  • Windows 7 installation / drivers required

I have a "dv4-3029tx' and I installed Windows 8, wiping existing partitions of the drive (it will my recovery), and it would not start due to no available video driver.

I want to install Windows 7 from a genuine copy of Windows, no disc HP (that I have not and dat bloatware), but whenever I try, I get "a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing".

    Here are my options:

I can't order a new disc of HP (not for my model anyway)

I can't use Windows 8 (installs, does not start, BSOD)
    I can't even install Windows 7

    I can't use a recovery partition.

Anyone able to help me out here?

    I solved the problem

It turns out that some USB ports require additional drivers. I swapped my thumbdrive to another path, and it is installed, no problem!

  • Acer One 10 (S1002) Windows 10 drivers?

I have an Acer One 10 (S1002) and am unable to find drivers for it. Not only Windows 10 drivers, but even on the support site there are no drivers for 32-bit Windows 8. In fact, there is only one Windows 8 64-bit driver that I find troubling is a 32-bit UEFI.

I did a clean install of Windows 10 wiping the SSD and all paritiions. After you have installed Windows 10 I have a long list of "unknown devices" in Device Manager. I have no sound, the laptop / Tablet won't go to sleep, there is no battery icon, ALL of the hardware (power, volume) buttons do not work, cameras don't work, keyboard and touchpad stop working after detachment, etc...

I contacted the support that I have installed Windows 10 top several times however, I got no real help from them other than them telling me that I need to search the Internet for drivers and they are sorry but drivers are not ready from their support site. As suggested, I tried to find a list of the hardware in my machine if I could go and download the drivers from the manufacturers websites however the tool runs but shows that I have no hardware using their hardware diagnostic tool. The representative could not even give me a list of material so I could walk around and find the drivers for it. I mean seriously, are you serious... Laughing out loud!

I have 4 Macs, 4 Windows PCs, 6 cell Windows, 3 Samsung Android tablets and 3 tablets Windows from various companies and have NEVER had a problem getting drivers for one of them, or at least a list of material so far. As a first time Acer customer I must say that I am quite unhappy with the level of support for my deivce. I get 10 drivers not having Windows not because it is brand new but come on...

When I set the old hard drive to another computer and try to access the folder my documents, it requires user name and password. I enter it and get a permission denied message. How can I access this data?

Can I reinstall windows without wiping the hard drive and then try to take ownership of files? I'm so confused please help someone!

Install Windows 8 big mistake. You will need to reinstall Vista, but has a HP with no disc.

I installed windows 8: big mistake.  Got to get back to go back to Vista, but:

1: Windows 8 wiped my recovery partition

  • How to acquire the installation of Windows 8 media

I tried openSUSE dualboot with windows 8 on my laptop that somehow leads to a problem starting. To solve the problem, I had to do a clean installation of windows that wiped out all the data and hard drive partitions.

Now, the only problem is that I have a non activated Windows version 8 I can't activate.

Since I bought the laptop with windows preinstalled, which means also, I paid for the windows serial key (license) and I don't see why I should split up $ 200 to get a license that I already own.

I know that the warranty does not software but I also know that the manufacturer can provide the windows installation media for free or for a fee (since I already own it) on demand, so my question is: How can I make a request for the installation media, at what price, if any, and how he harvest?

  • Windows 7 screen resolution is not agree with me after I did a fresh install of Windows!

So after doing a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop two days ago, I have tried many unsuccessfully to try to resolve a problem of resolution resulting from the update. My resolution is automatically set to a resolution of 1024 x 768 very blurry and I cannot recover my original resolution. When I go to the next option and the last, on the resolution list, 1280 x 1024, the screen is completely distorted and stretched which is hard on the eyes and is certainly not the original resolution for my laptop before the update. It's like installing new Windows completely wiped out my original graphics drivers.

I also noticed with update that my graphics driver and the driver were set at "NVIDIA Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" which I am absolutely positive is not what I was using before, that I don't have a video card installed, even if I use not this laptop for games and is no longer for the school and other work. I'm 99% sure that I have a card NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 installed, that even though he is old, always worked well, but even in this case, I'm still not sure if it's the card I have, which could be the reason why I can't find the right drivers for it.

For reference (I'm running in Mode safe):

I tried to update this standard graphics driver, but he claims, there is no update. I run all my virus programs, I have all my updates installed Windows, and I used the boost driver to try to see if there is any other updates, but nothing has worked. I did a "sfc/scannow". I ran Microsoft FixIt, tried to look in the "list all Modes" under the control panel screen resolution and I currently can't 'uncheck' Modes 'hide' because it is all grayed out. Honestly, I think I have tried everything to solve this problem, but I think he came to where I think I need to ask someone who can find the exact video card I have in my computer so I can possible find the driver for it, and maybe that would solve the problem.

For reference, I also have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P25-S507. Running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. If any other type of information is necessary, I can give him, let me know how to get around to provide for you. I will continue to try to see what I can do but for the moment, help! D:

You do not use / install "driver booster" or other programs of type 'FixMyPC '.

You need to visit your computer makers portable, specific to your model support site and install all the available drivers (Chipset/graphics/lan, etc.)

  • Satellite A300D - create a recovery disk

    Hello
I have a Toshiba A300D. Recently, I installed the version BETA of Windows 7, wiping my installation of Windows Vista on my laptop, now I don't want Windows 7 more and wants to return to Vista. I still have the recovery partition in drive D, but I don't know how to be: create a recovery from this disk or restore using this straight from the trunk. I tried pressing F11 at the Toshiba flash at startup screen, and who just go to a screen that says "Windows could not start...". "etc, I also tried to go to the Multiboot menu and selecting HDD2, and who does not work either.

So can someone tell me how I can restore back to Windows Vista, I'm not taken worth losing data as I alll backed up on an external hard drive.
Where can I get the Toshiva Recovery Disc Creator software anywhere?

    Hello

He's a bad friend... usually it is not possible to restore the laptop on the factory (in the image of Toshiba) settings if you have removed the Vista HARD drive and not create the recovery disk...

The recovery disk is THIS essential disk and must be created at the beginning!

But maybe you're a lucky guy...
I found this thread with a nice tutorial posted by forum user.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=164927&

I didn't test it and I don't know if it will work, but I think you're last option... otherwise, you will need to order the Toshiba recovery disc.

    Good guys

I hope someone can help with please. I noticed that my Toshiba Satellite L750 came with a lot of software pre installed as Toshiba disc creator and so on. I can give you the full list if necessary... But unfortunately a few days ago I had to reinstall windows which wiped out everything.

    What list?
All the drivers, tools, and utilities are listed on the Toshiba download page.
    Have you already checked it?

  • Recovery and upgrade to win 8

I use the HP pavilion g6 2020se runnig real win 7 and plan to upgrade to Windows 8.

I created Hp recovery discs and my hard drive also contains the recovery partition.

Before the upgrade, I have a few q:

    1. will I have dual boot options (win 7 and win 8) after I upgrade? Y at - it a facility during the upgrade to display the partition where win 8 needs to be installed?

    2. after the upgrade to win 8, removing previous installtion of windows 7 (i.e., removal of system "windows.old" folder) will affect the recovery procedures in the future?  More clearly, will be F11 or recovery disks work after doing the deletion above?

    3. If after the upgrade I want to downgrade to win 7 (the same State just before the upgrade), how to ensure that all my win 7 postulants windows updates and stay as it is just before the upgrade.

    Help PLz...

    You are welcome.

Not sure why the link doesn't work, but I'll give you the link below. It worked for me earlier. The optimal path to get Windows 7 on the system is to use the recovery discs. The link is provided to enable the option to use the windows.old folder to go back, but you do not use this option which makes the irrelevant link at this point. But it's a good backup plan.
    http://goo.GL/XFBz1

The recovery discs are intended to operate independently of any software on the hard drive. In fact, this is how the replacement of hard drives is installed. A hard drive goes out, a new one is mounted (and free of any software or partitions), and the recovery discs (the user created or sent by HP) are used to reinstall all of the original software. Little matter if the hard drive is empty or not, but what is important, is that it is the same computer that the recovery discs were made for based on the serial number and other factors. Be assured that the recovery disks will work as long as the material is physically the same and serial number matches, which is coded in the recovery disks.

I used my discs of recovery of Windows 7 on a hard drive wiped several times, including the case using an advanced hard drive "cleaner" to erase all data.

My own experience can enlighten us on that. I installed Windows 8 (or five) about four times on my laptop due to various problems of Windows 8. I will note, the questions were the result of my laptop is too old and not designed for Windows 8. Whenever I returned to Windows 7, I used the recovery without problem discs. This should be the same experience you have.

The only time that the recovery disks can fail, it is if a smaller hard disk replacing the hard drive from the factory.

The answer to the question of recovery of the disc is Yes on both accounts.

The Windows.old folder has nothing to do with the (user created or sent by HP) HP recovery disks. Windows.Old is the culmination of a process of upgrading Microsoft in case something goes wrong, while the old data is not lost. It's more than a safety net which allows to return to the previous Windows without wiping the hard disk entirely. Since the windows.old folder should not be used to go back to Windows 7, think of it as a Museum of old files Windows. There is at this stage as archive.

I hope I answered your questions and removed any doubt about the recovery disks.

  • HP ENVY dv7-7338ea Notebook PC Driver Support after recovery

    Hello

My laptop was starting to slow down so I did a reinstall of windows and wiped my own SSD (I replaced the drive with an SSD HARD original earlier).

For this reason, I don't have a backup partition containing my drivers.

My fingerprint sensor has stopped working.  He said: an error everytime I try to use it even if my fingerprint has been saved in my user as a sign in option accounts.

Where can I get the driver for this?

Also, I now no longer have HP Recovery Manager who had all the drivers.  Where can I download this?

PS. I downloaded all the drivers on the HP site associated with my laptop notebook drivers here

These are the only two things that no longer work, and it would be useful to sort.

    See you soon

You can not download the HP Recovery Manager, because it is only available on the installation of original HP and HP recovery media. Please use the support of HP recovery, you created earlier to return the computer to a factory State. If you create your HP recovery media when you first set up your computer, please contact the official support of HP in your region / country, via the HP portal to support all over the world, to see if the HP recovery support is available for your computer.

Please post of Device Manager "Hardware ID" (text only) for all remaining missing or unknown devices, as shown in the example below.
