• Default wireless keyboard fn key

  I just got a new HP Omni-27 (Windows 7 64-bit) desktop that comes with a keyboard wireless KG-1162.  The problem is that the status of the function keys fn is reversed from what it should be.  For example, the f10 key reduces the brightness of the screen rather than send a f10 code to the application, and fn + f10 sends a code f10 instead of dimming display.  This makes the keyboard extremely frustrating when you try to use applications that make heavy use of function keys, such as MS Office products and developer IDEs.  Another example is the interactive games that require the use of the function keys, but you rarely have a free extra finger also hold down the fn key.  It is analogous to trying to use a keyboard that is not a caps lock key, but always acts as if shift caps lock was on.  Several keyboards that I use as part of a day, it's the only one who acts in this way.  I would really like to find a way to solve this problem, before you throw this keyboard and buy one that works as it should.  Here is what I tried and learned so far:

  • The references very little, I was able to find in a Google search, that is to suggest things that don't work, or suggest that it is a problem of provider.
  • A conversation with HP support did not help.
  • I checked that no HP wireless keyboard connected to a computer not HP laptop running Windows 7 is correctly.
  • I checked that a USB keyboard plugged into my PC works correctly.
  • My previous HP PC with another keyboard HP wireless Vista worked properly, while he lived.

  My conclusion is that the problem is probably related to the driver for this particular model of wireless keyboard.  Can anyone help with a solution (other than to throw him out and use one that works correctly)?

  [Updated to add more recent information from the keyboard manual].

  The f1 through f11 keys do or multimedia keys, standard function keys. The default value is multimedia.

  To switch multimedia on the standard function, press fn + esc keys simultaneously. This locks the standard function keys. To switch back to standard feature of multimedia press, the fn + esc keys simultaneously again.

  Pressing the fn key at the same time with a f1 to the f11 key, performs the standard function.

  Press fn + fx at startup of the system to use the function keys to access and use the features of the BIOS (for example, the boot or system recovery Menu).

  If the keyboard and mouse do not respond, refer to the mouse and keyboard wireless information located with your other product troubleshooting documents.

  For a better battery performance and mouse, avoid using your mouse on a dark or shiny surface and turn the mouse off the power when you do not use.

• PhotoSmart 6520: unable to connect to the site w / wireless

  I recently had an unsolvable problem with my Photosmart 6520 involving his inabilaty to print photos.  It has now almost completely off.  I use it with my desktop (using WIN XP) and two other laptops in the House (the one with WIN 7, the other with 8)

  Last week, we noticed that it's no longer access wireless.  The two laptops showed that it among their devices, but he showed in offline mode.  After being unable to reset it online, I deleted the WIN phone 7 to to see if I could find him.  He is unable to do so.  The machine to WIN 8 had no better luck.

  I don't know if the two problems are related, and while I rarely print from the laptop, I'm worried that it may be symptomatic of a breakdown coming in the opposite direction.

  Earlier today, he gave a paper size mismatch message when I tried to run a normal report for the main tray.  I ran diagnostics on this topic and got to resume printing, but I see the smear of ink on the edges of a few leaves.

  The unit is a little less than two years.  Should I waive this subject, or is - this salvagable?

  I understand that, as well as a print quality problem, you are also not able to print wirelessly with your all-in-one Photosmart HP 6520. Now, I previously working with you on the following thread: Photosmart 6520 refuses to print photos and had exhausted all efforts to solving the problems with you. In the end, I had to refer you to our queue of Technical Support for the hardware support that your product has met a hardware failure, from which it cannot recover from.

  Part of our troubleshooting was to run a semi Full Reset. We had done that on March 2, 2015. If you remember, this semi Full Reset resets all the settings of your printer. This includes wireless information. Therefore, the wireless feature will need to be reconfigured from scratch on your product. The printer should also be added to each computer that you use with to re-establish the wireless connection.

  If you still want to attempt to reconfigure and reinstall your printer wireless, I can provide you with these steps. But your product is defective. Therefore, things will continue to act on you until you get that fix the printer or replace it with another model.

  Here you will find your wireless information. The flashing light wireless can be ignored because you do not want wireless. Follow the complete directions on the USB connection. Do not insert the USB cable before said to do. You will also find all the software and drivers on this site.

• HP Deskjet 3510: Cannot connect wireless with new router

  I got a new modem with router wireless integrated into my cable company.  Now, I am unable to connect wirelessly to my printer. He seems incapable of finding new wireless information.  The closest I could get the printer screen advised to 'hold the WPS button. '  However, my cable company has confirmed that the WPS NO button there and is not an option.

• DeskJet 3050 a will not connect to my wireless network

  I absoulutely can't get my Deskjet 3050 has to connect to my home wifi connection.  It is a Motorola modem/router (wireless) model SBG6580.

  I went through the doctor for help (don't show me the wireless information.  The button did not work.  I tried to use my home password and id, but it does not work.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Problem with the HP on a Pavilion DV6-6013tu wireless Assistant

  I have a Pavilion DV6-6013tu using windows 7-64 bit operating system.

  For some unknown reason, this morning, I started to get the error message 'Wireless information not available' and also the message that the application will now be down.

  When I try using the control panel to open the HP Wireless Assistant, he refuses to open and after a long period comes up with the error message above as well.

  The blue light is on the f12 key and I can connect to the internet via my wireless modem router.

  I can also print via my wireless printer.

  Can anyone help?

  HP support have forced me to down load an updated version of HP Support assistant, who made no difference what so ever.

  I can see the point HP wireless assistant in programs and features (via Control Panel), but until I can get a new update so that it won't move forward to remove it.

  HP support say jut ignore the error message and continue to use the computer!

  The laptop is not another year and I expect them the advice they gave me constructive assistance.

  Anyone out there can teach an old dog new tricks, short easy to understand steps even if, as I am not tech savvy at this stage in my life.

  It took 4 days after upgrading my iPhone 6 s, as well as for the new iOS 10 before I start to get my LTE dropping connection randomly. Cricket Wireless informed I replace the SIM card, it did not work.

• OfficeJet Pro 8620: Locked out of the printer settings

  Good evening

  I was unable to print wireless so I did a network reset the unit. When I rebooted the machine, I proceeded to return to the network settings in order to capture the wireless information however I received the error "function has been locked by the administrator or the person who set up your printer".

  I'm not sure what is the problem with that I'm the one who created this printer. I assign a password to the machine, and with that, I have no option to enter in order to unlock all the features (there is usually an option under 'Tools'.).

  After some searching through the forums, I printed a wireless test and the results were a single FAILURE for Wireless on.

  Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  He had a semi full reset, which once preformed resturned unit to its state of semi reset and allowed me to change the settings I made.

  Look in the lower right corner of the page for product manuals, information system and software downloads.

  The manuals do not provide much information about the system, other than how to configure the system.

  These manuals provide little information on the operation wireless on your system.

  Hi all, my Deskjet 3070 has stopped printing via ePrint, "internal error." I changed from a dynamic address to a static address and now ePrint is completely disabled. have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but it still picked the static address.

  Question: How can I return to a dynamic address and try again.

  With the help of AT & T I installed a new wireless moden last night.  I have updated the info on my printer to the new wireless information.  It is said that it is installed, but when I try to pring I get an erroe msg that says file interface 8200The user is missing.     I even tried ti uninstall the printer and I get the same error code.  It won't let me even uninstall the program.  Help, please

• OfficeJet Pro8620: Error printer Officejet Pro8620

  I'm on my third Officejet Pro8620 since January 20, 2016.  The first printer kept to give a message to ' Please stop printer, then press "with lights flashing.  After what happens every few minutes, I picked up the printer to the store and exchanged for another the next day.  The second printer, which is always in my position, has worked for a few days and started doing the same thing.  After discussing on HP and having the person try to solve the problem and saying that it was a hardware problem, HP sent me an another Officejet Pro8620 to their service center.  The printer arrived late yesterday.  I installed today.  He was not running more than a few minutes when the same error came on the screen.  The power button, the light, the Blue House, help and return symbles all the flash.  Also, it disconnects my wireless network.  I don't know what to do anymore.  Help!

  Excellent - the printer is functional.

  Have we been attentive closer we would have asked you if you try to use a non standard WiFi configuration.  It is often the details that make the difference.  The smile.

  You can try Direct wireless.  No warranty; There may be a few minutes to test.

  The User Guide explains the implementation and Direct wireless configuration.

  See Chapter 8, Page 112

  You can enter the wireless information necessary to secure the connection to the front panel of the printer.  WPA / WPA2 and AES is the likely types of security.

  If you have problems with installation, call your MiFi provider and ask for help connect a printer to your network without wire of the MiFi.
