worn microSD slot?

Hello all-

I hope I'm not jumping the gun when I say this, but I think that my 1 GB Express (which, fortunately, I've owned for about 11 months) may be left to pasture. Here's the situation:

After a period of lying dormant for about 3 weeks, I decided to put the new files on the Express (a SanDisk 4 GB) microSD card, also in the internal memory. After the sync in Windows Media Player, I looked in the system information and he showed that the space has been used on the expansion card and also in the brief internal. However, only the files in the internal memory have been recognized, not the card. Thinking that this might be a problem of format, I did a clean format of the internal memory and expansion on the player card... and I also did a format the microSD card in my laptop (FAT32). Unfortunately, I still had the same problem with the map - internal expansion memory is fine, the data is on the expansion card, but the Express will not read the card.

I thought I might have a problem with the card itself. But - this 4 GB microSD card was used first in a BlackBerry Curve, then in my fuze 8 GB without any bad Effect (the "rocket" has now an 8 GB expansion card and it works perfectly).

My questions for everyone are the following: If the microSD expansion slot can go wrong?  What is my Express now relegated to 1 GB?

Any help or idea would be welcome. Thanks in advance...

Glenn

You just keep trying. I think that the express is just unstable at times and have trouble managing the size of the storage media. My express is also 1gig and two years with a sandisk 4 GB micro. Exactly the same problems, but kept in formatting, the express and the sd card (on pc and express). After a few reformats it syncs and everything is ok, but the next time you synchronize with new songs, you might have the same problem. Just keep with the fitness until it is ok again, and then again... and again. Little complicated, but it is such a nice mp3 - I can't throw.

SanDisk, I think you have a winner here for the price, pity you abandoned the express. Where in the world can you get the features and potential of expansion memory of 16 GB at a price?

  • I know its been discussed hundreds of times... MicroSD

I just came back from visiting my mom and she had just bought a brand new Acer 3.0.1 running Droid tablet. She showed me all the clever features that his was and she even said that he had a MicroSD slot. Curious person I am I put my 16 GB MicroSD card in the slot and low and behold, it worked. This track a bit me off. Why he's working on his Acer and not my Moto XOOM, running the same version of the OS. Any ideas as to why they have thiers and we have ours not?

  • Yet an another microSD Question (it's different!)

Hello, new Member here! (^^) And Yes, I use the search option. I have read the FAQ; and I look at the manual.  And my question was never answered.  I hope someone answer me soon!  Thanks in advance!

PS: Can I suggest a topic "microSD (HC)" added to the FAQ?  It could include my questions and questions of other people as well. = D

In any case... I have problems with my MicroSD Kingston 2 GB card. The card works fine on my computer, but it does not work in my Sansa Fuze 2 GB drive.  Not at all.  And Yes, I only put MP3 files on the card... not video.

I noticed that many people had similar problems (but not exactly the same thing), so I was wondering:

    1) products Kingston are incompatible with the Sansa? Other people keep problems with cards Kingston, so I thought I'd ask.

    2) that I must have a microSDHC card? My card is a microSD card.

    3) the card must be formatted in FAT16 exactly?  One of your textbooks said I should use "FAT16 or higher"... but when I formatted in FAT32, it still does not work. "" The map was originally in FAT format, and it did not work in this format either.

... Not sure if this will help, but my computer is a Windows Vista. And he gave me 4 formatting options: NTFS, FAT, FAT32, exFAT.

    And if all else fails...
    4) what is the warranty for my Sansa product, just in case the microSD slot is broken?  I bought it in late July or early August of this year (I still have my receipt + guaranteed somewhere; it is irrelevant at the moment because I recently moved). I'm still in my warranty or not?

It's a good idea to insert or remove a card when the player is turned off. The card slowly and gently.

"What are the chances that my microSD card will get stuck in the drive of Fuze?

I have heard talk of this never happens. My digital camera has a similar mechanism, but uses a full size SDHC.

  • XOOM 2 ME: SD card

Media edition will have a functional COMPLETELY SD card?

In the press release for the United Kingdom, there is no SD card be mentioned or included in the technical specifications:

    http://mediacenter.Motorola.com/press-releases/Motorola-mobility-launches-two-new-tablets-in-the-UK-...

the site Motodev for WiFi only version says: "Not available in all areas" for the SD card.

    http://developer.Motorola.com/products/Xoom-2-me-mz607/

As a logical conclusion, it seems that the United Kingdom is an area where the SD card is not available in the WiFi only XOOM 2.

    J,

    Thanks for your reply.

the only version of wifi for ME is just being released in the United Kingdom at the moment - I am trying to confirm if this version has indeed a microSD for storage expansion slot. You tube pre version reviews of this product of last month would imply that the only wifi version doesn't have a microSD slot but I guess the spec may have changed for the full release.

get an answer on this would help me decide on my purchase.

  • fastboot failed (write command failed)

Yesterday, I received my motorcycle X Pure 2015 and have everything set up. The phone itself works very well. Now I want to unlock the bootloader so that I can root the phone to use the Ti backup, etc. I followed the instructions on the page of Motorola to the https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b to the letter. However, when I run 'fastboot oem get_unlock_data' initial fastboot command, fastboot returns the following error:

Broken: (Writing the order failed (unknown error))

    Finish. total duration: 5.031 s

I have USB debugging and OEM, unlock enabled both in developer options. The Pure starts in mode fastboot without any problem and 'fastboot devices' lists of my phone, so I make a connection. I am very experienced with Android and rooting different phones, as well as simultaneous use adb and fastboot, but I'm stuck on this one. Web searches have not turned much, probably because the phone is so new.

    Any ideas?

Please do not take into account. I discovered that the problem was with my USB Setup. Everything is good now and I've unlocked the bootloader. Thank you to bike for the process simple and very nice phone! The unlockable bootloader, independence of the carrier and the microSD slot are the main reasons I went with the Pure.

  • E280 v1 on Mac stay connected

I have a Sansa e280 v1 player I love it.  Double Yes, because it works with Rockbox.  On Windows or Linux, using MSC mode, the drive works fine.

On Mac, I have questions.  I plug the player and it is mounted on the desktop, showing the internal memory and microSD card.  After it mounts, the player said in writing and their going immediately disconnected.

The player will appear always on the desktop, but as soon as you try and do something for the player, it blocks the Finder to that disconnect it from the Mac.

I installed Rockbox on it and used the USB of Rockbox mode and it gives me the same question.

If I go to MTP mode, it connects and remains connected, but the Mac does not PSG, then the player never mount on the desktop.

    Stats:

Sansa e280 v1 with the latest firmware

Mac Mini 2.0 Ghz with Snow Leopard installed. 4 GB of RAM and 2 other external USB HDs.

Sansa is connected to a powered USB hub.  Same problem occurs if the MicroSD slot is inserted or not.

  • Save music directly in view?

Hi, I was wondering if you can record music directly to the view, as if you plugged it can you download something from the internet directly on the view? Also, you can set LimeWire to record songs directly to the display?

    Thank you

    Hey, we meet again!

To answer your question: you have the choice to put the display in MTP (media transfer protocol) mode, which means XP/Vista and MediaPlayer treat the view as a device of dedicated support, or MSC mode.  In the second case, the view (and the microSD slot) appear on your computer as readers.  For me, drives E and F.  Therefore, it is completely up to you where your downloads are going: just say Limewire (or any program) that you want to save in the XYZ folder on drive internal or external of either view and here, they will.

On a Mac or Linux, system not so sure.

  • Help the new rocket!

I just bought a rocket from best buy and I tried to download the disc supplied withit so that I could download music front that the best buy store powered by rhapsody. For some reason, it would not be completed the installation on my laptop. Also, I tried to download music from my PC. Download music, but others didn't even if they appear on the "rocket", but even then it flashes only different number of the titles of the songs but ican never play. My PC shows that these songs were synchronized, but I can't get it to play, and I just don't know what to do! Someone pls HELP! Oh yes, by the way, I'm VERY technically challanged, any information that can be put in the simplest terms would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

Since none of the songs that put you on the "rocket" will play, we're going to start from scratch.

Go to settings and then format and go ahead and format. That erase all the useless songs and leave the "rocket" the way that it is out of the box.

Now let's try an experiment. Go to settings/USB mode and put the "rocket" in MSC mode. You have all just old .mp3 on your computer files?  If this is not the case, go to Spinner and download a freebie. Connect the "rocket", look into workstation or computer, and you should see two new hard drives for the "rocket". Copy the mp3 first in alphabetical order, either in a new folder you can name or just on the drive letter. (The first is the "rocket" itself, the other is the microSD slot)

Unplug it and see if the song comes and plays. That should tell us if the rocket is able to connect to the computer. You can always go in MSC mode and songs just drag - move on this one. You can also buy albums of mp3s from places like Amazon and eMusic, which is probably the best way to buy digital music because there is no other worries.

But if you want to use one of these online services such as Rhapsody, it gets a bit more complicated, because the companies do not want you music files you can just copy as mp3s. Return to settings/USB mode and go to PSG. This is the mode that allows to send ultra secret information on the sly rights digital encrypted with the Windows Media Player song.  You need Windows Media Player 10 or 11, if your computer is old, you may need to get a newer version of WMP from Microsoft. Check your version of WMP. But if you have 10 or 11, connect the "rocket" and see if the WMP detects. Can send on a song or two and see if they play.

Then Rhapsody. You may need to be an administrator on your computer to install Rhapsody. Try this page at Rhapsody to start. Probably through MTP mode, because it must also undesirable digital-transfer rights.

  • Problem with E250

Hello. The situation is the following: my son introduced a microSD for a mobile phone from motorola in sansa slot. My son told me that the Sansa played well a couple of songs for a while, but suddenly frozen. When he showed me the player, he had only the wheel blu market and nothing has worked. I removed the SD card and waited until tha dry batt and recharge. When I connected to my PC, the player seems to work well, because it is started normally. I thought that all things have been fixed, but when I try to select any option under the MUSIC option on the main menu, the player has re-boots.   When I connect to my windows PC does not recognize the player. Only a message appears asking what program I want to use it to open a "MPC player" (or something like that).  I use a method that I've read here in the forum to force the PC recognizes the player... Well Yes, the pc recognizes a device USB connected... later asked me to insert the Cd to install the updated software/drivers...i cd of sansa, but find nothing, the pc stopped showing me the Oct telling me that an error was encountered on the usb device, etc and the forzed sansa again with wheel truned blue on... What can I do to correct his thing? -Thanks in advance for the help!

It's probably just a coincidence that you started having problems after you put the micro SD card into the slot of the player.  When the player crashes on you, you don't have to wait for the battery to die.  Just hold down the power button for about 15 seconds.  This will force the player to turn it off.  You can then turn it back on and it usually works normally after that.

If you still have problems, the bullet would probably just format the drive.  This will remove all of the music on the drive, so be sure to back up your music, videos, photos and this before proceeding.  If you can get the player to turn on normally, go to the settings menu and look for an option called "format".  Select to format the drive.  If you don't see a format option, then chances are you have a drive model v1, which does not have this menu option.  Don't worry, just go into the settings menu and select the menu usb.  You want to be in MSC, not the MTP mode mode.  Put it in MSC mode, then connect it to the computer.  Check in my computer where you will find the Sansa and the microSD slot ranked 2 separate removable drives.  Right click on the Sansa, who is usually given the lower letter (for example, the Sansa can be assigned to the e drive letter: and the card slot will be assigned the f: drive letter, depending on your particular configuration)-so do a right-click on Sansa drive letter and select the Format from the context menu.  Choose fat (for 2 GB models) or FAT32 (for 4 GB and models) and DON 'T select Quick format.  What formatting done reconfigures the car on board with a clean slate, correcting logic errors and corrupted files that might be about it.

If you still cannot operate after back and let us know.  When you do this, go to settings-Online Info menu and note the version number of the firmware, it gives you.  This will help us to adapt more specific instructions to your particular model.

  • Adobe Flash 8 place

I tried ' Adobe Flash Player 11.1 (1) .apk.  Tried the stock, Dolphin browser... Nothing.

    Vacendak

I worked on it yet...  Back and returns with the support of dolphin and nothing yet.  Someone has just suggested Puffin.  Will try that tonight.  I love this tablet (price and the MicroSD slot are great), but I like to watch movies from Amazon in bed too.  Go back if I can't get Flash to work.  :-(

Adobe killed Flash support for everything above 4.0.x Android. You can try sideloading and forcing them to work, but he never goes to work directly on any device running the latest versions of Android. I have 3 other tablets and 2 phones running Android 4.2 or higher and Flash does not directly work on one of them. Puffin works perfectly as it is running in Flash on an external server instead of your device.

Gen9 models include a MicroSD slot that can be used to install ESXi. Make sure you get one with at least 8 GB (16 GB recommended). There's no other choice available for cards/USB SD "RAID".
