Windows 7 does not recognize the USB Drive flash drive

When I plug my genx its recognized as unknown device 16 GB flash drive, I tried to uninstall the driver and then reinsert the flash but the problem still exists, I guess my computer needs driver Flash

Device status:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Thanks for your reply, I tried these steps and the same error exists. I think that there is a failure on my device and can be no repair.

  • Install Windows 8 does not recognize the system drive

I built a new machine (chart below). Since this is a new machine and not an upgrade, I bought Win 8 Pro 64 bit OEM to do a clean install. The SSD is my system disk that Windows 8 will be installed. Four data drives are mirrored, two for the other two. Construction went perfectly. The BIOS recognizes all six disks: 1 SSD, 4 HDD, 1 DVD.

Insert and boot the disk of Windows 8. Accept the EULA, enter the product key. Arriving at the page "Where do you want to install Windows?", only four hard disks are listed. The SSD (installation to go) is not found by Win 8. ??? I tried to change ports SATA, cables, power supply - no difference. For each new change of hardware, the BIOS still sees everything. This isn't a hardware problem.

The question remains: why the installation of Windows 8 does not recognize the SSD drive. All five disks are on AHCI. I'm not in RAID.

I spoke with crucial technical support of all (manufacturer of the SSD). They were also surprised that the drive does not appear in the list.

Does anyone have a solution? I spent all the money on hardware, as well as the new version of Windows and I cannot install it.

This is the real kick in the teeth: Microsoft won't support me. The OEM of Windows 8 version is the same as manufacturers, such as Dell or HP. Support told me I had the support of the manufacturer. HA! I am the manufacturer. Either that or upgrade from an earlier version of Windows. This means that any that a new construction machine will get ZERO assumption of Microsoft. All just great.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (full version) - OEM

The DSS must be LOW LEVEL FORMATE.

Once, there may be no other [HDDs] not connected to the SATA ports.

    Install Windows 8 Pro now.

  • Qosmio F30 - 112 - Windows XP does not recognize the HARD drive

    Hello.

    I have a Qosmio F30-112.
I tried to install the Windows XP Professional instead of the Media Center edition.
However, during the execution of the installer, my laptop does not recognize the hard drive. Therefore, the installation cannot continue.

I thought it might be a problem of corruption with my laptop and reinstalled Media Center Edition successfully.
But when I try to install XP Professional it always gives me the same error.

Suggestions for the configuration of the BIOS or solutions for why this is happening?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Just a question:
You are looking for in this forum for other similar issues with regard to the installation of Win XP and lack HARD drive? I doubt

The fact is that your notebook has a SATA controller and you need a SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) driver.

You should have a look here in this doc from Toshiba:
[How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP installation CD | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm]

  • Lost in car-Windows xp does not recognize the slave drive

I do reinstall xp home, no problem when I did the system does not recognize the slave drive I have.  As far as I can tell that it's all hooked up correctly.  When I go into disk management it does not recognize the drive either.  All of the suggestions.

    Hi james.williams,

    1. How is the drive connected to the computer?
    2. What is the number of the brand and model of the player?

I suggest that you check the jumper settings and make sure that the jumpers are correctly positioned.

Make sure they are in the two master/slave jumper and not cable select.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize the optical drive.

My Optiplex 3010 refuses to recognize the drive R/WDVD.  It used to, but now does not work.  It does not appear on the list of Windows Explorer of connected disk devices, and on Device Manager, it has a yellow "!" next to it, showing the existence of some kind of conflict.

Dell technician you changed every piece of hardware in the system, but there is no change.

It is recommended to reload the operating system, but I'm not sure that's possible when the optical drive, which emerges my backup does not work. ?

I tried the system restore, but there are only a few recent brand-places and this problem is ongoing for longer than this.

So, is it possible to restore the operating system to health short to start all over?

I tried your suggestion to see if the drive is recognized by the BIOS, and it is.  So, as you say, it's a Windows problem (no surprise).

The thing that I was worried about most is having to reload the OS of my backup restore DVD disk using a disk drive does not work.  But, you pointed out that if the BIOS recognizes the drive, the disc should be readable.

I just have to devote myself a day or two to reload all my programs applications to deal with another failure of a Microsoft OS to steel.  Grrr!   :- (

  • Windows 7 does not recognize the USB 32 GB

I have a Sandisk Cruzer 32 GB USB stick key, as I would like to transfer a single file of 9 GB between my two laptops.

The memory stick appears and works very well on a laptop (Acer) - while working.  However it does not appear on my other laptop (Compaq) after plugging him.  Laptop computers are Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, both use the NTFS system and the memory stick was formatted in this way also.

I used the disk on the Compaq Management and (after a while) the memory stick appears.  In order to avoid any conflict between the drive letters, I have re-assigned to the M: drive and that seemed to work.  However, it does not ALWAYS appear in the Windows Explorer, so I can't transfer any files to it!

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Hello Stephen,

When looking for hard drives, USB flash drives or CDs and readers of DVD using Windows Explorer, you may notice that some readers are not in Windows Explorer or the drive may disappear after a short period, or when Windows resumes or Hibernation. This may be caused by the following:

    • Your player does not have a drive letter assigned in disk management
    • The player can be disabled or offline
    • Your USB driver is maybe corrupted
    • Damaged registry keys may be the cause of problems with the connection to your CD-ROM or DVD drive
    1. When you connect other USB devices on the computer, they work well?
    2. What is the status of the Sandisk Cruzer 32 GB USB drive in the Device Manager?
    3. You have Kies installed on the computer?

  • NSLU2 does not recognize the hard drive

    Hello

    I have a NSLU2 on Win XP SP3.

It does not recognize the USB drives, he wrote that 'drive not formatted '. It only recognizes the USB key as "disk2".

    Current firmware is V2.3R29.

When I try to update the firmware, the "not enough disk space" message.

I tried the same disc on a different NSLU2 and it worked fine.

What can I do my NSLU2 reading displays the disc correctly?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Markus

It seems to be a firmware issue... The V2.3R29 firmware. is quite old. The latest firmware is Ver.2.3R63... Hard reset the NSLU2, power cycle it and then try to update the firmware. After upgrading the firmware, reset it again and reconfigure... Disconnect the HARD drive before upgrading.

  • Windows 7 64 bit does not recognize the USB external drive HARD Stor E art 3.5 "

I buy the art external disk HARD Stor E 3.5 "and spend a few days in windows does not recognize the HARD drive. Try to connect the drive to other USB 2 ports and nothing happens. Use a USB to see if has been a problem with the USB ports, but all 3 are OK. Try it on the laptop Asus and windows 7 recognizes the HARD disk. I formatted the drive in NTFS FS. In managing records do not show the external HARD disk. What can I do to fix this?

My laptop is a Qosmio F60

This is a really silly situation. It can be recognized by other laptops but not your Qosmio.
According to the description of your HARD drive when connected simply doesn t exist for your Qosmio laptop.

Some other HDD is recognized correctly?
What you can try is to reinstall the chipset driver, restart the laptop and test it again.

Since when you have this problem? Some installed updates of the last days?

  • Aspire One d255 does not recognize the usb connected external ssd drive

I want to replace the original HDD 160 GB with a 120 GB Samsung ssd 750 evo but bios and win 10 does not recognize the ssd drive as an external drive connected via a usb connection, so I couldn't create an image of my internal hard drive.  Is there a way to clone my hard drive SSD, so I can exchange the disc later?  I need to update the bios, install a missing driver, etc. ?

I used two different connections: one is a 2.5 "SATA case disc that I used with a disk 2.5" HARD and works very well with the HARD drive and the other is SATA/IDE connector combination with cables for SATA and power and none of these works.  I read in another forum during my research that the Aspire One d255 doesn't recognize any external SSD connected through a USB either.  Since my netbook has no data, and I had just a pure 10 Windows installed on his drive HARD internal, I removed the 160 GB HARD drive and replaced by a 120 GB SSD and installed another Windows own 10.  It worked and my system boots now in less than 20 seconds.   We can close this thread now since I now have a faster machine fully function.  Thank you!
