• Satellite L350 - Microsoft Word crashes after a while

  My son has a Satellite L350 working under Vista. If he tries to use Microsoft Word hangs after some time - every time.
  Really annoying when it does the job at home I have it to help OpenOffice from Google, but I want to solve the problem.

  I found several websites, which suggests a fix for this, but neither worked. Someone else had this problem? I don't think that it was limited to Word.

  The machine (or Vista) also takes forever to initialize.

  While I'm here, on another laptop I have, Firefox is sometimes closed down as soon as I opened it. When I re - opens, that's fine.

  Word belongs to the MS Office.
  Maybe you need to reinstall this together again.

• Illustrator CC crashes after a while of use.

  Hi, I just downloaded the suite yesterday and thought I would try HAVE today. I can open the program without problem. Open files, create files and work on them, then save them along the way. Then after about 10 minutes, it freezes. I can't click on anything, only the close button. I have the auto save set at all hours, so I don't think it's a matter of economics. I also don't think it's a matter of file size because if I have a blank page open and do nothing for the document, the result is the same. I'm after update to my way of thinking of graphics card that was where the problem was, but the result is always the same. My Task Manager indicates that the memory used when I am clicking on suite with illustrator is about 25%, including chromium used in the background.

  I am at a loss, I can't seem to find solutions online or other queries that seem to correspond to what is happening. Any help will be appreciated.

  There are several Chrome addons that will interfere with the AI. Alternatively, you can have software security such as Webroot or some security password that is causing problems.

• PC crashes after a while.

  Just renewed of my 4 GB RAM (8 GB total) and the PC freeze during reboot I got 5 flashing lights/beeps. I discovered that one of the RAM had to be changed on.

  I bought a new CORSAIR with the exact specification as well as the old and installed. Everything worked fine until I used the computer for 30 minutes - ish.

  All of a sudden the PC freezes. I still have the image on the screen, the mouse/keyboard/gamepads seems to lose power (connected via USB) but I also hear the hard drive stops. The only way to turn it off is to use the 5 sec on the power button push.

  I looked behind the computer to verify that the power led (green) has been turned on.

  Any ideas?

  Remove it newly installed 4 GB of RAM and stability test.

  Stable system indicates a problem with the new RAM.

  I have a problem with the GPS in my Z3 Compact - whenever I run a navigation offline, it crashes after a while of driving. I tried different applications, but it happens on Sygic Navigation and Garmin Navigation System (on a month back, I went from Garmin for Sygic, but the problem persists).

  I already tried to reinstall applications and even a software repair via PC Companion, but it did not help. Does anyone have an idea how to fix? I had no problem on the old version of Android, it started to happen that in this new version and two navigation applications.

  Maps for both applications are stored in the internal memory.

  How fast your VI reads the com port?... could he try to read too fast?... Add a waiting in your VI and see if that helps.

  I have a Toshiba l755d for a month. Everything works well except firefox, chrome and opera.
  IE8 works. At first I thought it was just firefox because I just test firefox.

  SO I wrote a thread in my own language for firefox forum. Nobody has been able to help me with this problem of accidents. Then I thought to test other browsers that eventually does not work too.

  So finally after update of everything and anything that I decided to reinstall windows so no change atm there is nothing on my hard drive but windows 7 home premium(64bit), pilots, recently extend java, flashplayer, firefox, opera and chrome.

  Short:
  -all browsers except IE8 crashes after a few minutes
  Firefox - forum couldn't help me
  -l' laptop is new
  -everything is updatet to current version

  Any ideas?

  Able to recover the laptop once more you use HD recovery or recovery disks (that you have created in the past hopefully) in order to test the browsers with the Toshiba factory settings?

  Hi guys,.

  I installed the XS708E at home for my home enterntain system. I have reaised the switch may become hot after a while. The switch is installed in an open space where it is well ventilated. I realized that the perfomance of the switch slow down with time and ends by crashes. I'll then have to turn off the switch for 15 minutes so that it can cool down and then turn it back on. I realized that I need to do it once every 2-3 weeks.

  Is this something in common?

I have the resolution of the game the same as that of windows (1366 x 768) and all other graphics options turned off. Is there something that I need of Bethesda, an update or patch?   All other websites work well. problem only in trying to gain access to www.microsoft.com

  4 and it meets the minimum requirements of the browser you are using?

  For the past 2 years my laptop works fine with the same hardware configuration. It stops working suddenly MS websites. I did not have all the hardware changes.

  trying to access the page from www.microsoft.com when rises, it is 'Impossible to view the Page.

  Tried it on IE, mozilla and chrome.

  I tried to change the size of the memory virtual and also changed to the size of the managed system.

  formatted and installed xp pro with sp3 and I also tried formatting and install from different cd with xp and sp2. It works for 3 or 4 minute MS sites and the message immedly appears low virtual memory and it stops working MS sites.

• Halo 2 crashes after the level "Gravemind".

  Halo 2 still crashes after the cutscene at the end of the level "The Gravemind".  The game acts like it's loading to the next level with the logo of Halo 2 and the vertical lighting of back and forth set.

  I had to play at this level twice, otherwise I can't get any achievement.  I'm tired of having to play at this level.

  I have a few here that might solve the problem.

  I suggest you perform the clean boot which disable the application non-Microsoft temporarily in conflict with programs. It helps us find what third-party application or service is causing the problem. Follow the steps in the link: how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: make sure to put the computer in a normal state, proceed to step 7 in the link. After you find out which application is causing the problem, please disable the program or application. If the problem persists, I suggest you to visit the site of the game Halo 2 to find if there are any updates or patches.

  I think that you're wrong in your assessment of what you have been.  "Shell Microsoft Program"?  Please explain.

  If configure you your own computer, software Windows XP firewall is enabled, have a decent router (reset and configured with a password before connecting anything to him) between your network and the Internet, and you have changed all your passwords for each account to a password that is hard (15 characters or more containing at least three of the four character types (: uppercase, lowercase, number, and symbol) and checked that each account online has a configuration password recovery method that * you * have you personally (no one else has used your password they obtained to make sure if you have already changed your password, they could get the upper hand) and you have a decent anti-virus software installed. Then you should be fine.

  Otherwise - most of it security is common sense stuff.  Do not download or run things do not know the origin of and trust said origin and application.  Do not open unknown emails and instant messages.  If you do not call to get your computer fixed, don't expect sopmeone will call you to fix your computer problem - and if they don't - know it's a scam.  Don't visit questionable websites.  Do not use the computer on a daily basis with a user account that could ruin everything (run as a normal user, not an administrator for your daily activities.)  Keep your system and you have installed - including all antivirus software - up to date/current.  Keep your computer in a locked - room physical security is a top priority.  Backup your important data to external media.  Change your password periodically - because you have a password - most probably someone can get it.  If something is * really * important keep you the 'secret' and protected - encrypt.  Almost every other method can be easily bypassed - encryption, not so much.  Etc and so on...
