Upgrade memory PC 2 GB to 4 GB - problem with Indesign CS4

I use Indesign CS4 on a PC (XP Professional SP3) that has 2 GB of memory. InDesign would go, but it has been slow, so upgraded to 4 GB. InDesign is running, but when we try to cut the text on one application and paste it into the document Indsign, he hesitates for a second or two before finishing the task.

Is there some settings in Indesign to be considered in the upgrade memory? Any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I don't think that the problem is caused by InDesign.

Well, I have a brand new HP Pavilion g7-1070us Notebook with 6Gig RAM and bought two sticks of memory 4 GB for a total of 8GB. • BlackBerry smartphones, upgrade one 8700 4.1... a problem with the Desktop Manager?

I bought this phone as a gift (it has been used only for 3 days so it shouldn't me hardware failures) and am always adapt to it.

The OS is v4.1.0.351, and I expect to give it a bit more use by updating the operating system. Unfortunately, whenever I try to update using a downloaded package and the Desktop Manager (or the line "update" that crosses the D.M., he tells me that my OS is most recent possible. I tried to update a number of times but without success. D.M. is not necessary for updates and does not give me an opportunity to use a downloaded package.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You use this page to get the updated package?

And also according to their complete instructions? If the lot you DL/install on your PC is identical to what is already installed on the BB, which would explain the results you get.

I suspect that you do not use the package totally correctly is enhanced by the present:

DTM does not such an offer... what you do is to install the package on your PC at the top of the DTM. Then, when you launch DTM, he will offer the update for your OS, but it does not technically she receives DL packaging or not I think. Can be semantic... but just to be clear.

Your specific model of BB is still supported by TM? If not, then they won't be offers a package to update (and all you DL would be on their part is not valid in any case - the package must match exactly to your BB model number... no deviation at all). What you have to do is to pick up the package you want from another carrier and then use these instructions to install:

  • Upgrade memory on Satellite M60

    Hello
I recently installed Vista Ultimate on my computer Satellite M60 laptop, it is activated and updated, but I think it is out of memory. I have two 512 memory banks and bought two chips of memory of 1 GB crucial to install instead of 512 banks.
It is, I can find a bank under a cover on the bottom of the laptop, but no others, abouts where is it not located and how do I enter?
I did a similar upgrade on an older model and have no problem with the work on the machine, but in this case they were both below and easily accessible.

    Hope you can help.

    Russell.

    Hi Russell

If the two slots of memory are not placed under the memory cover (lower side), one of them is usually placed under the keyboard. To access it, you must remove the plastic placed on the keyboard, and after that the keyboard itself.

    Hello!

This problem may occur if you add the memory (RAM) to the computer when it is in hibernation.

When the computer comes out of hibernation mode and load the file Hiberfil.sys, Microsoft Windows detects the change in the State of the memory, and then you receive the error message.

To resolve this issue, restart your computer.

If the problem persists, start the computer by using an emergency boot disk, and then delete the Hiberfil.sys file.

    Hi Samuel,.

We appreciate your efforts to solve this problem. We will put all our efforts in order to solve the problem.

Teredo is a tunneling protocol designed to grant IPv6 connectivity to nodes that are located behind IPv6 NAT (network address translation) not compatible devices. It defines a way of encapsulating IPv6 packets in IPv4 UDP (User Datagram Protocol) datagrams can be routed through NAT devices, on the IPv4 internet.

  • Upgrade memory on an all in a single LX830

I may upgrade the 4 GB provided to meet the requirements of the program. Additional memory needs to be installed in pairs? The existing 4 GB occupies a dwelling, can I mount 8 GB in another location or it will be incompatible?

Well, mainly upgrade memory depends on the support of the chipset/CPU.

Not quite sure what computer Toshiba LX830 do you have exactly but as far as I know the L830 all in one units would support up to 16 GB of RAM.

A property used by a 4 GB RAM module and housing is free.
This is why it must be able to use another additional module of 8 GB RAM.

But of course, another module of 8 GB RAM should be compatible with the current 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, you will get some compatibility issues

  • Performance degrades in Probook s 4540 after upgrade memory

Hello. I installed recently in my memory modules two Kingston Probook4540 (2x8gb ddr3 1600 CL10 240 pins). Since I did this, Windows 8 is much longer to start and performance dropped considerably. But, if I put only one of the two modules, or the original 4 GB module, Windows runs at normal speed.

I think it's a BIOS problem, as I see this error even on laptops the other brand, for example here
    http://superuser.com/questions/379970/laptop-is-incredibly-slow-after-RAM-upgrade

I have the latest BIOS version available (F31 26-SEP-2012).

    Thank you.

In case anyone is still interested in this topic:

It is a solution that worked for me.

It is not an official solution or supported.

I used the laptop intensively in the described configuration and had no problems that I can relate to the configuration of the memory.

Deduct from a 256 MB RAM memory available for OS could eliminate the problem for some processors.

    The solution runs on:
    -HP 4540S

    -i5 - 2450M

    -AMD/Intel switchable graphics card

    -16 GB OF RAM

    -Bios F.42

It might work for other processors.

Under Windows, you should deduct 256 MB of RAM, using EasyBCD or a similar tool.

    Instructions for EasyBCD:

Under Advanced settings/developer set 256 under "MiB deducted from physical memory", save the settings and reboot.

In Linux, the "mem = 17G" value in the boot of the kernel settings (actually deducted 256 MB).

    Edit:

On Windows 7 and later versions, you can also use the following instead of EasyBCD:

    bcdedit/set {current} removememory 256

(Run the command at the prompt with administrator privileges and restart).

  • Upgrade memory on NB300-108

Looking to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB on my NB300-108

Have you looked at the website of Toshiba and the cost, but there seems to be a plethora of alternative sites with upgrades memory compatible when I put in the part number.

    Hello

    The laptop supports DDR2 800 MHz SO-DIMM or PC2-5300 (DDR2 667 Mhz) modules.
These modules are provided by different companies.
There are good quality modules and less quality modules

Of course, you can choose and buy the cheapest, but in this case, you use the risk of compatibility problems.

I made good experiences with RAM from Kingston. These are of good quality and not too expensive modules

  • Upgrading memory on the NB550D - 11 d - 4 GB of RAM are possible

To anyone who thinks of a memory upgrade on the NB550D:

The NB550D supports up to 4 GB of memory, not only 2 GB as mentioned by Toshiba in their specifications.
Upgrade memory to 2 GB is _only limited_ by the pre installed Windows 7 Starter OS, and not by the netbook itself.

I use Linux Mint 11 Katya, 64-bit and my system works perfectly well with a 4 GB ram module. If you want to use the full support for 4 GB ram, get rid of the Win 7 Starter operating system.

Specifications for more memory ram volume are DDR3 1333 MHz PC3-10600 SO-Dimm. I chose a 4 GB of Corsair module, because of the guarantee of 30 years of offers from Corsair.

It took me a while to find this out hope, that this will be a help to all those who are just as secure as I was how to upgrade memory NB550D. Good luck. (o).

    Thanks for the comments

Also it of important to mention than the 32-bit systems (not serious if its Linux or Windows) would recognize only 3.2 GB since it is a limitation of 32-bit
So to use all of the 4 GB RAM 64-bit system is required.

  • Question about upgrading memory Satellite M55-S1001

can you please recommend what to do? I want to make my satellite m55-s1001 run faster please let me know, what do you recommend: 512 MB or 1 GB of memory? I'm not familiar with updates so please help!

    Hello

First of all, if you want to go for fastest laptop, you should start with simple things.
Try to defragment the disk, turn off the background process is not necessary, etc.
Upgrade memory will the powerful laptop and of course a lot more quickly.

To my knowledge the Satellite M55 should support the bars of memory 2 x 1024MB, and I also recommend the use of 1024MB instead of 512 MB module.
