  Unable to connect to the server

  Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server that hosts the content you want to listen to. You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

If you typed an address Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in the open URL dialog box, verify that the file name is spelled correctly and that the path to the file is correct, and then try again. If you clicked a link on a Web page, the link isn't valid.

  • The server is not available (for example, the server is busy or not online). Try again later.

  • For Windows Media Player proxy server settings are not configured correctly. Verify that your proxy server settings are correct.

  3 have you tried to play a different CD or DVD?
  4. what happens when you play the same DVD on another computer?

  5. for how long have you been faced with this problem?

  6. the DVD folder that you are trying to play supported by the windows media player is it?
  7. What is the type of DVD that you try to play?

To see if it was the m drive, I tried to burn audio files to four separate discs and each of them had the error message. The discs are brand new and have no information on them.   I have a previous version of Flash player while trying to update. The installation doesn't make it beyond 5% before saying "connection error".   This can happen if you mix 32-bit and 64-bit. There are two ODBC Control Panel in Windows 7:
  -64-bit, one is that of the Panel
  -the 32 bit one is c:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe

  Because you use an Oracle 64-bit driver, you must use the 64-bit ODBC Administrator and 64-bit applications. If you try to use this ODBC connection with a 32-bit application, you will need to use the 32-bit ODBC (and the driver Oracle 32-bit).

  In addition to that, if I go to the system DSN tab and tried to test the connection it gives me an error:
  1. cannot connect SQLState = 08004 [Oracle] [ODBC] [Ora] ORA-12154: TNS: can not solved the specified identifier.

  Well it actually means that it loads correctly, Oracle is something. You must add an entry for the server you want to connect in tnsnames.ora, located in the folder \network\admin inside your Oracle client installation. Because it looks like someone else set up the server that you want to connect, your DBA should be able to provide the information that is written to the file.

  That's all using the 11g ODBC driver (but I have similar connects using the DataDirect driver).
  
  I don't know what I can do. I tried the component with other ODBC connections (to MS Access) and it worked without problem, so I think it has something to do with the Oracle ODBC connection. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

  I have Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, which is an upgrade of Vista Business 64-bit.
  I have the following problem when you try to install an ODBC connection (* mdb).
  When I run odbcad32.exe from the SysWOW64 directory and try to install the 32-bit driver MS Access, I get the following error message:
  "The routines of installation for the Microsoft Access driver (* mdb) ODBC driver could not be found." Please reinstall the driver.
  And then "component not found in the registry.
  Obviously something is missing. I watched the ODBC entries in the registry, but they are empty. Can someone advise me on how to solve this problem.
  Any help appreciated.

  I solved this problem by reinstalling the operating system.

  I also used the option to keep my programs and settings.

  I am creating the rules SQL files in Essbase Administration Console.

  When I press the OK/recover button in open SQL data source window I get this error:

  When I test the ODBC connection in Windows administrative tools > Data Sources (ODBC) > system DSN, it works correctly. but in open SQL error there.

  Create the DSN using DataDirect Oracle Wire Protocol 7.0 in (System DSN) ODBC administrators and test the connection of the Rules file. It will work.

  'group' is one word reserved in ASE and most other DBMS. You can probably escape, but it is best to never use the reserved words in tables/columns.
