.

When it occurs, the laptop again indeed. You can manipulate and even hear the sounds, but the backlight does not come on or there is no output from the video card. I'm fairly certain that it is a signal of hardware problem.

No matter what laptop I, euro or us, could someone please tell me the file so that I can look at what changes actually code?

    Hello

    > Why this thread has been closed?
I think that the admin closed this thread because, as indicated by the user lumix2day the MS update has solved this problem.

The M400 was delivered with Win XP it's why the update should work with Windows XP!

    Regarding your question.
Looks like you are using your own copy of Vista on the M400.
You should check if Vista is already up to date. Each week the new MS updates are published.

Additinally, I recommend updating the BIOS and check for a driver update more recent display!

  • Satellite A500 - cannot update the BIOS (error message)

    Hello

    I have a PSAR3A - 02U002 Satellite A500 with BIOS version 1.9 is installed.

After reading several forums, I discovered that there may be a BIOS (v2.0) update available to resolve the current problem, these Satellites have with overheating cooling switch down.

Excited, I have tried to install the new BIOS - this is what I get:

"There is an error occurred, please check below the elements."
    BIOS version more than 200.
    Battery capacity more than 10%.
    AC is fixed. »

First of all, my BIOS version is 190, no more than 200. Second, I find it very difficult to believe that the battery must be less than 10%. And third, I don't see what that remove the power supply cable will do.

Please note that this update of the BIOS found on Toshiba's European website, but v2.0 claims to be a worldwide release. I then checked on the Australian site and there is no BIOS for my model. I don't know how to interpret this contradiction.

    Help, please!

    Hi umm_excuse_me,

So I think that BIOS update is not available at this time for you. European and Australian models have different model numbers, so I doubt that the update of the BIOS is always the same. The pieces of equipment may also be different.

In your case, I would wait until the BIOS was released on the page Australian too.

By the way: where did you read that this update was release in the world?

After the bios update, try to resolve everything by default, and then save. Then change the settings of date back to the time you have not yet updated to the bios. Save and exit.

Because you don't want to initialize the network try to disable it in the bios.

The optical drive (ODD) on your machine can ONLY write data to void (or rewritable) DVD and CD, he can't write anything to blank BD discs. It only reads BD and BD movies.

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

    CCleaner (free!)
    http://www.CCleaner.com/
(just disk cleanup - do not play with the part of the registry for the moment)

Other ways to free up space...

    SequoiaView
    http://www.win.Tue.nl/SequoiaView/

    JDiskReport
    http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/JDiskReport/

Those who can help you discover visually where all space is used. Then, you can determine what to do.

After that - you want to check any physical errors and fix everything for efficient access"

    CHKDSK
How to scan your disks for errors* will take time and a reboot.

    Defragment
How to defragment your hard drives* will take time

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are updates and should work fine - it is only only one other thing youpouvez wish to make:

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end. This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.
