USB mouse no longer works on laptop Samsung

I recently bought a USB Wired mouse for my laptop Samsung RV515, running Windows 7 Home Premium, but after only 2-3 months of use, she decided suddenly cut today and stop working. When he broke down the red light blinking and turn off all the seconds, and then finally he stops flashing and does not at all. What happened in three USB 2.0 ports to your laptop. I then tried to restart the laptop to see if the mouse wouldn't work, but it did not work after restarting. I also tested on another PC in my house, but it also did not work on this point, confirming that the mouse was a little broken and useless.

I had the same mistakes with two previous mouse in this laptop, one of them only a week.  I don't know if mice are just not reliable because they are cheap to a local supermarket in the United Kingdom, if my USB drivers are defective or need an update late ones.
Please can someone diagnose me the problem? And if it's a driver problem, is there a way to update?

You crossed 3 mouse on this laptop? You should get the voltage output checked on your USB ports.

  • Satellite A210 - 11 c PSAEG: Vista SP1 - USB mouse no longer works

    Hello

I have an A210 - 11 c (PSAEG) with Vista. A few weeks ago and after installing Vista SP1 my mouse USB optical (wired Logitech V100), began to fail - the background lighting of the mouse turns off and the pointer freezes.
The first time I used to disconnect, then return to the mouse, which solved the problem.

Later I had to change the USB port as well, in order to make this work. And finally, since yesterday, the mouse has stopped of works not at all on the laptop. Plug it into a USB port, Vista displays a notice of unknown/a device failed, but not more details.

Moving the mouse over other PC shows the material is ok - the mouse is recognized and work.
I also tried to connect other USB devices (an MP3 player), which seems to work fine as well.

So, it doesn't seem to be problem USB Hub.

Everyone knows about similar problems after Vista SP1?

    Cheers, Ivo Kolev

    Hello

    > Is - anyone experienced similar problems after Vista SP1?
From my experience, not all devices, drivers, etc. are compatible with the Vista SP1.
I read many articles about the teething problems

Have you noticed the same thing without SP1?

    However, I would recommend this;
Go to Device Manager and remove the USB controllers and USB hubs.
Reboot the laptop. While Vista again recognizes the USB ports.

After this short intervention, try connecting the mouse still once

  • The mouse no longer works on Satellite Pro A200-1F9 (on Windows and Linux)

Hello. Suddenly, my USB mouse doesn't work on my satellite pro A200-1F9 laptop. I had this same problem on my Linux (Ubuntu Feisty) for the last week or two, but today was the first time that the mouse no longer works in Windows. Ideas for what's gone wrong? (If I boot Linux with the attached mouse, I get an error message when loading upward.) The mouse does not work it is logged at startup or I plug it later).

Under Windows and Linux, the laptop still recognizes my external HD which also has a USB connection...

    Thanks, Shoko.

In my opinion, you should test the USB feature. If you are 100% sure that the USB ports are working well check your mouse or try to use the other.

  • Satellite A100-062 - USB mouse does not work

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A100-062.

I've never been able to get a USB mouse to work with her.
The OS is Vista Home Premium, whenever I have plug in a USB mouse, the operating system detects a device has been connected to the USB port, but eventually the message material has not installed successfully.

So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to mice only, I've successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
I tried several USB mouse with the machine exclude a problem with my original mouse.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Thank you

    > So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to the mouse only, I have successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
Looks like a problem with the USB mouse and not with the laptop or with USB ports
I would recommend testing different mouse and using the other.

  • USB mouse & keyboard stop working after the upgrade of Intel generic drivers drivers!

Original Post: USB mouse & keyboard stop working after upgrade to generic drivers

After you install Windows, the Generic USB controller drivers are installed. My mouse & keyboard as planned work & that are each recognized as "compatible mouse/keyboard HID."

After I installed the Intel drivers for root USB controller, the mouse & keyboard stop working and are classified as unknown. Shortly after, they are considered HP USB Optical Mouse & HP USB Standard keyboard, however the drivers never properly install and they remain under unknown devices with a yellow exclamation point.

I have searched high & low for these device drivers, they do not exist. I installed the drivers for all of the materials appearing on the site of the seller. This has happened on several computers, laptops and desktop computers.

I've done all the troubleshooting I can think. Uninstalled all the controllers/USB hubs & restarted. Switched USB ports, I tried new mouse & keyboard, wanted Windows updates.

The only way I can make it work is if I use the generic Windows drivers, who then recognized the mouse & KB "HID compliant". It seems that if I install Intel drivers, it recognizes the mouse & keyboard more in detail and he wants specific drivers to continue.

Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply.

If possible, try to install the operating system with recovery media. On this way, you will have to factory settings. It's the best test you can do. If the problem persists, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Sorry but on this path is not easy to tell what the problem may be.

  • Microsoft wireless mouse no longer works on Inspiron 8200

Our Microsoft Wireless mouse no longer works on our Inspiron 8200. We have a red light on the mouse so it's on and we just changed the battery in the mouse. The computer no longer recognizes the mouse. Before his stoppage of work completely computer did not come out of standby/hibernation mode correctly. He had to press the power button rather than wake up it with the mouse.

Now that I have attached a wired mouse, he wakes up as it should with the movement of the mouse or a key.

Do you by chance have a solution that I can download?

    Thank you.

  • Built in camera Chicony USB no longer works on laptop Satellite A200

All of a sudden, the built-in in my laptop Satellite A200 Chicony USB webcam has stopped working - it was going very well about 6 weeks ago, but now it's as if he has actually disappeared from the laptop. The camera does not even on devices such as equipment manager - there is no single category of imaging devices (unless I am also connected to our printer/scanner). It is also not displayed in 'scanners and cameras' folder in the control panel. But the software (Toshiba Camera Assistant software) is still there. Weird.

When I start the computer first, or at other times try to start the camera, an error message appears that says:
    * "webcam driver open fail. Restart the computer or the camera. "

Before you tell me to download and reinstall the drivers, let me tell you what I "ve tried so far:"
    1 restart the computer (obviously)
2 downloaded the driver for my model on this site and variously has tried to repair, replace and finally uninstalled and reinstalled the. IT IS NOT THE DRIVER!
3 unplugged my wireless USB mouse and restart the computer (I read on another thread that it sometimes interferes with the camera)
4 tried to get the computer looking for new hardware - he couldn't find it.
5 tried a system restore, where it was linked to a recent update - I tried this using three different restore points system, and none of them could not be completed.

    Help! necessary technical assistance
    Thank you

All that you have done is just.

In all this history it's strange this webcam is not listed in Device Manager.
In my opinion, you should do a final test to check the operation of the equipment, if you want to install the OS by using recovery DVDs.

With own factory and OS preinstalled settings, you can check the operation of the equipment and see if the cam will work or not.
If the problem will be the same I'm almost sure it's related to the faulty webcam.
