Where is the telephone cable?

I just got my HP 610 Quad and I can't locat the port connection (modem) phone?  Any ideas?

Hello

Many machines now do not have moden port, yours is probably in the same boat and according to its specifications, it has only wireless, no other options, including cable LAN port.

http://www.shopping.HP.com/webapp/series/category/desktops/610q_series/3/computer_store

It has 2 mini PCI ports, you can buy something like that for your machine:

Kind regards.

  • Wireless kit PA3298U-1MPC and Satellite A30 - where is the antenna cable?

    Hello
    I have Toshiba Satellite A30 (part No. PSA33A - 87 M 34) which was bought in Australia.
I just bought the PA3298U-1MPC wireless connection kit a couple of days. The installation guide says I should connect two cables. But I can't find them. There are no cables in the compartment. There are no antennas in both wireless kit.
So the first question is if I should have antennas in wireless kit (I'm not sure that he has not lost the seller).
If these cables must be in Notepad then I need help to find them.
I thank very you much for any help.

    Hello

If the unit has a wireless antenna, the cables are usually there and visible immediately when the lid of the WLAN card is removed. From your description, I assume that your device is not ready WLAN.

  • coaxial cable of the adapter cable ethernet to the airport

where can I find a coaxial cable to the adapter cable ethernet to my Airport - have time warner line coming into the House but need to ethernet adapter to use the airport for router and modem

Unfortunately, a co - ax for Ethernet card will not help you.

The reason is that the Apple AirPort routers do not have a modem on board, you therefore need an external modem separated if you want the airport to be able to provide Internet access to clients connected.

Co - ax cable connects the modem. Then he use an Ethernet cable to connect the modem to the "O" WAN port on the router from the airport.

Check with Time Warner for recommended modems that are compatible with their service.

  • where is the bottleneck?

    Hello

I was wondering how fast a connection you guys got with your 4th gen apple tv? I'm maxed out to 52 Mbit/s wired wireless 25 respectively. Got a DOCSIS 3.0 modem and Airport express (set to auto) all on the same AV stand and connected with each other via cat5e. I'm supposed to receive 200 MB service according to Time Warner, but 52 Mbps is the best I can do. MacBook and iPod touch 5th gen get about 35 to 45 Mbit/s via the 802.11n wireless.

The nice lady of TWC swear up and down someone he checked the connection and got 198 Mbps. A check of youtube found another test of speed apple tv to 55 Mbps. Up to what speed the 4th gen apple tv can go? Now, I understand that the Airport express are limited to a speed of ethernet 100 Mbps as the cat5e cable but I get the barley half. So I'm curious to know where the bottleneck is occurring, or not at all. The TWC Lady might have been ripping off my channel too. In any case wanted to check here and get your thoughts. Thank you.

    What express model you have?

The Gen1 N Wireless is only capable of single band... but you can choose 2.4 ghz or 5 GHz...

The problem, Apple is limiting the speed of 2.4 ghz... always having in each router they do... It is not yet really N is N lite.

Even the latest Gen2 Express will never reach full wire speed at 2.4 ghz and you get that on 5 GHz in the same room... they are not designed for a complete job of router.

My recommend... Buy an extreme... or any other brand with ports gigabit... the Express is now and for always the right product. It is designed to make the extension for wireless and airplay etc... the router is not complete.

  • MS A30 - battery charging when I plug in the power cable

    Hello

I'm having some problems with (I think) on my A30 power management utility. When I am running on battery power and I plug in the power cable, the battery continues to discharge even if the laptop 'knows' that it runs on the power grid (ie the utility says "current generator: alternating current.") "Online, discharges: 82%. Strangely, if I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', then resume, she goes back to normal (i.e. working on current alternative, the battery charges).

It is true, I think that this began after I installed "PC Pitstop optimize Scan" www.pcpitstop.com (please, not conferences - I used a couple of their public services before and they were very good, so I thought it would be too much), so I guess it's some sort of configuration problem, but I have no idea where to go from here. I went through all the options on the power management utility, but they all look sensitive. Any ideas (other than do not install software stupid, doubtful)?

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

I experienced this behavior on my A30 where the system says it works on current alternative, but still drains the battery and stops eventually.

In my case the problem has proved to be a loose DC Jack that sometimes cuts off contact with the socket on the back of the laptop. This momentary loss of power DC seems to provoke the power management utility switch to battery power, even though the DC power is restored. The only way out of this situation is to Hibernate / restarting the laptop.

I think that it is a problem with the power supply subsystem in the laptop that does not react properly when it encounters a momentary loss of DC. Then the Toshiba power management utility is no longer responds correctly and switches to the battery power.

My only solution to this was to anchor the DC cable to the back of my A30 so that there is now no chance of the plug DC moving in its socket. This has proved to be very effective for my A30 and I've had no recurrence of the problem.

  • Re: Satellite U500 - 18K - where is the bag and the driver on the CD?

I just bought this laptop yesterday and when I read the manual book its has said that the package includes the bag and the driver on the CD but I had none of them, only the laptop and the power cable.

When I ask the man to store, he says, it's all... no other. Where can I ask questions about it? Or is it a common thing?

    Hello

Can you please tell us what page you found this information? This does not to me you get a bag and the driver on the CD with Notepad.
Can also explain what you mean with CD driver?

I checked the manual of my Satellite U500 and it shows the following information about the material delivered in package:
    + Toshiba Satellite U500 laptop PC +.
+ Universal AC adapter power cord + and
+ Battery (is preinstalled on the computer).
+ Cleaning cloth (is included with some models).

  • Screen black after using the HDMI cable, but still slightly visible screen

    Hei

I got a c850-10 X. Brand new. Used only for a week or two.

When I connected it to my TV (LG 42') with a HDMI cable it worked fine. But when I do not use my TV as a screen of my laptop is a black screen. Now I can only use a second display as screen alone because my laptop screen is black all the time. It is not completely black, I can still see my desktop slightly behind some sort of black cloud. If I make the screen brighter, I see a little more.

(It is not the "shear screen" or "Fn + F4" problem, my screen on the laptop is just black. No matter what I do)

I read a few tips and tricks on the internet for this problem, and I tried the switch off, remove the load cable and remove the battery and press the power button for 30-60 seconds before I put in the battery and then restart my laptop. But still no luck.

Why is this happening? Anyone know? What is a wire between the screen and the under part of the laptop?

A driver problem? Tried to uninstall the driver from the Intel card, but then the screen went APE, so I reinstalled it again.

Everything worked fine until I used my TV as a screen ekstra...

I have an older Toshiba laptop where the same problem apperied, but this laptop has served for about 4-5 years so I thought that I just get a new...

  • Satellite C660 - 115 WLan connection only works when the power cable is connected

    Hello

A few weeks ago, I bought a Satellite C660-115. I want to surf the internet anywhere in my house without any son/cables.
On the first day, I had this problem: when I disconnect _power_ cable, the wireless connection will stop working.

The Web page on my screen will always be there, but a new page loading is a problem.
It is sometimes useful to recharge (by pressing F5), - sometimes not. It is always useful to "ip address of repair", but not for long.

The only solution is to atach regardless of how much power the battery has still the power cord.
When I do, it is no problem whith the connection at all.
I went back to the store where I bought it, they related to their own wireless network and they have had the same problem after a few minutes. In the shop too attach the power cable solved the problem.

So the problem must be in my lap top, not in my network (modem or almost).

Doesn't this all seem familiar, and if so, how can I solve this?

I hope that my English is understandable, I live in Holland.
    Thanks in advance!

  • T460 touchpad responds liked when the Ethernet cable is plugged

    Hello

I bought a brand new ThinkPad T460 ten days ago and I noticed that when I plug in an Ethernet cable, the touchpad responds: just a few clicks and taps are missed, the movement is slow and and sometimes temporarily blocked. The touchpad comes alive again as soon as the Ethernet cable is disconnected. The trackpoint and trackpoint button above the touchpad are not affected, only the touchpad starts to misbehave.

This happens on both Windows and Linux, this isn't a problem of specific operating system. Furthermore, I checked to see if I am running the latest version of the BIOS, and I am. And there are no problems when you use the wireless adapter, but one of the reasons why I bought a ThinkPad was she has a port Ethernet, so not being able to use it would be extremely disappointing.

I checked to see if there are any IRQ conflicts for the touchpad, but could find none. The problem occurs when the computer is plugged in and when it runs on battery only. I also tried two different cables in the same router, each in a different router port, and the problem persisted.

I'm using the latest drivers for Windows 7 directly on the Lenovo site, and Arch Linux with kernel 4.4.5 - the Ethernet card is considered:

    e1000e [2.751703]: Intel® PRO/1000 3.2.6 - k network driver
    e1000e [2.751705]: Copyright (c) Intel Corporation 1999-2015.

Should I expect it is fixed with a BIOS update, or do I have to contact guarantee? It is unacceptable to live with it.

Tried in another House as promised, and the touchpad works very well with cable Ethernet is plugged. Also, before you leave the House with the problem, I discovered that the problem occurs only when the cable from my ISP switch is plugged into my router.

Respect my opinion that this machine deserves a stronger touchpad, but apparently is not due to lack of computer - under normal circumstances, there is no problem with the touchpad.

I'm stumped on how to proceed. Can I use a multimeter on the ISP switch from cable, but I'm not sure what to check (voltage? how does and between what son?). I'll also look into the suggestion of ferrite, I don't know where they are available - this thread is first heard of them.

Anyway, I wanted to just erase Lenovo name on it.

    Mr. Lenovo,

I used a new cable this morning. The player had made a backup in an hour and twenty minutes.

This is the first time I experienced a bad USB cable. Always a first time.

The only difference that I noticed this trial, has been anything but downloaded unit on 7 GBs in
