  Click Start > settings > Control Panel > system.

  Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

  Expand display adapters.

  Choose VMWARE SVGA II. Right-click on it and choose Properties.

  Click the driver tab. You are presented with the SVGA driver properties.

  The version is 11.6.0.34 (Driver Date 03/01/2010).

  Click on update driver. The Hardware Update Wizard displays.

  When you are asked the question, "Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?", click on no, not at this time and click Next.

  When you are prompted with the question, "want you want the wizard to do", click on install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next.

  Click on do not search. I will choose the driver to install and click Next.

  On the next screen, you are presented a list of two or more VMWARE SVGA II Versions to choice. For example:

  The VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.31 (21/09/2009)

  The VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.32 (24/09/2009)

  The VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.34 (03/01/2010)

  Choose a version older than VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.34 (03/01/2010).

  In this example, you could choose either VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.31 (21/09/2009) or VMWARE SVGA II Version: 11.6.0.32 (24/09/2009).

  Click Next. The driver begins to install.

  When Windows notifies you that VMware SVGA II has failed the Windows logo test, click on continue.

  The driver installation is complete.

  Click Finish.

  Click YES when you are prompted to restart your computer.

  Verify that PCoIP now works.

  You MUST have a client of VMware view. Then you can connect through it to view desktop using PCoIP or RDP Protocol.

  You will be able to connect to the desktop using RDP display if your thin client is located in the same subnet (and if RDP is enabled on the desktop to view server and you know its ip address) but would not use vmware view (if you want to connect directly to your desktop from RDP Why would you need to notice), which would also directly access to a machine as you access all the other Windows VM.

  And its always advisable to disable direct RDP on view desktops.

• Event Viewer displays customized with source Wininit

  Hello Microsoft experts.

  After trying to create a view custom in the event viewer, one with the 'Wininit' source, in order to capture all the events, I noticed that even though the view is created successfully, it brings no results (i.e. empty) (Windows 7 64 bit with SP1 operating system). Think that the application log is not registration events Wininit, I tried to add a custom filter in the category 'Application' of events with the source "Wininit. The latter brings multiple results (mainly information and one caveat, I think)). If the events with the "Wininit" source are recorded in the category 'Application '.
  How do you think should I proceed in the future, in order to troubleshoot further? I checked the filesystem with sfc/scannow nothing helps. Also I discovered that when I change the view custom to another source, for example 'Winlogon', the results appear under the view, with the selected source - 'Winlogon' now, to make it work as it should.
  Finally and most importantly, I navigated to my registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Wininit) and saw the differences between the two (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Wininit, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Winlogon) without any ideas on how to proceed.
  I assumed that it could be a matter of rights. So, I checked the security under the branches of two registry settings, and they are the same.
  Now I'm out of ideas, and internet research helps not at all.
  Please indicate something, because reinstalling Windows is not an option. Also, I checked this custom view (with source Wininit) in Windows 7 PCs of others (friends), and it works perfectly. What is the possible problem in my case?

• Type of view track customer?

  I'm looking to start collecting usage statistics in our view... environment in particular, I am interested what kind of client a user uses to connect to a virtual desktop.  We have a number of PCoIP thin clients set up in the library in our University, and I want to be able to see how many logons occurred on these devices rather than to use how the view Client for Windows, iPad, Mac, etc.  I know that the database of the event following the assignments of connections and desktop, but is possible to collect this type of customer data?

  I would also eventually be able to track this PCoIP device a user performed during a session of some... this type of data often comes in handy when you're trying to solve customer problems and could help us to determine which areas of our facilities are used by most of the students.

• Which is better: view or custom folder

  Hi all
  I work in Discoverer 10 g 2 and 10 gr 2 Oracle database.
  I developed a few business sectors and handed over to the company and the system works well.
  Now business wants a link or a feature that requires to connect 5 existing folders and this link will appear on the screen 7 items these records.
  As it is a complex join, I think to provide a custom folder with all elements of reaquired (which exist in those folders) in the tables that connects all these tables in a view.
  There are two ways to do:
  One, create a view in the database and map a simple folder to it.
  Two, create a cutom folder with the same query.
  I was wondering if a method is preferable on other maintenace point of view or any other consideration.
  There are no restrictions in our society to create new views. If I create a view, I grant all users the right to select on that. In the custom folder I need not to worry about privileges.
  I was reading another thread last: migrate folders customized views of the database which, in my view, that view is a better option.

  Hello

  If you are able to create views this option is always better for complex joins. Dependencies are managed in the database and complex queries are stored in the database to which they belong.

  You don't need to select all your users privileges, because you should use database roles. You just need to grant the role of discoverer database selection.

• Custom refresh device channels instead of remove device

  One of the great pains that I have met is when you change i/o on a custom device, you must remove and re-add the device custom Veristand project for new channels in the project. This destroys all the channels linking and creates pain when changing custom devices of County canal.

  I've created a good work around. I have create a VI that sweeps the current channels in the Veristand project against the list of channels in the compiled custom device. I then delete the items that don't belong, and add channels that do not exist. The net result is that only the channels that have been deleted to create bad links (obviously) and all the old links remain intact.

  I then create a menu right click on the home page of the personal device that runs the VI I created.

  The end result is a function that works just like the button "Refresh" on a model.

• 12.2.4 WebADI - Integrator custom fails to cleanup script is triggered when the import returns the error lines

  Hi, hoping for help because it is not very useful detailed documentation on this topic here.

  I built a custom WebADI that uses custom procedures to validate and download the date in a custom table.  I then called an importer script that checks the balance of files (and other things) and mark the lines that do not reach a State of error.  I also managed to get these errors to be selected by the definition of error line and message error search section and everything is right with the world.

  Except that when imported and reports to hide the sad faces appear in the worksheet, I expect the cleanup script then learn to delete the records so that when the errors are corrected in the spreadsheet we don't get the lines in double... and is not.  No amount of tweaking, etc. application errors will result in cleaning the fire.

  Can someone tell me what I need to import of PL/SQL program to do when it detects a mistake for execution of the cleaning procedure?

  IT FIXED myself.

  The downloaded must be a function and return an error message of VARCHAR2.  If you return NULL - then the cleaning is not called as expected. If you return to any string, then cleanup is called.

  I have a few custom fonts which are not displayed in my display application. I downloaded both WOFF and TTF via the AEMM interface versions. They appear in the font selection list and appear in the construction area of page/card layout perfectly.   Background: I was instructed to create a VMware View isolated laboratory test so that HIGHER-UPS can see how they could access the VM dedicated as well as how their developers could put related clones on-the-fly. The project was successful! Yay!

  Addendum: A boss wants to see how VMware View works when accessing his computer virtual dedicated via his iPad on the internet... And who needs a secure SSL connection.

  The problem is: the domain name I chose casually because the lab did not belong to me... So I can't have a real certificate from a trusted commercial certification authority.

  So I'll try to roll my own public Windows 2008 R2 PKI and... All that forcing the iPad to use DC/DNS server in the lab... Get only the single get iPad trust view connection server by importing a sort of certificate.

  Can I export/import a certificate of the CA of DC to the iPad via an attachment... And it happens with confidence. But how to create a login to view the server certificate and electronic-mail/import in the iPad so it happens with confidence? Whenever I try to export the certificate of the certificate of the view connection server store, send it to the iPad and install... The connection server certificate appears as 'not reliable' and the VMware View client will not connect.

  (Of course, I could get sloppy and set the iPad Client to accept untrusted connections... "But I want to solve the problem of approved connection).

  I could be missing something royally on the self-signed certificates and certificate chains.

  (It is a first for me dealing with Active Directory Windows Certificate Services. In the past, I always just installed expensive commercial SSL CA certificates in the certificates Windows Server stores before.)

  Any help or direction, you can provide would be appreciated. I'm rather confused.
