  • Outline of the page clipping mask

    Hello

    I'm working with a file that was given to me by someone and I'm unable to navigate the clipping masks - one in particular.

    Around the edge of the page is an object which is invisible, but is highlighted with a blue area when I go over it.  It is exactly at the edge of the page.  If I click and drag, all the objects in the file move together, so it seems that it is all a group.  However, the right click menu has release/isolate clipping mask options, so I guess it's a clipping mask.  When I isolate and study objects (literally all other objects in the document) I see that there are to many small clipping masks used to "reframe" the images - I can see clearly how these clipping masks are used.  When I release the large external clipping mask, all of the capture of small masks are released (not what I want!).  When I go to object > clipping mask > Edit content, all objects in the document become selected, as in isolation mode, even if most of the objects don't have/all cut.

    So what is this thing for?  I want to be able to work with the objects inside this large group clipping mask (without having to click in the insulation everytime mode), but I can't get rid of it without destroying the small clipping masks, which I want to keep intact.

    I've also seen these clipping masks full page when editing pdf outputs R and Matlab.  In these cases I have just release all because all masks clipping in these situations are foreign.  I just mention this to show that the grouping full-page cutting masks seem to be something that is commonly used.  What is the purpose?

    Thanks for the tips!

    Use the Panel layer to get rid of him.

  • Remove the attached clip and reach an image on a main movie

    I have attached a Clip on a hand film wthi courthouse:

    exit_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fexit, false, 0, true);

    function fexit(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    var mc:alert_mc = new alert_mc();

    MC.x = 320;

    MC.y = 210;

    addChild (mc);

    }

    I need to main movie, go to section 6 and remove the attached clip when I click on the yep_btn button. The code on the attached video is:

    nope_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, cancelunloadexitb);

    yep_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, unloadexitb);

    function cancelunloadexitb(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    var snd:sound1 = new sound1();

    SND. Play();

    this.parent.removeChild (this);

    }

    function unloadexitb(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    var snd:sound1 = new sound1();

    SND. Play();

    I NEED de CODE HERE

    }

    function errorF(e:IOErrorEvent):void {}

    trace (e);

    }

    Any ideas?

    If this code is inside the alert_mc object, then you can try...

    function unloadexitb(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    var snd:sound1 = new sound1();

    SND. Play();

    MovieClip (parent) .gotoAndStop (6).

    MovieClip (parent) .removeChild (this);

    }

    Another way to do would be to have just the alert_mc dispatches an event you assign a listener for the most part, and have the handler function main event for dealing with the listener with the removal of the child and moving on his own script.

  • Why is frequently around logos clipping masks?

    I've never really understood this, but often when I download or receive a logo for a company and open the file in Illustrator, there's a clipping mask that the work is grouped in.

    Why is this? I don't understand the point of containing the work of logo in a clipping mask... every time I worked on the logos I just group the elements at the end and save it as is.

    What Miss me?

    I found that more often, it means that somewhere down the line the logo has been registered in the form (and then open of) a PDF file without "Preserve Illustrator editing capabilities" checked. Clipping maske is the initial size of the art Commission.

  • How to remove the multiple clipping mask

    Is there a way to remove the clipping mask all in a file?  We are sometimes really screwed up in work.  Some have them dozens of clipping masks that DO nothing.  Y at - it a shortcut to get rid of all these rather than choosing each?

    Select > object > cutting masks

  • Why won t the last reader to read the form?

    Why won t read this registration form WILL, ((( https://www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010ez/Form/1010ez.pdf ))) site WILL continues to tell me that my read ADOBE is obsolete, and I the last installed?

    In fact, I have to disagree with Colin Holgate. The file seems file. It's a very clever and very complicated form.

    The problem is, and you are one (or two) countless who touched it: it is not enough to have installed the Adobe Reader. You must also USE it.

    This message is typical, if you use a browser that reads PDF files without using the Adobe Reader software. Most browsers now cela, then save the PDF file on your computer and open in Adobe Reader (Acrobat Reader) from there.

  • How do I cancel the application clipping mask permanently,

    Hello

    I hope someone can help me.

    I am having trouble with adjustment layers.

    I made a choice I want to brighten up a bit, and then I make a selection in the appropriate field, and then choose "curves" in the adjustmenlayers to inform the selected area.

    I also want to remove some red, only that chosen area, and then I choose "colorbalance" and I "alt-click on" between two layers to adjust only the desired area and whole picture, and it shows by a small 'broken arrow' he uses the previous layer to create clipping mask.

    And it works just great!

    But no more!

    Because now it suddenly applies this clippingmask - without me permannetly "alt-click". So now when I choose 'curved' the little broken arrow is here! And that bothers me big time, because I can't figure out how to make it stop. I know I can "right click" and click on "version clippingmask" but my point is, I don't want to do that, I want to stop it, unless I said, by "alt-click on ' betwwen the layers.

    I browes severeal forums, and the only thing I can find is how to make the clippingmask, not how to cancel it (Undo permanently, that is...)

    He owes me a sort of parameters... But I can't understand it. Does somebode please help me

    Thank you

  • Why is - all the individual clips in the order settles instead of simply the sequence?

    Whenever I create a project in Adobe premiere pro CC14 I first see my project calendar, and then I create new sequences as Intro, Montage and credits.

    In each sequence I assembled the clips, edit and cut etc. Finally I place all the sequnces on project timeline in order I would like to and finish my video.

    Today, something had changed for me. When you try to move a sequence in the timeline of the project he moved ALL the individual clips in the sequence.
    I want the sequence to look like a single element in the timeline of the project. Hope this will make sence.

    I don't know for someone with experience, it is an easy solution, but for me, I'm afraid that's not. Can someone explain to me what I have to do? I want to understand what happened.

    Grateful for any help I can get.

    Click on the left most icon under the sequence timecode.  Who determines if sequences come in a nest, or as the original clips.

  • Firefox is really slow to open the first tab, after that I can open as many tabs as I want to instantly. Why won't the first tab open instantly?

    Tried to reinstall firefox, no anti-virus program, updating, actually I have no program, no plugins, no extension. Firefox has added to the windows firewall that is allowed to pass from the list (which I never did with my vista machine) computer brand new i5 quad core 3.6 khz with windows 8.1 all drivers are up to date. He did take 2 weeks to get 8.1 windows finally installed without locking up and having to reinstall for the 15th time by disabling all Microsoft built in spyware. She was semi stable for 2 days now. When I install kaspersky AV, it adds another couple minutes to launch firefox.

    I was really excited about my new suppose to be faster computer but my 10 year old Q6600 2.4khz with vista is way faster and easier to use. I know I can't be the only one in the world to have this problem. I've been all over the internet and I see all the problems people are having with windows 8.1. I've got invitation to upgrade to windows 10 but that just locks up the computer again. Someone, anyone please HELP!

    Solved it myself I think. The computer crashed again, so I took it back to return or repair. It turns out that the motherboard Asus has had an intermittent short circuit. Now, firefox opens perhaps a fraction of a second faster than my vista machine. Beautiful, I touch wood. Thanks to Fred for the answer to my problem. Good luck to all and good hike!

  • Why won't the Web sites I use, myfrenchlab, facebook, no charge?

    This happened for two days. On facebook, my chat bar never loads. He said only "loading". When I try to click on the button of my message, nothing ever happens. When I try to access a page that I "liked" and enter a contest in a tab, it never loads. It charge very well three days ago. And now, with myfrenchlab.com, I try to open my e-book, and it never opens. What opens is that a blank web page is open. This only happens on firefox, I use the most up-to-date firefox and Mac 10.6.8

    It sounds like you have a problem with one of your add-on/installed extensions. To check just start Firefox in safe mode and disable all add-ons/extensions, then try to load the sites that you have problems with to check if get or do not now load correctly. If sites are loading properly, enable your add-ons/extensions again one by one each individual up to that you have a problem to verify the problem add-on/extension.

  • Why the clipping masks are made for a Place/Embed?

    Illustrator CS6 (all updates)

    I have a simple and clean logo with a couple of transparent traces (letters like the 'e', 'A').  There is no clipping paths.  Everything works very well in this file, if I save it, re - open and edit, etc..

    If I have 'Place' or drag this file in a brand new, delete the file and then 'Embed' work, it creates 2 the size of the artboard clipping masks.  More importantly, it messes up the transparent traces so that I have to select them and use the shape mode "Unite" so that it can work properly.  I see this when trying to add a line to the letters... the race is broken until I use the button on the unit.  Even undo the compound path and redo it does not work.  In the image as an attachment, you can see how a place is broken, as well as the way in which 'inside' or 'outside' is available for embedded version.

    What gives?

    Thank you

    Eric

    When you drag a. HAVE file and drop it onto an open. File to HAVE in Illustrator, which is equivalent to the file > Place, he became a partner. You cannot change the contents of the files linked directly because they are supposed to be changed out and update when changed. Thus, Illustrator uses the means to isolate the linked file to edit its content and provide a means for the linking functionality. These resources are provided by 'create a file PDF Compatible file' option when you save the. File to HAVE it. If you save a. File without this option and try to use it as a link, you will get this weird text instead. With this option checked, you will be able to use the file as a link in another. File to HAVE it.  Also keep in mind that if you embed a linked file it will equal not copying a file open. Coating can change the objects of no basic appearance. For example if the linked file has envelope distort, points will result in the expansion of the envelope that will produce a clipping mask group.

  • Seamless pattern - using the images inlaid with clipping masks

    Hi forum,

    We struggle a little create a seemless repeating the pattern that includes the images integrated with cutting applied masks.

    Our model is a 550x550mm black square with various embedded inserted on top. All these images have the applied clipping mask to hide unwanted areas.

    These images are placed so that they create a pattern repeated seamless and that includes areas that overlap instead.

    Once we create a nuance of this model the repeatable area becomes too large because it contains unwanted areas hidden by the clipping masks.

    Because the reproducible area is now too large, it is actually not repetitive.

    We tried various things in order to solve this problem. Pathfinder/harvest to remove unwanted areas from images etc.

    None of them worked pretty well.

    We of livetracing just the images, but the complexity is not an option.

    Really we do our 'cut' in Photoshop or you know tricks of fantasy for problems of this kind?

    Appreaciate your insight

    Kenneth

    Kenneth,

    Try the destructive Act, with the selected clipping mask:

    (1) in the transparency palette/Panel drop-down list choose anything but Normal (Multiply is fine),

    (2) object > flatten transparency, just keep the defaults including 100% vector,.

    (3) thrill.

    This should reduce the size of the Clipping Path bounding box.

  • Clipping Mask produces jagged lines

    Why is it sometimes a clipping mask product jagged lines? I know not if there is a dark background and a session with a light above it, what is happening. is there a solution to clear this out when you apply a mask? You can see in the screenshot I circled where you see jagged lines and in the layers palette, you can see the clipping mask object. If someone can explain to me, I would appeciate it.

    gradientmush,

    But if it behaves like a clipping mask, what is the difference between the two then to have these two features?

    There are differences in behavior, but in many cases, can be used, and it seems that Opcity mask is not the issue.

    You can use them as opposites: the clipping mask to show what is behind him, the opacity mask to show that this is not.

    This means that paths to use are complementary. If want to show part of a target object that is behind a circle, you can:

    (1) use this circle as a Clipping Path in a clipping mask, or

    (2) create a rectangle behind the circle big enough to cover the entire target object and cut out the circle of him creating a compound path (object > compound path > Make or Pathfinder > less before) and allows to hide what is outside the circular hole.

    You can use white or black for the object used for the opacity mask and mask invert checked or ticked. It is always simple/more safe to use white is easier because it is unambiguous (a black RGB is very good because it is R = G = B = 0, but in CMYK mode, you must have = M = Y = K = 100).
