  I have solved this problem in line with someone, i.e. first stop the service update of Windows, and then delete all the files in "C: Windows/.../Softwaredictribtion/datestore", finally restart the update of Windows. Now it's working.

  When automatic update trys to install a Security Essentials update, I get a message saying that the update has not been installed and that the epp.msi file cannot be found in the directory.  I tried to uninstall security essentials and start the uninstaller on but could not find the file epp.mis as well.  The file simply vaporize?

• Pop - Up Message - automatic update of firefox has not

  I have a Mac, Yosemite 10.10.4 running version. I was doing a pop-up message on Firefox indicating that my automatic update has failed. Today, I had to manually update to Firefox 39.0. I am also running Avast Anti-virus for Mac.

  Why are automatically updates does not, and what I can do to fix this?

Firefox has been removed from my computer for a few weeks now, so with renewed determination I searched all single folder on my entire hard drive and found 3 random files with mozilla or any part of the word inside mozilla and erased. I turned off the computer and restarted a few hours later. I downloaded firefox 10 (still higher version than the one I was updating of a month) from google chrome and installed it. so thank you for your comments and help!

  In the meantime you can check: Error: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing.

  I tried to enter in Firefox today and he said he was doing an update and Firefox would start in a minute. He did, but I was unable to access a Web page, including of mozilla.org. I thought I had a problem with the internet connection, but I could ping these same stations, achieve with IE (which I HATE) and my Vonage (VOIP) phone worked without problem. I tried to restart and stop, finally tried to reinstall FF. It say download, then stops and says download. There is a button to resume, but he isn't back. Finally, I decided to uninstall FF and tried installing again. Same result. Now I have no FF at all. I can use IE, but it's the hassle, simply because it's IE. I even tried to install 29.1 FF with the same result.

  This has been asked before, but the link given a Microsoft Support technician has been no help and not even related to this problem.

  When I run the normal Zune 4.7 installer it says that it cannot connect to Microsoft Update. I received the package from microsoft and who was running and I get the error "the installer must stop because the perl 'Vista SP2 Update MBR' package has not been installed.

  I tried to install this for a week now.
  (I tried to uninstall SP2 and re - install, which installed successfully and I still get this message... help?)
  Edit: I tried uncompressing the installer and run the .msi file in the package folder. It starts the installation and the load completely bar then go back and cancel all. During "installation" error boxes pop up.

  1 goto Start > Run
  2. Type "CMD" and press enter
  3. in the command window type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll" and hit enter
  4 run the Zune install again

  As the subject says, my Firefox crashes now immediately at startup. (It's on Windows 10 64-bit.) Here is what I tried which did not fix the crash:
  -Refresh
  -Reinstall
  -Disable all addons
  -uninstall the software which provides plugins (Flash, Acrobat Reader)
  -delete the profile

  Here are the situations where Firefox goes not down:
  -safe mode
  -use every night instead of 40.0.3.

  With no information, it is impossible to help. What do you mean by "didn't work" (app is not open, you can not open the books within the application, books don't download from the store,...?), and what you've tried to see if that solves it (e.g. close the application via the task bar of the phone, soft-reset/reboot of the phone, backup and copy purchases through iTunes on your computer and restoring the backup library)?

  Windows Defender in offline mode is a software from Microsoft, here's the FAQ: Windows Defender in offline mode: frequently asked questions

  The DPC error may be due to the way in which your system reacts to the video drivers.  Update.  If you're a gamer and this error is in response to the game, you may have to resort to using the vendor drivers for best performance.  IMPORTANT: Do not update software unless you have ALL your backups up-to-date first taken!  Learn about backups if you want more information!

  The good news about Windows 8: easy search!  Go to the home screen and tap anywhere on the screen: "updates" (without the quotes).

  You will see both the HP updates AND programs of Windows updates appear on the screen.  You can start a program, set the PARAMETERS and start an update, or you can right-click on each program and open the 'place' of the current program.  You can then make a shortcut to the program and put this shortcut on your desktop.
