Workflow for specific products/catalogues

Hi people. I use BC to a customer for over a year now. Online store has been produced all downloadable, so it worked pretty much on autopilot and all customers had to worry about was it supply new content on a regular basis, which was the issue of the use of BC. Problem is the client now wants to introduce one or two products that need to be delivered physically and she must be organized manually.

My plan was to implement a workflow that automatically sends the customer whenever one of these products is bought. The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to attach a workflow to a specific product in the catalogue. The only option seems to be to set up a workflow for all orders, which means that the customer receives hundreds of emails about download purchases that she didn't need. Of course, you then run the risk of missing a manual delivery e-mail in among others. Clearly I'm missing something obvious (again). Can someone help me?

In short, how can I get a notification if someone buys A product, but not if they buy products B, C, D, E...?

Oh man that is rude. I really don't think there is a way to manage the workflow based on a catalogue/product in particular.

However what we can do is set up your customer in the CRM, and then use drop shipping to warn when a physical product is purchased.

inside, it is a notice of workflow, just a little less dynamic.

  • Discount prices for some products in a catalog

    My apologies if this has been answered, I have search but could not find an answer.

    Is there a way to create a discount code that is associated with a specific product in a catalog?

    And / or is it possible to apply a percentage of permanent discount for an existing Subscriber?

    Basically, I'm looking for a way to provide a subset of customers with current reduced prices on some items in a catalog

    Yes, you can apply a percentage discount to a specific customer. To do this, you must go to CRM > customers > subscriptions and under catalogue should Discount the discount that should apply to the user for the particular catalog:

    This percentage is applied to the catalog to a specific product.

    If you want a particular product release, then you can create a separate catalog and add the product to it and apply the discount code / catalog discount on the catalog.

    It looks like all the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from the pages of support again.

    This happened earlier in the week also.

    Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.

    Whether the weekend will not help much either.

  • Effective workflow for adding images

    I use RoboHelp HTML 2015 to the author of guides to the user for software products.  My workflow for creating often involves the capture and the addition of images, I have written a text in HR.  For example, I could

    • Write several paragraphs about a topic in HR
    • Make a screenshot of the software product using SnagIt to save the PNG file in a subfolder of the project named Images.
    • Back to HR and click the Image button to insert an image in Design view.

    This is the point where my workflow slows to a crawl, and I'm looking for suggestions on how to reduce the number of steps/click.  The next part of the workflow looks like this:

    • In the Picture dialog box, I navigate to the subfolder that contains my images and the new PNG file.
    • Given that I have not used the new image in a project document yet, the name of the file does not appear in the list of files.
    • I click on another PNG file that was used and manually change the name to match the name of my new image file.
    • The preview window displays the new image, and I click OK to insert the image into the document.

    We try to use a lot of images in our user guides, these extra steps end up adding a good amount of time for the process of creation.  They also distract the task at hand - the creating user's guide.

    There are two things that would make it a lot faster for me.  The first would be for me to be able to say HR folder I want to find my image files so that I don't have to navigate every time I insert a picture.  The second would be for HR to show me the image files, even if they have not been added to a document in my project.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed up my work flow while keeping the capacity of the author/capture/add images at the same time?

    Yes, I feel your pain on the bit to type a few characters as Paul suggested. I begged the developers of this feature for a long time while now nothing does not.

    I see two ways that you can consider which would probably improve this workflow. Both are eerily similar.

    In the first approach, you have a window Explorer Windows open on your site and images. So when you want a picture, you more pop to this window and just click and drag the image in the editor.

    In the second approach, the pod Resouorce Manager allows you to basically do the same thing I told in the first approach. The only real difference here is that you first need to configure the pod of Resource Manager to point to the location that you want to use.

    I'm using Adobe CS4 on Mac OS 10.10.5. Friday, Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 version no longer works with this message: "License for this product has stopped working" and the instructions to uninstall and reinstall the program. I did, but now, again, I have the same message pops up in the middle of my workflow. Nothing has changed in my program Adobe CS4/CS5.5 licensed facilities to cause this error.

    What is the solution please? I found only the instructions related to Windows on the forums.

    It doesn't seem to be liquid tag for related products. I am now using {tag_relatedproducts}.

    I would use {{relatedproducts}} because I would use Reiunnaitre = "true" to get rid of the default table.

    Am I missing something or is there no liquid tags for related products? It would be useful to have a.

  • Custom template for related products?

    So, this is the first time I try to customize an ecommerce solution beyond the normal stuff of the BC. Customer wants a specific view for related products, so my first thought was to use a custom template, but it doesn't seem to work.

    So I almost with the help of the model of module, a decline in the amount of 1 - and hoping I can use a custom template for the display of the small product instead since I use that related products.

    I forgot something? Is it possible to use a custom template for the {tag_relatedproducts}?

    Thank you Joel however I have more control over the layout as a few styles of it. I ended up jumping in with the beta version of liquid to get what I need, what gave me some other customizations.

    TAGS cannot take a custom template variable, I chose to store it in a tag "capture." So based on some conflicts of naming of my catalog images, I was able to target specific catalogs, then browse related products and build them up as I wanted.

    Here is an example of what I chose to go with.

  • CS6 upgrade returns: "this serial number is not for a product calling it".

    I have CS5 and have used it for about 2 years. The serial number for CS5 it is registered to my adobe id.

    So I decided to move to CS6 today. I registered so that my ID adobe as well.

    When I open CS6 and enter my new serial number, it tells me:

    Serial number you provided is valid, but calling it a product was not found on this computer

    Which is strange because CS5 is currently installed and running on this computer

    I understand John.  It was a rare event as usually the previous version serial number should be accepted.  That's why I recommend you to contact directly our support team in case of series available in respect of the account numbers cannot be used successfully.

    By contacting our support team directly at the Customer Contact then the exact serial number CS5 can be watched and specific corrective measures can be taken.  For example, if the serial number of the Creative Suite 5 is for a volume license then is refused by a retail installer even if there may be a way to upgrade valid.
