Windows vista will not start or start in any mode

My windows vista 32 bit operating system does not start. I tried it in all security modes and last configuration. I also tried to start with an installation disk, but the disk does not start for me to fix it. It is said that windows could not start because of a hardware error and suggested that I leave my installation disc, but nothing happens. It just keeps going back to safe mode options. How can I fix start upward.

Wat is the specific model of the system?

Yes, many of the items in the list may not be part of your specific system - but if your system has wireless has bluetooth or has a smart card reader, etc. - it's order.  It has a chipset motherboard, audio, video, etc..  You just skip installation of items that you do not have by following the list.

    Okay, a month ago I lost power to my computer. When the power came back my computer would normally charge, but after the vista loading screen went the screen would remain just black.

    Have you changed the boot order before trying to boot from disk:

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    First of all I suggest you to disconnect all devices external one except keyboard and mouse and try to start your computer and check.

    I also suggest you perform a startup repair and check if this solves the problem.

    a. Please insert the Windows Vista DVD and restart the computer.
    b. when we are asked to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.

  • Windows Vista will not start and cannot recover

    I have a desktop PC HP Compaq Presario, which has about 2 years. The problem started when Windows Vista was not able to start. It would load up on the "COMPAQ" screen and then it would just go to a slider black white screen with a flashing white light on the top left. Now that I've seen a lot of discussions with this similar problem, but it seems that people would rather not reformat in order to lose any important data. But in my situation, I have some important data on my computer so reformatting would be fine, except...

    -Recovery system won't work. I insert the 1 system recovery disk, all files loading correctly, it allows me to choose if I want to reset the computer to factory settings, I click Yes and it finishes the reformatting step. But then the problem comes when I insert disc 2, original content relocation step. It fills up to 10-16% and then I get a blue screen of death STOP: 0 x 00008086. I tried SEVERAL times and the same thing happens.

    -The next thing I tried to do is to fix the computer via a copy burned Windows Startup Repair. Loads everything up, I spent the page where I choose my language, currency, etc. The problem comes when I get to the System Recovery Options. There is no listed BONES and a box appears and says "Searching for Windows installations", and then it stalls just on this pop up. This problem is quite recent, because before there is no pop up and there is simply no OS listed, so I still could not repair or restore in any case.

    -Before, when I was able to go into the advanced options on the Startup Repair disk (when he was not of "searching for Windows installations" pop up to stall on), I'd go to the command prompt in attempt to chkdsk/r C:. All bad sectors or groups or something else would be fixed, and then he would hold to step 5 of 5 when checking free space.

    -In addition, I tried to make a diagnosis of memory via the Startup Repair tool. That's what I get:

  • Windows Vista does not start in normal mode

    My Windows Vista-based computer does not start successfully in mode noirmal upward. I restart and it is very slow. Finally I can connect and my come almost all my desktop icons. Almost. At this point, it seems frozen. Left click and it becomes totally frozen, including the white frozen screen Milky wit the icons in a blurred background.   • Free games included with Windows Vista will not start.

    I tried to start one of the games for free in Windows Vista (Chess Titans, FreeCell, hearts, Mahjong Titans, Solitaire etc.) but I get an error measage: "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action.  Create an association in the Set Associaction Control Panel". {Error code: C:\User\Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\GamesExplorer\{00D8862B-6453-4957-A...}.
    These games, used to work until I have connected on the Microsoft web site and search for updates.

    I went to control panel default programs - programs - '-' associate a file or protocol type with a program, without success.

    Can anyone help or give advice as to re-download these games?

    I'm having a problem with my computer. About 2 weeks, my Windows Vista out of nowhere began to fail in the market with the infamous and hated "cannot start Windows, a recent hardware or software may have... "and the options of start that none who work. I tried to fix it several times, but Windows would only start for an hour or two, and then the screen would go black. When I tried to start up, he would go back to the Windows cannot start message.     First disconnect the external devices connected to the computer except the mouse and keyboard.

    I suggest that you try the startup repair using the windows vista installation disc.

    1. Insert the installation disc.
    2. restart your computer.
    3. click on the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock button, and then click restart.
    4. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
    Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
    5. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    6. click on repair your computer.
    7. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    8. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

    If the previous step fails then check if the computer is able to boot into the advanced boot options.

    1 restart your computer if it is running.
    2. tap on the F8 key after your initially on powers computer.
    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.
    4. use the up/down arrows to select your selection.
    5. Select Safe Mode and press enter.
    6. you should see loading drivers and wait please.
    7. you should then be on the Welcome screen.
    8. connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

  • Windows Vista will not start after the automatic installation of the patch Ms.

    My Dell laptop does an automatic installation of the latest MS patches (12/08/10) and now he can't boot into windows.  All tests show that the material is fine, but an error at the end of the "bad update patch" said test results I can not even to go back to a previous restore point.  This happened to me the year last on my desk... same thing, but it's XP which could not start after an automatic update for the Member States.  Dell technical support told me that MS knows what is happening, but it is not supposed to be public knowledge.  I need to know if there is a fix, in addition to erase everything and do a complete reinstallation of the operating system.

    Microsoft updated automatically to my vista computer today and now it does not work! It gets stuck on reboot and says "configuration updates step 3 do not turn off your computer" then hangs at 0% for a minute and recycles stuck in the same place again. Help!

    I've been many problems with my OS recently (Vista 32 bit business) and decided to reinstall (it was really a last resort). The relocation went well, but in the end, he got the black screen with the extended cursor and didn't budge (I left it overnight).

    I forced to restart at the end of the day, and now it won't start, it just says loading windows and displays the logo of loading, but will not charge.

    Safe mode will start to load the drivers, but then freeze, leaving a permanent list of drivers and a "Please wait".

    I tried to boot from the Vista startup disk, who works the Startup Repair very well and running. The first time, he said he found problems with the boot files automatically and then asks me to click on "repair and restart. Once I do, nothing changes, it's always the same.

    This resembles the faulty Ram or a hard drive does not properly, even if the systems on board diagnosis cannot capture an error!

    Of what you sayed I recon, it is a hard drive error more defective ram, try rerunning DSKCHK and see if it stops on part III, once again, if the fact, its probably your hard drive! Maybe someone else has a similar thought?

    I have owned my computer a year and a half and had a lot of problems with it. I had 3 replaced hards and a motherboard.  my computer is turned off, then back on error windows approached and evry time I click an option, the computer shuts down then restarts his return to windows error recovery. I tried to put the recovery disk in, but it does nothing I also tried windows made it sit and tried the disk that is supposed to find the r but nothing will work. all of the suggestions.
