Vista restore & Defrag failure more blue screen & restart issue

I have a desktop Gateway with Vista Home OS. It ran fine until 3 weeks when I started getting blue screens & system closed and then restarted. This seems to happen when the line & open a second search window. I tried to restore, but it fails on all restore points, I've tried to the 14/09/2010. I tried the defrag, but when I click it it close the window & nothing happens. I tried in safe mode but still nothing works. I took the computer to a computer Arrdvark & they said it was a video driver problem but when I got back there was immediately another blue screen & sound did not work. I brought & they disconnected a disk & deleted (deactivated) my Norton 360 program. They have installed a Malware & AVI program? freeware. Defrag & system restore do not always work.

Hello

Actually I take it back again and insist that they fix it properly.

You might be better back up the data and reinstall Windows.

Check with the drivers, documentation online and Support technique Gateway.

To fix the BSOD:

Use methods such as the SFC, CheckDisk, driver updates, and others in the resolution of the issues identified
at this link as they will help solve or at least narrow down the questions. After that you can post the
information of BlueScreenView and these other utilities, so we can offer more specific advice. Of
check with a real store of the computer or the system manufacturer's support would be a good idea though
I would try the possible solutions, you can first.

Also my restore will pass in a few days, and the box is no longer available. This "might" be a power problem, even if this isn't the most common cause - in this case

I started Windows Vista Edition Home Premium x 86 SP1.  The something Adobe has shown saying that I need to upgrade flash player.  I chose to upgrade later.  Then about 10 seconds later, I get a blue screen.  Then I see a screen to choose between 2 choices of Mode safe mode, start window normally.  I started Windows normally.  The about 10 seconds after getting on the desk, I saw the same blue screen.  Then I choose Start Windows normally.  Then, after seeing the office for about 10 seconds, I saw the same blue screen.  I took start Windows normally.  Then the same thing happened again.  This time when I got to the office, I clicked on start > Shutdown and it turns off.

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Make sure you have enough disk space.  If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.  Try changing video card.

Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.  Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.  If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe mode.

You certainly can't if you won't try. Download the ISO that you need for your version of Vista on

    it.

You can also copy any DVD of Vista (as long as it's even 32 or 64 bits) and use it to repair (but
    not install Vista).

  • VDP file level restore gives only a blue screen in the browser

We have deployed the POS device a few weeks ago and except some problems it seems to do it's job base that is place backup and restore of virtual machines. But when Itried to use the level of the customer restore file web it don't work for us. On a Server Windows 2008 R2 and a virtual Windows 7 machine saved upward by the VDP, both with the latest VM tools installed, I open a browser and point it to https://VDP_IP:8543 / flr , it shows a certificate waring that I choose to accept (using the cert standard vCenter for now) and it loads a blue screen , but nothing more, and I have no connection box. I tried to restart the POS and the virtual machine, but it still doesn't work. I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like.

We use assessment and had no assistance to open a SR.

  • XP - BLUE SCREEN & restart continually

I do not have original CD as it was preinstalled, how do I get a disc to start

You can look at to see what the problem is first and then decide what to do next.
What is your system brand and model?
What is your version of XP and the Service Pack?
If your system has either built in or attached external CD drive defective?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
Have any facing material changes were made to the system since that worked?  RAM, video card, storage (hard drives, USB devices), printers, hardware device drivers, network drivers?
Have you installed or updated any new software lately?
Did you apply the updates software new automatic could come into your system?
    Fill in the blank:
My system worked well until ___.
XP is configured to restart automatically on some failures of the system, you will need to tell XP not to restart when there is a failure in the system as well as the circumstances of the failure (usually a Blue Screen of Death, or BSOD) will remain on the screen so you can see.
The next time you restart, and just before XP starts to load, start typing the F8 button quickly and repeatedly on your keyboard until you see the advanced boot XP Options menu.
In the XP Advanced Boot Options menu, choose the option:
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure
Then you can see the BSOD.
If you don't see the advanced boot options menu, you must reset your system and get a little busier with your pressing F8 (try again earlier and faster) until you see it.
Here's a blue screen BSOD example of information showing of death you must provide:
Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).
Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.
Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know the other details that are specific to your BSOD.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

This behavior is the expected result of some hardware and software factors.

Various devices in a typical computer require memory-mapped access. This is known as memory-mapped i/o (MMIO). For the MMIO space is available for 32-bit operating systems, the MMIO space must reside in the first 4 GB of address space.

For example, if you have a video card that has 256 MB on-board memory, that memory must be mapped in the first 4 GB of address space. If 4 GB of system memory is already installed, the part of this address space must be reserved by the graphics memory mapping. Graphics memory mapping replaces part of the system memory. These conditions reduce the total amount of memory available to the OS System.

The reduction in available system memory depends on the devices that are installed in the computer. However, to avoid potential driver compatibility issues, 32-bit versions of Windows Vista limit the total available memory to 3.12 GB. See the section 'More information' for more information on potential driver compatibility issues.

If a computer has many features implemented, the available memory can be reduced to 3 GB or less. However, the maximum memory available in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista is typically 3.12 GB.

  • Windows Vista Service Pack 2: Compatible blue screens

Hello. I tried to debug my friends computer. He had regular blue screens of death. I analyzed the dump files and it turned out that he had bad memory in the first 2 crashes (it linked several times windows memory diagnostic tool and even swap ram slots). Then he replaced the memory and now the system worked well.

And then the system crashed. All of these have been "IRQL not less than ' mistakes, that I discovered by WinDBG. The klif.sys file appeared on the processor stack and was probably the culprit. The file is a driver of Kaspersky Internet Security, so I had him remove the protection completely and use a different antivirus.

The system has been formatted and it is now ok. IT crashed again, with a BAD_POOL_CALLER. The chain of error checking was C2 which indicates a bad driver or memory. Many riders appeared including the symbols cannot be loaded, even the intel IDE driver, nvidia drivers display, avast antivirus, drivers realtek audio etc. After seeing this, I had to him be updated all drivers for their current versions.

The system has been authorized for 2 days. IT crashed yesterday again. I give you the link to the minidump file, in the hope of getting members of the community solutions.

    Hi Karan1337,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) what is the number of brand and model of your computer?

Method 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the mouse and keyboard > check to see if the problem persists.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Method 2: Run the Startup Repair tool, follow the steps mentioned in the link below to access the system recovery tools.
How to access the System Recovery Options menu?

Run the tool to restart system as shown in the link below
    How to use Startup Repair?

Method 3: See the steps mentioned in the article below
How to fix BlueScreen (STOP) errors that cause Windows Vista to shut down or restart unexpectedly

You can contact the manufacturer of the computer for known problems

    Thanks and greetings

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more Blue Screen of Death

Sometimes my laptop (Vaio VPCZ2, Win 7-64) Gets a Blue Screen Of Death when my 6500 officejet is printing. This occurs when the printer is connected via usb and also wireless. I have run all the programs of diagnosis of HP and re-installed the driver and software. I guess the problem is the printer driver. What can I do to fix this?

Initially, I connected the printer to the USB 2.0 docking station. Same result; dbo. Now I connected the printer directly to the USB 2.0 laptop and the problem seems to be resolved. Thank you.

  • Vista computer is 8th error blue screen at boot

Here's the deal, I did some tests to start with all 12 combinations of ram and swapped my 2 NVIDIA 9800gt cards inside and out. I messed around with the bios and ran startup repair and reset to the factory settings. All to nothing not done, this suggests generally it's a hardware problem, BUT when I got windows to load without problem after a reset... Everything went very well, except my cdrom and dvdrom doesn't appear in Manager of devices or my computer. Optical drive is an option in the bios, I put on first boot, second start being my main, and then third hd start my secondary HD that might be a small area on my card to ram causing blue wavy lines or my power ability to support all parts of that... Sorry for the hike, I kind of put this together I typed... Any help is appreciated!

System information I know since I can't load windows:

    Dell XPS 630

    PSU: 750w
Windows Vista Edition SP1 Home Premium 32 b

    Dual GPU 9800gt

    Intel Quad core 3.2 ghz

map the Creative labs sound blaster x - fi gamer

    4 GHz memory live ddr3...

I have no disk Windows vista as it is a purchased Dell computer (love of the big company capital gain)

A few things that have happened are:
the 8th BSOD when loading windows
Last startup repair indicates all completed, Root Cause found: failure so that the Setup program is underway.

    Another precedent said bad driver...

    NO available restore points...

one thing has helped for a while and that is to detach the 3rd boot device
    * original title - artifacts on the screen a minute then go! not necessarily issue a material, which would be - this? *

Problem solved! ended up being the two GPU, I cooked in the oven for 8 minutes, which both work! Execution of The Witcher 2 one holds at 81 degrees Celsius and the other at 90-100, which is normal for the 9800gt! Thanks for your help!

  • Winodws blue screen restart error. IRQL DRIVERS NOT LESS OR EQUAL (NETIO. (SYS)

I tried many solutions, but could not fix. I'm not sure about this, but I think when I try to access the multimedia files, it happens right here.

The file that is carried out is C:\Windows\Minidump\112214-13218-01.dmp and

    C:\users\nayab\appdata\local\temp\wer-51171-0.SysData.XML

can you please suggest a solution for this because it is very annoying.

    Thank you.

    NM

Before you do anything else, you need to update to win 8.1.  In itself, that can solve this problem.

    If this is not

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.
1-Driver Verifier (for full instructions, see our wiki here)

If the auditor does not have the issue we move to it.

2-Memtest. (You can learn more about running memtest here)

If you cannot start after you have enabled the auditor reboot in safe mode
