Windows 8 update manual checker (never stop running).

Original title: WINDOWS 8 MANUAL UPDATE CHECKER (never stop running).

Hi guys, is couple days in my windows 8 pro 64-bit computer laptop, because I check the manual updates of the options

the green line of the control is still ongoing, he never stops before and regularly

so I can't stop the Dungeon of update running with the green line.

What should I do?

I try to disconnect from the internet I get an error message and stop by it's self.

but seems not work too. Just keep continue running and running out with stop

Thanks in advance, hope that someone got the idea.

Dear Mr RajithR
Thank you very much for your support. I use eset antivirus.
but seems that I solved the problem already in this way

I always check the side windows desktop update option.
and as I said the audit of the green line never stop

> then I select windows update in the 2nd menu of windows 8
on the left side change configuration pc, so I'll find windows update on this side of the menu,
Once I check the update (if the update do not, at all, and everything was normal)

> I click on it.
and Ive check the update normally up to don't stop telling me anything like normality.

> then I'm back in the Office Update I click here, then I found everything was STOP FINALLY.
so I recheck again to update in office and stop again with updates to find
Everything works normally now. I guess I did, hope also works for others.

If this will happen again I'll make your suggestions.

I recently got windows 7 ultimate system and with the exception of two questions im love it.

The big one, is that, since at least two to three weeks every time the automatic windows update installs something windows closed, never stops.

I think the updates are installing, windows just hangs after the update is complete. (history of update of windows said that they where successful)

The screen will tell me its 1 installation of updates for a few minutes.

then it will say that its closure, that she will never be.

  • HP Envy 15 i7 window 8/8.1 - FAN never stop

    Hello

I use this new PC, everything is ok, but the fan NEVER cease.

I mean, as when the PC is idle, no activity, in a cold environment, the screen is off.

I think (as in my previous laptop) that the fan would be responsible if the temperature is not too hot while here it sems that he simply never stops.

The noise is quite always the same (it isn't one more question in addition to noise or speed), but I would like to know if there are a few settings (which I have not yet found) for a peaceful solution.

    Thank you very much

    Hello manageri,.

The processor fan is designed to run continuously. Even in a cooler environment, the processor can reach alarming temperatures. A processor may have a longer duration if there's a lower temperature.

If you find the fan turns entertaining, you will have solutions to reduce the speed in which it runs. "Reduce the fan noise'and'why computers generate heat, for your information."

    Kind regards.

  • Windows vista Startup Repair will not stop running

    Hi hope someone can help

When I boot computer it goes to startup repair and custom automatically stops running same thing that happens when I use safe mode. Recently, we used the system restore, it worked fine until we used the Startup Repair
Thanks for any help you can give

    Hi, Gretaevan2,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

    * If this happens even in safe mode, then it is possible that the hard drive is the source of the problem.

You can try the following steps:

STEP 1: Try to perform the disk check and see if there are errors.

See the following knowledge base to perform the disk check: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265

STEP 2: Try the SFC Scan now.

See the following knowledge base to run SFC Scannow: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747

If, in case, the step above does not help, try to perform the system restore to an earlier date when everything was working well.

We can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • Windows Update never appears to stop running with windows 7 and sp1

Recently, I did a clean install of windows 7.  As I have updated definitions for Defender, Windows update ran and introduced 3 update. But as I have a copy of the SP1 and IE11 when I installed them all first I used these. After that, I got an update from the update of Windows 7.6.7600.320 agen. Since then, windows update runs indefinitely even up to 3 hours. I even tried this will my laptop (1570 led) connected to my router.

Research in the windowsupdate log I saw different types of message and even if log files ends after about 10 minutes, the screen update always seems to be running, even up to 2 hours and beyond.

I don't see any obvious error in windowsupdate.log. Y at - it someone who can suggest what's going wrong with my update. Also, I tried to run the windows update troubleshooting, but that's always hard after 30 minutes.

I am running Windows 7 and noticed that Windows updates did not work. The parameters are defined for the update every day. When I went to update manually returned an error WindowsUpdate_80070017.  MSFT site was no help. Any recommendations?

Since neither updates Jan - 10 have installed, I'm going to hand you Support MS in the hope that they can resolve the problem. See below.

That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

    Good luck!

  • How can I fix error code 0 x 80070490. (windows update stopped running)

Windows Update has stopped running and I get an error code 0 x 80070490. windows8 running

I discovered were not installation of updates after the update of my PC (I guess they have never installed before).

    Tried all 4 methods.

Try Method 1, I managed to install the older windows Update in the list (from early 2012) and the following. After that my PC tried to restart and update no longer works with any restart of the msconfig dialog box options.

I ran the command 'DISM.exe Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth', but the progress indicator is passed quickly to 20% and then did nothing for 30 minutes until I've finished the process.

    What else can I try?

  • Windows Vista has stopped auto update cannot update manually. Used windows 'Mr fix - it' returned error code: 0 x 80040154

I don't know when this problem occurred. All of a sudden I lost sound on my Windows Vista Business System. In trying to find a solution to this problem, I went to the Microsoft Fix - It Center and downloaded the troubleshooting Fix - It. After insalling the Fix - It store and then you try to run the program an error code indicating: "C:\windows\System32\dssenh.dll is not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program using Intallation to original media or software to support provider or system administrator. "before you begin to solve the problem, as well, I decided to create a restore point, then I went to windows update and had an error code: 802440F when you try to update. Go to the Microsoft site and then try to download the updates manually it immediately opens the automatic update dialog box and activating returns the same error code: 8024402F. After reading the list of error codes, the closest codes of this number were 8024402C and 80244022

and the main board seems to rerun the update with the firewall shutdown, then restart the firewall after the download. I did this and still have not solved my problem. I think I have a sound card problem, but would not interfere with the automatic windows update. I then tried the option repair on windows vista drive still no luck.

  • HPW I don't tell WMP to STOP auto import of videos and photos. I want to do it manually. I am running Windows 7.

    Separated from this thread.

I tried the instructions above and Windows Media Player still imported all my videos and pictures from my computer. I have the version 12.0.   I can't remove them from the library and keep them on my computer. But I want to tell WMP to stop importing forever. I want to do it manually.  I am running Windows 7.

HI - no, you're quite safe - this is just a directory, and none of your videos and photos will be lost... It stops just WMP from the monitoring of these places.

Follow my instructions to create a shortcut on the desktop (you can do this for youcam videos and public * so) and you can easily access it by this method. Best - R.

    * (same method but "users" you will need to select 'public' - 'public videos' to create the shortcut.)
