  • Is it possible to use the full version of Windows that has been used by another person and uninstalled from his PC?

I found on the version complete Amazon Windows XP (non OEM) that has been used before, but uninstalled, the original PC. Is it legal to use this operating system even if someone else has already activated? Thank you.

His legal (as long as he has really been uninstalled)

    (1) general rule of thumb - do not buy reselers which advertse on Amazon's web site.

    (2) the phone activation will be required.

  • With the help of Microsoft Office 2003 in Windows 7 that has been changed in Windows XP

The company I work for recently had to buy a new computer because our hard drive crashed.  We were accustomed to using Windows XP, so the newcomer with Windows 7, but they managed to install Windows XP on it, which is good, since that's what we are used to.  However, the new computer came with OpenOffice and not Microsoft Word or Excel.  Some of the functionality is the same, but it is quite different and slows me down because the formatting of the documents is not the same and we don't have time to reformat all of our existing documents.  We have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003.  Can someone tell me if buy us Microsoft Office 2003, if it will work on our existing Windows 7 with Windows XP change?  If so, our existing documents created in the 2003 version will remain unchanged or anyway should I reformat them?  Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated.  Thank you!

If your company has put Windows XP on it - which was a 100% wipe.  This computer has no idea that he had never Windows 7 top because it cannot read some sticker is on it (product key/certificate of authenticity), nor can it read the invoice which was purchased with it.

When they suffered the (formatted) system and installed Windows XP pn it cleanly and updated it - they should have installed other software you needed in the context of your work.  Which probably included Office 2003.

OpenOffice is free - anyone can get it.  If you own a license for Microsoft Office 2003, you do not - you might have installed on Windows 7, or you can install it on Windows XP now. (License and support).

  • How to save a copy of Windows XP that has been created by an image?

I used 'Image for Linux' to create an image of a PC with Windows XP, SP3.  With that done, I can copy the image to a new PC and it works fine (assuming that I stay within the limits of the PC HAL).

My problem is that I don't have to enter a new key of Windows XP when I installed the image on another PC. for example, I use a license of Windows XP on two PCs.  Since I want to be legitimate on my software license, I tried to activate Windows XP license to new PC - but the computer says that the license is already activated.  So it is logical that the new PC would react like that - I put the picture of an activated copy of Windows on a new PC, the new copy of Windows must also think that it is enabled.

All this brings me to my original question: how to save a copy of Windows XP that has been created by an image?

    Hi RichardMatt,

I recommend you contact the customer service of Microsoft for queries on activation for clarity.

  • Satellite L40 - 18Z: warnings of Tempo that 75% of the memory has been used

    My dad recently bought a satellite L40 - 18z.

Tempo began to give warnings that 75% of the memory has been used.
When I checked there a 74 GB HDD with 3 partitions top - 1.46 GB (which I assume is the recovery partition), GB 37.26 labeled 'Vista', containing the OS and all the rest, and finally Go 35.80 labeled 'Data' which is empty.

    The partition 'Data' is necessary?

Or do I have to move all of the documents on this partition, and if so why not been put there by default?

My father is not very computer and I find it strange that the hard drive is not that way. It could very easily write the Vista partition and thought it was! And ended up paying someone to put a bigger HDD in or sorting.

It seems to be no mention of partition 'Data' in the documentation or advice on how to use it.

    > Is the partition 'Data' necessary?
Well, you can use this partition for data storage.
I mean you don t need to store files such as mp3, jpg, etc. on the system partition, but on this partition.

  • is it possible to tell if a new laptop that I bought has been used before

I decided to buy a laptop to replace my pc. I am now on my 3rd relative to 2 months! I now have problems with the latter and after receipt of the error codes that I went in the journal that shows critical errors and warnings events from as early as the month of March, as I have only had it since August 7, I wonder if it has been used before. Can someone enlighten me? Linda Bull

    Hi Linda,.

Where have you bought your laptop? He was in a store? Hitman?

If you do not buy from a credible source, I clean and reinstall cleanly. Please take a look at some of the following:

AVG found that Windows\xreg.exe has been signed with a digital signature broken by Leader Technologies. Is - this someinthg, I'd be worried?

    See you soon

    KF

    Hi KieranFitzgibbon,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. are you referring to the xreg.exe or ereg.exe?

If his ereg.exe, then it is related to the registration of Logitech products.

    Method 1

I suggest that use you the Microsoft safety scanner to remove the infections of viruses or malware to the computer and check if it helps.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

You can also use Microsoft Security databases to scan your computer

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-security/MSE.aspx

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD.
