What is the port? What's on my PC? He acts as a spy software!

"The Microsoft SeaPort Search Enhancement process is apparently shipped with the Windows Live Suite No matter what options are chosen by the user during installation."

SeaPort.exe seems to use about 9.2 MB of RAM and still communicate over the internet, even if nobody is using the computer!

Why?

The link below will give you a better understanding of what is the sea port:

I hope this helps

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Sorry but I don't understand your reference to a 'port' for the hard drive.  A 'port' is typically a connector on the case of a laptop when you plug a cable any in.  And, in this sense, there is no "port" for the hard drive.

This link is to the Service and maintenance for your PC Guide: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5271152&docId=emr_na-c03404932&docLocale=en_US

Information hard disk, as well as the replacement instructions, begin on page 37.  Understand, though, that this isn't a deletion-the-cover, ease of use; Instead, you must disassemble the laptop.  Unless you are experienced in doing that, my recommendation is to have the disk swap is completed in an HP Service Center.

Here is information on Service Centers: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00372730?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

  • New Port USB 2.0 with digital video duplicator - what is Ethernet at the back the port used for?

Received last week, plugged into my W500 (Windows XP Professional) - seems to work very well, but I'm mystified by the Ethernet port on the back of the replicator - that is it for?

I'm sure it's a simple question with a simple answer, but I don't know what to do with this port - does not seem to make a difference if a network connection is connected to this port or not?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can download usb based ethernet dongle. The ethernet on the port replicator port simply acts as a your computer's ethernet connector.

The point of having a port replicator, is that it acts like a Replicator of ports on your computer.

  • What are the ports used by the Cisco VPN Client?

    Hello

I need to open my outgoing traffic on my firewall to allow two interns (LAN) Cisco VPN Client to connect to their Internet virtual private network.

I already opened the port 500/UDP, but they are not able to connect. If I open all outgoing ports, they can connect.

What are the ports used by the Cisco VPN Client?

    Thank you

    You need to open:

    UDP 500

    ESP protocol

You must also open the UDP 4500 port (if using NAT - T).

In addition, if the clients are connecting to a VPN 3000 Concentrator series and it is configured for all other options of NAT-transparency, corresponding ports must be open. By default:

    1. If using IPSec over TCP 10000, then open TCP 10000.

    2. If using IPSec over UDP 10000, open UDP 1000.

  • What is exactly in place at the port before RDP on WebVPN on ASA?

I've seen discussion elsewhere to use WebVPN of ASA and then using mstsc on Windows to send a normal RDP session through the VPN connection. Success is reported, but the recipe is not specified. I get the notion that it should involve setting up the port forwarding on the ASA. So if for example the forwarded port is 50001, then on the client system would connect through:

    mstsc /v:127.0.0.1:50001

Who is suggested to http://microsoft-server-operating-systems.hostweb.com/TopicMessages/microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services/781703/1/Default.aspx - there are has similar partial reports elsewhere, as in http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1035146809&postcount=5.

In our case, that administration of Cisco is in other hands - we are in a situation that is hosted behind an ASA dedicated to our use. What exactly should we ask them to obtain regular Windows RDP works this way? We tried Java and ActiveX, plugins but those are limited in different ways and do not always work on all client systems, so we want to try to use the RDP of MS client instead. We are not in a situation to require our users to install a VPN client software, so we need a way that works with the WebVPN. It is encouraging that other people have of this work. But we can not yet found where everyone has published a recipe in sufficient detail to pass on the exact instructions to our third ASA admins.

Port transfers the key for this? Or a "smart tunnel" would be an option? Thanks for any advice.

    Pentecost,

    Let's take a step back.

It works a lot like forwarding with SSH port forwarding. You indicate that some remote host/port will be available via this port locally (and Yes, that you connect through localhost:localport), java applet bit takes care of the rest.

Now smart tunnel (for programs) is a tricky beast, it is initially essentially all instances of a program to establish sockets via the tunnel.
Result? You specify that you want to connect to anything on the remote side, as if the program would be remote. Don't know if that makes sense

It is also smart tunneling of the bookrmaks and home pages, but it is a completely different matter.

If you are looking for something simple, but maybe not so... easy to use port forwarding should be fine.

    Marcin

    P. S.

I'm not familiar with the limits of the performance of the Terminal Server services in a tunnel smart (not to say that there is not).

  • What is the right configuration of the port for my Photosmart C6180 using 32-bit Windows 8?

    Hi all

I have a HP Photosmart C6180. I recently changed to Windows 8 32-bit. I downloaded the HP Windows 8 drivers, but I still have problems with the printer. In Control Panel, the printer status says "error".  I think that it could possibly be a problem with the printer port settings. So, my question is, what is the right configuration of the port for my Photosmart C6180 using 32-bit Windows 8?

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, JoeRocket

    Hello JoeRocket,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your Photosmart C6180 enjoys a status of "error". I will do my best to help you! I would start by following this entire document on "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print.

This document provides steps to check the printer driver and port of your computer. Please post your results, I'll be looking forward to hear from you.

    Have a good night!

  • What are the ports need to be open?

I'll put up my fmis to stream video through rtmp and http.

    I'm on a network locked.

What are the ports must be opened to allow people outside the network access to the rtmp/http stream?

Am I correct to say the only port 80 and 1935?

Yes... 80 and 1935 is what you need for RTMP and HTTP Proxy downloads connections. If you want to use RTMPS, you must also open 443.

If you want to be able to use the administration service and the administration console, you must also open 1111

  • [question] what is the ports to use ISDN G/W?

Hello. I am a newbie of telepresence area.

I face to configure an ISDN G/W befind the firewall.

To connect to other devices, I need to know which ports are using.

I searched for information through Google and CISCO Web page, but I couldn't know.

I hope that someone knows about the ports ISDN G/W. help, please...

    Thank you.

You should mention this kind of gateway that you use, the better would be to also mention the version of the software.

Also include some info from your deploymet.

For the old codian procucts (like 3241/8321 ISDN GW), have a look here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/articles/conferencing_products_conferenceme_ports_used_kb_3.shtml

SIP is not currently supported, but I read somewhere here that it will come as well.

It depends somewhat on your deployment which ports must be open and which should be blocked.

Be cautious when you deploy an ISDN GW with connectivity to the public ISDN network

as an open ISDN GW can cause unwanted / fraud calls that can generate a large number of costs.

Better is to have a strict plan of numbering on the ISDN GW itself and also to block calls via a control call (vcs/cucm).

  • Portege R500 - configure the parser on the Port Replicator

The system is Portege R500 with a port replicator Port MS Vista running. Port replicator has a Philips 19 "LCD monitor

System has BEEN configured so that when the system was in the duplicator monitor 19 "inches would be active and system monitor is inactive.

But, a few days before the following events occur, when the system is in the port replicator and its turned on screen (the one with the mobile progress indicator) Windows startup is displayed on the Port Replicator monitor, then the screen turns white and displays them on the screen on the monitor system, after entering the desktop on the monitor system.

I live in a remote area, so I can't pop in the store of the local computer to ask for help.

I would appreciate someone to give me some guidance as to where it configures the port replicator monitor configuration. I looked at the section Configuration screen Control Panel but it seems to be the performance of two monitors, it appears not to address the peculiarities of a laptop computer with a port replicator configuration

    Thank you

    Hello

I have no Portege R500 but I ve used external monitor connected to my Tecra duplicator.
Can you please tell me how you have configured previously?

What is your external monitor set as primary monitor?

  • Problems with the port replicator USB 2.0 after installing Windows XP - SP2

    Hello world

I have a Satellite M30 742 with MS-Windows XP Professional installed. I plugged most of my external devices to him through a port replicator Toshiba USB 2.0. Everything seems to work fine until I installed Service Pack 2.

Therefore, starting my laptop computer is an adventure to recognize random port replicator: usually four USB ports are recognized, but the ports series and parallel, keyboard and mouse ports are ignored, with a message "unknown USB device".

Uninstalling and reinstalling, them or their drivers are a vain effort, since Windows keep ignoring them.

However, in other occasions, they are recognized without problems (even if windows insist on installing their drivers each time that it finds, even if I have already installed a large number of times).

Please, you have an idea to solve this problem * boring * problem?

Thank you very much in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Hello

what you might try is to reinstall the chipset driver because I think that the USB is connected to the chipset.

In my opinion the Windows upgrade had changed the pilot USB from Toshiba a MS a. So the Port Replicator is not recognized all the time.

  • Portege M400: Display appears on the side to the Port Replicator

    Hi all

M400 laptop when starting at the port replicator will display the screen on the side. I must then, open the laptop screen and set the display in normal mode. When I'm correct display turn the laptop off and back on the display appears again on the side... Turning on a laptop without port replicator, portable computers the display is correct. What is going on. How to set the default display when in normal port replicator?

    Thank you

These sound like the laptop would turn to Tablet mode after connection to the raplicator port.
I think it has a bad setting in the utility of rotation.
You must enter this utility and check the PC mode and the Tablet PC settings.
I think that the parameters must be defined on primary landscape

In addition, I would recommend checking the Toshiba mobile extension tool that is placed in the control panel.
There is a tab to display change. Here you can activate the service of display change
