Wide screen resolution

original title: help

everything on my pc is too large, I do not change the settings and I can't do a system restore

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

Then:

Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

See you soon.

  • The PA3508E-1PRP Port Replicator supports wide screen resolutions?

    Hi all

I think to buy a Tecra M9 - 14 FT 7800 (with the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 130 M - 128 MB graphics card) - will, in combination with the Replicator to ports Express PA3508E-1PRP let me fully to use an external monitor with a resolution widescreen native 1680 x 1050 over DVI?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben.

    Hello Ben

Unfortunately I can't give you the exact answer, but I'm a bit skeptical about it. As much as I know Port Replicatior has no influence on the signal because the signal from the laptop will just looped through. The question is what resolutions on external screen will be supported by the graphics card for s laptop.

IN the document s user Tecra M9 manuals I found track information: as the operation of the port of all monitors DVI (Digital Video Interface) could not be confirmed, some matte DVI monitors will not work correctly.

In any case, as far as I know as Tecra M9 comes with Intel 965 GM graphics card and we're working on how to get the resolution widescreen 1680 x 1050 on external display.

If you need help with this please write again.

  • How to activate the resolution wide screen to external monitor on Equium A60?

    Hello

I had an Equium A60 with an ATI Radion 7000 mobility grahpics chip in it. Earlier the LCD is dead and has decided to use an external monitor rather than replace it. However, the external monitor is a monitor 22 '' widescreen computer does not provide a display suitable for resolution. Is it possible to update the graphics driver to provide the wide screen formats. I looked on the toshiba updates, but there is nothing new there, and ATI are not ready to support offer it on a laptop.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can't choose your preferred resolution because the graphics driver does not support.
Eventually the 3rd party driver support your favorite display resolution, but to be honest I wouldn't use these drivers because it could cause serious difficulties for laptop.
The point is that these 3 third-party drivers are untested and not certified by Toshiba.
Therefore, the use is at your own risk.

  • How to activate the resolutions of wide screen on Satellite Pro A10

    Hello

I looked through various positions through the forums, but have not found how to activate the wide screen on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 resolutions.
The 2 following wires offer partial answers:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19570
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19677

The solution in the 2nd post won't work because the A10 has an Intel graphics card, not a Nvidia. He suggested also, modify the INF of the graphics driver, but to extract the driver (SA10B2DP.exe) file includes an installer, but no INF.

Just look to see if anyone has any advice on how to activate the resolutions such as 1440 x 900 or 1680 x 1050.

    Thank you

    Hello

you mean on the external screen, Don t you? If you have an intel chipset graphic why Don t you download the drivers from the website of intel.
Maybe it offers a resolution of the external display.

I don't know if the res external can be set to widescreen on this chipset as the drivers are somewhat limited...
Can you describe what monitor you have and how you connect it to your machine. (d-sub or DVI)?

    Would appreciate some reactions :)

  • Cannot set resolution wide screen on Satellite A100

I have a Hanns G HG216D 22 "(visible de 21,6")) LCD display external, who hails from WSXGA (1680 x 1050) and is horrible to other resolutions. "
I can't select the correct resolution in XP or Vista (I know, because having failed I restored (clean install of authentic Pro with SP2 disc) XP then failed on XP used a Vista Business Upgrade disc to try Vista.)
    But nothing helps: (.)

The laptop is a Toshiba A100 PSAA8 with a graphics processor Intel 945 G Chipset.

    Here's what I've tried:

There is a driver on the disk of the specifically labeled monitor as for Vista 32-bit, so I used the disc have... 'trick' via Device Manager to force Vista to use this INF file, I tried adding EDID (or was - this CSD, something like that) data to the pilot (after driving backward before re - apply incase she thought it was the same driver), I tried PowerStrip, although I'm not familiar with it, 99% some it work well (, one of the first things I tried was using the specially created driver for this chipset that is designed to solve this problem very issue (http://www.Intel.com/support/Graphics/SB/CS-028366.htm)), any ideas?

The LCD has DDC2 and activated but EnTech MonInfo cannot get any data from it. I think I should go back to Linux; never had a technical problem I can't solve there (only DRM related issues, etc.), only problem I use this machine for work and don't mind using virtualization for some things but not for "critical to pay my rent" stuff!

I don't have another machine to test the screen either, as my sister lost with my laptop alternative.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

    Hey Buddy,

Then I read a little in some forums on your question. The first question is: have you updated your BIOS? It's really important because many users in the forums Ubuntu has reported that, after that an updated bios updated widescreen stuff work. Since the you´re works with Vista, I would say firstly you update your BIOS, remove all drivers display with 'Driver Cleaner Pro' and then try the drivers from the website of intel again (as an especially for this wide screen problem)

Maybe it works, I confused why it doesn't since this chipset is designed to pull many of the higher resolutions and even all res widescreen 1680 x 1050 and 1440 x 900.

Just give a short answer on your situation. :)

    Welcome them

I have a new wide screen LCD TV with a VGA port, I connected this with my old Satellite 5205-s505 via the VGA port as the second screen. But it displays 'unsupport signal' on the TV screen.

    Can someone have the answer.
    Thanks anyway.

    Hey,.

I think that it s according to the external display what resolutions it supports.
Normally, your computer user manual laptop, you will find a list of the supported screen resolutions and you should check this!

I also recommend to install the last page of Toshiba display driver.

  • Satellite A200-1AX: Win7 has very limited screen resolution

?:| Can someone help me please?

I have a SCREEN RESOLUTION (1280 x 800) after that I went to w7, before I can get about 1600 x 1280 when I was in very limited vista. I lost my vista recovery disk so I decided to go with w7, but after that I did some installations/updates to update for all my drivers again my screen resolution gives me the size 1280 x 800 maximum.
Anyone? Please? I need your suggestions...

    -J' have a Satellite A200 1AX (recently moved from vista to w7)
    -Screen: 15.4 "
-My graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600.
-I just downloaded the latest driver from ATI.

Please tell me what I'll do.
    Thanks in advance guys...: D
    Jeje

    > Until I can get around 1600 x 1280 when I was in vista
    I can't believe that why?
Because the screen internal 15.4 "WIDE XGA supports a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800.
Max which is possible on the internal display, and as a result, you will not be able to choose a higher resolution on the internal display.

The resolution of the external display may be higher but not the resolution of the screen internal.

    Hello

The question is what that jack the external display supports?
I think that you can connect each external monitor, but you must be sure that the laptop will support the cable from the laptop.
In addition, the resolution of the screen may be different. As far as I can remember that some screen resolutions are not listed in the properties of the graphics card. But I think that you don't need to use the resolution of the screen exactly one.

I recommend taking the laptop at the dealership to monitor and its connection. You can check the output quality of monitor and what resolutions are available and taken care of. I think that testing before buying something are very useful.

  • T510 Screen Resolution

I have a new Thinkpad T510 with wide screen of 15.6 inches. It seems that the max resolution is 1366 x 768, which leaves all too big. Is there a way to increase the resolution, and which would be a good resolution for this monitor size?

The maximum resolution is hardware limited. (Excluding some hacks driver.)

If you have a 1366 x 768 Panel, then the highest you can go is 1366 x 768.
If you want more, you have to exchange the material.

The T510 can be fitted with a screen LCD 1600 x 900 and 1920 x 1080. So if you order the resolution Panel higher when you guessed it, then you're out of luck unless you want to replace yourself and void your warranty.

  • In any case to change the splash screen resolution?

Nope - the splash screen uses the lowest possible resolution so that it will show regardless of monitor, card used graphic, video system or TV.  This is basically the "infallible" mode

  • Wide screen is not fully used (Win XP, Service Pack 3)

Bought a Monitor wide screen LCD (Asus VE276Q) to replace my existing LCD display.  RGA is an entry.

Problem: The wide screen is not fully used.

Symptom: When starting, during Win XP Welcome screen, it seems that takes full advantage of the wide screen.

But when he moved to the office (or a web page), about 3 inches on the left and right sides are not used.

What I tried: play with the buttons on the monitor, but may not have to work.

Question: How can I get Win XP to fully use the display on the big screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Screen resolution continues to change

For the past few days Vista continues to change my screen resolution of 800 x 600 at startup, logon, to wake up or screen saver.  Normal resolution for my monitor is 1680 by 1050.  There are a few reboots to recover Vista decision, that I need a 800 by 600 screen.

I downloaded and installed the latest nvidia driver for my card.  Problem persists.
I spent my primary monitor with an old crt monitor.  Problem persists.
I had the video card with another.  Problem persists.
I looked in the device to a second monitor or a default monitor Manager.  There is no such animal.  It shows a monitor and map suitable and the pilot.  I checked the system startup to ensure that the basic video option has not been verified.

Everything in searching for a reason for my resolution to 800 by 600 is under personalization > display settings.  It shows two options of the monitor.  The correct 1. HP w2007 LCD Monitor wide on NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT at 1680 by 1050.  It also shows the 2. (By default the monitor) on NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT with all of the resolution to 800 x 600.  The true monitor is defined as main display not non-existent default monitor.

This second option will not appear under the NVIDIA Control Panel for the properties of the card or in the Device Manager, but for some reason any, whenever a connection is required the display switches to 800 by 600.

Watch Google search that I'm not the only one with this problem, but none of the suggestions worked.  There is no dish scaling option in Nvidia Control Panel.  Switching video cards not disable TMM has not solved the problem.

I am at a loss, any suggestions?

It was right on the money.  Restarting the services one at the time and reconsignation in I took the problem to an .avi Divx for Windows Media Player codec.

Good stuff, thanks for the help.

  • Type of incorrect monitor selected by Vista on new wide screen

Not sure if it's category material or configuration.   I changed a conventional monitor widescreen Acer F22.  I can't set the correct resolution.  Device Manager indicates that a generic PNP and Nvidia Control Panel it's a Dell 1702.  Acer does not available Vista driver then, how can I change the type of monitor for a wide screen with the correct resolution capabilities?

    Thank you

    Hi clydex2,

    • You try to adjust the resolution via the Nvidia Control Panel or through the Vista display settings?
    • What type of monitor displayed in display settings?
    • What is the highest resolution that you are able to select this screen?

If you had loaded a driver Acer and were able to set the resolution, then you can try to back the driver after that update.

    1. Right-click on the device and go to Properties
    2. Select the driver tab
    3. Select restore driver
