I always check the side windows desktop update option.
and as I said the audit of the green line never stop

  • HARD drive randomly stops

Then, I had this problem for about two months now, increasingly more often.

My laptop (Pavilion Dv6 - 1350eb) would just freeze or stop for no apparent reason. because it was during the course of the demanding graphically programs (inventor/autocad) I took the laptop overheated.

then it started to happen when my laptop fell asleep - it would break, en no error no reports were given.

last month, that accidents are extremely common, sometimes my laptop does not even (HDD led flashes orange)

and I sometimes get error reports.

disk tried to write in the ROM, irl not equal and other errors
    .

After reinstalling my OS, the problem persists, so that's where I think that the HARD drive is broken - analyzes the hard drive with the startup check fails every time.

So now, I bought a new HDD (same brand, same model), and my laptop does exactly the same thing; randomly stops running, no error message, hdd led, flashes orange when restart.

Any ideas what this could be?

    Baru,

I'm glad to hear that you're getting it taken care of.

Accumulation of heat and the failure of HARD drive are some of the main reasons for freezing.

The heat can be the thermal paste that need to be replace, the fan who needs to be replaced or maybe even just to clean the system with a can of compressed air and get rid of dust inside the system.

I would like to know how everything goes.

  • External hard drive has stopped working.

I have a 500 GB WD external hard drive book that has stop working. He is no more, but I know that it is always powered because I can see that the lights are still coming when I plug in the power cord inside. No one knows anyway I can get access to the drive so that I can get my data on the disk. It was about 80% full and I was trying to take data out of the car so that I could make cleaner. It was not terribly fragmented, but I need to take some of the data out of the car that's why I was burning there CD so that I could do when he leaves. Now I can't access the drive at all. Does anyone know of a way I can access the drive so I can get my data?

The only thing I've heard to try and get a non-filature spinning disk long enough to get the data off the drive is to put the drive in the freezer, let cool completely, and then quickly remove it and try to make it work.  Sometimes this will release bearings long enough to allow him to run for a few minutes before it warms so that you can get the data.  No guarantees, of course.

    Good luck

  • does a tightening of internal hard drive disassembly SDcard running source sounds?

    Hi all

My hard drive is dead and to decide what to do next, I wonder if there are other deaths soon on my iMac Mid 2010.

I am now using a sd card to the BONE and removed the wrong drive, I hear still crunches every 2 to 5 seconds. There is no other drive connected. I am sure that is not the fan because the sounds are irregular and as chrrch, chrrch.

A tightening of the unmounted internal drive does It can be something else? The noise seems to come from the middle of the mac. can I test it somehow?

I´d be thankful for related experiments!

could be a fan inside which is broken

  • I'm trying to interconnect a XP home and a XP Pro with a Firewire 1394 through a Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus HARD drive cable to share the HARD drive and also run a home network.

Is it possible for me to take the files of XP Home that has installed 1394 controller and use the 4 files that I found marked 1394 in I386 to form the controller on my XP Pro, more driver 1394 in \WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS to close the loop and enable the ethernet connection both 1394 on both computers to have two computers connected to the Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus as well as HARD drive the network. I was hoping maybe even replace the ethernet cable and use the connection 1394 through the Maxtor which has several types of connectors on it.  Again, I am trying to install a controller 1394 on a computer that has no 1394, than USB 2.0. so that the XP Pro machine will recognize the 1394 card with my home XP firewire cable to the Maxtor HDD which it is already connected to the XP Pro via USB 2.0? I have you confused yet?

I found a post of S.W. video dated the 05/01/11, which has been handled by Gokul T and treated with the Firewire cable and video on a newer operating system, so I thought I would test Gokul T or someone else to resolve this situation. I couldn't find a controller IEEE 1394 I could just download and install on my XP Pro machine. These are the two Dell, is an inspiron 5100 with installed 1394 with taking and the GX280 is one without the 1394 controller installed, or the socket.

You will need a firewire to XP Pro card. The drivers are already on the hard drive. Once the card is installed, you will see the icon of the network for this adapter. So you can use it.

The reason why there is no 1394 net adapter on XP Pro is now, because there is no firewire card

  • After win7sp1 clean install on a new hard drive, Windows Update runs forever - have tried MANY fixes

    April 2, 2016

For several days, I have reproduced this problem by starting with a W7Sp1 drive and also start with a considerably older drive of W7.  The old installation of W7 is going very well, first run of WUpdate receives a few fixes, apply and restart.  Rerun WUpdate and she finds Sp1.  Installation of Sp1.  Rerun Wupdate and it says to upgrade to a new Wupdate.

After the SP1 update and the new windows update, this system offers the same WUpdate symptoms as if from the W7Sp1 disk.  Immediately after the installation of the drive, run the wupdate.  He said: it must be updated to a new Wupdate.

(PS in each Installer Win7, I authenticated the product key and activated windows.)

After that, Windows Update never runs you want fixed.  (Left running 10 hours overnight).

(NO OTHER programs or anything like that is installed after installing Win7 and starting with Windows Update problems).

    =============================================================

    I found 2 programs: FixitAllUp.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 - downloading "MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run". (Chasing a "minimal boot"). The last time I have raced, he said if found 2 problems, but only fixed a.  I hit the button Details where he says that he finds the same 2 problems and fixed them BOTH.  It corrects "Missing or damaged registration Service" he said: he can't solve 'Installation problems of the recent updates' - but when you hit details it button show both under "green checkmark" FIXED.  (I also tried to run this several times, and he always finds and he said exactly the same thing, as did the first round).

Also have run "WindowsUpdateDiagnostic" downloaded from the microsoft site.  It's the same notes 2 problems and fixed one or both depending on if you are looking the summary or detail.

I read many many cases of a problem that dates back to 2011 and with various assumptions for this problem.

AND YET, Windows Update checks the updates for EVER and EVER.

    Help

There is a solution and it works very well...

    Windows Update problem (new)

The following procedure applies in the case of installation (reinstall) Windows 7.  It does not apply to a usual, normal day.

I'm afraid that you will do the reinstall again.  Not a terrible penalty to pay.  Usually takes less than an hour.  Then immediately proceed to the next procedure.   It's strange, but it really does work and many people have proved it.

NEVER install anything other than Windows updates until your system is up-to-date.  Once you have the list update, install all together.  Installation of updates in batches is not expedite the process or do better.

    1. Before you begin to re - install, download (32 or 64 bit) KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance and store on a USB
    2. Start and end the re - install Windows 7 SP1
    3. Before that the newly installed system can go online for the first time, Disconnect the computer from the Internet.  This chronology is essential.  The system should NOT have access to the Internet when it starts.
    4. Install KB3083710 and reboot manually.
    5. Install KB3102810 and reboot manually.
    6. Restore the Internet connection, and run Windows Update as usual.
    7. After a few minutes, you should have a lot of updates to download and install.

    Hello husa58,

Equip your Vista OS dvd, see below:

To help resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the command sfc/scannow. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

I had to reinstall my copy of XP after that I accidentally deleted the Isass.exe file, and do so to found the scroll to be less than adequate and time allocation for the monitor and the hard disk to stand down has stopped working. I can't put the computer in standby mode. If I use the screen saver, it lights up at the set time, but when the time is reached in which the monitor is supposed to withdraw, the screensaver disappears and the full screen returns. After that, the screen saver is no longer turns on until it is reset. In addition, the condition "save under" on the power selector is not save configurations.

  • Can I unpartition a hard drive? Can I stop automatic backup?

My 75 year old mother gave me her laptop because it has performance issues. I'm pretty good at fixing my own laptop, which runs Windows XP. My mother's laptop using Vista, and I feel as if it was another planet! I am struggling to do some cleaning and basic maintenance because things aren't where I expect to be. Defragmentation tell me that is it (there is no applaud living), and it runs for hours and hours, then stops and indicates that the computer would benefit from defragmentation. I don't know what he does all these hours, but he seems to be caught in a loop and not really defrag.

BIGGER PROBLEM: His HP laptop appears to come from the factory with Vista and the partitioned hard drive. He runs a program of automatic backup. We want to STOP the backup program and if possible, put the HDD on a C drive. Why? Because my MOM uses only the Internet. Period. She has never, in six years, NEVER open a single program on the computer other than Solitaire. She uses the Internet for e-mail, shopping, to buy plane tickets, check sports scores, watch YouTube and Facebook videos check. She has never created or saved a file photo of the document, etc. Not a single one.

The D drive and kept to give a message every few seconds it was complete. I deleted all the files I could except for the marked thing 'Partition I think with running auto backup, it will just fill in again. Still, I don't know what it's backup since only MS files on the computer. The "My Documents" folder is empty.

My mother didn't need to backup all the files. She wants to stop error messages and she wants the D drive and go. FIRST: Can I turn off the automatic backup program? I don't know where to look for it or how to stop it.

    >: Can I cut first automatic backup program? I don't know where to look for it or how to stop it.

RE: Disable the automatic backup of files
Start button > in the search box, type Task Scheduler > press ENTER...
expand (click the pointer before) Task Scheduler Library
    expand Microsoft
    expand Windows
    Windows backup, click on it
Right-click to AutomaticBackup > click on disable
    That's all.

In vista, disk defragmentation is done automatically "in the background".
No need to defragment manually, not ot mention manual defragmentation will go for HOURS.

P.S. Your D drive is your recovery Partition. It is not to be touched, to add or remove items in or out the drive d Partition Recovery is used in case of system crash. It allows you to restore the system.
Hope that you have not deleted the data necessary to make the system recovery.

It is obvious that the D drive and has been used to make backup files. There is reason why you saw the message "D drive is full."
Recovery partition is usually about 10 to 15 GB in size. Soon to fill upward if used for the backup of files.
