If the swap file itself grows in fact you may suspect a leak memory by an application, it is called a leak 'Paged', usually, notice increased use of pagefile with an increasing slowness of the machine.  As the demand for 'leaks' or consumes more memory Windows pages pages of the RAM in the swap file, where the name, 'Paged' leaking, leaks memory in the paging file.

The Task Manager is not a very good job of giving you the 'real' swap file usage, to get use accurate, you can analyze the file with the corresponding Perfmon counter or you
can use PageFileMon from Doug Knox utility: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_pagefilemon.htm

Open your task manager and click on the view menu and click Select columns...  Put a check mark on the columns paged and Thread Count.  Keep an eye on these columns over a period of time, showing a constantly growing number likely suspicious process Thread.

You can monitor these counters with Perfmon, that might be useful:

  • When I open the Task Manager and select "Show processes from all users" there are 2 files virus csrss.exe?

    original title: virus csrss.exe?

I use Vista Home Premium.  When I open the Task Manager and select "Show processes from all users" there are 2 files csrss.exe.  I learned that this indicates that I was infected by a virus.  Is this the case?

    Hi Julie,.

Did you the latest changes on the system?

Csrss.exe is Client/Server Runtime Subsystem.  All the Microsoft system has file csrss.exe running in the Task Manager, but it is likely to be infected by others. If it uses a lot of time processor and extremely abnormal in activities in the Task Manager, you can run a scan of the system security.

You can read the following article to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer.

  • Make in as3 = high priority tasks Manager?

Make in as3 = high priority tasks Manager?

I discovered that when I was playing my game on the flashplayer.exe. I went to the Manager task 'set priority' to keen on the flashplayer and BOOM everything works and it was block on 30 fps each image.

Now is anyway that I can do this in as3?

    I use Flash Cs5.5

No, and you should never want to. If your application gets out of control, it will take down the system. Most of the process with much lower priority and if your application makes it unable to operate, it's a guaranteed system lock.

What you need to do, is find ways to optimize your game to stay within the limits of the system average people.

AS3 has no access to the operating system unless you use a projector and an extender like MDM Zinc mProjector or scenes or similar. Even in this case, you need to hang a DLL which has access to processes that can increase your own process priority. It is simply not recommended in all chances are that your application will run silky on my system, but your system is just a little more dated.

First, please try to find ways to optimize the game.

  • Pages showing "in miniature" (only for Firefox only, remote files) Chrome and local files is displayed correctly.

Hello, all. I have a real headache, here. I hope someone can help.

When I use "Preview in browser" (set to FIrefox) all pages of the site appear at the size you want (1280w x different heights). (Firefox is, of course, display of local files). But when I visit your site on the web (remote server files display) the pages are all pretty small, about half the size, width, and height. It drives me crazy. I am quite sure, this is the same code page, and it is the same browser (Firefox), how this could happen? Chrome displays the site very well, if local or remote files are being viewed. The site is http://spareplanetdesign.com (design of clothes, NOT of Web design. Of course, I'm not qualified for web design, lol)

Many thanks if you can resolve this problem before my head explodes!

Thank you, Ben. That solved, more or less

What was going on, it was Firefox "remembers" the zoom last level used when displaying a particular url. I must have zoomed out at some point, while displaying the web url, so that FF will always display this url with zoom back. ' ' As 'Preview in browser' is a different url (a local file path), he was "known" and displays a (normal) different zoom level. "I'm a little embarrassed to do not understand that, as a first step, but I'll leave this thread cancelled, just in case anyone else has experienced this' problem '.

  • It is typical that firefox can use 339 600 K (shown on the Task Manager and seemed to work) to show an image? My entire system freezes when that happens

I was looking at pictures in an e-mail, (PDF), and firefox is running 339 600 K and froze my system. Is this typical? He just kept which passes I waited, however, the screen turned gray (with e-mail showing under) and after about 15 minutes, I decided that was pretty long and updated version of the browser (or the arrow from small circle). Then I could do it again, but it kept happening on every third image.

Hi Dena, thank you for the info. I ran the SFC scan as you recommended and the system's back as clear so I contacted "THE TECH GUYS" to curries where I bought my laptop. "They told me than the 69" stopped "I tried to delete items are actually programs etc. which begin only on request and are not automatically lit during normal startup. They also suggested as Vista requires 1 GB of memory that I am cut fine with my 1024Mo and think I would benefit from an upgrade to Windows 7 or a new laptop, the higher rating. • Windows 7 task manager and windows pages look like XP

I hope I've put this in the right category because I'm not 100% sure what category is this type of problem. Well, let's go.
A few days ago, I started my computer and instead of start up normally like any other day, it went straight to windows startup repair. That has not really happened before while it was surprising to see. Repair system takes too long to finish so I thought that he was stuck in some kind of loop. Fortunately, it worked eventually. Except, when Windows finally starts upward, the Manager of tasks, pages of windows and stuff like that looked... How can I put this... aged. What I mean is, they look like Windows XP for some reason any. I checked the settings of the Visual effects and all the normal settings have been checked, so I do not know why Windows 7 looks like XP. The first time this happened, I restarted my computer and he returned looking like Windows 7, but the next day I turned on my computer, he is back to looking like XP and now it isn't go back even when I restart the computer. I never really liked the look of XP, so you can imagine that I'm too attached to the idea that my Windows 7 computer is stuck like that. Y at - it a fix for this?

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.7 analytical URL works very well but enterprise manager and weblogic console URLs do not come upward (not accessible)

    Hello

We are on OBIEE 11.1.1.7 and as I said above the EM and Weblogic console URL doesn't work it all the time. When I get one of these two URLS in the browser and click on enter, I see the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

The BI server and presentation servers operate because analytical URL works and once I connect to it, I can use all the features on the front.

    Please suggest some workaround solutions.

    Thank you

Enterprise Manager and WLS Console run on the AdminServer, while that analytical is hosted by the managed server. Thus, it seems that your AdminServer may be down.

  • Firefox is showing twice in the Task Manager. It is launched only once.

I have reset firefox the other day and this is what seems to have started. I checked for viruses and malware, but my computer is clean. More computer stays under, more the two processes seem to get.

Hi Greg181, firefox has begun to move toward an architecture multiprocessue recently - separating web content browser, so it is normal that you see several process firefox.exe running. https://blog.Mozilla.org/futurereleases/2016/08/02/whats-next-for-multi-process-Firefox/

  • Shows of 64bits 21.0 Firefox Windows 8 sometimes suspended in the Task Manager

I have a laptop of 64-bit windows with Firefox 21.0 8. In the night I turn my computer off (not restart), I have fastboot or anything and when I login I run firefox and nothing happens. I can open Task Manager and find firefox and it says that it is using 178 k or an infinitely small number of memory, then state instead of saying 'running', he said 'suspended '.
I then finish that firefox and start a new one, and it works fine.
Why it does not the first time that I start it well?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    What can be the problem?

    Hey Malki,

He run a background process and they need the CPU usage that of normal. Antivirus is running in the background like other tools as well. As far as I know after the installation of recovery the defragmentation tool runs also in the background.

Interesting to know is what problem you have. I mean usually the CPU usage is not important if you can do everything and computer works correctly.

    1. open the Control Panel
    2. click on change or other input methods keyboard
3 click the Formats tab on top
    4. click on Customize Formats settings / extra
    5. click on reset
    6. click apply then OK

Now after restarting try to open the Task Manager and see if helped. This reset solved the same problem for me.
