WRT56G Firmware upgrade fails

With losing connectivity problems so decided to update v1.00.7 firmware to the latest version available.

Download the upgrade file and log into the web-based administrator.  Select file, and then click the UPGRADE button.  A few clicks on the timeline, then: UPGRADE FAILED

What is happening with this?

I am a fool! I downloaded the firmware file is for the version of the wrong material.  After you download the right pair (Version 6), the upgrade went like a charm...

Today I tried to upgrade my WRT54G Router v8.2 for the latest Linksys firmware. But the upgrade was repeated each time when the progress bar reaches about 75%. It lasted more than 30 minutes and I had stopped the upgrade. Then the router has stopped working. I have reset and hard reset the router. I also tried the method of tftp to upgrade the firmware again. But the problem is still there. When I ping 192.168.1.1, I always get the message "Destination host unreachable". Could someone help me solve this problem? The power and light of the ethernet port light are always on. Is it possible to solve the problem? Any information is appreciated. Thank you very much.

  • The SPA3102 firmware upgrade error

    Hello

Although I used my SPA3102 for a few years, she has recently become problematic. I sometimes hear audible clicking from the device that is associated with a red light flashes briefly on the power LED. If I'm on the phone at the time, the call is completed.

I hope that a firmware update will address the issue, but I have been unable to upgrade 3.3.6 (GW). If I'm on a Mac, I don't understand the method of upgrading firmware using http or tftp. Fortunately, I ran Windows XP under Parallels Desktop for Mac and have been able to run the upg-spa3102-5-1-10-GW.exe program. However, a message is displayed: error in upgrading the firmware of the SPA > upgrade failed: no response from the SPA.

Reading various forum posts on similar such problems, I was not able to find the solution.

I have disabled the firewall on my Mac, the router (D-Link DSL 504 T) ADSL and Windows XP.

I confirmed that the IP address of the SPA is 10.1.1.3

I made sure that the firmware update is enabled in the Provisioning of the SPA configuration.

I would be very happy to help you please.

    Thank you

  • BEFW11S4 v.4 and Vista - firmware upgrade failure

    Hello

I've had this router for about 5 years, it runs with XP without any problem. Since I got a new laptop with Vista, the wireless connects for an hour or two, and then falls back and I have to unplug the router for five seconds, then reconnect to reconnect (my other laptop with XP has not this problem).

I understand that there is compatibility between the BEFW11S4 v. 4 and Vista problems so I tried to update the firmware of dartybox.com and kept getting a message that failed. I hard rebooted the router but button of restart 30 seconds and the upgrade has always failed. I so re-set to factory settings through the online admin to the router, re-uploaded the implementation level and still got the emssage failed (I am sure that the model number & version is correct and I download the appropriate firmware upgrade).

Is there anything else I can do another one) buy a new router; (b) living with school drop-outs; (c) remove Vista and go back to XP?

    Thank you

    Bigdank

Genius! I have changed the name of code.bin, went to the admin > tab upgrade firmware and the upgrade file. I had a wireless without interruption ever since, even after the awakening of the laptop to sleep.

Just putchased a new BEFSR81 router.  Using the installation CD, I got it Setup and works very well.  Then, I went to the support of Linksys and found page a more recent version of the firmware.  My version is 2.51.4.  I downloaded the 2.51.4.6 version and installed. I made sure to choose the version for my model 3.1. He appeared to install OK, because I got the message that it was for the page in 5 seconds.  Now I can't go to the web-based configuration page.  I can ping 192.168.1.1 and get a normal response, but by entering that address in my browser just times out.  I turned off the router and even held the reset for 30 seconds, but don't can't go in the web-based configuration page.

This router is now watered?  Do I need to send it back?

  • After restart of the firmware upgrade

Hi, I need to update the firmware on my controllers PS6100 EqualLogic.

I found the instructions on how to do it and everything seems straight forward to do so via the GUI.

I noticed there is a necessary restart after the firmware has been applied. Does this mean I have to gracefully shutdown the virtual machines running on my SAN LUNS? My iSCSI connections will be closed/broken during the restart of the post firmware upgrade?

    Thank you, Oliver.

    Hello Oliver,.

In the same area download notes firmware and release is another PDF, entitled ' iSCSI initiator and optimize your SAN environment for high availability operating system considerations ", which includes some key parameters that will allow your computers virtual and servers through the failover time.  It is important that not only the Firmware update, but in the case of an unexpected failure due to a failure of CM.

More if you use VMware ESXi, there is a best practices PDF for that as well.  In addition to better manage the failover, these changes have shown to improve performance as well.

The Tech report TR1091 is available here:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/Extras/m/white_papers/20434601/download

Changes for Windows and the knots of ESXi virtual machines will require a reboot to take effect.

What version of firmware you are at, and what version you are migrating towards?

Other things I always propose updates is to ensure that both controllers are plugged in your switch and in the VLAN correct.  Since assets CM are failed over to the passive, support gets much advertising is unable to access the storage after firmware update.  Or ports of the day before were not in the VLAN correct, or individuals with disabilities, etc...

It is for these reasons that personally I prefer to do the updates via the serial port CLI.   The process is more talkative, and if something should go wrong, you need the serial port of some sort.   Since the installation and tested in advance is a huge time saver.   Here, we use serial mux so that all array controllers are easily accessible.

  • PS4000 firmware update failed

The event ID: 30.4.1 table firmware version V6.0.11 for 7.0.1 update failed. Reason: Another copy of the update is already running. .

I'm moving to 6.0.11 to 7.0.1, so I can add my new ps6100 to the group.  FTP seems to happen when I do the mistletoe group management.  But when it gets to step 2 from upgrade fails before reaching 1%

My other set ps4000 up-to-date without problem.

    Any thoughts?

    Gift of greetings,

This problem has been resolved.   It was a problem with the controller, the controller had been for more than 500 + days.  This support has me initiate a reboot on the controller, once it was full, I ran the upgrade to 7.0.1 of the other controller without problem.  Then I switch to 7.1.5 to match new hardware, I install and when new material is attached to the group I will switch to the current 7.1.X

    Thanks for the help

  • the iDRAC6 firmware update failed during the process

    Hello

One of my colleagues went to a customer who has a few problems with the upgrade of its most recent firmware iDRAC6.
    Case 1
    R710 - with firmware version 1.41-> 1.54 fails to 30%

    Case 2
    With the firmware 1.54-> 1.70 R710 - fails to 30%. Also I tried 1.54-> 1.80 fails also to 30%.

In both cases we found no indicationin error log files. Download was fine, checksum is ok, only FW upgrade failed, but no details.
It's a common mistake? What can we do to work around this error?

    Kind regards

    Stijn

I finally after trying to update iDRAC 6 version 1.0.3.10 to 1.98.8 (last update of this post)

The update (stuck) were held 30%.

Solution is to download "firming.d6" * wait 5 minutes * before clicking on the button update to begin loading the new firmware.

R610 server would not update unless the server has been turned off and then follow instructions above.

If I clicked the button to update firmware soon after downloading the file, it would always fail at 30%.

  • SPA112: impossible to pass to 1.4.1 firmware (update failed)

    Hello

I recently updated the firmware from a dozen of SPA112 to 1.4.1. Everything worked well, except one. Even after a power cycle, always reports "Upgrade failed". It displays the following system information:

    Model: SPA112, 2 FXS
    Hardware Version: 1.0.0
    Boot Version: 1.3.1 (December 11, 2013 - 11:38:47)
    Firmware version: 1.3.5 (004) July 31, 2014
    The Firmware recovery: 1.0.1 (005)
    Serial number: CBT154009VM

I found it's my only camera with the greater than 1.0.x version of start. It upgrades only to the version of the firmware 1.3.5.

Y at - it incompatible with the firmware 1.4.1 and the starting version 1.3.1?

    Thank you for your support.

    Christoph

No such problems known (as I know). Make sure that the upgrade file is complete and intact (older firmware may not detect some types of changes):

If not changed then turn on syslog & debug (highest level) and capture him during the upgrade. It may disclose the real cause of the failure to upgrade.
  • Seagate Firmware update failed

I tried to update the firmware recommended Seagate HDD on my Optiplex 780 (from page to download drivers for my machine).  The update is Seagate ST3320413AS, file name B765JC49.zip, published on 28/06/12).  My current display device manager driver is J47 and to drive HARD Seagate model ST3250312AS.  The machine is Win XP Pro SP3, all the Microsoft updates applied.

During the part of the firmware upgrade process is restarted, here is what I got after following the instructions for "Please wait while files are copied into memory...". DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCEDURE! » :

I hit 'c' to return to Windows and the machine is still very well, but what could have caused this and how important is this update anyway?  I like to keep my machine firmware and drivers up to date, especially since this update is in the category '' recommended '' Dell.  Thanks for any help, Chashood

    Hi Chashood,

Updates firmware, especially for readers, should in general be applied only if there is a specific problem which firmware was released to correct. So I recommend that you leave things as they are.

  • RV220W Firmware update fails (RV220W-Firmware - 1.0.2.4.img)

I have previously updated the firmware on our RV220W of 1.0.0.26 to 1.0.1.0 without any problem, but all attempts to upgrade to the latest version 1.0.2.4 fails with the message following 'upgrade failed due to firmware not valid/damaged. The router then automatically restarts with the current firmware.

We have tried to re - download and apply the update of several different machines with different operating systems and browsers without success. Anyone who manages to implement this version of the firmware successfully? We really need a some VLAN fixes included in this latest version!

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

have you tried to reset the router to the factory settings?

from 1.0.2.6 requires a factory reset once you have upgraded to 1.0.1.0 then maybe this one still has a reset?

  • BDX4350KB Wifi adapter and firmware upgrade doesn't work do not

It is a sequel to my earlier question about if the WLM-20U2 Wifi adapter will work in my blu - ray player.

After buying the adapter I plugged it and a message 'not supported', if I tried to connect wireless it says there was no an adapter connected.

So I assumed that this necessary upgrade, so I formatted a 1 Gb USB drive with the FAT file system, downloaded the file level (version 39 http://www.dl.toshiba.com/player/NA/GB/EN/BDX4350KB.html) and copied the file .bin on the USB.

When I plugged into the player and said to check the disk for a file to update it tells me that "frontend file is not found"... There was only one file to download, and it wasn't in a folder so I guess I'm supposed to just copy that file on the USB drive.

I checked the USB port with a memory stick with photos on and it works fine.

How to get the upgrade to work in the hope that it will enable the wifi adapter to work?

    Thank you

Have you checked the guide in PDF firmware update?

  • Satellite M300 - Sound driver for Vista 64 says upgrade failed

I just reinstall my M300 with Vista 64 and I have the problem with the audio driver (I have download this Toshiba site).

It says upgrade failed or something.

    > I have sounds coming out of the speaker, but the quality is very low
This means that the audio driver has been installed correctly!
To increase the volume, you must go to control panel-> sound and need to check if the volume control is defined at the top level.

By the way; This laptop seems to belong to Toshiba US series.
Therefore, you should check the Toshiba USA for drivers and BIOS update:

  • 200 d IOmega IX4 Firmware upgrade failure

    Hello

I have an IX4 - 200 d which I inherited. Initially, it wouldn't boot and display only the symbols of USB stick/network after about 60 seconds.

With some searching on Google, I created a boot disk USB with the firmware updated on this issue. All goes well until the Firmware upgrade begins. I go to the step of (what I assume is) the upgrade of the firmware and it gets 75%, hold for 5 seconds and then the machine stops.

I tried to repeat the update of the firmware with all the drives present, with every other drive in the first slot and with all the disconnected drives. But it seems to behave in the same way.

Is this a known issue? Or could it be a hardware failure?

I'm pretty eager to find a solution - it takes a long time for me to accept defeat.

The only other suggestion that suggested Dr. Google is to start linux and reformat the hard drive?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Pete

    Hi André,.

    This case can be closed.

After the above mentioned procedure eventually work, I didn't know that - ALL readers should be present and formatted during an attempt of USB firmware update / install.

The link again on the forum - http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4401

This seems to be the only solution.

    Kind regards
