VBAI - image acquisition misframe problem

Hello

I have a smart camera, NI C. 1776 when I tried to acquire the image, after 4 or 5 images, it ejects a weird picture half misframe. This will not suitable for imaging my self.

I've attached a normal picture and a peak misframed to let the guys have a better version of this problem.

Could someone help me on this?

So thank you and I liked it.

Normal image

misframe photo

You set the "Flip Horizontal" or "Vertical Flip" setting? What happens if you set it to the size of the image complete? If none of these made a difference, let us know how it works after the upgrade.

Has confirmed that the video output shows the same image?

I'll check with our support team, if they have heard of this before.

Thank you

Brad

  • Blocks the execution of the user Image Acquisition interface

I am currently trying to create a user interface that displays images from a camera attached to a microscope with a mobile table.  The user is able to interact with the images and can click on them, which causes the table to move to a new location.  Acquisition is made by calling a DLL, the DLL grey flycapture point camera, using a call library function node.

When I acquire images at 15 frames per second, it has no problem with user input.  However, when I drop the acquisition at 2 frames / second (necessary if you need to have the exposure time), labview seems to take a break from the user interface while the image acquisition is underway.  Interaction of the UI seems possible in the holes between the image acquisitions.

I'm sure that this is happening because there is a kind of blocking going on here.  The program is waiting for the new image to be returned and will not not something else happen while he waits.  I have image acquisition running in a separate, called function from a higher level, VI, which puts the image data in a global variable (I know I know... global variables).  When I need to display the image, I read of the global variable and display it on my form of user interface.

I think I need to run things in separate threads to avoid the problems that I have because I have a dependency that is the cause of blocking.  I'm looking for any suggestions on how I can the architect this.  I have thought about using a VI server to launch the acquisition of the camera and will try to implement this, but I wonder if there is another method that I'm missing here.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  I use LabVIEW 8.6 on a Windows 7 machine indeed.  I do not use LabVIEW image acquisition module.

    Thank you

    Hey Gerry,.

It's Paul in Ministry here at National Instruments engineering applications. What Paul was referring to a call library function node configuration properties. If you right-click on the node library function call you can click on configure and you should see a window that looks like the image below.

As you can see, you have the option to select run this library in the UI thread or any thread. This is important because there is only a single user interface thread. Therefore, deadlocks can occur when the code is written in parallel, but operations are both occurring in the UI thread. What results is a part of the code has to wait that the other part at the end and so the lock upwards in the user interface. The reason why the call library function node is set to run in the default UI thread is now, because only the security thread functions can be performed in any thread. So before you change this configuration it is strongly recommended that you check that the functions you call are thread-safe. You can also check which configuration, the node library function call is in the color of the node itself. If it is an orange color which means that it is set to run in the UI thread. If it is a pale yellow color, it is set to run in any thread. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Vision image acquisition

I have image acquisition via a USB camera to a 12 speed.  The problem I have is to save these images.  If I save these images while acquiring data, the program cannot keep up at this rate.  I need a way to get images to 120 and then save them once the acquisition completed.  I tried to build a table, but it doesn't seem to work (the issue is when I have the array index, I do not get out images).  Any suggestions on this approach or maybe a different approach to achieve this.

    Thank you.

    Hey, gene,

Guess IMAQ Vision + IMAQ USB was used.

The typical error is grouping table of images IMAQ. Do not forget, that the IMAQ image passed as reference, not the image itself. This means, the following code will not work as you expect:

What you need is the following. You must create your buffers before acquisition, then acquire each image in the own buffer:

    It will be useful,

    Andrey.

  • Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is not listed in Services.msc

I bought a new printer (HP Envy 4502) and it connected wireless to my PC. It prints and copies fine but when I try to scan (the printer and PC), nothing happens - message on printer says "computer does not.

I tried with my firewall off and still nothing. (Use Bullguard security, windows firewall is disabled).

After some research more advice is to check if Windows Image Acquisition is on, but when I look in the list of services there is no Windows Image Acquisition - in alphabetical order, he jumps 'Police Windows Cache Service' to 'Windows Installer' (accessible via the command Services.msc)

I also tried to run sfc/scannow, but who doesn't.

    CHKDSK found no errors.

I tried to download "Windows_Image_Acquisition.reg" and "RestoreWindowsImageAcquisitionWIAWindows7.bat" without success.

What can I do to return WIA?

How can I check what are the other missing services?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hello Jeff,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

'Windows Image Acquisition' service provides image acquisition services for scanners and cameras.

This problem may occur because of damaged or missing Windows files. This can also occur due to incorrect registry settings.

Please refer to the suggestions marked as answer by Dale Qiao on June 16, 2010 and check if it helps.

Note: Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. If you got the same error when you mosaic on the actual image, maybe not problem of mosaic. Please try the following on your development database and let us know if it solves the problem:

    sqlplus sys as sysdba
SQL > alter session set current_schema = mdsys.
    SQL > @${ORACLE_HOME}/md/admin/prvtgr.plb

  • problem image acquisition

    Hello

I try to read my camera webcam images

I install the visision software machine

but this problem appear which lies in the acquisition of the vision

No inilization apeaer menu after add it on the front

I click on it but nothing happens

    Oh God, what is this

    Hi Mangood,

I took some screenshots of the process step by step to configure the Vision Acquisition Express VI.

When you first place the Vision Acquisition Express VI on your drawing, LabVIEW should pause for a moment and bring up a message saying 'initializing Vision Acquisition '.... »

After that, the configuration for the express VI window opens, and you can select your camera. In addition, you can use the Snap and Grab (circled above) as an example of the selected camera image. When you have selected your camera, you can then hit the next button.

On the next screen of the configuration window, you will be able to select what kind of acquisition and processing in your program. This will depend on your application, so read on options and choose any what works for you, and then click Next.

On the next screen of the configuration window, you have the options to change the various attributes of the camera and the acquisition. This is all dependent on your camera and your request, so you can adjust these according to the needs. The default values are often very well without any adjustment.

The last screen of the configuration window allows you to specify the inputs and outputs of the express VI. Depending on the options you chose, you can have more options for inputs and outputs, but the most important of them is the required output 'exit from the Image. It's the indicator that allows to display the image that you have acquired. Once you are happy with the inputs and outputs, you can click the Finish button.

Once you press the finish, LabVIEW will once again take a break and spend some time configuring the Vision Acquisition Express VI with the settings you specified. After it's done, you should be presented with a diagram like the one below:

    I hope this helps!

  • VBAI 2011 dotnetAPI memory problem

    Hello

I'm using VBAI2011 and you want to show the Image of the Inspection in dotnet.

I found an example in the "Vision Builder AI 2011\API Examples\dotNET Examples\" it works for me, but I have a problem with the memory usage more.

You can reproduce the effect simply on the basis of the example and open one of the Inspections VBAI example, whenever you press the button check the used memory space develops until it is left no free memory.

I tried to run the garbage collection manually dotnet with GC.collect () but it only frees the working set memory, the private by the dotnet application bytes reservd continues to grow.

I'm using VS2008 on Windows XP 32-bit, can be that someone had the same problem and have a solution for me.

    Thanks in advance!

    HW

Thanks for the information. I will consider this. In the meantime, it looks like to add:

    If (image! = null)

    image. Dispose();

just before the call to GetInspectionImage fixes memory leak.

    Hope this helps,
