  Well to be honest, it looks like somebody was playing with the security settings on the Public folder.  And that Robby is now the only one allowed the user to modify the file.

  I would say a click right on the issue of World of Warcraft or games, going to properties, then security, clicking on edit, then adding "everyone" user to it and him giving total control.  Make sure there is no box to Deny checked either to other users.

  Uninstalling it would be unnecessarily laborious given the amount of patches that you would then go and download it again. Paul Smith - MVP for Windows desktop experience...   When I try to import images using Auto play "Import pictures and videos using windows" dialogue opens that gives me the choice of 'Mark' photos. The import settings"(in blue) shows also available to change the import settings but when I click it nothing happens? Out of curiosity I went to profiles, my partner profile has attempted to do the same thing and when I clicked on the "import setting" a new dialog box open for inviting me to make changes, I tried. So my question is:

  Why does Windows 7 let me not change my own profile import settings, and how do I reset the import settings?
  I have searched questions and knowledge base but cannot find an answer to my specific problem.

  Uninstalling Windows Update KB2871389 and then put it back solves the problem for most people who have tried.

  You can uninstall it by going to programs and features and by clicking on "View installed updates" at the top to the left. You will need to scroll the list to find it. Then right-click on it to get the option uninstall.

  You might also might want to consider turning off or uninstall security 3rd party programs...

• My Windows Update won't let me install an update. It gives me the error: 80072EFE.

  Also messes up my taskbar, it mainly turns white, which is not supposed to happen... I tried to turn off Spybot S & D and who didn't help (I'm not sure it would have helped anyway.) But I don't know what else to do, my firewall is odd.
