Hi all. I have a 2008 dv6000 that came with Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG. I intend to switch to the N compatible card soon. But I'm curious to know if my wireless adapter is not compatible, in my Windows 7 '& network connections' N why I see a lot of my neighbours networks N? 3945ABG would be able to connect to these networks N?

In addition, a N Router transmits abg frequencies as well? I mean they're backword compatible?

Thanks for your help and your time.

    Hi, Ashraf:

According to the user manual of your router Attaché it supports mixed modes.

    FTP://downloads.NETGEAR.com/files/DGN1000_UM_19Jan10.PDF

As far as getting better reception or the beach, according to previous article I posted the guys wrote up to an increase of 50% because of the additional antennas in a N router.

I guess you'd have to plug it in and give it a try.

The link to the FAQ on your router is also attached:

With the above information, you should have everything you need to get your operational router.

  • Acquisition with USRP 2953R of the GPS signal

    Hi all

How can I configure a 2953R USRP receive GPS signals? I have an antenna VERT900 connected to the GPS ANT of the USRP port, but in the example VI 'niUSRP EX Rx with GPS', I can't reference this port in the field 'Active antenna'. I put only things like TX/RX or RX1 etc. Should what values I put in other areas as well? I know that the L1 band is 1575,42 MHz.

    Hello

The example you posted shows you how to acquire an RF signal on the ports of the USRP with internal clock RF and sources of reference defined in the GPS.

To make it work properly, you must have a GPS antenna connected to the Terminal on the GPS device and installed in a place that receives a good level of GPS signal.

The other control of antenna on the schema defines the port on which to receive the RF signal.

If you want to capture and analyze the signal GPS (RF) itself, you can tune into the front-end RF (carrier frequency) at the right frequency of GPS band and connect your GPS antenna to the RF port.

You can use the simple niUSRP EX Rx continuous Async.vi in this case (but may not work due to the very low consumption of GPS RF signal)

  • BNC-2110, 6023E PCI card and Labview V9.0: is the sensitivity of data acquisition (change more little detectable voltage) 0.002V?

BNC-2110, 6023E PCI card and Labview V9.0: sensitivity of data acquisition (change more little detectable voltage) is 0.002V

Hi, I use the software/hardware above to read a voltage of a potentiostat world Precision Instruments No..

I'm trying to record changes in voltage as low as 0.0003V but using the wizard DAQ, I seem to be limited to a sensitivity of 0.002V.  This is the limit of real sensitivity or have I missed something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi DCAM77,

    Thanks for joining the forums!

The PCI or 6023E has a 12-bit ADC.  In other words, it can make the difference between 4096 (2 ^ 12) different levels within the range of cards.  The card you have has a selectable range by ± 10 V, ± 5 V, ± 500 mV or ±50 mV software.

This means that the minimum detectable variation will be 4 mV, 20 mV, 244 µV or 24, depending on the chosen range µV.

You should be able to use the ± 500 mV or ±50 mV to get the least significant bit (LSB) value, you need, even if it means that your signal is located between these values.  If not, then you need to consider other materials to the application, or the addition of external circuits across the signal.

32-bit and 64-bit LabVIEW can both be installed on the same PC and coexist without problem.

  • Loss of signal HDMI in Windows Media Center

I have a Dell Studio Hybrid PCs only running Windows Vista Home Edition Premium attached to a Samsung LN52A750 LCD HDTV via HDMI. If I turn on the TV away from the PC input and back, I lose the video signal... but only when Windows Media Center is running in full screen.

    It works fine:

    1. Turn on the TV.
    2. Switch to PC input on the TV.
    3. Turn on the PC.
    4. Start Windows Media Center.
    5. Turn off the PC.
    6. Turns off the TV (or switch to a different input).

    This also works very well:

    1. Turn on the TV.
    2. Switch to PC input on the TV.
    3. Turn on the PC.
    4. Start Windows Media Center.
    5. Minimize Windows Media Center.
    6. Turn on the TV to a different entry, but leave the PC.
    7. Turn on your TV to the PC - you see always the computer.

    It does NOT work:

    1. Turn on the TV.
    2. Switch to PC input on the TV.
    3. Turn on the PC.
    4. Start Windows Media Center.
    5. Turn on the TV to a different entry, but leave the PC with Windows Media Center in full screen running .
    6. Try to turn on the TV to the PC - no picture or sound is on the screen and the PC must be restarted to return sound/video fully.

I came across this problem recently (after the passage of a VGA/DVI to HDMI connection). First of all, I came across it when the PC would go to sleep - the video signal stops and the TV stop see the PC signal, even once the PC is awake. I have read a bit online and thought it was something people call a problem of 'EDID handshake. " I thought simply not let the computer sleep (and do not turn off the PC video) would fix it, but I ran into another issue. Kind of a twist.

I was showing friends how Media Center worked, I spent in the PC, showed them Windows Media Center, spent in a different entry, then switched back to the PC (because I forgot to show you something). The blue background of Media Center appeared for a split second and the signal was instantly lost. I had to reload completely in order to recover the signal.

I retried the experience - shot to the top of Media Center, active the TV away from the computer, then it passed right away - same result. Restart lost, hard signal.

I don't know how I fell on it, but at some point, I had the experience with a twist. I pulled to the top of the computer, started Media Center and reduced. Then I moved the TV away from the PC and back... and the signal was always there. I did it again, and again, the signal was there. The TV turns off and on again - signal always there. Then I enlarged Media Center, changed television away from the PC, and when I came back... NO SIGNAL.

So: with full-screen Media Center loses the signal, but when Media Center is reduced to a minimum the signal remains.

I started thinking about how my recent use of the Media Center differed from the previous time. Normally, I use the Media Center, watch a movie or something and then go and do something else. I'm back from PC to something else and back. And every time that I had spent in the PC and he had kept the signal, the screen saver has been on - the screen saver 'bubbles '.

Something that I noticed with the screensaver "Bubbles" is that it sometimes brings the Windows taskbar in the foreground so it 'up' to the Windows Media Center full screen appears. I usually turn the television on the PC input before "wake the computer" and to get the screensaver to go.

Now I wonder if the lost signal has something to do with Windows Media Center. I have [I think] know a bit the functioning of Windows and the concept of execution of different 'offices '. I wrote a screensaver in C++ unmanaged long ago and I remember there was some crazy stuff that you have to do when you write an application "windowless" (as Media Center - there is no border around it when it goes full screen) and make the "caches", as the screen saver 'bubbles '. I wonder if he has something to do with the standard Windows Desktop works correctly but the Windows Media Center app full screen "desktop" does not properly.

I tried another experience where I kept full screen WMC, leave the TV losing signal and press Win + D to minimize and show the desktop. Then I went to the TV in the back. No luck - once the signal has been lost, it was lost for good.

I did since then research various responses. I read that defining the ACPI suspend mode S3 would fix it, but it doesn't. I tried implementing a keyboard shortcut attached to a script that could change the display resolution of 640 x 480 and then change back because I read changing the resolution to update the signal - which did not work.

Basically, I got no alternative except to keep WMC reduced when it is not in use.

I'll try to set the screen saver "Bubbles" to 1 minute or something and see if that will at least let me inputs turn on the TV after one minute of inactivity. Yet, it would be good to know if there is some setting I'm missing.

    Hello Travis and Jmelton98,

Thank you for posting.  Your tests of Travis and additional post of Jmelton, it seems it will be probably something that only can be set by the video card drivers.  If you were to look at the known issues for some drivers, you would see similar questions types.  It is one of the reasons for the drivers for video cards are updated so often.  Sometimes there will be a problem so important that they will release a special patch to fix (like what happened during the crisis game is released).  There should be a new series of pilots soon become availible.

Please try and see if the problem persists.  Thank you both for the replies that it will help others too. Zack

    Hello

Do not forget that when we deploy a wireless setup, that we should always do a site survey to determine the amount of access points you need, power levels to use on each access point, where each point of access so that you can get the Mbps required by the client on each access point since as you know wireless is half-duplex and also a shared environment.

Also depending on how God the signal quality is too each customer, they will get a rate of data required.

Would not a number since it all depends on the amount of customers you need to press on the site and bandwidth per customer.

Here is the link for the FAQ of the site survey.

  • Magnetic sensor to the top of analog frequency AC for Turbine flow meter measurement

    Hello!!

I use the following hardware configuration to measure a flow meter flow turbine.

    Material: 1000 SCXI Chassis

    SCXI 1102 voltage input module

    SCXI-1303 terminal connection block

Flowmeter: output signal is the frequency of the alternating current (30mv peak-to-peak). Sensor is a magnetic sensor type.

I tried to convert the signal of output voltage in the area of frequency using the FFT, but I get the wrong data.

I wonder if anyone can suggest good troubleshooting techniques so that I can understand what is mess up my position or my technique of measurement in labview itself will not completely? (From my understanding I think that I can measure the frequency of the ac voltage signal generated by the sensor of the FFT. By measuring the frequency I can calculate the water flow)

I am aware that a potential cause might be the ground loop in the system. The signal is based solely on the SCXI-1102 with factory default bias and pullup resistior network. I see no other reason reading wrong or fault in my measurment. Also the flowmter is brand new and there is no risk of damage to the sensor.

I'm sorry if I'm missing out on any important detail to answer that I am relatively new on the techniques of data acquisition.

    Thank you

It's conditioning of signals... and that's what you want to do, so it's not so far

And if your signal about 30mV Ridge to Ridge, it fits perfectly in the beach of crete to 200mV Ridge...  I wouldn't say no need of amplification... the + 100mV is not a minimum of signal, this is the maximum signal in this range

Hang it up, take a measurement in single channel mode with one all 10kSPS sample rate take 100ms (1000points) and feed in single tone detection...

display with a graph of signal, stop the vi, in the rigth diagram, click the graph icon and create a constant, save that in a vi and post here if you need help in signal processing

  • Shift register do not add

    Hi all

I am trying to use the shift register adding all the waveform detected. The additional result will be divided the current number of waveform to the average score. However, it seems that the shift register does not at all. See the image below, if the waveform number is 1000, the intensity of the signal averaging is of only 1/1000 of the signal detected. Theoreically, if no noise present and the shift register has added each detection, the average signal should be identical to the detected signal. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thank you very much

First of all you should be dividing by the end of the inner loop, I not + 1 of the outer loop.

If you want an average on the outer loop as well, you need a registry change in this loop.

  • Pavilion G6 2338sl: hardware button to turn off the touchpad does not work on Windows 10

    Hello

I have a Pavilion G6 mobile 2338sl. When I was on Windows 8.1 the touchpad worked a lot, so I've updated for Windows 10. Windows updated my drivrs to last, provided also by Synaptics (19.0.19.1). HP says the moment is upgrade from Windows to provide the driver for this laptop, as you can see on the driver support page. The touchpad works, the parameters can be set (gestures etc.), the touchpad turns off when another mouse is connected (it's ok).

The problem is that if I use the touchpad and I want to turn off the button, it does not work and the computer reacts like a click. So I returned to the old driver and button works. But Windows Update continusly updated the driver (I disabled the option in the advanced settings, but it still update) and I come to every time.

So I tried to reinstall Wndows freshly (not update Windows 8.1) and with the old driver works, but when she updates to 19.0.19.1, the button to turn off the work stoppage.

I looked on the interent and someone tips to set minimum detection of palm. I tried but it still not working.

I hope someone can help me

SMU-5641R (two entries are used; one for each NI PXI-5600)

    PMA-1115

    LabVIEW 2009

I use the mode of the instrument to detect the signal to jump and write in a spreadsheet in real time.

My question is that how can I take out from the SMU-1062 q on LAN so that I can re - generate the detected signal? I enclose my VI. Kindly guide me that how I can get my detected signal output on a PXI LAN?

    Thank you and best regards,

Looks like you want to use published network variable brightness.  You can find this information here http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4679 , but basically, you need to do a LabVIEW on each computer you want to Exchange data between and linking the shared variable between them.  At this point you can transfer data from one machine to the other via the LAN to write to a file and view in the User Interface.

  • Configure the input voltage range

I use an NI USB-6221 with SignalExpress 3.0 card.

    The Spec for the 6221 map specifies 4 analog input ranges of +/-10V, 5, 1, & 0.2.

My question, how is the range of input voltage on the map on one of the beaches specified?

The closest thing I can find in SignalExpress is step 'DAQmx aquire', looking at the tab "configuration" of "Configuring the stage." There is a group called 'settings', there are areas of maximum and minimum input Signal, but context-sensitive help indicates that it is expected for the channel after the scaling values.

I also looked into MAX, but I see no way for me to directly configure one of these ranges.

Can someone explain how this works?

    Mike

You look at the right thing. When you specify the min and max, the DAQmx driver and then automatically selects the best range of this signal. For example, the Council supports + /. 1 + /-1, at ± 5 and ± varies from 10 volts and a jury of 12 bits. If you enter max/min to + /-2, the jury will be set to the +/-5 volt range. Your resolution is then 10 (oscillation of the total voltage) volts divided by 4096 (2 * 12).

If you were using LabVIEW, you can get the actual voltage selected range by using channel properties DAQmx AI. Rng.High and I. Rng.Low. If you specify a min and max that is less than the amplitude of the real signal is greater than the actual scale used, then you cut your input signal. DAQmx does not have an autoscale. Take a look at Page 4-2 in the Manual of the M series.

  • I recently our old Windows Vista out of storage, I'm helping with the implementation?

In fact, I have a series of questions keeping to that, but at the moment my highest priority is to find how to get it all together to the top.

We had it for 9 years, and during that time my mother was barely used and the only time I ever to remember being able to use would be in 2008 and 2012, but in those moments I was pretty young and I caused internet several related problems. After 2012, you don't really mess with it then, but now that I'm starting to regret buying a mac I recently just to set up our vista.

I got everything plugged. There is this blue connector Jack (which I assume is the monitor cord) and I connected on the screen where it belongs. There is another string (which I assume is the power cord) and it is plugged, so far, there are only two outlets in the monitor. The computer itself has a cord of black power, the mouse + keyboard cable and the cable from the monitor. Everything is plugged in and well, but after turning the computer and then proceed to turn on the monitor, I get a message that says 'No detected Signal' with three blocks under it, red, blue and green. Am I missing a cord?

One of the main reasons why I'm doing a switch from my mac to my old windows is due to PaintTool SAI, is available for Vista? And wacom is compatible with vista? It seems to be that some plug-ins to the back of the computer so that it could work. Also, would I be able to upgrade our computer to Windows 7 after setting up?

If it's a desktop pc, & 9 years old, then you must replace the battery in MB, it controls CMOS (plug & play).

Simply turn pc off, remove the battery, wait 10 min.replace with the new. Once the pc boot, enter the BIOS, reset

DateTime, the value for the add-on equipment, set the boot priority, save and exit. Also, read the owner's manual, + all ports

must have an icon engraved, showing what sound for... A year 9 old pc wouldn't be good, or compatible

Win 7 run microsofts Win 7 compatibility...
