More recently, Windows jumped this error code:

    Windows Update error 80070436

Remember, it is the rule, not the exception.

    I want to know:

    (2) why he gave me a code he himself has no idea of what it refers to?

    (3) how is it possible to find something so special as a code 8-digit that makes no sense or reference?

    (4) why this is the case almost every time?

    (5) is it some kind of joke or game who has the power of Microsoft considers it necessary to continually unfold over and over again?

  • State of the unknown connection, DPS and missing permissions to Trustedinstaller

    Unknown connection status,
    DPS and
    missing permissions to Trustedinstaller

Hi, I have a problem that my computer cannot connect to the internet.

A bit strange, because when I opened the dialog box to connect to the network, I am told that the computer is already connected to full speed.

But warns the network icon in the status bar "unknown connection status. The dependency service or group was able to start. »

And when I open the Connection Wizard to the internet there is a message "The wizard cannot continue" and the following details of tecknical (there is a version in French):

    "The component GUID: {7071ECA3-663B-4BC1-A1FA-B97F3B917C55}.
    The component file: [C:\Windows\system32\connect.dll]
    Error: (0x800706BA) .

    Additional info:
Impossible to detect an Internet connection.

This frustrating experience came from the past months. I was busy at the time tried several different antivirus programs, one after the other. I uninstalled this antivirus after trying for a month, then continued to install the following, just to see if it was the ultimate antivirus I want really to buy and use. Then, when I installed the following antivirus, I was told that it was not necessary for me to first uninstall the old antivirus. The new installation of the antivirus program could take care of this.  Then I went to install Kaspersky Anti-virus, and after that, I tried Bitdefender, under the presumption that the installer will take care of uninstalling the old antivirus.

I don't know if this actually produced some kind of conflict, or if it's just my imagination, but it is somewhere at this point that the problem started. Maybe something happened in the registry?

    1. unfortunately I have no point of restoring a useful, probably because I had not booked enough space on my system.

    2. I tried the command
    Ping www.google.com
cmd.exe as administrator, but no, he had no contact with the internet.

    3. I tried the ipconfig command and got two IP addresses correctly as a response, other media have been disconnected.

    4. I also tried the commands
    netsh winsock reset catalog
    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
and told him after that to restart the computer, but it did not help.

    5. of course, the first thing I did to try to get on the internet was trying to diagnose and fix, but it is still to this day always says "Network Diagnostics cannot run because the Diagnostics Policy Service is not running" I then have the option to open the Service Control Manager to manually start the diagnostic policy Service. But when I try to do it gets stuck and the DPS does not start.

    6. in my research on the internet I came across some interesting information in Microsoft Answers referring to
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943996
It turns out that, in this article, which...
"For service"Service of political diagnosis', the problem may occur when the Trustedinstaller account is missing permissions for the key below:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DPS\Parameters

Is the necessary permission: full control, read. »

Comparing with my Win7 machine, it turns out that indeed these two permissions are checked in this registry key.

Open the registry editor in the Vista system confirmed that Trustedinstaller (in French CREATOR OWNER) were missing two permissions. I checked both boxes, but here I ran into a problem: when I clicked 'Apply' controls have disappeared. Can someone please tell me what is the problem here? And this is the solution to the problem of connectivity together?

Thus, when the Diagnostic Policy Service is running, it will also open access once more to the internet?

My computer is a Packard Bell EasyNote BU with MS Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 2.

Forum about it queries are a couple of years. This means that the problem has been resolved without my noticing?

Without computer access to the internet, it is difficult to diagnose and repair the computer to solve the problem.
It's a last-ditch effort, I would be so grateful if someone comes up with the solution.

  • How to solve the problem with Windows Update on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium SP1; Module Windows install encounter error 126, impossible to run/scannow sfs or TrustedInstaller. Help, please

    Hello

First of all, thank you in advance for any advice for any help, you can offer.

A week ago I noticed that Windows Update had a backlog of updates (30-40) as I had it value updates but let me choose whether to install them. As I tried to install, I noticed download election for hours but no visible progress in the taskbar and only a few updates installed on restart. Try to check the updates of similar results. I tried a number of solutions suggested here as a tool for troubleshooting Windows Update, but it made that seem to clear my list of updates to uninstall and make sure Windows Update has been under the impression that I had never checked the updates, apparently a worsening of the problem like today no update appeared and I encountered error 8007000D.

I've tried other options like Windows system update readiness tool and tried to run the sfc/scannow System File Checker, but what who would not (cannot start service repair) I grew more and more worried. On recommendation from other forums, I tried also to start TrustedInstaller in command prompt, which does not. Unfortunately, I had run a Disk Defrag and clean-up recently which had been deleted and (unbeknownst to me) my last restore point. The root of the problem seems to be the Windows Modules Installer, which does not start when you are prompted in Services (error 126), something wrong with the registry may. So reluctantly, I tried to perform a repair installation using a downloaded iso, I burned onto a DVD (insured was also Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1). However, even if it doesn't seem to work, it is constantly check for installation updates (unless this is supposed to last several hours?) or if I opt not not to check, it pass the compatibility check and then fail in the second stage (collection of files, settings, and programs). I tried several times, once in offline mode with my disabled (Norton) antivirus and once in clean boot mode.

I don't know what other options I have. I would like to avoid a clean as much as possible installation, because my computer (HP laptop) still seems to operate normally (for the moment) outside the impossibility to install Windows updates (via Windows Update or directly from Microsoft, it seems), but I think it would just leave vulnerable more and more over time. Has anyone else had similar problems and has found a way to solve? I'm not a computer expert so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Try the troubleshooting steps in this link: error message when you start the service installer of Modules of Windows (TrustedInstaller): "system error 126: the specific module could not be found".

  • "You must be logged in as an administrator to install this program" error when I AM logged on as administrator. possible problem with TrustedInstaller security

I am logged in as administrator on the single computer.  I try to install Net Nanny, which claims to be compatible Windows 7.
The first time I tried to install it I got the error, simply, 'access denied '.  After several attempts with the same error, I rebooted in Mode safe mode with network and then got the error that the Windows Installer Service is not accessible.  After some research, I discovered that Windows Installer is not available in safe mode.
So I booted in Normal mode.  Logged as administrator.  Tried to click with the right button on the installer downloaded for Net Nanny and ran as administrator, the connection of the administrator.  Now I get the error, "You must be logged in as administrator to install this program."  I am.
I closed all firewalls, anti-virus software AND turn off the UAC.  I checked the compatibility AND security for the download tab and it is configured to run as administrator and I tried to run in several modes of compatibility.  I still don't "You must be logged in as administrator to install this program."  No matter what I try, I still get this error.
I used the command prompt, type msiexec.exe / unregister, and then msiexec/regserver.  No new results.  Still the same error.

I called Net Nanny press SEVERAL times and they will know that this is a Windows problem, because this is the first time that they already got this error.  They had me to download another file on a mirror site.  Not always the same error.  People what I'm doing wrong?  I was able to successfully install other software.  Thanks for any help!

UPDATE * I am researching always this.  This would be a TrustedInstaller security problem?  If this is the case, is it possible to fix the TrustedInstaller or turn it off?  The big question, is that I want to turn it off?  My first thought is 'no '.  However, this software is listed on the Microsoft site as being compatible with Windows 7.  Therefore, an application that is 3rd party that is accepted by Microsoft.  Wow, I'm confused.  Don't know what to do here.

    Hello carpetfresh,

A test, I temporarily disable user account control and then see if you can install Net Nanny. If so, we know that UAC is what is causing the problem with the installation.

    1. access control panel user to the Start Menu-> Control Panel-> user accounts and of security for the family-> user account

    2. click on the settings of the user account controll link.

    3. move the slider to never notify

    4. click OK for the changes to take effect

    5 reset.

Once you have correctly installed the Net Nanny, then back to the control panel and reactivate the UAC.

Answer please come back and let us know.

    Sincerely,

  • Is it right to TrustedInstaller to have the property full on everything in WinSXS?

Recently had an anti-virus program quarantined files of false positives in the WinSXS folder. In order to restore them, I had to take possession of its default owner, TrustedInstaller WinSXS. Long story short: I took possession of WinSXS and all subfolders, I granted full access, restored the files quarantined, deleted what I myself had granted permissions and back to TrustedInstaller property. Everything seems to have worked, but now I wonder if I have unintentionally screwed up the properties of Sub-folders. I noticed that on my other computer, a laptop running Vista, some subfolders are the property of SYSTEM instead. I did not bother to check what their default owner was on this machine and now WinSXS, and everything it contains is owned by TrustedInstaller with all permissions.

So my question is, is this well for the TrustedInstaller to have complete ownership over everything in WinSXS? or is the default owner of this same TrustedInstaller? I'm just trying to put it back exactly how it was to ensure that Windows can still interact with the file correctly.

    Using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

    Thank you.

Trusted install is the default owner of WinSXS and subfolders.

  • My computer is losing space because of Trustedinstaller

I have a HDD 60 GB with winows 7 and latley I have to delete or move a large number of files to have at least 2 GB freespace.

I know that Trustedinstaller is there for a reason, but when I look at the disk C: and it say card Windows have over 30GB

and half of the disk space winsxs plan. I know that is the reason why I have not any GB left.

I want to have an update any to help me to remove unnecessary files in winsxs,.

because Service\trustinstaller will not let me delete one of them.

Setup takes zero space of trust.  It is simply the owner of the files.  The size of winsxs is not uncommon.

You can find what is eating space using a free tool called treesize (by Jam software)

60 hd is too small for win 7

  • I changed ownership to the TrustedInstaller c: to another account and tried to stop him too late.

    Operating system - Windows 7.

For cleaning neglected someone's PC, I did a huge change without having to learn first about it.

    That's where I was:

    -Drive C: properties,

    -Security tab

-Click on the "Advanced" option, which has opened the

-Advanced window of the security settings for the OS (C :).

    -Owner tab

-in the box under "current owner:" he showed the name "Trusted Installer".

There was the possibility of "' a change of ownership to:" under which she listed the person name that has computer is, what I'll call 'John Doe'. "

Quickly, I assumed this TrustedInstaller was against malware, causing some problems.  I picked the name of the person and proceeded to spend the entire C: drive content to 'John Doe' property.

I tried to stop him, hoping that the cancellation of the changes, rather than their "application" would avoid this action.  But, no luck.

I tried a restore system for two hours before point, but the owner is still listed as John Doe.

I want to go the drive C: TrustedInstaller property, as it is supposed to be.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Evolution of the file property is rarely a good idea, unless you know exactly what you are doing. This recipe can help you to repair the damage.

  • How can I get permision from TrustedInstaller to delete 1000 of unknown signs on my photos.

How can I get permision from TrustedInstaller to delete 1000 of unknown signs, coming in my photos. Every few months theres different symbols, icons, photos, etc that appear just with my photos in windows live photo gallery... IV ' e uninstalled twice and it makes no difference...

    What are these signs?

Are they actually in the pictures or photo icon (thumbnail)?

Some backup software, for example Norton, puts the symbols on the icons to indicate the status of the backup files.
