White screen when loading Windows

original title: white screen

When I turned on my computer all I got was a white screen, (I don't know even how I got here!).  I have no toolbar, no start button, etc.  Help!

Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

Restore point:

http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.
    You second question on the laptop stop problems is known to me. Sometimes it happens on my laptop too. The LTCC is a part of the Norton antivirus application, which is still running in the background of the operating system.
    This strange box "close the program" might appear because this context process couldn t be closed automatically and so the operating system can not stop.
    Especially the new application installation might help you. But why don't you use Norton Antivirus? What makes the laptop very slow. I have used this app for a long time but now I use the freeware program called Antivir. Its free and in my opinion much better than the Norton Antivirus.
  • Wanted: White screen after 10 Windows Update - problem even when back in windows 8.1
    Hello
    I've updated to windows 10 and after a few hours, the main screen of my laptop went blank but my second monitor that I use with a HDMI cable still works.
    Here is a screenshot - one screen shows white and I'm typing this on screen 2 (continue below)
    I've updated my drivers in Device Manager but problem persists, here's my profile for screens and link to full
    (continue below photo)
    Complete specifications
    http://Speccy.Piriform.com/results/ZRXCgJC8x3PrsszxBodRVhn
    From my understanding the cables of the screen white screens LCD is still, this problem started after the update of Windows 10 so I'm reluctant to think it's that. My laptop is still under warranty but do not want to send in if he didn't need that I need for work.
    I found some information online saying that a restore Image will not work, but I have an and you can try it if need be.
    Other information found online says that my computer basically "forgot" that I have a main display to get out information in and make the screen and that's why my second screen works perfectly and me might be able to solve this problem with the start of the saving mode and try to fix it from there again I've never done this and don't want to cause more problems doing things like that.
    What could be the best way to go forward with this problem is to say. :
    * Is there a way to check the LCD cables without disassembling the computer. (Don't want to do that, and don't think it's the fault)
    * System Restore will help
    * Where / who should I contact for help in this regard
    Thanks for any help provided and please tell me if you need any other info to help. I really want to to fix the problem rather than take it to a guy or HP
    It's a bad screen. The upgrade of Windows 10 timing is a coincidence. You can continue to use it as a desktop computer with an external monitor forever.
  • White screen when I power on the computer
    I have Windows Vista. It began Monday, today is Thursday. I turn on computer tower as usual. Screen remains blank. tried turning off, would not turn off. (I know now from my neighbor to keep in touch during this problem) so I unplug a minute. all that happens is screen Black w/white letters saying: "windows has not start blah, blah, before we get to the end of reading, it comes down to, 'windows is loading file'. '. If I leave it alone for a while, only he's stuck in this mode. I turn off, then on. Finally, it loads windows. every day this same week thing. Today, it took almost an hour to power off before loading Windows. I only had a few months to this computer. I deleted the browser and when it was loading also did a system restore thing. Must I do and is it safe to make a PC Cleaner? AND what if I turn it off at night?
    Turn on your pc and immediately start pressing F8 (before the windows logo)
    Select Safe Mode and wait for it to load
    Then logon as the administrator account, if you have assigned a password, type it in, otherwise leave blank.
    Then click the Start Menu > then click run
    Then type cmd and press OK.
    Then type sfc/scannow , and then press enter
    He'll then fix system files automatically
    Then type chkdsk c: /f and press enter
    When it asks if you want to run the check disk the next time it boots, type o and press on Enter.
    The steps above will fix the missing or damaged files, and the disk check will scan the hard drive for problems in the partition automatically for you. That should do it.
    Hello
    I suggest you try these methods and check the status of the issue.
    Method 1:
    Keep the computer in a clean boot and check the status of the issue. If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem. Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service. After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software
  • Blank Screen when start Windows normally
    original title: white screen
    I can only run Vista in Mode without failure. When I run normally, I get a blank with a slider screen once I connect. Any suggestions?
    Hello
    1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode
    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
    Windows Vista
    Using the F8 method:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
  • How to remove white screen when you navigate from one page to another in Webworks BB?
    Hi all
    I have developed a web application for Blackberry using Blackberry webworks SDK... I created the package using emulator Ripple... In that when you navigate from one page to another page... coming white screen... How to remove this white screen... and instead of the definition of the loading screen in web application... Please me... Thank you very much in advance...
    With respect,
    Marimuthu_P
    normally it is not a white screen to navigate. You can view data-bb-effect as "bland" for the transition to the screen:
    https://github.com/BlackBerry/bbUI.js/wiki/screens
    second thing, is to use the activity indicator for loading (pending content):
  • I get a white screen when I try to update the Adobe (11.0.12.18) plugin for Firefox
    Firefox tells me that my plugin is obsolete and should be updated. However, this happens automatically, despite all my settings, and when I update manually I'm left with a blank screen for the Adobe Download Manager. Clearly, I'm not the only one and I had the same problem with Flash Player. I solved that by a secret link in a secret location on the webesite of Adobe, but I've had no luck finding a link that actually works for the reader. I go through all the normal steps to end up with a white screen. I think it takes the window where I accept the terms and click on initialize or something.
    You need a link that actually works instead of the standard that does not work? And please do not propose solutions where I do programming or rewrite the code and files. Also, I'm not ready to reinstall the whole program from scratch, because I'll lose completely with no way to ever resume. It is impossible that Firefox and Adobe cannot work together. Can he?
    I think I solved the problem Flash through a link provided by a Chris (?) about the notes of launch update or something. And it took me four hours to solve this problem... So far, I spent an hour on not to find a solution to the upgrade of my outdated plugin for the reader.
    Sincerely frustrated
    Full (offline) installers for Adobe/Acrobat Reader can be found at http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    However, not every version comes with a complete Installer, for example, 11.0.12 is only a patch.
    If you are prompted for a driver to support the hard drive during the installation of Windows? It's because the Manager of storage on this laptop isn't RAID, AHCI and Windows 7 isn't this RAID driver available on the installation disc. But fear not only intel makes the driver available here:
    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/24779/Intel-rapid-storage-technology-Intel-RST-RAID-driver
    You need the F6 driver for 32 or 64 bit one correct installation that you do.  If 64-bit, you must f6flpy-x 64.zip. These are compressed files (.zip). Download the .zip to a different computer and extract the .zip to a USB key and when you reach him point the Windows installation when it is asked for a driver, navigate to the location where the files were extracted from the thumb drive. This should allow you to proceed with the Windows installation.
  • Window remains white screen after starting windows screen. the system hangs after Mup.sys on safe mode
    The title pretty much everything said.
    The problem occurred on a fault that Dell Vostro 2510 with the additional option should only do the downgrade of Win Xp (from Vista).  As noted, on normal startup, the system will remain in a blank screen after the Windows Xp "loading" screen.  And on safe mode, it will join Mup.sys and then hang there.
    The closest thing that I got from a web search was a thread in forum saying that the official info from Microsoft was that it was a question of Win Xp/motherboard (http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31874/?o=40 halfway to a post by Bobb Fwed).  The poster provided no link, so I don't know how official his info was really.
  • Microsoft Internet Keyboard stops working when loading Windows XP when!
    My wired Microsoft Internet Keyboard works fine most of the time.  Every now and then, however, when I load Windows, the lights go out on the keyboard and it no longer responds.  To fix this, I have to uninstall it in the Device Manager, then restart.  Then, the keyboard works fine.
    I have installed Intellitype Pro and a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 with Intellipoint.  Oddly, in the Device Manager, there are two keyboard drivers display - one for a standard Microsoft PS/2 keyboard and the other for a Microsoft USB dual receiver wireless keyboard (that I never installed).  Can someone tell me how to solve this problem continuously please?
    What happens if you disable "Microsoft USB double receiver Wireless Keyboard?
    If you've never tried, simply, right click, click on disable and try a reboot.
