Windows attach (alignment) next to the monitor

I use Vista on a HP Pavilion.  I recently installed a second different monitor.  They are now the two Samsung.  Since the installation of a new my windows line up on the side of the screen that allows only two windows to be open, side by side.  If I open a third window it will cover one of the two is already open.  I don't know if it's the monitor software or something with Windows, as I have several updates too.  Also, when I open a new window he floats where ever on the screen.  It snaps (tie) on one side after I touch.  Very annoying.  How can I get the return parameter to let windows float and stay where I put them?

Thanks for any help.  Loïc

  • Practice method / device wusb600N mount next to the monitor to the laptop

Does anyone know a clip of any kind that could hold the WUSB600N alongside a laptop monitor.

    It serves 2 purposes:

    (1) location safer than fate horizontally on the side of the laptop I use it on

    (2) brings the NETWORK card to a location higher for better reception of the signal, especially while the laptop is sitting on my lap while reclined.

The WUSB600N comes with a table top stand, but it is annoying when using the laptop in a meeting room or in a restaurant.

Also makes it easier to move the laptop with NIC attached.

I thought about using a webcam soft/mounting bracket like what L * gitech uses, but I have not found a source for them.

If you know on the one hand, and where to find that would be useful.

    Thank you

It works, but I'd rather not glue/glue velcro on 4 computers that my wife and I use it.

    (Different computers for different tasks,

use of personal laptop for everyday,.

Professional Notepad no personal software on this subject.

    NetBook for when I travel.

and of course my wife borrows the NIC occasionally on a trip)

If all other methods prove to be a pain in the..., Velcro works very well.

    Don't think this.

After having thought about it for a while, I thought that the cheap platic hanging cups that you can buy for cars are perfect.

First cut the Cup holder to the size, remove the part of the basket.

Then take a few velco (or maybe even Velcro 8-)) and stick it on the back side of the holder,

and the other side of the velcro to the WUSB600N.

Or I can still do something like taking a small piece of foil and fold the right size.

Cut the plastic or aluminum for a nice small size manageable and hang it off the coast of the back side of the laptop screen.

I can use the Ribbon of foam inside do not mar/scratch my laptops to the top, and that will still give a tighter fit.

I just need to find a cup holder with a narrow hook (for lack of better term) section so it's not flop.

(The time is free to find the right one).

I greatly appreciate the input, just had to think for a while.

Thinking he might have a few unique tray solutions readily available.

Once again thanks for the comments

  • Windows XP - align the disks for VDI

    Hello

If someone actually managed to succeed this procedure following the VMware guide to http://www.vmware.com/pdf/esx3_partition_align.pdf?

    My experience is this:

    • If you create a new vdisk of a Windows XP VM and follow the guide using diskpart.exe, the version provided with Windows XP does not support the attribute align = 64 argument i.e. create primary align partition = 64.  You cannot copy a later version on XP you will get the message incompatible version.

    • Creating a new vdisk of a VM in Windows 7 and with the help of dispart.exe included with Windows 7 don't seem to work.  The disc is released in the MBR and diskpart creates a partition aligned to 64. The next steps are to format the drive with 32 k allocation units which also works.  I have then create my new machine virtual Windows XP, set this new vdisk as my system disk and start build of Windows using the attached driver and controller LSI logic.  Everything seems to work, Windows installs to the hard drive, but after the first reboot I get 'disk read error.  I have proven that it is something to do with what the partition Win7 as if I reformat the partition during the installation, it works.  Also if I create a vdisk std of Win7 with no alignment stuff and that attach to my new VM WinXP, it works too.

    • Finally using the old tool diskpar.exe seems also to align the disc but the CD of Windows XP can not actually see the installation disc.

So after trying all these different options, I still couldn't line up my Windows XP system partition before installing Windows.

Someone has an idea what I am doing wrong?

    Ta!

    Hello.

I guess that's why the 'recommendations for aligning VMFS Partitions' document also States "Note: align the startup disk in the virtual machine is neither recommended nor necessary." "Align the than the data in the virtual machine disks".

It's a bit of a pain.  That being said, in the past, I used the procedure detailed in http://blog.core-it.com.au/?p=281 successfully.

    Good luck!

  • There is no diamonds next to the name of the windows in the window menu.

When I reduce a window, I don't see a diamond next to the window menu. I see the diamond next to page name in the menu of the icon in the dock, but not in the menu of the window itself, which is what I use to select windows. Attached are pictures of the menu icon dock vs the window menu.

I want to know whether or not the windows are reduced. I reduce windows that I don't need right now, and I don't want to have to scan the list of all the windows to find what I want, I want to know which windows I still have maximized immediately.

  • No Signal to the monitor, keyboard, or mouse HP 110-023w running 64-bit Windows 8.1 desktop

My computer (Nr H5P41AA) crashed all of a sudden the other day.  I tried to get as much information as I could when it came down, but everything happened so fast that all I could write were "Imminent failure", "file: hiberfil.sys," and "error Code: 0xc0000411.»

I don't remember to make changes to the system in at least a week of his disappearance, but I can tell you that this machine had a reason strange sleep/wake extended since the day that I brought home.  If I used it for about 10 minutes, it will turn off.  After another 10 minutes or more, it would turn itself back on, and this behavior would continue as long that I didn't stop the system.  Because I used to access the computer several times during the day, this is a not particularly bother me, so I never it investigated further.

In addition, there was a strange situation in the region of defragmentation/optimization, where the drives C and D have been indicated with another player that was something like 23% fragmented, but try as I might, there was no way I could do something with this third disc.  Googling the question gave me an opinion agree that the best thing to do was to leave him alone, that's what I did.

I took to solve my problem of measures have included, check the monitor cable, mouse and keyboard all work by trying on my Windows Vista machine, I had to resurrect this report and seek solutions to my dilemma.  I also tried a DVI cable, reinstall the RAM and tried a hard reset, all to nothing does, and my Vista computer monitor does not work when connected to the computer of 8.1.

Without a monitor, mouse and keyboard, I'm at a complete loss trying to figure out what to do next.  How can I determine if the problem is in the motherboard, hard drive, BIOS or something else?  And, since I didn't get this machine for a full year until October 18, how can I check if this is because of something I can do inadvertently or if it is only something covered by my warranty?

Thanking you in advance for your willingness to help, hopefully soon be eternally in your debt via your recommendations for a solution to this madness.

  • . I have Windows Vista Home Premium. When I try to play a video file that is attached to my Windows Mail, playing audio but the video is not displayed on the screen.

Because video (photo) is not shown there is no window to control me, IE; delete, stop. I have to wait until the audio stop. I can even click on another email and the audion continues until it stops on its own. Very frustrating.

I've recently updated to IE9 and this problem started. I can see the other attachments, photos, etc., but must double-click on the icon of attachment (paperclip) displayed next to the email listed. Attachment icon does not appear with the body of the message. There is also a change from my old e-mail program used before you download IE9. I think I liked much better IE8!

What media you used to install Windows 8?

You can BCD to rebuild using the Bootrec.exe tool.

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start the Windows recovery environment. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) put the Windows 8 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    (b) press a key when you are prompted.
    (c) select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
    (d) click on repair your computer.
    (e) click on the operating system you want to repair, and then click

  • CC - 10 Windows Photoshop: The monitor profile is defective

Yes so it's my fellow... 100th post in 2 hours, I'm sorry if I'm spamming the forums today but when I think I have fixed this problem I don't have.

"" So the other day, ran Photoshop and had the "Monitor"BenQ RL2455 ' profile seems to be defective, please run calibration software, etc. etc. Now, for some reason this problem only happens after I installed windows 10 and does not extend to any of my other art programs.

This pic is an example of this:a72c5def93.jpg

For some reason any PS, he seems to think that whatever it is with a black background turns a darker violet blues but when I view it in paint tool sai, there is almost no problem what so ever:2826268781.jpg

Anyone able to help a frustrated student animation here? Fortunately im on break, so this couldn't have come at a better time * cough * sarcasm * cough *, just would like to get this resolved as soon as POSSIBLE, so I can return to work. Honestly, it's a very strong BONE, but this issue is really makes me mental.

Im running off a BenQ RL2455 with a Nvidia GTX960. I use two monitors, but my left one (that I listed) is my primary monitor.

You most likely had a defective profile installed via Windows Update. The next time he gets up, disable this particular update, and it will not be displayed again.

Manufacturer profiles are surprisingly often broken. Why they can't do things is a mystery, but it happens a lot especially with the BenQ, Samsung, LG, Asus, and a few others.

The real solution is to make a new monitor profile customized with a Stallion like an i1, ColorMunki, etc. of Spyder. If you do not, then replace the profile broke with sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1. It is usually close enough. Do not know Windows 10, but if there is a control panel > color management dialog box, here's how:

Restart Photoshop when done so it can load the new profile at startup.

You will see this in Photoshop, because PS is the color management and use the profile when displaying. Many the most other applications are not and simply ignore the profile of anyway, so they are not affected.

  • You can change the default size of the monitor of video in EP 13 window?

Please can someone confirm if it is possible to change the default size of the clip in the first elements 13 monitor window. The research of this issue brings an answer to someone who asked the same question about EP 7; the answer would then open the clip monitor window, adjust its size and then let it open for the duration of the editing session. Is it still valid for PE 13, or is there another way to adjust the default size of the window so that the next session opens to the same size as the last one? Help appreciated.

    CD.

Technically, no. When you double-click a clip, it will appear roughly the same size, in the center of the interface.

My solution, however, is to open the monitor Clip and then let it open, stop on the side. (I have a dual monitor computer, so I can move it away from the rest of the interface if I'd like.) As long as it remains open, it will stay in the same place and size that you double-click to open other clips in it.

  • I have a slide show full frame, which works great, but is there a way to keep "next" arrows "prev" aligned vertically when the browser size changes? Also is there is way to add a border to a slide show full frame as well?

I have a slide show full frame, which works great, but is there a way to keep "next" arrows "prev" aligned vertically when the browser size changes?

Or a way to pin things generally vertically centered?

Also is there is way to add a border to a slide show full frame as well?

    Thank you

Hello.  For the problem of alignment, of the research this window https://helpx.adobe.com/muse/using/objects.html#Pinning%20objects%20to%20the%20browser%20w

For once, click once on the slide show, and then click New. In this way you access the first image. Determine the race it and view it in the browser. It should work.

  • How to close the 5 windows which are open next to the URL?

I tried to type 5. It shows the windows open, but they do not have an X to close each.

Once you view the list of open tabs:

    • In portrait mode, it should be a black X on the far right next to the title of the tab. This can be difficult to see on a dark background.
    • In landscape mode, it must be a gray X next to the tabtitle below each thumbnail. Maybe it's a little trickier to operate with precision.

You can also "drag" a tab off the screen to close - tap and hold on the thumbnail and drag it off the screen.

    • In portrait mode, drag to the left or the right.
    • In landscape mode, drag upward or downward.
  • I can not open a new tab - when I restart my computer (or firefox), ctrl T does not work and the tab '+' next to the tab on my browser window does NOT open a second tab

Firefox3.6.18, running on Windows XP (all patches from Microsoft), opens with a single tab. By clicking on the tab add '+' or by pressing CTRL T does not open a new tab, even if I open a new window. In addition, when you exit Firefox, my location of the tab is not saved.

Please click the button solved it next to the answer that solved your problem of Firefox support, it appears when you are connected, so this thread is marked as resolved to help other users who may have this same problem.

  • Impossible to attach Windows 10 laptop computer to the Internet via cable USB iPhone 5 c after update to iTunes and iPhone (March 2016)

    System information:

    Tactile Lenovo Y50-70

Construction of 10.0.10586 of Windows 10-10586

    iPhone 5 c - iOS 9.2.1

    iTunes - 12.3.2.35 / 64-bit

    Cell carrier: Etisalat AF

Last year in Afghanistan, I have used my iPhone 5 c to attach my laptop to the internet simply by connecting via USB.  It has always worked.  Was very simple.  When I returned to the States for R & R in November 2015, I've updated my iPhone and iTunes to the latest versions and upgrades Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

I am now back in Afghanistan and USB tethering no longer works.  WiFi tethering works half the time.  The other half of the time, when I try and connect to the network of the iPhone, it is said, you cannot connect to this network.  When I can't connect to the phone, I disable the personal hotspot, WiFi and Bluetooth on the phone and then I turn it back on.  I also turn off my WiFi adapter on my laptop and turn it back on.  Which usually solves the problem and then I can connect via WiFi.

Do some research on the internet, I read that there was a file corrupted when the current generation of iTunes, but Apple had set and you just need to reinstall the current version, which I did.  I have reinstalled iTunes by suggestions from different site.  After reinstalling iTunes and restart, I can always have my phone to connect to internet via the USB cable.

I want to be able to connect my laptop to the internet using my phone via the USB cable.  I want it all works just as it did previously.  Connection via WiFi is a pain in the ass, because it does not work half the time and disconnects on a regular basis.

Please tell us what should I do to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

OK, I finally understand how to solve this problem.

I was able to understand because of this post:

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/29267225#29267225

The problem is that Windows 10 was not install appropriate drivers for my iPhone.

You can see 2 places to see.  We're in the control panel.  After you plug in your iPhone, the iPhone will be displayed and highlighted as not having is not a compatible driver.  The other place is in "Devices and printers", there you will see 3 apple devices: 1 Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, iPhone 2, and 3. Apple iPhone.  All three appear when I plugged in my iPhone.

However, the problem was one that said iPhone really should have said "Apple Mobile Device Ethernet".

    So, how to fix this?

Open devices and printers-> right click Iphone which should be under "Unscpecified"-> properties-> hardware-> Propterties tab-> change settings-> tab driver-> update driver-> Browse my computer for software Local-> Browse to the directory "C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support".

Make sure you have the files box to include under verified.

Who did.  Windows successfully installed the necessary drivers.  Now, I can easily connect to the internet via the USB cable again without any problems.

  • Window of email Outlook Express is lost on the side of the monitor and can not be read or moved. How to open the middle of my screen? Lorraine

Windows XP.    I use Outlook Express to get my e-mail address.    When I open the e-mail message, he disappears on the side of the monitor with just a tad showing so I know it's there.   I can't move it with my mouse.  I have to click on the advice of the taskbar, click on maximize and then it fills the screen.  How can I get the e-mail to open in the middle of the screen, and hiding on the edge?

    Thank you.

I'm not familiar with Outlook Express, but here are a couple of common solutions for windows that are out of the screen as you describe...

    (1) with the active window (as when you open just it), press Alt-space, and then press the button "M".  Then try using the arrow keys on the keyboard to bring the window on the screen.  Press "Enter" to move the window.  If it works, try to close the window at this time (I hope that it will save the current position of the window), and then reopen it.

    (2) try a right click on an empty space in the taskbar and select "Cascade Windows".

  • I have a Dell computer that came with Windows XP Home edition. When I start my computer the monitoring of ERROR appears: RUNDLL error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll

    Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll

I have a Dell computer that came with Windows XP Home edition.  When I start my computer the monitoring of ERROR appears: RUNDLL error loading specified not found \3\DLBUtime.dll module

I just click 'ok' and he goes, but, as for what it stop popping up everytime I start my computer.

Can someone help me with this?

    Aprilm,

You are LuLu5119, who posted a question last August?

If this isn't the case, you should have started your own thread.  If so (and even if not), you should have responded to questions about Dell printers.

Assuming that you complain of a "Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll" message that appears when you start your computer, you should know that the DLBUtime.dll file probably has something to do with the software from Dell which has been partially deleted, but could also be indicative of malware as well as partially withdrawn.

In both cases, the best way for start you to prevent the message at windows is to download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Install the Autoruns and let it complete the scan of your computer.  Then click on the "Connection" tab and uncheck the following entry:

Look for an entry that has 'DLBUCATS' in the first column.  If you do not see that, look for "rundll32 \3\dlbutime.dll" in the last column ("path of the Image).

Uncheck that entry, close Autoruns and restart your computer.  You should get is no longer the message.

If for any reason, you find later that you need dlbutime.dll running, run Autoruns and check the box. If you decide that you need never again, run Autoruns, right-click on the entry and select Delete.

As General precautionary measure, in case your entry dlbutime.dll was related to malicious software, rather than the Dell printing software, download the following free scanners:

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware Portable: http://superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html

For MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, download, install, update and run.
For Portable SAS, follow the instructions on the Web page (note that the instructions assume that you use a different computer to download; if you're not, just make a note of the name of the file).
