• 16-bit in Lightroom for Windows printing

  According to a video of Lightroom 2 of NAPP on printing, Scott Kelby says 16-bit output is only available if you have OSX Leopard because it is a feature of the operating system, and Windows doesn't support 16-bit printing. However, Canon provides a Photoshop plugin with the iPF5100 printer that supports 16-bit output regardless of the operating system in use. So, I'm just curious as to why Lightroom supports outputs 16-bit for Windows, but the fact of Photoshop?  Or am I missing something?

  I also asked the question to the answers.microsoft.com if Windows 7 must support 16-bit printing and Microsoft MVP says "If a 16-bit print driver is created for the printer, 7 won't stop doing that." How an image is converted to print is not a limitation of the BONE. The printer driver does. "So who am I to believe?  I imagine that if Windows was capable of 16-bit printing output then Adobe would support it on the Windows platform, right?  So if someone from Adobe can answer this question, I would be very happy.

  To activate the scan of the computer, see the procedure below:

  Restart devices and check the settings of scanning driver

  Restart the computer and the printer can restore the connection scan options analysis, and then check the settings for scanning on the Mac.

  1. Turn the printer off.

  2. Make sure that the printer power cord connects directly to an electrical outlet and not by a limiter the power strip or surge protector.

  3. Close all programs currently running on your computer, and then shut down the computer.
