  • ARC mouse jumps, jumps and lags on the screen.

Original title: Arc touch mouse problem

    Installation: Win7 32-bit
    Mouse: Intellipoint 8.20.486.0

I used my new mouse wireless Arc Touch for a few months, and I noticed a problem that gets worse gradually. It's now to the point of complete gene.

The issue: the mouse pointer jumps and skips or lags on the screen. She always does with usage, but real offset a leap occurs intermittently (in other words, the mouse can sometimes work correctly, but guaranteed it is de-energized several times during navigation, session, etc.).

Browsing the forums I noticed of course questions of others, but none are quite the same thing or maybe just broke the extent wherever I did the behavior of the mouse.

My first thought was: computer settings. I checked the drivers (with 8.20.486.0 at display time) which were already very good. I re-downloaded and installed in the case of corruption.

I checked another mouse Wireless: works perfectly without offspring (also a microsoft bluetrack) which works perfectly.

Then, I changed the batteries in the Arc Touch. A still jump/gal.

Finally, I noticed that the blue light seems to waver. When the mouse is stationary, it is bright and intense. When movement starts to happen, it fade dramatically and start blinking or completely off for a fraction of a second. I think the material is defective, but is not complete of course.

Any other person with mouse problems seen elsewhere? My other mouse bluetrack does not have this flicker.

Try to put your receiver in mouse as close to mouse that you can without having a gene and see if that has any effect.

  • The mouse freezes at startup properly off. Mouse only thaws and works correctly when I hold the power button to stop and turn back.

I just got a new Inspiron 1545 computer 2 weeks ago and it works fine but I got a problem for the last two days where my mouse will freeze after that I stopped it using the stop option. When my computer starts you can move the mouse, but after a few seconds, it freezes, and you can't move the mouse but the keyboard works. I try to restart the computer with the option to reboot from the start menu and when it starts up to the top of the mouse freezes still. No matter how many times I try to stop or restart properly mouse unlock not. It only works if I stopped it by pressing the power and then switch on again. Any ideas as to what I could do to fix this?

The sad truth is that the mouse freeze problem is back. I searched the forum for other solutions, but so far without success.

I am currently using MS Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and just to make sure that the problem is with the mouse, I inverted this mouse on my other laptop which works also on Windows 7. Mouse freeze problem is replicated, which never happened before for my other laptop.
Conclusion, until Microsoft is able to solve this problem, I opted for Logitech. I bought a Logitech M235 wireless mouse last night and keep your fingers crossed that the mouse freeze problem will disappear.
Life is too short to be stressed more mouse freeze problem.

When I scroll with the wheel of the mouse Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse, it jumps instead of sliding to the bottom of the page.  It ignores even the large amounts.  This can be solved? Rose

    Hi Rose,

The problem occurs on specific applications?

This can be for one of the following reasons:
    1. bad mouse is selected in the IntelliPoint software.
    2. conflict with other mouse or pointer (non-Microsoft) software.
    3. problem with IntelliPoint software or drivers.
4 application does not correctly recognize scrolling the mouse messages.

I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the KB article:
The problems with the mouse button or scroll the parameters
Note: Put the computer to normal mode after the troubleshooting in clean boot mode.

Hope this solves the problem. If the problem persists, you can write to us and we will be happy to help you further.
  • my wireless mouse jumps everywhere during typing

Have windows 7.  My wireless mouse jumps around when you type anything.  He breaks into a previously written text often in written sentences or words with a combination of letters.  Can be typed in the first few letters of a Word and then the cursor jump break in a word phrase or s, with perhaps the rest of the letters of the last word typed.  Why what is happening, what should I do if anything I can do to remedy this annoying situation?   This can be corrected?  How can I fix it? I do not use a mouse pad, could this be the problem?

    Hi Karen,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community where you can find all the answers related to windows.

According to the description, it looks like you are facing a problem with moving mouse pointer guard, this problem could be due to a virus or the mouse settings.

He would be grateful if you could answers to these questions in order to help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. What is the brand and model of the mouse?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

    Change the mouse settings:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-mouse-settings

    Method 2:

I suggest you perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

Clean boot will check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve problems using the clean boot in Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once the diagnosis has been made, make sure that you try to step 3 of the article to reset the computer as usual

    Method 3:

I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is no virus.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem
