• Upgrade to CS4 on new computer

  I have the current version of CS3 and want to upgrade to CS4, but on a new computer.  I don't think that CS3 can be installed again on my new computer (Win7 64 bit).  What are my options?

  Why do you think that CS3 installs? If CS3 is the full version and buy you the CS4 update all you have to do is install the CS4 and CS4 update will ask the serial number CS3 check that it is correct without CS3 on the computer...

  I intend to upgrade to CS4 (design premium) very soon, but want to keep the CS3. A representative from Adobe told me that when the upgrade to CS4, installation is written above CS3. Is this correct? I thought there was a way to keep the CS3 during the upgrade to CS4. If so, is this a special option which must be selected in the insatll? Reason being, I have a couple of clients who want jobs delivered in native format - some works in CS3 (InDesign) and one who works in CS2 (w/files in the InDesign Interchange format).   By default, it installs in places that won't disturb your CS3 components.

• Trying to upgrade to CS4 from CS3 Extended

  I'm trying to upgrade to CS4 CS3 Extended.  Web page States Adobe to call Adobe support for this upgrade.  I call them before I try the upgrade to ask what I should do.  They tell me to intall it and recall.  I get to the screen series and call, they tell me to fully install in trial mode, then remind.  I have this and remember, but notice that he installed CS4 Extended, CS4 No.  They tell me that they cannot help me because I bought only CS4.  That's all I want is CS4, so I uninstall CS4 extended and try again.  Once again (from disk) installation install CS4 Extended(At least that is what the title page says).

  Do I need to uninstall it before installing version CS4 CS3 Extended?

  The behavior is normal. Advanced features are dictated by the serial number when you buy the full version, but the trial still runs as PS Extended. Installation is the same, anyway.

  You haven't don't need CS4 to install CS6 (Upgrade). The serial numbers for the old and the new version will be enough.

  During the installation of the CS6 Setup invites you to enter the serial number previous version and the current version number.

  Enter the respective serial numbers when prompted and it should be good :-)

  Two issues here. I bought the educational of CS4 Extended version when I was in school. Is no longer at the school, I would like to upgrade to no educational CS6. First question: I can spend with my educational license at a non educational? Second question: can I make CS4 Extended CS6 standard? I have no need of extras with Extended.

  You better not, you simply buy a new license of discounted student if you still qualify. It's just the way it is.

  I disabled the CS3 on an older Mac and did a clean install of a CS4 upgrade to a new Mac (I just used the CS3 serial number to validate the upgrade). So, now I wonder if CS license would allow me to legally install the old CS3 on another computer? I know that I can install it legally on the same computer, but what about another computer?

  CS4 license replaces the license of CS3. Legally, they are tied together.

  Looking at the options of upgrade/eligibility under Photoshop CS4 Extended Upgrade in the store, there is no list for Photoshop CS4.  The difference in price (full-full) is $ 300.  So, if I am not mistaken, if I'm still "allowed" to update CS4 to CS4 Extended, it will cost me $50 more than if I had just bought CS4 Extended pure and simple?  Is this correct?  I can spend my old version of CS (8.0) for the same amount.  This does not seem right to me.

• Everyone has promised a year of training upgrade to Cs4? Still waiting?

  I'm waiting now for nearly two months to Adobe to get to the incentive they offered if I were to switch to Photoshop Cs4, I spent hours on the phone in Mumbai and customer support in the United States. My case has been "upgraded" and representatives agreed that I am to the training. The last promise that the issue would be resolved was made 22 days ago. I had a file open in the customer portal since June 30.

  I must say it was nice to talk to all the wonderful representatives in India. We spent hours while they tell me that they have no idea of what that is what I'm talking about and ask me to explain the case again and again. It's all to their file, which is updated every time that I give the floor. I call again right now. I'm 17 minutes listening to some music canned the worst on the planet. If I'm lucky that they don't patch me through the sales of Adobe in the States, who cannot do anything and are tired of hearing about these things, or a dealer in Reno in Nevada, which has happened once, honest.

  If I'm really lucky I'll receive a service representative who knows how to put the file to someone who will actually do something. Unlike the last time they said they would...

  The case has been closed by Adobe once and marked "resolved". I re-opened. I wonder if Adobe expects me simply drop this if they don't know me long enough. I don't want to.

  I have the same problem.  They offered, I accepted.  They shipped the upgrade but have not sent a key code or reacted to the case, I opened. Apparently the only people home of Adobe are those who take your money.  Can't be bothered to follow a simple query or even respond timely.

  I have the full version of Dreamweaver CS3. I bought and installed the Dreamweaver CS4 upgrade. Both are listed in my applications. Can I safely uninstall CS3 now to clear the room?

  I have CS4 installed on my old iMac (now at his last breath) and have recently bought a new machine. I'm hoping to get some advice on the question of whether I should reinstall (download and activate) CS4 on my new iMac or launch directly in the creative cloud? This means that if I put in place in the creative clouds, it will be not necessary to buy all updates since CS4 - CS5 - CS6? If I transfer my work overall, my CS4 files will open in creative cloud or, if I am to CS4, it will be compatible with the new environment of Mac OS X Yosemite?

  I mainly use Dw, Ps, Illustrator, Adobe Pro and now Lr under the new mounting platform for my photography work?

  Creative cloud is a completely independent product. There is no requirement for all previous versions. CS4 files should open very well, although of course a few things may be different. CS4 is not compatible with Yosemite, so this isn't a viable plan.

  If you bought CS4 CS6 & as a retail versions that will workin a box. A retail version Setup program is independent of the previous version installed on the machine that is it not will inspire you to enetr the previous version serial number during the installation.
