Very long until the computer connects to the internet

I've read other posts on a similar topic, but don't know what to do next.  My computer takes more than two minutes to connect to internet while booting.  Initially, he shows little blue circle spinning then goes to a red x, then back to circle, then a yellow warning symbol and finally the locks on at any given time.  No internet program will work as long as it happens.  Browsers do not show any internet connection.

Here's what I did:

Started in safe mode with network and had the same results.

Went to msconfig and not had MS services working, erased everything and without startup programs and had the same results.

I went to sfc/scannow, ran three times with the same results, it finds corrupted files, but was not able to fix some of them.

I also have a laptop and it connects both wireless and Ethernet almost instantly.

I rebooted and started the windows task manager and monitor CPU activity, it only showed the system idle process and a high percentage.

Any help appreciated.  THX

Thank you.  It is home made.  I built it a year or two ago.  Since the announcement, I went to Intel and found an updated driver for the network controller.  I installed and it seems to be for speeding a few things.  Too early to declare victory.

Now on the repair you mentioned.  I had tried to do exactly that, a day or two ago and it went downhill from there.  First of all repair stuck.  After a few hours, I reset computer and came back to the bootable status.  Whenever I tried to fix it, there seems not to be thru.  Not sure if I should try again or leave it alone for now.

  • After installing the updates I can no longer access the internet.

Lan/isp connections still work and I do not have access to electronic mail. It's just the internet connection. When I do a system restore, the internet connection works again. This problem occurred the first day of the updated version (14 I think). I tried to install twice since then, and both times the same thing happened.

It is a system at home and I am running Windows Vista on my desktop. Cox cable is my ISP. I also have a cisco wireless router, a laptop running windows 7 and a network printer. The computer laptop and printer still function well after the update. Only, I lose the internet connection on the desktop?

  • Geocoding takes VERY long for the first call in each session

    Hello

We are moving to a system of very short response time where the user sends a query via mobile phone to our based Oracle server and the response THAT SMS must return a list of points of interest at a certain distance from the mobile phone.

Previously we were using Oracle 9i, now we went to 10g (EE 10.2.0.4.0). Given that 10g supports geocoding out of the box, we intend to use it. What we are experiencing, this is when we create a new session, and then the first geocoding/reverse_geocode call takes about 1 minute in our test environment (that means 100% CPU load on the side of Oracle Server), the following calls are in the [http://0.1.. 0.6] second intervals. We only use sdo_gcdr.reverse_geocode () and sdo_gcdr.geocode () procedures.

In a space book, we found:
+ "Note: the first call to a function of geolocation in a session requires several time (is longer) than subsequent calls." +
"+ Is because the function must load and analyze arrays of profile". +

Profile of tables do not change, why is he not analyzed at the start of the RDBMS and only once, not for each session?

    Is there a solution?

The patch that I suggest is precisely to allow the geocoder to work effectively in many countries. Its effect is to only load the profile for the country being geocoded. If profiles are loaded progressively as needed, avoiding the High overload at the beginning. With this patch, the first geocode a meeting is second.

The time you specify (a minute for the first geocoded in a session) clearly indicate a problem. If this problem is not with bad indexes on the table of the region, you can check the box caching (CACHED_ADMIN_AREA_LEVEL in GC_COUNTRY_PROFILE should be 0).

I think yiou need to capture a complete SQL trace of this first geocoded, so we can diagnose accurately what is happening.

  • How long until the request of my podcast?

I have applied my podcast for December 22, 2015, received the confirmation email, but have not yet been approved. How can I track and check the status? Of what I've read it should not delay this. The feed URL is http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:153802921 / sounds.rss

There is no fixed time - two weeks is pretty typical, but it may be longer, it depends on how busy they are.

However, your feed is likely to be rejected. When you enter the URL of your media file in a browser, it downloads rather than play in the browser as it should. This means that although he works in the iTunes application, the store can not play within its own page.

You must configure each file does not download. eiznem has posted the process:

You should solve the problem as soon as possible hoping to do it before they come round to the check.

  • New installation of Windows 7 translates speeds very slow of the internet. Works in safe mode.

    3 weeks ago, I installed windows 7.

For some reason, internet is super slow. I noticed right away because the download of the updates took forever. I thought it was because I need to install the NIC drivers, so I only have the first. It didn't fix it. Then, I searched and tried everything I could find online. The only thing that did work was that if I boot mode safe mode with network speed is very well .

When I discovered that, in safe mode, everything was fine, that I started to disable any service that relates to networking. (As the Base and support Ip filtering engine, etc) This does not solve it so I decided to try the oppisite I started in safe mode with network and then loaded to the top of msconfig and any service that was not running in safe mode, I turned off. Thinking that I start one by one and find out what service was slowing downloads. When I booted in normal mode, the download speeds were still broken.

So I continued then to disable services, I disabled all services which have to do with networking, and to enable windows.  (Things like the service that launches programs. Yes, any program that has not been opened I could not open.) Accordingly, I have concluded that it was not all services.

This is a new installation, so I only installed firefox and flash. (no flash for the speed test) no anti-virus, etc.

Here are a few screens of speed trials. These are actually kind of funny because the download is so fast that downloads.

It is in safe mode with network speed. http://imgur.com/7VJvt

It's the speedtest in normal mode, http://imgur.com/dDp5B

    So here's what I tried.

    • disabled auto-tuning
    • disabled IPv6
    • turned off homegroup
    • reinstalled drivers
    • drivers uninstalled (for default windows drivers)
    • Install different drivers (installed a game on the asus site) and the other on the nvidia site
    • disabled many services to many-on-list really out.
    • disabled Windows defender and windows firewall.
    • I bought new RAM with the win7 update so I tested to see if the RAM was bad. I ran Memtest86 + and it failed. So I took the new RAM and he run and all past. Still doesn't solve it.
    • I reinstalled.
    • I installed another network card.
    • I installed another version of Win 7. (Installed Win7 professional first and after Win7 Ultimate)
    • reinstalled the drivers again.
    • Disable all of the services.
    • A run anti-virus programs. To make sure that there are no viruses. There are not.
    • I connected directly to my router.
    • All the latest windows updates installed.
    • Checked online to see if my hardware is compatible with Win7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=ASUS%20P5N-D%20ATX%20-%20nForce%20750i%20SLI%20Motherboard&v=ASUS&uid=P5N-D%20BULK&l=en-US&pf=0&pi=0&s=P5N-D&os=64-bit
    • Made sure my router had the latest version of the firmware. There not then I upgraded to V1.9 and it has not solved the problem.

Here is some information on my hardware.

So I pray that you guys can help me with this. I have no idea what to do next. Help, please.

    Thank you.

    FIXED!

So I gave up and gave my computer to my friend at home and take a look. He brought me.

What did do? He went out and bought a new network card. I guess that despite the windows NETWORK card drivers 7 I installed windows for some reason any dislikes the network card. (NVidia nForce 10/100/1000 Mbit / s) It is built in the nice for the card mother P5N - D.

The funny thing is that 3 1/2 weeks, when I had the problem. I asked him what he thought and he said to go out and buy a new network card. When I hesitated to do so, he said he would buy the NIC if it did not work.

In any case, I hope this helps someone maybe who has the same problem, I did.

  • Internet connection is unreliable - when a wireless computer connects to the network, all other stands and the router needs to be reset

I have a home wireless network with a new router Belkin (no separate modem). There are four laptop computers in our House, which connect to the wireless network. One of them is Windows 7, both Vista and the other is XP.

Sometimes the internet works perfectly well and all four laptop computers are able to connect simultaneously. But more often... when a new laptop is on and attempts to connect, all current laptops get kicked out of the network all together and are unable to reconnect. The network broadcasts always and appears in the list of available networks, but we are unable to connect.

Other times, if my roommate is very well on the internet and I turn on my laptop, I can't see even the network, despite the fact that it is to use! If I turn the router off and on again (sometimes we do this several times) it works OK again.

Sometimes this happens several times a day, other times we go days without having to reset. The problems are more frequent when the old Vista laptop is used which is what made me think it may be related to computers (or their settings) rather than the router.

    Thank you

    Alex

You may need to check every laptop and the router, to be sure.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your Belkin router > make sure you have the latest Firmware for it.

  • Internet security problem - I got a security alert was attacking my computer or filtered in and I could not access the internet

Yes, all of a sudden, I got a security alert was attacking my computer or filtered in and I could not access Internet, I advocate for window / malware scanning and also, mcafee for extra security, but it happens still., why? Then a few days later, I was able to get on the internet again, only about 2 days, now I can no longer access the internet, Iget, open with file, message, so I guess I have to reinstall internet explore, some of my applications are not running, but I think that their always there.  I have scan Windows / Defender and mcafee installed and running on my computer, so what's the problem here?

    Hello

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet - DNS error - Windows 7

    Hello

I have a new (3 months) desktop XPS from Dell with Windows 7 (64-bit), the Motorola SBG6580 Wireless Modem/Gateway and Comcast is my ISP.

My computer is connected to a modem with an Ethernet cable. Nothing unusual in the installation program. I just plugged my PC and it worked.

In the last three months everything worked well. Then all of a sudden, from Friday last I can no longer access the internet.

The connection at the bottom right shows that I'm connected, and every few minutes a yellow exclamation icon above him. Some sites Web opens very, very slowly, some are open to all and another just give a straight error that I'm not connected. It's weird - I can connect to the first seconds when I restart the computer and the speed is extremely fast, and then all of a sudden I can't connect.

When I right click on the connection icon for helps out sometimes it says "The DNS does not" and sometimes he can't detect any problem (but I can still access all Web sites).

Now, I also connected with Ethernet cables to the modem game both consoles and they work very well - I can get online, play games, stream movies etc. My wife and I can also connect our iPhones over Wi - Fi, and I can also connect my laptop running Vista by Wi - Fi.

The problem is just the Windows 7 PC.

I already googled the problem and tried all the solutions offered - I rinsed and renewed the DNS using the commands ipconfig, I put the DNS manually but nothing seems to work!

Could this be a virus any? I have McAfee running and I did a scan, but it does not detect. My feeling is that there is a virus which changes the DNS.

Any suggestion on how I can confirm to you, or what other measures can I take?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Perform the steps mentioned below and check if the problem persists.

d:  Select Internet Version 6 protocol, and then click Properties.
e: choose DNS servers obtain address automatically, then press Ok.
f: choose address automatically get IP.
g: repeat the steps for Internet Protocol version 4 as well.

    Hope that helps.
  • I bought a photosmart 5510 and I'm unable to connect to the internet.

Hi, I am looking to connect my newly purchased Photosmart 5510 to the internet. I can see that it is connected to the homenetwork, but not the Internet, so I can't use the e-Print. I have a router D - Link DIR-635 B3 without the WPS button (maybe built in). I can't locate any relevant support.

Logically, I can see that I can't proceed until the Internet recognizes the connection.

All good ideas what the problem could be,

    '

    Jesper, Copenhagen

Looks like some of the parameters of the network to the printer is maybe not correct or the ISP DNS servers may have been a problem for ePrint servers.

Try to set an IP static, as shown in step 6 of this document from HP.  The only change I recommend is what DNS servers are used.  Use auxiliary favorite for DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for DNS.  These are Google's public DNS servers, but they tend to work very well with ePrint connection problems.

Also, make sure that the proxy settings are blank and not controlled.  This is possible access SAP, as indicated in the document, and then go to network > Networking > Proxy Server.  If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that allows you to continue anyway.

Once the static IP address with Google's DNS servers are defined and the proxy is disabled, try to re-enable web services.

    Let me know what happens.

  • NB100 - new user. Unable to connect to the internet via a wireless connection

    * What can someone help please.*

    I bought a NB100 (Ubuntu) yesterday.
He walks and he finds our Wi - Fi connection and got to the web. Large.

I then ran "Update Manager" and since then I can not get internet connection.
In 'Network settings' it shows only "Wired" & "Point to point" as the connection types.

Also when I now click on 'Firefox Web Browser', 'Update Manager', 'Pilot' or 'Add Remove Programs' the equivalent circular hourglass appears for a few seconds, then disappears. The application does not start.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

I was trying to install the Norton Internet Security 2011 and it took about three hours to remove the old one and it never installed a new. And after that, I tried to go on the internet and he claims that the msn.exec shortcut is not available and I had to go to search for, but I had no luck. My MSN, Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, and many other software (ie iTunes, Zune) who all worked before putting the disk of Norton, is no longer work. My daughter portable computer works very well, and the internet connection is still strong. I called Microsoft and they said that it has something to do with the IP address, it is a mistake. Someone knows how to fix this? Greatly appreciated, thanks!
