Wireless light is always BLUE, even if wireless is disabled - HPG62

HP G62-340us

Windows 7 64 bit

Atheros AR9285 version 9.1.0.323 (should be the latest driver)

The wireless light is still blue. When the computer first starts, it is orange, then it turns blue on the windows loading screen and stays like that, even if I turn off wirelss. I can use the F12 key to turn on and off, but does not turn the light orange to indicate active wireless. When I turn wireless off, he can always see other wireless networks, but not mine.

I do not have my computer all the time or even when I'm not there with her, I want to connect manually. Also, I have my connection to connect manually, which works, but I want to have a set manual wireless also. At the present time it lights up when I start the computer. I had set it up for not being able to turn around until I use the wireless F12 button but now I can't understand what changed so it turns on automatically. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thank you

Hello

You are right that wireless indicator should change from Amber (Off) to blue (on).

Download the driver from the link below and save it to your desktop.

FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50001-50500/sp50498.exe

Once the download is complete, right-click the installer n select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When you are done, reboot the laptop.

Best wishes

  • Wireless switch stays blue even when when off

I noticed recently that I'm disconnects and I don't know why. When I ask for a diagnosis, it is said the Betacam wireless is disabled when in fact it is not since the blue light means that it is. When I try to put out of service, the light does not change to orange to indicate that it is now disabled. Instead, I have to restart my computer to get the light to the off position. Once I do and tilt back to blue, it captures the wireless signal.

I don't know what to do. Help, please.

    Hello

Check the settings of power management applied to the wireless network card driver. To do this, follow these steps.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of objects, expand network adapters.
    3. double-click on the sub element that refers to the wireless adapter.
    4. click on the power management tab, and uncheck all the options.
    5. apply the settings, and then restart the computer so that the changes take effect.

For more technical support options, contact the manufacturer of the system.

  • Satellite Pro L series: fan always running even at IDLE when LAN is on

the fan always running even at IDLE when lan is on
Thanks for any help, that can stop the fan...

    Just see your questions:
What model of laptop do you have exactly?
    What system do you use?
What exactly do you mean by power of LAN?

I can tell you that the cooling modules are controlled by fan table stored in the BIOS.
Usually, the fan starts to spin if the CPU would be responsible for some unique applications/processes. It would also be possible that your fan is running continuously with low performance to maintain the low temperature. This isn't a real problem for laptop.

If the OS is W7 using its start menu search bar.   For example, type Wireless and see what you get.   For example, on my HP Tablet that finds its Wireless Wizard that shows the status of wireless and a button allowing you to toggle it on or off.

  • T410s HDD LED lighting is always that the charger is in.

I bought Lenovo T410s in pretty bad shape. I decided to refubish one, because I have a few spare parts of T400s. So I disassembled the laptop, cleaned that and installation rear. Because the LCD is faulty, I changed the LCD set (I put all the T400s), changing only the LCD bezel (but the only difference between the bezzel is model registration on it).

I have instaled the dos system. After completing the installation of the system with all the updated drivers, I noticed that the LED on the HARD drive in the LCD (one under LCD) Panel is always lighting that the charger is in. When I take out, she stops lighting. Anyone knows what might happen?

I know for several generations and years of experience with maps of system case and regular round, if the HARD Drive LED is connected backwards, the light is always when there is power to the motherboard.

    Good luck!

  • 4540 proBook s (Energy Star): Wireless got disabled - unable to start - no WiFi or Bluetooth

My laptop worked well until one day all of a sudden the wireless got off. Switch wireless on my laptop has definitely turned amber (medium amber wireless is disabled and white wireless is enabled). Here are my comments or things that I tried in vain to solve the problem:

    1. When you press the plane mode switch gets toggled indicating that the switch is responding well but does not change the status of wireless.
    2. I checked the Device Manager and there was no sign of WIFI or Bluetooth. Then I reinstalled the drivers concerned. Still, there was no sign of WLAN & Bluetooth.
    3. Then I tried Safe Mode. Once again no sign of WIFI or Bluetooth in the Device Manager.
    4. Then I went for the Mode safe mode with networking. Once again no sign of WIFI or Bluetooth in the Device Manager.
    5. I tried disabling and activation then wireless in the start menu (F10), but still it did not work.
    6. I contacted HP Support. They took control of the remote control of my laptop and just reinstalled the drivers and told me that they could not solve the problem.

I don't know that it's more a software problem that emit materials. There was a small bit of software called HP Wireless Assistant that could replace the physical wireless switch but unfortunately I can't find a compatible version to win 8.1.

Can anyone help me please with this problem. It's terrible to use internet using Ethernet. Every day that passes is like a punishment for me. Please help me...

Have you tried reinstalling the wireless card to be sure it has a good connection? Try to run to the top once with it deleted... then stop and reinstall.

  • Wireless is disabled when I Boot on my PC

Hey everybody. This is my first question! Yay!

Anywho, I have an ongoing annoying problem. Whenever I turn on my PC, Wi - Fi is disabled. I have to manually press the power button to re-enable wireless. I am currently running Windows 7 Professional on a HP G70t laptop.

After I press the turn wireless on button, everything works fine. It's just when I restart my PC when wireless is disabled. Any advice?

So to conclude my problem, I found a solution.

Aparently, my network card has been disabled by Windows to save energy. I disabled, and now a WLAN Access starts successfully.

Thanks again, everyone, for all of the help!

  • Charge light is always on!

If the charging (aka Lightning) on the front of my DV2 light does not turn off.

It should only be on, obviously, when the battery is charging.  But when I run strictly on the battery and the power supply is disconnected, the light is on.  Even stranger is when the computer is turned off, the light is still.  The only way I can get the light turns off is by removing the battery.

    The thin battery charges, BTW.

    Problem solved:

Thus, it seems that among the housing screws was pinching or coming into contact with the cable that connects the main Board and the power switch/lights card device.  When the screw is closely tight, it some ways quarrelled with the cable and the power light stay on, through the battery.

Break the wide of the screw or the opening to the top of the case and by adjusting the cable fixed the problem.

I am sure that very few people will encounter this problem, but he would come to the top, this is a possible solution.

It was on a 1043CA HP DV2, but will be the same layout for all DV2 notebook computers.

  • UI has no adjustable color - is always blue

These arrogant b * rds Adobe did not listen.

It's ALWAYS blue.  You can darken the blue and you can figure out the blue, but you cannot change it.

The amount or the criticism this blue plan has received since its introduction - pages and pages of it--both through the Ae and Pr, and yet it is still blue.  I simply don't believe it.

Completely unusable for some of us, professionals who work more seniority.  We are clearly demographic wrong these days.  Not hip enough.

It has been an exciting fun, frustrating, infuriating, intimidating 19-year-old, but that's enough.  I'm from here.

    Reason: needed more descriptive title

    Hi Ben,

Just decide for yourself if the benefits of the program outweigh the poor aesthetic concerns and out from time to time. Life is short.

Unfortunately, the problem goes a little deeper than that. The blue color is hard to see for some users, especially those of us get over the years. It's really frustrating for them. For this reason, I call for a fix.

    Thank you

I think that's not the full Errormessage should include a reference to a file, but you have two options:
    1. debugging: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463009.aspx
and post the results here, so I can take a look at this.

2 disable the cache and the cloak: the funtion are in your BIOS, usually under the CMOS settings.

After two years, I get the message that my wireless card is "off" and I need to press the 'Wireless' to turn on. Program assistant wireless allows me to see option to turn on, but it is not clickable.

Status light is now red, normally blue. Wireless networks do not even appear on the options for the connection, dial only.

  • Satellite C650: Battery indicator is always orange even after a full charge

My toshiba laptop C650 has indicator sistem to always load amber.
Even if it is fully charged.

If I disconnect from charger it works on battery long enough, that tell me may battery is ok.
But why this indicator stay amber? Is there a problem?

I have to worry about this?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Usually, the battery indicator should go green (color depending on phone model) if the battery is fully charged.
If the battery indicator changes not amber green/blue then this would mean that the battery is not completely charged
Well, maybe you should try to calibrate the battery once more
Discharge the battery to his completely empty, then load it again until the battery status would show 100% charge then discharge the battery once again this procedure should be repeated two, three times in the line!

If this is not enough, well, you might try a new battery but I put t know if its worth it to buy a new battery if the current battery still works well.
