• Frozen Blackberry - warranty blackBerry smartphones?

  I was wondering if someone could I would like to know how long the Blackberry 9300 3 has as a guarantee?

  I have one who is barely 5 weeks old and it froze!  Even after I remove the battery, wait a few minutes and then put the battery back, it is still frozen.  It won't let me even turn it off!

  We took it in a Carphone Warehouse store (originally purchased online through Carphone Warehouse), but they tell me that the warranty is only 28 days!  That doesn't seem fair to me.  They were exceptionally useless and said I have to give them the phone for them to send to repair which could take 3-4 weeks during which I have no phone but I still expect to pay for something that I can't use!

  All keyboard problems, it looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.
  Even sitting on a countertop bath during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to this JUST-withered.
  Really, it is more common than you think.
  1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.
  2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)
  3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).
  3. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

  If I had to be in Singapore, my warranty will be valid and where and how we serve our phone

  But if you buy the ATT device, use no ATT servcie and are not an ATT customer and unlock the device for use on another carrier? Of course, it is still guaranteed, but you will have a devil of a time access once you take the unit off to the carrier and retail dealer who sold you the unit.

  I bought my phone last September as released on Amazon UK. It is delivered in the original RIM package, and since then she has developed several problems.

  GPS system is deffective. A lock can sometimes be achieved and sometimes it will not. This includes times when I am stood next to another Blackberry user and it will not achieve a GPS lock when there is any material above the phone (ceiling, car roof, etc). This is not a phone option as the same person can ring me twice in a row and one of the times it will not respond to the call.
  
  The phone will not always respond to a change in internet connection, and will refuse to load pages as it wants a WiFi connection. This occurs about half of the time for all webpages, even if they're non-WiFi pages. This can only be resolved by connecting to another WiFi network. This occurs even with full 3G connectivity.
  

  I'm tired to look for alternatives, and some of these problems seem to be repaired.

  Is there a way I can just post to RIM and ask them to fix it in the title of their standard warranty of 12 months?

  I thought it might be corrosion as well, but that would mean that the device has been previously exposed to a sort of liquid.

  To quickly check, take off the case and remove the battery. The battery must have a white label near the connectors. Is it always white, or is it red? There is also an indicator of liquid on the left side of the battery (only visible when the battery is removed). It is white or has she turns red? There is also an indicator more in the camera itself (visible only when the device is engaged). Unfortunately, if one of these indicators have turned pink or red, the phone is is more covered by warranty.

  I just had a new Storm 2 and thought to sell on the internet. I'll propose the typical 30 days return policy, but I was wondering if the always 1 year manufacturer's warranty applies to the new owner in the case where the phone below upward after 30 days.

  Similarly, if I were to buy a Blackberry through sites like eBay or Amazon, and six months later it stop working, I'll be able to get it replaced through the warranty?

  I don't think so... that your buyer is not to buy the unit from a seller of authorized retailers.

  Similarly, if you buy a new device OR used from one seller other than a dealer, you only will have guaranteed either.

  Warranty service is provided by your operator. If you buy, say a device 9700 marked Tmobile, off eBay and you have a Tmobile account and use the device on Tmobile, you could get the warranty offered by Tmobile. If they check and see that you do not buy the device... maybe not.

  It's a bet that you do buy used or second hand machines and by buying from other independent sellers retail.

  I have a question about BlackBerry security or technical service. I bought my "BOLD" through eBay and I got a Bill also. As I see it when starting my "BOLD" is that the carrier is O2 Germany.

  Now, the bars of money between the keyboard fell of and I want to sent my BB on BOARD for technical service. I Don t know if I still have warranty or not, but it doesn´t question I'd even pay for it if they can repair. I already talk to O2 and they only repair with the original of the invoice I Don t.

  So my question is if there is a technical center in Germany where I can send my BB to and they look through it, if they can fix it or not and if it s possible how much it will cost.

  I already looked on the web and the forum, but I can´t find a direct contact with the RIM.

  Anyone know?

  Sorry, no you have a guarantee of purchase off eBay, unless the seller wants to justify the device.

  Buy new and third-party sellers (sellers unauthorized, as private sales on eBay) does not include a manufacturer's warranty, I think understand.

  You would be better out of touch with local smartphone repair center in the EU or the Germany, I don't know... a RIM service center it could be, I don't know.

• BlackBerry defective Z10 on z10: can't hear anything

  My new old z10 of 7 days from blackberry seems to have hit the fan. I'm not all the sounds on the phone. Discovered this while I took a call. They could hear me, but I couldn't hear them. It does not at all. Even on other applications or the voice command application. The only way I can take calls are now using the speaker or headphones. I also did a factory reset. Thought it could be the new software update. But does not work. I'm with fido. I thought they would give me just a new phone. But I guess they sent the BlackBerry phone for repairs. So much for having one of the easiest and effective of smartphones on the market. I was shocked, they don't just Exchange the phone for a new recital that the blackberry problems is to have all the performance and delivery of product problems. As the telephone. Not happy that I have a replacement phone for 2 weeks to get a week old repaired z10. Obviously its defective. I hope the warranty blackberry unit give me a working phone

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry overheat to crash/restart

  Less than 60 days "BOLD". Worked well during the first weeks. So for these last days will be just phone overheating (becomes so hot that you cannot hold it up to the cheek) and then crashed. On direct load it just keep restarting and will not load. On some of the fourms they said it's the facbook app that is causing the problem. I have uninstalled all applications on third party e.g. facebook, google aps, money of cnn etc. Still the same problem.

  I bought the phone from amazon and have thru ATT service. Two of them say deal with RIM. RIM has no info on the guarantee. Anyone has any info on the guarantee. How can I get the phone replaced RIM thur? Thanks for the info

  I finally have a solution to the issue. Thought I would update the thread for anyone who is facing a similar problem.

  I bought AT & T significant phone from Amazon.com, which has refused to do anything for 30 days after purchase. RIM actually does not warranty repairs/replacements from the public unless you want to pay high fees. All warranty blackberry issues through brand phone carrier. Someone at AT & T told me to go back to Amazon or RIM-they were wrong. So had hold of supervisor in the AT & T warranty dept that got directed to a local shop "device support". It's where they basically ensure that the phone does not work and that the owner is not a * beep *. The tech looked at the phone and said either fried your battery from your phone or the phone was deffective and got fried. Whatever it is, the phone was dead. They FedEx'ed me OneLa another tomorrow (but a refurbished). I don't know how RIM handles unbranded phones guarantees / unlocked.

  Technology has also indicated that the Facebook app crashing phones is real problem; something about the messages in store gift your phone instead of Facebook servers and which according to usage, less powerful blackberries tend to slow down giving the impression crashed.

  Probably none, if you have purchased from a retailer of athorized devices. And I know not at all to the United States that sell unlocked full guarantee instruments.

  You should ask your vendor what kind of warranty you have.

  After a few interesting emails back and forth between me and blackberry and carphone warehouse (cpw) I final summer said cpw more rule any guarantee that blackberry can have because I got phone to the company that originally sold management DAY blackberry not customer service said that cpw blackberry full support to load a package £170 for any blackberry phone and suggests to me because I wrote in the title of the guarantee is not not worth the paper it is written on. I have to wonder now I want a blackberry and if I keep them can I buy another guarantee or insurance for my phone which will cover all the damages put use ect when I say misuse, I don't mean that I'm going to beat hell on my phone. I guess I mean wera and tear normal. I have this crazy that the z10 Lighthouse comes with a warranty that is needless whats the fine tip to a guarantee if it covers all the things that can go wrong with a phone.

  If your phone is damaged while it is not a warranty issue, it would be a matter of insurance and if you have not then of course they will charge you to replace/repair it! Guarantee is valid for hardware FAILURES and software no damage. I worked for CPW and they have always been 100% fair with the repairs and replacements. Less 28 days and purchased through CPW then an exchange for a FOUL and then more than 28 days he would be sent for repair. You can go back to ebay and PayPal, you have said SEVERAL times here. There is damage to the handset and therefore CPW can't even offer repair/replace them for you. Lesson learned here I hope on the purchase of a high value electrical items on ebay...

• BlackBerry Z10 Z10 autoloader has failed/blocked, Bricked device

  My STL100 Z10-3 came out, and refuses to return. I had no problem at all with him beforehand. I decided to download the software on my computer and do a restore, but it did not work.   My Z10 is about 1.5 years and it won't turn.  I called Blackberry Tech support and they said that my camera is out of warranty, and they wanted to charge me just to discuss the problem with my phone.  Very bad customer service!

  My Z10 has always held a battery charge for a long time, with no problems.  However, last week my Z10 which was showing 100% load suddenly started beeping several times then stop.   The phone was not connected to a charger.

  I tried to turn my phone on, but nothing happened... dead.  I plugged the phone into my charger and got the Blackberry logo then an error code: 10-0020.  The phone also showed a chart of the battery with a lightning bolt through it.  The screen then went black and the LED light above the phone started to blink.

  I looked at my battery and it was fine without visible problems or damage.  Inside my phone was going on as well.

  I ordered a new battery, however, I have the same problem.

  Any ideas?

  I followed the steps described below:

  Connect the Z10 to the wall charger for a few hours and then with it STILL connected to the charger, remove the battery for a minute, reinsert the battery to restart.

  I was very surprised to discover that my phone really started with the original battery.  It is always connected and the battery is charging.
