Weird Flash problem

Hi all

It seems strange, but maybe someone has seen this before:

I add a Flash movie to the homepage of an existing site. I edit the page with Dreamweaver and plop Flash animation on an existing photo. Doesn't seem a problem, but when I look at the page online, there is a message at the bottom saying 'Cancelled loading page', and don't see my film.

A nice man on a Safari forum stressed that if javascript is disabled, the film plays very well. That's fine, but if I turn off javascript, my browsing goes to hell.

So I started poking around. What I've found is that if I comment out the line (stuffed into the HTML code when I add Flash) "swfobject.registerObject ("FlashID");", everything seems to work perfectly.

My question is, is to forget a bad idea? I ask for the enormous problems? Is there a better way?

Thank you

Peg

Hello

The registerObject (flashID) should not be commented out as required by javascript to do what he said, 'write the object. In many circumstances the swf/flv will still work if left out, the control of your swf/flv can not work properly.

You should also check this line of code-

-the version number is incorrect, try changing the 11 votes against 8, (it's in the code 2 times and both must be replaced).

  • Weird flashing Action with SWF file

    Hi guys.

I would like to know why the menu nav, I just do it in the catalyst makes a weird flashing action when I hover over the buttons, because it does not occur when you hover over the Start button on the monitor I did a few weeks - http://www.dylricho.com/

    Hi Dylan,.

There is a good chance that this is due to differences between your button above States.  Remember, the 'mouse sensitive' area is determined by the graphics are actually visible.  You could get a flicker if a work of art that is visible in the up State is hidden in the over State:

    1. Imagine a rectangle "dyed background" is visible in the high State.  Mousing over this rectangle of course puts you in the over State.
    2. Now imagine this background rectangle is not visible in the over State and neither are all the other charts to this position.  So, as soon as you arrive at the over State, you are in fact no longer at the top of the button.
    3. Since you are not on the button, return you to a high State.  But now you 're (on the button given that the rectangle has reappeared), so you go back to the over... State but now you're not on the button, then... etc.

(You may have noticed this same problem on some HTML sites where the links change font style and then resizing, in response to the overthrow).

If you can just twist your work to solve this problem, there is a sneaky workaround solution: draw a large rectangle (or other shape) over your all button to define the area that is sensitive to the mouse.  Now to set the opacity of the rectangle to zero – but leave the eyeball on in the layers panel.  Because the rectangle is always technically visible (eyeball is on), it will always be 'catch' mouse on behalf of key events.  (Just be sure that you share the rectangle in all the States of the button and do the same size across all States).

  • Rebel T3i Flash problem?

    Hi all

I was recently given a T3i as a birthday gift.  I've been playing with the camera and have noticed a weird problem with the built-in flash.  She fires as expected when you use the viewfinder, but when using the screen live LCD or quick modes, popping up from flash flashes a busy screen, and try to take a picture will result in flash not firing and the camera all becomes unresponsive.  It will not respond to any key, except the menu and playback buttons, and it does not appear to turn on and off by switching the power switch.  These symptoms persist until I have remove and replace the battery.  Is - it so the camera is supposed to work?  I have read that you cannot use live modes with an external flash, but it also includes the bulit in one?

Check the website to see if you have the latest firmware for the Canon camera.  He shouldn't be locked up in the way you described.

I never used the fast mode on my T5.  And, I rarely use flash, simply because it is not very good beyond a distance of 5 to 10 feet and more than the typical kit lens, 18-55 mm, lenses tend to cast a shadow on the image.

  • Weird sight problems

I have two labs of 20 machines from view and 12 reviews. The machines are mainly used as navigation and web processing machines. In December, we have improved (built from the ground in fact) to view 4.5. Everything works much better and most of the time, there were no problems, except for a weird problem with some Web sites. For example, users can go to YouTube and watch the video ok, but if they go to a site such as Nasa.gov or AOL to check e-mail that flashes the VM wants to be uncoupled. Screen goes back to the client desktop light briefly and then the virtual machine returns but they are never allowed to finish their task, such as AOL checking emails, see Nasa.gov etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thank you

You say that it is only a problem when you use the VI client? If that's the case then don't worry in the subject of vmtools (except to make sure that the video acceleration is set to full). Firmware is perhaps the way to go. I know that view 4.5 introduces further optimizations for thin clients and in your situation, you may need some changes to settings of your thin clients. I don't know what is available for thin clients, but if you look at the VMtools installation you will see that there is an option (not selected by default) that allows the support for Wyse terminals.

You can disable the flash limitation in the settings of your pool if it is enabled. Also experiment with the amount of RAM for your VM and/or the video RAM.

When you did your master image is - that spend you a lot of time optimizing for review. Here is a cool link to optimize XP to see. I hope you find it useful. I use the view 4.0 with thin clients Wyse P20. In my situation, the only time where I had problems with the display on the terminal Wyse was either because of the firmware version/settings.

  • Weird Graphics problem, leads eventually to force restart or same BSOD

I'm fairly certain that it's associated with firefox, or plug or maybe compatibility issue, however I'm getting weird graphic blocks. the occasionlly seem to start from a flash image in a page, but I can't say this is the cause 100%. Looks like small multicoloured boxes located in weird habits. and causes other odd graphics, it's even worse, more I gave it the value. Once for the heck of it I drove up and down scroll bar about 10 times very fast and it makes a BSOD. These odd graphs do not always appear if I do not open Firefox (use IE today), but they do not disappear if I see and then stop Firefox. Usually I have to restart the computer, because they take too much of the screen, I see nothing. It does not change even if when I move windows and others, they are not limited to the Firefox window and spread to the office empty too.

I think that the settings manager for flash player in the control panel of the operating system has no hardware acceleration still options. From now on, you may need to right click on a video in a web page to enable / disable hardware acceleration of individual flash.

  • Satellite L850 - weird noise problem (not events)

    Hello

I have a weird problem with my laptop. Since a few days, my laptop started to make a little noise from the base of the laptop.
I care because during the day I don't even notice, but now (it's 05:00)
Clearly, I hear a noise coming from the base.

It has not happened before and I don't know what could be, because the strangest thing is that, according to Toshiba Health Monitor, fan is 0% (because I'm on mode eco and do nothing to do) and the CPU is at 48th. As you can imagine, my laptop is far from heating.

Then, where this noise could come from?
Now, I know that this isn't the ventilation openings, but something inside the laptop (maybe HARD drive?)

And I'm confident in the vents because the vents start to operate when I load a movie or game, and when start knocking noise that I do not speak of persists.

It's not embarrassing, because I have to be in complete silence to hear it. As I said, I don't notice the noise when it is diurnal, and I could live with it, but not knowing this noise source makes me a bit paranoid. I bought a month ago, so I don't think that I have to clean.

    Thank you.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to tell where the noise is coming so if you want to solve this problem I think you should bring to the nearest post of Toshiba and the guy there it should check. Guarantee is valid if repairs must be free.

Can you tell us what part of your laptop is this noise?

  • iMac 4 k (end of 2015) photoshop screen flashing problem/bug

    Hello

I'm a Retoucher, so I use Adobe Photoshop to do my job.

Recently, I bought a new iMac 21.5 (end of 2015) with the cool Retina display 4 k.

    Configuration:

    OS X El Capitan

    Version: 10.11.3 (15 d 21)

iMac (retina 4K, 21.5 inches, end of 2015)

Processor: 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5

    Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Pro Iris Graphics 6200 1536 MB

But the happiness was gone soon after the installation of Adobe Photoshop and trying to do my job. The fact is that I found a disgusting bug. My screen goes black / begins to blink/flicker (the video is here - https://youtu.be/D-5dF3dvYmM).

First my thought was - maybe it's a problem with the combinations of keys or graphics tablet. Then I turned off the Tablet and checked the shortcut key settings and tried once more - the problem has not disappeared.

Then I tried to repeat the bug. I realized that there are not any sequence of actions. Screen flickers randomly. But I noticed - fact screen to browse more often (when you use the tools brush or pad), pressing CMD, SPACE, the [] keys.

The next step was Google. I found a lot of these questions:

There is ONLY a SINGLE REALLY WORKING solution - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aGJBafQWTg

+ Chris Hong Here is a very ugly solution - I realized that this issue only happens when my cursor for eraser size is too large. I just went into preferences > slider and make the precise cursor. He stopped the issue of flashing. Although it makes the little hard work on photoshop.

It's really worked, but done PS is usless to me (and as I understood it too for many users of the new iMac 4K).

I tried to make a comeback to the iMac, but my dealer Apple told me that it is software problem, so that they can't return to my iMac and get a refund.

    Dear Apple or Adobe,

    Please solve this terrible problem.

I look forward to your response and resolution of my problem.

    Thank you.

    Yours faithfully,

    Alyona

    PS Sorry for my English.

    Hello

I have the same problem with my iMac nine 4K, the latest version of the operating system and Photoshop was last updated.

I've contacted Apple and Adobe, but Adobe has no answer for us, and Apple says it's a software problem, Adobe has to solve.

The really unique solution for not having the flashing black screen is the one you posted, made a comment on a Youtube video: set the cursor as "accurate".

I agree with your prayer: Please Adobe and Apple fix this bug!

  • (Memphis-S) weird motherboard problem

Hello, guys! I need to change my stock cooler, with another one (mugen 4), but I have a weird problem, I can't remove the back plate. I don't know how to explain it exactly my problem because of my bad English, so I'll add a photo (so the main question is: is it possible to remove the back plate?) (the photo is not of my mobo, but I have the same problem):

Yes, I saw your picture posted.
    --
Are you sure that you can not use that existing Memphis-S back as installed metal plate?
    --
Have you looked AT the photo of the motherboard (Memphis-S) in the HP link provided?
IF NOT, let me clearly from the comparison and review of the photo.

The back plate is held on the motherboard by the 3 screws of the machine
(and the nuts on the side of the metal plate) the decision-making LGA1150.

IF you remove the back plate, the 3 nuts must be put back to their machine screws, without damaging the multilayer motherboard.

See the SCYTHE Mugen 4, the manufacturer of this thermal CPU / heatsink, for additional advice/recommendations.
    http://www.Scythe-EU.com/en/products/CPU-cooler/Mugen-4.html

Done SCYTHIAN State (their Support for Mugen 4 page), as for AMD motherboards,
the metal back plate of origin is required for the installation of the appropriate heat sink.

  • G10 Flash problem after replacement of the lens - ideas?

Hi, I'm guessing that you don't have the service software, update of tables, box of collimator etc to recalibrate the system of lenses?

When the camera takes pictures in what image?

I doubt you have 2 bad lenses.

You have the service manual? Platinum flash connects usually to DC power immediately the battery box, look in this area for a problem with a connector, you can have inverted one on both devices? I worked on a few models, G5 and the S5, but never on the Assembly of lenses because of all the special tools and software required. I was able to locate the service manuals for the ones I worked on the first. If you do not try and find maintenance manual.

So my assumptions are you making the same mistake with the connectors on the PCB flash on or near the battery on both devices box or systems of lenses must be recalibrated is why you have this symptom "hunting".

Also as a thought after you have the AC adapter, if so try using them and see if the flash works. If it works with that then your problem is most certainly in or around the battery box/cards PCB.

Let me know what you find.

  • EOS 50 d, Flash problems

I tried to take a picture that required the use of a flash. Him build-in flash "should have" popped up, but it did not. I couldn't, electronically via the flash button, do come. After going to the 'Flash' settings, under '' integrated '' I got the message "cannot display this menu. External Flash is attached. "Under"External Flash", I got"unable to display this menu. Not compatible flash or the flash output is off. «The last message was posted under the flash settings external and «Clear flash ext...» "I erased all settings of the camera, deleted/replaced battery, changed the battery to an another one (to the authentic times) and nothing fixed the problem.
I tried to raise the flash with my fingers but I'm afraid I'll break anything by doing this.
I rarely use flash anyway, but the only time where I wanted...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Firmware: Version 1.0.9

This unit has never had an external flash attached, via the hot shoe or PC terminal.

If it indicates that the external flash is attached to what it means is that the sensor in the hot shoe is probably stuck.

The shoe shot has two "rails" hold an external flash and each rail has a "spring blades.  Use a toothpick (or something that is used to scratch the camera) and * carefully * lift springs.  On one of them, you will see a small button (probably black).  It is a 'micro switch '.   When you drag in a Flash, this button is depressed, and that's how the camera knows that you have attached an external flash (in which case she will not try to use the internal flash.)

These micro-switches can (and obviously do) become 'glued' anytime.  Shake the micro-switch with the toothpick and it probably just "pop up" for you.  If you want, remove the battery from the camera and then pick up a drop of denatured alcohol and drop it on the switch to help dissolve anything that might be what actually stick.  Do not use any type of oil (oil just will help collect more dust and it erases everything.)  The alcohol evaporates so you won't have anything left out Gummy.  You probably won't have the alcohol, but if the switch is not free pop up, then it would be one of the ways.
