Wireless AP do not communicate with Windows Server 2003 box on the cable network

I have a wired network which has 2 PC under Windows 7, 1 PC Windows XP Pro, 2 LAN printers and a Windows Server 2003 as customers.

The network through a switch and a router Comcast of class business.

I am trying to add a wireless network access point and when I do the AP and the box of Windows Server 2003 are unable to speak / ping each other, even if strangelyboth of devices are able to communicate with all devices and clients on the network. These two will be just talk to each other. It doesn't matter if I use an access point or wireless router. Any wireless device attached with a cable of the switch won't talk on the server and vice versa.

Laptop wireless connected to the AP take a DHCP of the router/modem Comcast address and can get on the internet, they just can't see the server as cable customers can. Any suggestion would be appreciated to grreatly.

Thank you

Greg

Hello g_gauthier70,

Your question of Windows Server is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public.

I buy Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and need to use it on a Windows Server 2003 computer. I can the downgrade yet?

No version of Acrobat is for the server... (except Terminal Server). It's technique and license number.

You can not downgrade retail licenses. Possibly of multi-user licenses.

  • CHM compatibility with Windows Server 2003

I just finished creating the first version of a help with RoboHelp HTML CHM file, and it works fine on the machine, I used to write, as well as several others. When I tried the consultation on our production machine, running Windows Server 2003, I received the good Table of contents and Index, but all pages display the error "cannot display Page"standard. Right click on the page and selecting Properties said it had res://ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_webOC.htm.

I checked the specifications of RoboHelp, and indeed, the standard version of RoboHelp is not compatible with Windows Server 2003. However, I had assumed that this meant that I couldn't run the program on a Windows Server 2003-based computer, not that I couldn't run to the exit.

This error is caused by a compatibility problem? It would help to upgrade to Server edition, or resign myself to use separate HTML files? Or is it another problem?

Hi, Sydney, and welcome to the forum,

The problem you described usually occurs when you view the contents of a file .chm remotely over a network and are due to security restrictions that Microsoft introduced in 2005. See this article for more information and workarounds:

    http://www.Grainge.org/pages/authoring/chm_mspatch/896358.htm

So the solution is either to move files .chm on a local drive or to implement the registry changes that are described in the article (on your local computer and not on the Windows 2003 Server). The best way to make these registry changes is to use the free HHReg utility, which is available here:

    http://www.EC-software.com/products_hhreg.html

To answer your question, however, I do not think that there is a difference between Windows Server 2003 and other versions of Windows as .chm files are concerned.

  • Windows Server 2003 external to the application of the Apex and listener Apex?

    Hi all

I have oracle RAC INSTALLED on solaris with three knots. I have several users with the CCR. I want to install APEX so that each user can access APEX if they need. Based on the Google search I did is not clear for me. My goal is to stay away as much as possible of the production systems. Could you please tell me which method can be good to implement this? I think following methods but I don't know if they are correct.
1 - Position the external Apex of Windows Server 2003
2 - Place the Apex listener in Windows Server 2003
3 - allow the user connect to the Windows Server to access Apex

    Thank you

    Hello

APEX needs to be installed in a database. If you do not want to expose your RAC and use a separate instance of the database, users will not be able to access the data available in the CARS (unless you create database links, but you usually don't want that).
You can install APEX Listener on your Windows 2003 to access the APEX facility in your RAC database. You must choose a J2EE container to host your listener of the APEX. See APEX listener installation guide for supported containers or search the forum or google to find out what other containers may be suitable for you (for example Apache Tomcat is not officially taken charge but able to accommodate the listener).
You need to configure the firewall and/or rules of routing for all users may access the port used by the container.

  • VMware fusion 3 - adjustment to comments does not work with Windows Server 2008

I use 3 Fusion with existing image from Fusion 2.x on Windows Server 2008. After the upgrade to Fusiion 3 (I upgraded VMware tools (I've also tried their uninstall and reinstall) too) the guest operating system does not change the resolution when resizing the window. It does not change the resolution if/when I goes into full screen mode. I have an 'exclamation' mark in Device Manager and it says that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ». I tried with and without 3D acceleration enabled.

WS2008 is where I spend most of my time in fusion, I hope that this can be solved somehow (a config directive file or something perhaps?)?

    Thank you

    Miha.

He had a similar position and the problem is specific to the version of the virtual machine virtual material.

Can upgrade you your VM hardware version? (Fusion UI have probably an option present as 'version Upgrade VM HW'... cannot check now but 90% sure about that.)

    Thank you.

  • [CS4 Server Win]: Plugin does not work on Windows Server 2003?

    Hello

    can anyone help?

My plugin works on Windows XP and Windows Vista.

On the two operating systems, the methods of scripts are visible in ExtendScript Toolkit and can be called by javascript.

On Windows Server 2003 that my plugin is not running, the script methods are not visible in ExtendScript Toolkit!

    What is missing?

    Thank you

    Alois Blaimer

Looks like you are using a compiler more later-than-recommended that refers to a later-than-recommended runtime library that is not included in the OS and/or InDesign.

    Either:

    1. Use the correct compiler
    2. Discover the missing library and install it
    3. twist the compiler to use the correct library

(I would recommend against 2) and 3) because these hacks tend to break.

For example if you delete something through your runtime lib that has been allocated by InDesign through competitors runtime lib, you could screw up memory management.

  • Windows Server 2003 r2 to the Horizon

Hi everyone, we are running out of sight Horizon 5.3.0 build-1427931, works very well for OS al lthe modern we attached, end user connects via a Wyse Zero Client P45.

We have an obligation to run a number of VMs of Windows Server 2003 r2, and I would include these in the field of the view of the Horizon as they should be used as workstations in training. Agent 5.3 is not compatible with this version of Windows, I'm looking for suggestions on how best to achieve this requirement. A previous, compatible Agent version HV work?

The current alternative thinking is to build a basic Windows 7 or 8 comments with the agent of the HV and run an RDP session off the 2003 server machine. The only downside is that it doubles the amount of machines, I need running.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!

    Kind regards

    Tim

2003 R2 can be used only as a source of server terminal server in sight. You can run 2008 R2 VM as sources with a view Desktop 5.3, but otherwise you should use the versions of desktop operating system.

  • 16-bit data base software does not communicate with NT4 server on the windows computer 7.

We are a small manufacturing company. I installed old software database (16 bit) on windows 7 (64-bit) a year earlier. This software has worked for a few months and then it stop working. Database software still works on the old xp based computers, but it does not work on my windows 7. We believe that this database software is not communicating with our windows NT4 Server. It could be the update of windows 7, but we're not sure. I contact you because this database software is worked for two months on my computer and then suddenly stop working, it's strange, and now I am not able to install again. So is there someone who can suggest me what would be my next step.

Windows 7 64-bit is not a 16-bit subsystem or a way to install the NTVDM extension that supports. You need to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7.

  • D Link Wireless Adapter does not work with Windows 7

I looked in the Windows Compatibility Center and it says my D-Link WUA-2340 wireless adapter is compatible with Windows 7. Our newest computer can see my wireless network, but does not connect. Worked fine with Vista. Then it is compatible or not? I downloaded the latest drivers from the D-Link's Web site, this version is one year old. Support D-link told me that it is not compatible with Win 7. They say that it is not. MS says it's. It does not connect. Anyone know what is happening? I do not have to buy a new adapter.

    Hi Mike,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

D Link WUA-2340 is compatible with Windows 7, but you will need to download the software of your product from the link below. Select the appropriate Version of the operating system before you download.

You can also try to change the settings of the firewall at various levels and check if that helps.

    1. Open Windows Firewall click on the Start button and then click Control Panel.
    2. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall.
