What undo_tablespace initialization parameter?

I mean, why this parameter is placed in the pfile or spfile? because the undo tablespace belongs to the database instead of the instance, why not put this info in the control file?

The Undo Tablespace is bound to the Instance. To the CARS, the settings file to identify the Undo Tablespace for each Instance. A 4 CARS with 4 instances node will be so 4 undo tablespace active.

• Relationship between physical memory and oracle initialization parameter

Hi all

I had been confused with the oracle initialization parameter setting.

When set us the oracle initialization parameter. For example: Shared pool size, db_cache_size, target memory.

Review you mean that if the physical memory is 2gig, and you are ready to set the SGA greater than this, it will work or not, the answer would be that it would be a very bad thing to do. These parameters represent the SGA, which must be restricted in respect of the maximum physical memory available on the server.

See the link given by Rp. From 10 g, it rarely need this kind of tuning.

If I wan to increase db_cache_size parameter, do I rebounce instance?

Could be very easily answer this question for yourself by searching for the parameter in the docs. See here,
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25513/initparams052.htm#REFRN10033

Its a dynamic parameter and does not need a db bouncing to change.

• Looking for info on the _parallel_syspls_obey_force initialization parameter

We regularly get the message about "nonconformity"-OEM

***************************CUT HERE***********************

The database uses the non-standard initialization parameter parallelsyspls_obey_force, that has the value TRUE. Using non-standard initialization parameters can cause database issues that are difficult to diagnose.

We lack of RDBMS Oracle 11 g 2 (11.2.0.3.2) and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11 g on Linux x 86-64. I searched on the usual sites (e.g. My Oracle Support, Oracle 11 g of baseline, this forum, AskTom and Google) and I'm not having any luck finding what parallelsyspls_obey_force is or what it does, and why, it is set to TRUE is apparently 'bad' (i.e. non-standard). Before I change to FALSE (I guess that will make happy OEM), I would like to know a little more about it.

Can someone tell me what is this parm and what potential impact it can be if I set it to FALSE?

You mean validated commands can be used to change the dynamic settings.

First command: change the entire system P = p_value deferred;

Depends on and you can find out by checking the column isses_modifiable of the parameter $ v

Second comand: change the entire system P = p_value scope = spfile;

• What is a "parameter of waveform dt < = 0' error?"

I need to follow a signal square using a PXI-6221. Currently I use it to take a waveform of 500000-sample, which is then sent to "Extract information your unique" to find the frequency. The frequency is then written into a spreadsheet file.

Initially, I used this VI with the PXI-6221 in a PXI-1000 b with a PXI - 8156B controller. The VI I had written to perform the above tasks has been saved as a LV 7.1 executable. There is no error while running VI and the frequency of approximately 3 kHz was estimated to about 20 Hz. Then, I decided to use the exact same VI and map in an SMU-1065 chassis using a MXI-Express for PC bridge. Of the shot, if I used a LV 7.1 exe or even VI saved under 8.6, 8.0, or 7.1, it gave me the same error whenever the VI reached the point where it had to assess the frequency of the signal: ' dt waveform parameter<>

-PXI - 8156B is a processor 233 MHz running under Win.NT.

-The PC is a relatively new model running on Win XP.

-When I access the PXI-6221 test panel and manually run the test, I see a set of square waves appear on the chart as expected.

-L' exact same error when I replace it with a PXI-6259 for PXI-6221.

-The voltage of the signal moves between-5 and 0 V.

-When an analysis of different frequency VI is used the same problem occurs.

You have no frequency clock value. When your VI runs, the waveform in the half superior as a dt value of zero.

• Block initialization parameter default value of the session variable used in default prompt as "(toutes les valeurs de colonne)" "

Hello

I have a business requirement for a dashboard that we built location to get the users that belong to a certain geographic location to the default view of the dashboard with guests together in their geographic area. He is just giving them a default view to enhance their experience when they connect each day. Because of the way that we put the default value for the period of time they watch, with the HELP of SAUVÉ the CUSTOMIZATIONS IS NOT AN OPTION.

I created the default values for the prompt called "area" in a block of initialization. This variable is called V_USER.

My problem is that only about 80% of users have a value of 'Area' in the hierarchy of our employees. I would like to someone else by default "(toutes les valeurs de colonne)". " I was unable to understand how and where do.

Some of the things I've tried:

(1)Setting the default value in the initialization of an empty space block ("in SQL)
(2)Setting the default value in the initialization "(toutes les valeurs de colonne) block '"
(3)Setting the default value in the initialization block 'null '.

None of them have worked and the result is that the user who does not have an area ends with a load of zombie dashboard, and while the guest gave rise to fashion "- select value -", the user must press "Apply" again to get the dashboard to display the data.

The text which lies behind the encircled area in green below correctly becomes the value of the variable to V_USER (it is empty as default and I don't have a box).

For @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[USERS ']} the default zone must be @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[V_USER']} {}

In the red circles below you can see that the guest actually becomes a value: *) nqgtu(* )

The illustration below indicates the default value for a user without a box. the second quick block is not updated until you press on apply again...

Thanks for your comments. I was not able to make this work for my needs. I have however to solve the problem by changing using a 'SQL result' for my default selection. Then I created a query that returns rows NULL unless there is a correct answer:

SELECT 'Service Delivery MOS '. "' Organizational hierarchy. "" Area ".

"MOS DELIVERY."

WHERE ("organisational hierarchy". ("" Area number "> 0) AND ("Service Delivery MOS". "Organizational hierarchy" "." " Zone' = ' @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[V_USER']} {} ")"

The "returns no line' I mentioned above resulted in all values being selected.

• What is compress = parameter y exp?

Hi all

Can anyone shed light on compress = parameter to y. Is it really compresses the backup?

The value default, COMPRESS = y, causes export table data to the Pavilion for the grouping in an initial measure during the import. If the extent sizes are large (for example, given the PCTINCREASE parameter), the allocated space will be larger than the space needed to store the data.

If you specify COMPRESS = n, export uses the current settings of storage, including the values of the size of the initial step and next step. The values of the parameters may be the values specified in CREATE TABLE or ALTER TABLE statements, or the values changed by the database system. For example, the value size measurement to address NEXT can be modified if the table grows and the PCTINCREASE parameter is nonzero

In analogy,.
Why you want to have all the books in the first tablet itself.
When it's OK to spread evenly across of all the shelves?
You want to save space?
Have you seen that in order to have all the books is the first Tablet
balooned OR grown in the fat.
before in the same place there is to say... 5 shelves. you have now 2 shelves
Furthermore, you haven't saved any space (General Ledger cash)? N °

intead now you have a large INTIAL shelf.
(above is just for example. Do NOT INTREPRIT these literally).

w.r.to oracle
Oracle calulates space currently allocated and used as size
the initial measurement of the object target.
consider
originally initial = 10 m = 5 m minextents = 6 next.
the segment size = 10 + (5 * 5) = 35 m
you export it with compress = y.
import it.
all extensions are merged into one.
you will see that,
initial = 35, next = 5 and minextents = 6.
segmentsize = 35 + (5 * 5) = 60 m
Now probably your import may fail, you cannot limit a segment of 60 m.
