• Port Gbit ethernet ThinkPad X 201 problem

  I have just upgraded to windows 10. Problem that I face is that gbit ethernet port does not start. Appears in Device Manager, but won't start do not. Tried looking for drivers but no luck.

  Problem solved, right clicked on the card in the Device Manager > uninstalled and select Remove the software for this device. Restarted and all work very well.

• How to get the 1 Gbit Ethernet card to work on Tecra A6

  I think that the Tecra A6 supports GigE. However, the material appears on plug-and-play as an Intel PRO/100.

  I downloaded the Intel Pro/1000 driver on the Toshiba site but cannot make it work.

  Is it possible to tell the system that the material is an Intel Pro/1000, so it will properly load and activate the GigE driver?

  The Tecra A6 was fitted with 10/100 Mbit Lan card.
  It s Lan card not a 1Gbit and so you will not be able to use or to allow 1Gbit!

• HP Envy 15 TS (C8P47AV): can't get Realtek GBE onboard Ethernet RTL8168 go above 100 Mbps

  I've only used my HP Envy TS 15 (C8P47AV) wireless and recently got a wired connection using CAT7 at my desk on the 2nd floor. I can't exceed 100 Mbps and it is extremely frustrating! I've read tons of things on the web and can not find something that helps! My WiFi gets a faster than the Ethernet cable speedtest. I see this change once! That's when I changed the cable that I have my router on and noticed he went to 300mbps and things flying. However him unplugging and plugging it into which he disappeared port. It's almost like the old bargaining hung. In any case change this to force it to work? I tried gigabit forced, you name it, any setting changes you fixed!   I have an Equium A200-1VO. It is equipped with a fast Marvell Yukon Ethernet controller.

  When I plug the cable to connect to the internet, nothing happens. It says network cable is unplugged and no light no flash where the cable plugs. It is configured to automatically detect the internet settings (Vista) and the pilot is the last and the work. I also uninstalled the driver and rebooted to reinstall.
  Any ideas what could be wrong... is the broken card? If so where can I get a new one (uk).

  Are you sure network adapter is not disabled it?

  Do you need to check the actual flow, or you just need to check that it has negotiated a 100mbit link? If the latter, and if the UUT is connected directly to a port ethernet to your PC (without routers/switches/etc. in the middle), there are ways to do this easily by querying the operating system on the network link. There are probably also a way to get this information through properties .NET.

  WiFi is much more limited than Ethernet speed, so it depends on how quickly your driving speed
  is and what type of WiFi is used. If the driving speed exceeds the speed of the WiFi so the
  Ethernet connection is faster. If the driving speed is slower than WiFi speed then
  the WiFI and Ethernet would be essentially the same.

  So, if you had a 1.5 MB pipe and use G or WiFi N, then they would be as fast as the
  Ethernet (there may be a reduction in head too small for WiFi).

  If you had a 3.4 + MB or more fast pipe then using Wifi G wouldn't catch an Ethernet
  connection.

• InDesign error code: 5 - on Windows Server or Qnap

  We continue to receive mean error code: 5 problems of corruption with our CC InDesign files on our corporate network. It doesn't seem like there is a work beyond obvious autour back manually before opening a file.

  The behavioiur arrives on a variety of machines, always when you save the file (although corruption is not apparent, until you try to open the file again with the same or another machine).

  Longer with the OS X Mavericks machines on Windows file sharing, but also arises on the rapid sharing of Qnap, (SSD and a dual Gbit ethernet, versus 7200 RPM drives and a single Gbit ethernet link).

  All Gbit links with CAT6 network cabling. It's an Active Directory environment.

  At this point, it is either Active Directory that throws the questions or it is from InDesign. Any other type of file were corrupted never well!

  Don't think it's OS X - although I have observed only corruption happening once (and I'm not 100% sure of the observation) with one of our machines Windows 8.

  I was wondering if anyone had here a few thoughts about the use of iSCSI as shared media storage.

  I would use it via ethernet to my ready nas pro with two Gbit connections is associated with a single IP address.

  I know the obvious limitations in bandwidth by ethernet and the risk of data corruption when sharing, but I only use the same media on one PC at a time, so I guess that's not much more of a problem.

  Further recommendations on the idea of shared storage would be muc appreciated also.

  iSCSI is ideal for this workflow. There are faster options now that are affordable compared to the Gbit and iSCSI units which have expansion slots supporting 10 Gbit Ethernet. Cards Intel 10 Gbps Ethernet are $380 for a single port cards and the Thecus 8 and the 16bay units take over some of the Intel 10 GB cards. NETGEAR has 10 Gbit Ethernet switches for $900. If this isn't an option now then 2port NAS/SAN unit will be fine. Don't expect much more then 75 to 100 Mbps even with load balancing. 10 Gbps also reduce access latency. Gbit will be a delay if try to change directly from shared storage.

  I have a laptop of 1400-103. I read a previous post about this and I'm having the same problem. I can't find the LAN drivers, on the post I found, someone referred to in http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp so I went on this site.

  IM blind or they do not have the drivers on there: P so if someone could help I would be very gratefull.

• Get the network on Lenovo x 240 M5 node link in a chassis with 2 EN4093R IOM 8721HC1 IBM

  So I put to update the BMC firmware to support the M5s. The IMM all works very well. I have an CN4054S adapter that I have disabled the multi-channel mode and all ports except port 0 in the IMM node. 1 IOM works for other nodes of era of M4 in the chassis with 2 port emulex adapters. I want to only 10 Gbit ethernet - there is no network convergence going on. I'm not really sure how to determine which port should be on the IOM, but all the ports are enabled. We try to use VLAN1. The NETWORK card has no configuration of VLAN. The IMM shows the physical port out of service. Any ideas that I do get the coming port?

  I connect to a Linksys WRT610N Ver 2. My Droid X 2 connects as g instead of n. It does not even show the SSID of 5 GHz. It shows the connection speed is 54 Mbps and shows it as connected as Wireless-G router. Is there something I need to do to activate Wireless N? My Droid X 2 is defective?

  I doubt that your X 2 is defective. It seems that people have had similar problems in the community of the Xoom.

  I borrowed the money a Xoom boards very similar thread (), but they still apply:

  -In the advanced wireless settings, frequency band parameter must be 'Auto' or '5 GHz only.
  -Your router should broadcast its SSID. (If another device that was never connected to your router can be seen, that means it's ok)
  -Xoom supports only the main channels in the 5 GHz band: channels are 36 40 44 48 149 153 157 161. Can you try to configure your router to one of these channels?
  -There's been new WiFi Alliance requirements: we cannot support WEP and WPA - PSK mode N.
  This means that if your router is set to N mode only (does not support a mode), you must set the security to open or WPA2-PSK. If your router is set to joint A & N and WEP or WPA - PSK mode, Xoom will not use rates of N and the maximum rate is 54 Mbps.
