Windows Security Essentials with Kaspersky Internet Security 2011

Dear Forum members

I just received email from Microsoft on Windows Security Essentials installation, but I have Kaspersky 2011, which was given to me by my Bank, those two would work together or should I just continue with what I have.

I also have full Advance PC system supported and I just got my computer running the best I got a PC of my own work.

I hope you can confirm that I can continue or if I can add the two together.

Hope to hear from you all soon.

Yours Sincerely

JTValerie

You should never run more than one anti-virus program. Two
at the same time can affect your performance and exposes you to the
risk of conflicts between them.

Which of the two should run? Personally, I think that Microsoft Security
Essentials is the best choice.

Regarding Advance PC support system, I strongly suggest that empty you
She immediately.  Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil.
The registry cleaning is not necessary and dangerous. Leave the
Only registry and do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what a lot
people think, and try to which suppliers of software record cleaning
convince you to have used really doesn't hurt registry entries
you.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
good deal.

  • Flash CS4 works only with Windows 7 64-bit and Kaspersky Internet Security

I have a new computer to core i5 Windows 7 64 bit retail. With Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 installed Flash CS4 answers so that it is completely unusable. Uninstall KIS and it works quite well. I already read on another forum that someone of another encounter the same problem with the same combination of products. Does anyone else have this problem amd If Yes, how do you solve? I posted on the forum of Kaspersky without solution so far.

Norton works OK with Windows 7 (64) and CS4?

Your chance.  After a week of research I found someone who has thought about it.  Apparently his self-defense of Kaspersky which is causing the problem.  Under options disable control external sevice disable.  For me, that did the trick.  If it does not for you also try to disable self-defense under both options.  Once I did it was moving smooth again.

  • Which is a best antivirus, Windows Defender, Bitdefender or Kaspersky?

which is better windows defender in windows 8 that I currently use along the coast with malwarebytes premium or security windows 8 bitdefender or kaspersky internet security.

It's really a matter of opinion.  I use Defender by himself, and of course I practice habits very safe to avoid malware or unwanted everything in general.  Defender protects the malware and viruses of agents, is updated daily and does not cost any money.  That is a winner in my book.

If you install Kaspersky or any other antivirus, Defender will turn off.  That's because it's bad run several antivirus at the same time (they are all two attempt at analysis each file you are using at the time, and it slows down your system or, worse still, causes problems).

I'm not saying you use Defender.  If you like something else, and want to, you can of course.  Use more than one at the same time.

  • Preloaded Norton Internet Security 2011 crashes Windows 7

My 6620 Pavilion came preloaded with Norton Internet Security 2011 - who works in isolation, but causes of the accidents and crashes when any other software infringes on its ares of operation. It is not always clear what are these competing programs.  For a while, something was inviting Norton to run "Background Operations" almost continuously and at intensities higher until the CPU would be muffled and the machine refused to respond to anything.

I see it now.   Model came out about 1 year - guess it was late at night the day Expert when I was looking for this upward and I was a little bleary - eyed.   I guess it's the old stock or device refurbished if you have only had it for 3 weeks.

I did not talk about the problems that would cause Norton to crash the system as you said.   If the system stay up long enough - I would try a number of things.

First - go to Control Panel / programs and uninstall Norton.   Get Windows 7 running stable, maybe run Microsoft Windows Update, get the latest updates on.   Then go to the folder start/programs/recovery manager to launch the Recovery Manager to do a reinstall of the software program - Symantec Norton Internet Security should be one of the options.  Choose an application recovery - and you'll find Norton.

Norton package still has a 60-day subscription to when you installed first, however.

You could opt to use a different antivirus package if you wish.  For most of my friends and family think I help set their PCs for - I usually opt to accompany Security Essentials Microsoft, especially since it's free - but it seems to work pretty well.   You can find it at http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials if you are interested.

  • Windows XP mode crashes after his execution. Can Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 be the cause?

It is a new HP laptop, preloaded with Windows 7 Professional, including Windows Virtual PC and WIndows XP Mode.  2013 - Kaspersky Internet Security is responsible.  With the launch of XP Mode Windows Virtual PC, I get my password, integration are enabled and the Windows XP desktop appears.  There is a notification that the virtual machine is protected by 2013 of Kaspersky Internet Security.  A ToolTip appears and indicates that Kaspersky needs to be refreshed.  (Note: Kaspersky has been updated under the Windows 7 platform).  When you attempt to update, the virtual machine freezes up.  By clicking on the Start button returns nothing.  The only thing I can do is output using the X in the upper right.  A window opens on the Windows 7 Desktop poster "The Virtual Machine into hibernation".  This window remains on my desk, and apparently the VM is not hibernate.  I have to perform a reboot of windows 7 and, in the process, forcing the Virtual PC to stop before the reboot process can begin.  Note that if I set up the Office XP under XP Mode, then immediately stop the XP Mode (I don't try to do SOMETHING else), hibernation is successful.  MS Help Desk wants to charge $99 for this problem.  It is a new machine, for Petes sake! Answers, please?

Nortons disabled. Because it has a virus scanner. You cannot or should not be running 2 AV programs or firewall. They will come into conflict. Its normal. And nothing to panic on
