USB WD My passport not recognized

Recived just this computer today. While trying to load programs and files from my USB WD BACY5000ABK-01 drive, Win 7 defective key to recognize and install the driver. Research on WD peripherals USB device error I found these instructions.

. Right-click on my computer, select manage.

. On the new screen, select Device Manager and then look on the WD SES drivers with yellow mark,

. Then right-click on it and select update drivers.

. Now select WD Smartware and drivers WD SES under Extras.

This procedure could not solve the DIF.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Solved

After you have installed all updates, including drivers. System persisted in reconizing no not the WD my passport.

After extensive research on the Web, it turned out to be a power supply problem. When the SS ports have been tested, the pressure fell below the amount required to run the my passport.

A mobile AC powered USB 2.0 hub has been connected to the unit, and my passport was recognized for the first time.

System is now operational.

Thanks for any help to solve this problem.

  • WD Passport not recognized under XP.

My XP SP3 has ceased to recognize my WD passport. I have it plugged into another computer running the same operating system and he showed fine. So what's my problem?

Hey racerokc. First back up the data that is on the drive so you can connect it to another device. Then after following the advice of PML, if she does not turn out to be a bad USB port, you can try setting the reader a new letter. Here you can see how to do this on different versions of Windows: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/137

If this help not be you can try reinstalling the drivers for the HARD disk. If none of this helps you can contact support WD here: http://support.wdc.com/contact/index.asp?wdc_lang=en

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • WD My Passport not recognized as drive external HARD on windows 7

    Hello

I would like to ask if anyone has experienced this and how the address the issue:

I just bought a WD My Passport Ultra 1 TB and tested on two devices (desktop to Win7 ultimate) and portable Win7 Pro. At first I used it on my desk and it it detected as required WDC but subsequently using the router as its update driver.

-J' checked the Disk Manager, and he's not here.

-J' checked Device Manager, it is detected as "Internet access server" (maybe the reason a router driver has been used).

-J' tried to uninstall the server "Internet access" and restart the system to flush it out

-The Office again the HDD detected as "Internet access server.

-J' checked BIOS and it is clearly detected as external WD HARD drive

After all this I tried on the laptop. No problem and did a reformat of the hard drive so that it can be detected as a disk of expenses by the office. Still no luck.

Hope someone can help me here.

    Thank you

  • Satellite T110 - powered by USB CD/DVD drive not recognized in BIOS

I have the T110, I can create recovery disks in Windows but when I restart the computer and press F12 it shows no CD/DVD drive in the BIOS.

So I can't restore to start or boot from external CD/DVD drive.

    Help!

    Hey,.

I n t have the laptop in front of me but check the BIOS if you can find an option called USB legacy support. If Yes, you need to activate this feature that your laptop can recognize the external hard drive.

You can boot from a USB? I mean that you can also create files recovery on a USB key, so it would also be an option to restore factory settings.

  • My external USB hard drive was not recognized. Difficulty?

The subject line says all this.

It is important that I have access to the XHDD. That I am I missing that will make this happen via a USB connection?

Ok. When you connect your XHDD for the WinXP, you should be able to see it using the workstation.

You should also see an icon and icons for your CD-ROM, disk, nextwork and speaker in the lower corner of the WS7 similar to the following.

Right-click on the icon XHDD next to the "speaker" icon and select Connect (disconnect from the host) for you disconnect from your XHDD of the host (WinXP) and connet to the virtual machine (WS7). You can also right-click on the icon and disconnect (connect to the host) to return the XHDD to the WinXP.

    I hope this helps.

    Here's the riddle:
When I plug it into the same old PC under XP Pro SP3, it is recognized and works.
When I plug it into a new PC running Vista Home Premium, it is recognized and works

  • DCR-TRV460 USB connection not recognized

Connection USB DCR-TRV460 is not recognized by Windows 7 Home Premium.

According to Sony, it is not supported and no downloads are available.

My daughter was married last week. His entire marriage is recorded on the tape in the camcorder above. Not realizing there is a problem downloading the pictures stored in the computer, I'm mortified loss. I expect to transfer, edit, and create several DVDs for the family.

Please, can someone help me with a solution to this problem? I'm desperate!

    Thank you for your message.
The DCR-TRV460, unfortunately, is not compatible with the windows operating system 7. If you used a stick of memory to record the video, then you can just insert the memory stick on your computer. Assuming that you used the Ribbon, your other option is to connect the camcorder to a compatible PC and transfer the video files to a memory stick or CD. You can download the files on your own pc to edit and make more copies. I suggest to use the memory stick in the camera so that you can easily download files on your home pc
