  You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  I suspect that you have installed the Realtek wired ethernet driver and Intel wifi driver. Only the driver for the hardware you have installed. In fact, the tag on the laptop won't tell you much. If you look to the top of the support page for your specific model, it will show the drivers for all the optional features available in this series of models. And Yes, the wireless cards can be region-specific. The regulation on radio communication varies around the world. That's why several wireless drivers are listed, some of which you can't use. Unless you are having problems just use office supplies Windows driver. • DisplayPort to DVI adapter is generic Non - PNP monitor

  I have a 6 week old want H8 - 1420 T C1U69AV #ABA, Windows 8 64 bit, 1 GB Radeon HD7670 and I am trying to connect two Dell 1905FP monitors. Each monitor works fine when it is connected to the DVI port. When I connect a monitor with an adapter HP DisplayPort / DVI dongle, the system reports it as a generic Non - PNP monitor and the screen remains black. I tried the adapter on another system, and it works fine.

  I've updated to the new '8.982.10.1800 Rev A January 3, 2013' driver on the HP site, but it did not help. The AMD drivers will not install because it is apparently a video of the ugly step-child card, not a true AMD. If I knew that I would have not purchased with the system.

  I have the original of the 1905FP CD when I bought it and it isn't a driver file on this subject (no need of one with XP). When the monitors work, they are each reported as a 1905FP.

  Thanks for the suggestion, but this has been resolved over the weekend. I was using a passive adapter Displayport to DVI. I replaced it with a Startech DP2DVIS active adapter Displayport to DVI and that did the trick.

• U2415 Display Port DVI adapter - no Signal

  Hi - I have a new U2415 that I'm not getting a signal on when I plug it into my office with a Display Port to DVI.  This is an active adapter that I bought on Amazon.  I have the adapter plugged into the port Display Port, then the cable DVI to my PC.  When I try to "detect" to the monitor displays under Windows 7 64 bit I don't see it in there.  I have 3 other monitors connected to my PC using a videocard ATI Port Quad (ALL DVI) and I know that all ports operate as I went around.

  When I plug the monitor in my book of Mack using the Display port cable accompanying the monitor works fine.  I also know the works of DVI cable very well as I tried it on another monitor.

  I also tried a CDM/DVI with another card and it does not work.

  I also downloaded the software Dell Display Manager but it gives an error saying: he needs a Dell monitor supported.

  Any ideas on why the Display port/DVI does not work?  Can someone suggest any other ideas.  I like to keep my current quad DVI video card port as they are costly to change.

  A PC DVI video card out can no longer convert to a DP monitor using this adapter. This adapter is designed to do the opposite.

  In my current position, I am the big fish in a small pond. I am the IT Manager in a Department of one. I need to grow up. I recently interviewed likely somewhere with a large IT Department. My RESUME and the initial interview gave a second interview, but I was not hired because I was weak in the areas necessary in a large company. Virtualization, SAN, etc.

  So, I tried to prove my mettle by acquiring a vmware cert. I don't have any experience with vmware 'virtually'. I need to take one of two courses and pass the certification exam. There is the VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage course OR VMware vSphere 4: fast track course.

  So that it would be better to prepare for the test? I'd better take the class 5 days?

  I put two classes, and I would say that the accelerated procedure is better preparation. There are topics mentioned in document examination Blueprint which do not appear to install set up to Manage, which are treated in the fast lane.

  According to responses, further study is usually recommended after your course, as is extra practice with the software...

  Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

  Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

  Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

  Protected IE - mode

  I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.

  Hello, simple question.

  I have a vSwitch with two portgroup VMKernel. The switch is connected with two network adapters. The failover policy is set at the level of Portgroup. PG1 has active nic1 and nic 2 in standby mode. PG2 nic 1 standby and active NIC 2. I want to know via cli or gui, command which nic is actually used for a portgroup at a specific time. Is this possible?
