  • Can not record songs on a Sansa Clip +.

I recently bought the Sansa Clip + and it has firmware version V01.01.05F and the song rate feature doesn't seem to work. I choose 1-5 stars and select the choice, but the note is not saved. Another poster asked a similar question and its solution involved affecting USB MTP mode, but this has not worked for me. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

OK I thought about it, the new firmware fixed this problem for me.

  • Sansa Clip 4 GB Silver - Volume? Disappear!

    Hi all

I would like to share with you my problem with my Sansa Clip (purchased 1.5 years ago) wonderful...

Given that I have installed the latest firmware (two weeks ago more or less) I noticed that the Volume menu is missing it is disappear!

I'm in Europe, and right now my Sansa manual becomes almost unnecessary due to the change of firmware...

Anyone know how to adjust the volume higher and hence? get up to the maximum level is so low... I have regular headphones (with no sound limit)...

is possible that sansa must follow the European rules on the decibel limit? If it is, I do not agree because I think is the TSA who should choose how to listen to music.

Hope that this message could be useful also for other European customers

    1. on your Clip, press the button (the small button on the face of the clamp) home.

    2. go to the bottom and select settings.

    3. under settings, go down and select Reset all.

    4. When prompted, choose North America or the rest of the world for your region.

This, then, gives you an option of high volume under the option of adjusting the Volume under settings.  Go to and select it.

  • Sansa Clip + not recognized by the Audi music interface

    Hello

I'm trying to connect my Sansa Clip to my music interface of cars (Audi A4, model 2010). My Sansa Clip says that he has plugged in and the battery starts to load, but my music interface of cars does not recognize the mp3 device. Anyone have any idea what can be the problem?

The Audi music interface manual says that there is a limitation in mp3 with "USB Device subclass 1, 2 and 6'.» What may be the problem, that "subclass" Sansa Clip + have they?

Thanks for your reply and your quick response!  Your answer solved my initial problem. Now the music interface of the car recognize my Sansa Clip, but now the problem is that it cannot find the files that can be read. I noticed the same 'phenomena' trying to find music via my computer files, when having put MSC is not possible to see all the files. I have .wma and .mp3 files both on the Sansa Clip.

Is there a way to solve this problem as well?

Your computer cannot see or access the files that have been transferred to MTP mode when you are connected to the MSC and vice versa. It may be a similar situation with the stereo system in your care. You may need to remove all the files (build formattiing be the fastest way to do) and re - transfer to your player in MSC mode.

  • Sansa Clip does not pass the stage of audio books

    Dear all,

We have the problem that our Sansa Clip will not skip chapters of audiobooks. If you hold the buttons, fast towards the front/rewinds, but if you just click on it once, nothing happens. It is only in the audio books and Podcasts, but not in music.

However, we have already owned a Sansa Clip 8 GB, which worked very well. Then we bought a second one (also 8GB) with the problem described. The strange thing: the same audio books work very well on the other Sansa Clip (same firmware version). Also strange: jump works with music files, so it may not be a hardware failure. However, we discovered this last don't bit recently, we already have it back and got another Sansa Clip 8 GB (third). Yet once again, jump does not work. I am suspecting that something with the files is wrong, but I'm intrigued by the fact that they work very well on our first Clip. They all have the same age, our first clip is just a couple of weeks and they all came from the same supplier (Amazon), so I guess it's the same batch.

    The clues someone?

    Thank you very much
    André

I think that you have access to the setting if you press the button in the 6 oclock position while playing an audio book. I think that there is a choice of menu for the settings of the audio book or chapter. I don't have the video right in front of me now, so I'm not sure about this.

  • Sansa Clip + problems, correct the records but unknown marking and scrambled the tracks. Help!

    Hi guys,.

There can someone please offer some advice for me and my husband before we became completely crazy?

We bought for our daughter the Sansa Clip +, but we are having the same problem occur over and over again.

During his music and audio books have first been loaded above all was fine. Added items displayed in the files and the right places but, now, for some reason when we add anything, the record of the album can be seen, but it also creates an additional folder that displayed as "Unknown". When you go and try to play inside this folder it does not work... "We always ensure that there is proper use of marking we MP" tag, so I know that the questions are not because of it.

We have tried everything we can think of. Tried to update but I think we already have the latest version installed in any case - V01.02.18P, performed a factory reset, put in shape and I have tried using different modes, but it makes no sense. Why everything fine was a couple of days and not now...

We use a 16 GB Kingston SDHC Card inside the Clip +.

Please any ideas would be welcome because it becomes a nightmare.

    Thanks Claire x

I should add that I am starting to think that I can have bought a card SD of FAKE writing is rubbing on the front of the card... IS this likely and if so could cause of the issues I am currently experiencing? XX

  • Clip: Problem voice recording

V02.01.32F (going 35 last now, but not sure it would solve my problem because I was once an older clip v1 without problem of voice recording)

    Problem:

Stop recording and the Player stops in the middle of recording.

  • I'm having a problem strange sync my 4 GB Sansa Clip + with Winamp

    Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    MTP mode

    MicroSDHC 32GB

Windows 7 64 - bit Winamp (no additional plugins)

I recently bought a new 4 GB Sansa Clip + with a 32 GB MicroSD card. Using Winamp, I synced my library on the SD card. Everything went as not expected, no problems to report, I could play all the songs perfectly.

But now, whenever I try to sync the SD card in the player, Winamp does not appear to recognize the files he had previously synced. A window tells me that there are X number of songs on the Sansa Clip + who are not in the library and encourage me to remove them, let them, or cancel. (photo of the box below)

Basically, Winamp tells me again and again to remove and re - sync a load of songs that are already on the player, which is extremely long and tedious, when all I want is to synchronize an album or two. This happens even if I plug the appliance, let it cool off, and then plug it back to synchronize again.

If anyone has had this same problem and would be willing to share the solution, me a huge favor. Thank you.

Nevermind, I figured it. It turns out that the solution was to set the USB MSC instead of MTP mode. Who would have thought?

    Thanks for any help.

  • Sansa Clip not recognized by computer - new problem

All of a sudden my Sansa Clip is not recognized by my computer. I use MSC forced for a year and have seen the page referred by others with this problem. Nothing seems to work. Download the new firmware will it correct even if the device is not recognized? How the new firmware can be installed on the device?

At present the Clip plays already charged music, but I can add more.

    Suggestions? Thank you.

    JEMcQ wrote:
OK - I'm a model. I used a charging cable not provided by Sansa. This is why the computer was not recognizing the Clip. However, is there a way to NOT use forced MSC to connect? I use it since I updated the firmware to the last spring and my thumb is painful.

Your firmware has USB mode in the settings? If so, switch to MSC there... problem solved!

  • Problems of sound quality with my Sansa Clip and Rhapsody subscription titles

I'm at my wits end here. This last Christmas, I bought a black 4 GB Sansa Clip for me. About two weeks after I bought it, I got a low-memory error to create a database. I've reformatted the drive, transferred songs and everything worked fine... for a week. Then I got the same error message that he died completely. As in it would not turn on at all, even connected to my PC.

I brought instead buy one leave and received a replacement. Now it will not play long pieces of subscription Rhapsody without a slight distortion starting about 13-14 minutes in and continuing to the end of the track.

I did not have this problem with the first Clip.

I don't have this problem with securities that I torn and transferred.

I don't have this problem with my c250.

I have this problem with my 4 GB Clip son cash. However in addition to the simple to burst I get with my Clip, the music also sounds distorted, with large legs on her.

I already have the routine of songs and dances for Rhapsody. I have also updated the firmware of these two Clips Sansa to v02.01.32a, tried to transfer using two different USB cables and several USB ports on my computer. The only thing I have not done is reformat the thing. After having to transfer 600 + tracks 3 times in two months, I am rather hesitant in doing so.

Anyone, please, help me solve this problem?

Ah, we'll add some gloss of your clusters.

The your Clip file allocation table a wee 4 KB clusters.  Since you have a 4 GB device, this FAT is big enough.

Decoding of the Rhapsody tracks requires some supercomputers, being secure to 160 Kbps wma files.  The Clip is responsible for finding the next block of data, but it must focus on this huge FAT.

    The solution is simple!

Turn on your trusty Clip.  Go to settings > Format > Yes.  This reformatted the device with 32 KB clusters, optimized for the Sansa.

Please note that this will delete all existing music to your Sansa, and you will need to reload.

On the other side of the coin, you will hear now own sounding music!

If you format from Windows, it has the bad habit of formatting with teeny 4 KB clusters - and stuttering that results will make you crazy.  If you format Windows, ALWAYS follow-up with a format on the device via the parameters.

  • Sansa clip does not play flac frimware is 1.1.30f1 how to solve this problem

    Hi all

Sansa clip does not play flac frimware is 1.1.30f1 how to solve this problem

I need software to convert mp3 to flac, please guide me because I want to test flac on sansa clip

    Thank you

He plays very well FLAC.  There is probably a problem with your files.  They are not coded correctly, or you use the ID3 tags.  The Clip only supports normal Vobis comment tags to FLAC / Ogg.  Mp3Tag should be able to fix your labels if that's the problem.

In addition, there is no reason to convert MP3 to FLAC.  It will sound the same as the MP3, but you will have much larger files.  If you want to get the advantage of FLAC (or any lossless format) you will need to rerip your CDs.

  • Help! My Sansa Clip + is no longer recognized by my PC when connected by USB port!

Reading, the latter time, ' said, 'written' only when connected. Normally, he alternates between the 'Reading' and 'Writing' when it is connected to the PC and, therefore, it USED TO BE recognized by the PC in these conditions. The device is not recognized in Windows Explorer as a device or disk as usual. I use Windows 7. The device is not recognized by Windows Media Player synchronization purposes: I can't synchronize playlists of music more.

You try to reset by pressing the power button / stop 20 seconds does not help.

Using different USB ports does NOT help.

The cable using different USB does not help.

    Another computer has NOT appeared.

Jonathan Bailey: Version V01.02.16A, isn't it?
Kyle Ahmed: It seems that the version is up-to-date.
Kyle Ahmed: The reason why it took more time to update the media earlier must be because of the large amount
songs that have been transferred, which can take the time to read.
Jonathan Bailey: OK, for 2 500 songs, it usually takes about 15-20 minutes
    Kyle Ahmed: I understand.

Kyle Ahmed: You should not face additional problems.

  • Sansa Clip 8 GB - Firmware Version 2.01.32 - all my files disappeared

So, today I have updated the firmware on my Sansa Clip from 2.01.16 to 2.01.32 and now, therefore, when I connect my player to the PC any of my files stored on my drive are visible. I tried to use the options to display the hidden files and system files on my PC, but it does not work. All files are always visible and readable on my player, and my shows to PC where there is 5.58 GB of used space on my drive but when I search in the records of the player using my PC, they're all empty... not so much as a single byte in sight... What is going on? Where are my files stored now? (And especially) How can I access them through my PC?

I read on a website that the deletion of the "MTABLE. SYS file' could solve this problem, but I have tried this 4 times now and the problem persists.

A big thank you to all those who can help.

Probably not a mistake but a MSC / outcome of the PSG. Go in the configuration of the element, and then select MTP. If still no files and select MSC.

If still no removal follow the instructions in the FAQS on this site.

  • Voice recording codec

I was super surprised when I used the voice recording function and my 2 G clip ran out of recording of the piece (10 hours) before it ran out of battery (15 hours).

There are so many cuts including coedecs without loss that could be used. MP3 is a uncompressed WAV or one of the many types compressed WAV, PCM is an example. I would say that this would be a very simple and such a no-brainer. I have other players who can save hours 30 or more, but want to use it with its battery life. Its nice on this little thing, but it bothers me a lot, because I bought it partially for this purpose.

I also format registered as a feature of some users.   I don't know how much processing power, it should be done on the fly, but I'm sure Sansa engineers/programmers could look to see if another record format could be used.    I wouldn't take the WAV format, but that's no loss.   An additional option for a compressed format would be great.    You could get a clip with more memory, version 4 or 8 GB.   Or a rocket that has a memory slot.

    See you soon,.
