USB camera

I want to use a usb on sbRIO9636 camera, what types of components should I install? And are there examples of this application?

You cannot use a USB camera on any device LV RT.

I have a 'VF0700 Creative LIVE! Cam Chat HD"USB camera that worked well in Mac OS X before my update to OS X El Capitan. It appears as a USB device in the 'system' report and I tried different usb ports and reset the SMC and be "zapped" the LANDAU.  No idea if this will be fixed in future update?  It's a standard UVC camera and it works with Skype and photo booth, etc. with the old OS X (I have a Mac Pro 3.1) and I can boot the old system and it works fine).

From your description, your device should work with 10.11.4.

First, use Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 to check the user-specific problems. You may simply move on to a user account that does not have the problem.

(BTW - troubleshooting section called an "iSight" camera.  However, after that article was published, Apple has changed the name of the built-in camera on the recent "iSight" Macs "FaceTime", then "FaceTime HD."  Whatever the name of your built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

To check the user-specific problems, you must test several Apple app (photo booth, FaceTime, iMovie, QuickTime Player, etc.) in more than one user account.  Do NOT use a 'Guest' for this test account.  If you have not already established a separate user, testing account, create one now.  If you need help, how is explained in http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201754.

A 'Standard' user account is all you need for the tests.

If your camera will work properly with Apple in any OS X 10.11.4 applications user account, use OS X Recovery to reinstall completely your Mac OS X 10.11.4 System Recovery stored on your startup disk.  Don't bother test Skype or other 3rd party apps until you have your camera works with applications Apple.

  • iPod Touch 6th gen, lightning to the USB Camera adapter? Will it work?

    Hello

I would use this official Apple product for my iPod Touch gen 6 for that I can connect with many

    devices.

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MD821AM/A/lightning-to-USB-camera-adapter

Someone at - he's trying to use it since it is not "officially" supported for iPod Touch product line?

CCK is not supported on an iPod. The CCK has always relied on an iPad and iOS added 9.2 compatibility for iPhones...

  • The Apple Magic Keyboard can operate without bluetooth when connected to an iPad with the lightning to the USB camera adapter?

The Apple Magic Keyboard can operate without bluetooth when connected to an iPad with the lightning to the USB camera adapter?

I love the Apple Magic Keyboard to be very light (I want it with me everywhere). I also like that I can choose the layout of the keyboard I want (Canadian multilingual), which is not available on any keyboard for any brand, with the exception of Apple iPad (and I did a ton of research). I have problems with the old model of keyboard Apple Wireless because of the Bluetooth connection: I often have trouble connecting. I want a reliable keyboard. I don't like having to plug the keyboard on the iPad, and I think that a wired keyboard can more reliable and safer than a wireless keyboard. And a wired keyboard never had battery problems.

I read that the Apple Magic Keyboard can work wired with a Mac without bluetooth. And I read that some USB keyboards work with lightning to the USB camera adapter. There are several keyboards with a cable (Belkin or Logitech) lightning, but none with the available Canadian multilingual.

So, if I buy a magical keyboard Apple and a Flash to the USB adapter of the camera, according to my needs, I'll be satisfied or I'm going to be disappointed?

A better solution would be to have a male-male cable lightning between the keyboard and the iPad, but I don't find any of these products anywhere.

    Thank you.

It will not work. And where did you read that the keyboard works wired with a Mac?

  • Improve the resolution of Image of USB camera in LabVIEW

    Hello:

I am currently working on taking images in LabVIEW using a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 USB camera. I have attached the simple VI that I use. For some reason, LabVIEW is no longer able to take a picture of resolution 640 x 480 with this device. However, its capabilities are well beyond that. According to me, it can reach a resolution of image fixed of 1920 x 1080. How can I get LabVIEW to snap a picture at 1920 x 1080 with this device? I have attached a jpg of the VI.

    Thank you in advance,

    Brad

    Brad,

IMAQdx functions will not displayed either because you have not installed IMAQdx or they are not allowed. Both come on the setup of the Acquisition of the Vision, but are separate elements that can be enabled/disabled during installation. If you use the Vision Development Module, you should have a license to activate the IMAQdx as well. Check with the License Manager AND verify that it is authorized.

You'll really like using IMAQdx much better than IMAQ USB functions. There are many more features supported and it is fully supported in all software OR, as measurement and Automation Explorer. You can configure your camera inside MAX settings and then save and use them in LabVIEW automatically.

  • the USB camera to array image

    LabVIEW dear Experts,

I have a USB camera and I would like to use labview to make some simple image manipulation algorithms, problem is that I don't have Vision Development / modules Vision Assistant. I can extract a matrix of pixels of this device through labview without these modules? Just a 2d pixel values table... Thank you

If you want to do it all in LabVIEW, then you will have to buy the software for Acquisition of Vision.  You could then acquire the image, save it in a file and then use the reading * image * File.vi on the range of graphic Formats to read the image as a cluster pixmap.  You can then use the Unflatten Pixmap.vi to produce a 2D image data table.  If you do not need to acquire in LabVIEW, then save the image as a PNG, BMP or JPG and then do the same thing.  Once you have the table image you can perform calculations as you would any other table data.

  • usb cameras to sbRIO interface

    Hello

We have a humanoid robot which has engines Dynamixel actuators for the movement of the hand and the usb camera high definition to the eyes. I want to build a control in real time of the robot to mimic the movements of the hand of a human being. For this I use sbRIO 9633 which has a processor FPGA and real-time. My first task is to get the images of the eyes in the sbRIO usb cameras do image processing and extract the skeletal details. My questions are the following

b are there already existing drivers for usb cameras that can be installed in sbRIO to get images or streaming video?

    (b) someone wrote drivers for depth as XBOX Kinect for any target integrated measuring devices (I've found for Windows)?

    (b) if the usb port can be controlled through FPGA or is the USB interfaced directly with processor in real-time?

    (c) any acquisition images using sbRIO help to control in real time is appreciated.

    Thank you

I want to only connect a camera usb with labview. How can it be difficult. any help would be appreciated.

    see you soon

    Hello

You first need to make sure that the USB camera is DirectShow compatible.  If it is not it will not work with the software of our vision. You must use the drivers IMAQdx (which requires a license) to acquire from a USB webcam.  Once you have installed the drivers IMAQdx (Vision Acquisition Software) and drivers that come with the webcam is installed, you should be able to see it able & Automation Explorer (MAX).  Once you can see it in MAX you can use it like any other device in LabVIEW.

    Kind regards

  • Camera not found, error 1074360311 occurred at IMAQdx Open Camera.vi, USB cameras labview 2013 64 (bitts)

I use USB cameras with labview 2013, and I can acquire images in the MAX and in the Acquisition of mink (express) settings, but when I run the VI, always appear the same error as shown in the Image below.

-J' checked the correct versions of my software, IMAQ, IMAQdx, VDM 2013 IMAQ of e/s

-J' I also make sure I had all the updated device drivers.

-I'm using IMAQdx LKD schema and examples, getting the same error uu

    Help, please!

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

If it works in the pop up app Express VI and inside MAX (the two 32-bit applications), then I guess it will work in 32-bit LabVIEW. We wonder why it does not work in 64-bit LabVIEW, but these are the drivers of the device and other pieces of infrastructure/DirectShow Windows.

  • How can I select a path to save the images of USB camera

    Hello

I am using USB camera for my project, I want to control this camera to detect a human body, with a motion detector and capture images.

My question is how can I select a path to save these images captured from USB camera?

in the figure below, the program I use for my USB camera

  • Size of capture USB camera

I have the camera USB 'chat' with a resolution of 640 x 480, but IMAQdxSnap or IMAQStartAquasition.vi enter 1280 x 960 pixel of the image. How to change the size of the bucket to the native size.

I have LV and Vision 2010

I am using 2009, but it should work for you.

Open Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) and select your USB camera under: devices and Interfaces-> NOR-IMAQdx devices.

Select the attributes of the Acquisition.

Select the video Mode you want (640 x 480) in the menu dropdown.

Click Save at the top of the window.

    Now, run your application.

  • error of vision usb camera

    Hello

I use version 9 LabVIEW and Vision Acquisition software and a USB 2.0 digital camera. My mistake is that when I run my VI, Vision Acquisition software cannot find the camera but cannot find if the VI is not running. (Below is the error I get). How can I solve this problem?

    Hello END.

    Still having the same error?

When you say "can find only if the VI is not running", can you elaborate on this statement? You are able to see your USB camera inside Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) and you are able to successfully retrieve the images from there? It will be the first thing to check. Because if it can capture images within MAX, then you will not be able to your VI.

You can also check that your Vision (SAV) acquisition software license is indeed enabled for your computer. You can check by going to the license OR Program Manager.

  • Application that created on another computer will not connect usb-camera

    Hello, friends!

    I have a problem:

My application that was created on my computer does not connect usb-camera on the other computer. I installed the LabView run-time engine and the runtime of vision on this computer but it is not useful :-(application is open, but the usb device not running.

I'll be thanked for any help with this problem!

    Thank you very much!

It's the solution to the problem:

    Solution:
To run an exe containing NEITHER-IMAQ for USB functions, follow these steps on the computer that is running the EXE file:

    1. Install the following execution engines:

      • LabVIEW Run - time Engine (same version that was used to develop the VI)
      • Execution of vision engine (same version that was used to develop the VI)
        • One Vision single-seater deployment license is required for each computer target on which you install the runtime of the Vision. See all the related links for more details.
    2. Copy the following dll files to the directory on your development computer system, usually C:\Windows\system32 directory of your target machine system.
      • ImaqDirectShowDll.dll
      • ImaqDirectShowExport.dll
    3. Register at ImaqDirectShowExport.dll by the Windows Start Menu , click run. Type regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\ImaqDirectShowExport.dll, and then click OK to register the DLL.

If you are on a different operating system or if the system folder is different and that you want to copy the path instead of typing all the way, you can drag the file to the command line at the prompt to run it, highlight the path, right-click and select it copy.  Paste in the command prompt by right-clicking and selecting window block.

The ImaqDirectShowDll doesn't have to be registered.

Once these steps are completed, and the DLL is registered successfully, your EXE will work.  Vision Acquisition software or Vision Development Module must be installed on the target computer.

  • MAX cannot find two usb cameras at the same time

    Hello

I want to use two cameras usb (Thorlabs DCC 1545 M) in NOR-IMAQdx in Labview, but it cannot find a single camera (the one plugged earlier), and also a single camera is shown in MAX. Both cameras working in the manufacturer's software, and if I unplug the 1 unit, the 2nd will be displayed in MAX after a refresh.

I found that one camera is supported for each USB hub in Labview, and all USB ports in this computer correspond to a same hub online. I don't know if this is causing the problem.

In fact, I need to take the picture in both cameras at the same time, a switch programmed between the two cameras will work for me.

Any suggestion and comment will be appreciated.

    Hello Hosni,

According to this link, you can acquire from multiple USB cameras simultaneously.  The limitation is on the manufacturer and how they interface with the bus of DirectShow.  When you use two cameras of the same make and model, it sometimes happens that not enough information is not IMAQdx to distinguish between the two cameras.  When you switch to MAX cameras, they come as different cameras, or they appear actually virtually the same?

Since you said switching between them might work, I found an example that does just that.  Just make sure you give a name to each camera single camera.  I hope this will be useful for you.

In addition, there is a bit of discussion on this topic on the forum of discussion already.  Check out these related threads, or use the search box to search for more.  There is much information available!

  • Mark an object in real time on a displayed video acquired of a USB camera

    Hello

I'm a beginner LabView user company acquired a project in which I need to see the video from a USB camera in LabView on computer screen. In the video, there will be a piece of metal, which is always a fixed position at the bottom left of the view. I need to mark a sign like arrow on the metal part, please take a look at the attached picture. In order to recognize the easier metal part in the photo, I drew a line of blue on the edge of the part, while the arrow was green. The arrow must point radially towards the center of the blue line (but the blue line may not need to be created) and must be there whenever I start the VI, throughout the video.

How to view the video? Is it possible to create the arrow in LabView (either programmatically or manually mapping arrow)? If it is impossible to make the arrow, is it possible to simply mark a cross in the center of the blue line? The blue line doesn't have to be on the video.

I have 2010 LabView with Vision Development Module. My camera are in the outlying NI-IMAQdx able and Automation Explorer section.

    Thank you
