  I changed the format JPEG decode VI by changing the plans of red and blue color. I don't know if this caused the problem though.

• problem string buffer too small

  I have a question may be stupid, I received the error "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character string buffer too small" when I run a query. If I Uncomment ' and rox.status ='Active "" ' State, I do not have the error. I guess it's related to specific lines. I checked online, it looks like the length of a certain variable varchar2 is not enough, but I can't find cause. I also note that there could be an error on v_level in the function, I use number instead of type varchar2. but after I changed the type of v_level, the error is still there. I would be cautious, because this is a legacy system. Could someone help me on this problem?

  In this way, you know that your variable is declared with a good length, if the length of the column never changes, your code won't kaboom.

  I have a small problem here. I'm trying to deal with the chains, but there are a few inconsistencies with the string format. The channels to follow this format:

  In most of the six steps for each product: a-FIRST, SECOND B, C-THIRD,..., F-SIXTH. Some products may have less than 6 steps like:

  PHP returns two values that are perceived by the flash in InVal and InTxt variables. The collected values are correct and are thus displayed in boxes of 2 outputs. If the value in the input box is 5 or less, the outbox1.text shows "lo" and if the entrance area is greater than 5 the output1.text shows 'hi. '

  Earlier I was using numbers and faulty when I tried to use strings because I thought that for some reason any PHP returns everything as strings. But as can be seen, even the string comparison fails.

  Can someone please comment on this problem and suggest a solution.

  to confirm that it is the white space, check the length of returned variables to see if they are more than 2.

• Cannot change tab of webhelp

  Since my company is changing some of its product names, I need to change my webhelp accordingly. I changed the name of the project for one of these aid projects, but the label of webhelp tab in help online remains the same.
  
  I used the search function in the Windows Exlorer to find the location of the problem string. I found this in a half dozen generated files in the. SSL! \WebHelp\ folder but not in the source files.

  (1) FOR loops are your friend here.  You can make a slight restructuring using loops, and then you will have less mess to deal with, the inner loop through tunnels of autoindexing to make it even simpler.

  (2) I would only treat the numeric values of the characters.  So go terminal of control of the chain, the capital letters and byte array to before the outer loop.  You can use a size of Board over there to tell how many times the outer loop to iterate.

  (3) the Index table is extensible.  So you only need over the index of the first, and it will increment itself, as it develops.

  (4) you need to finish the lookup table (table 3D)

• LabVIEW 8.5 problems using strings with MATLAB Script node

  I am having some problems that seem to be a bug that I can not understand how to solve using strings in the MATLAB script node.

  I have two subVIs that make some calculations and both include a variable called "errortext" is a string. The two subVIs do their calculations using the MATLAB script node, so all the outputs are defined in the script node.

  The first sub - VI outputs that string and a number. The string is sent to an indicator on the front panel. The number is sent to the second Subvi which performs some calculations more and then returns another string of the same name to an indicator on the front panel. This second string is different from the first (error different two messages should appear).

  I did have problems with this in the past until this morning. This morning, it seems that two of these channels are now somehow mystically connected to each other. The second string repeat that what the first channel said despite the fact that the first string is not be linked to the Subvi where lives the second string. The only link between the two is a calculated value of double which went from #1 to the Subvi #2 Subvi.

  I tried many things: I tried to rename the strings so that they do not have the same name. Initially, he would not let me and gave me an error saying that the renowned string was a undefined variable (which is ridiculous). After removing and replacing things, I finally managed to do so I would change the name, but now it displays nothing at all and even more I think it might still display a completely different another string in my code!

  I also tried to remove the channel indicator and replace it. Yet once, it wouldn't let me initially. I would like to highlight, press DELETE and nothing. Finally after replacing all the subVIs with them, I was able to remove the flags, but this did not help the problem.

  Any idea for these problems pecular is greatly appreciated!

  I totally understand what you did, you were talking about variables in your fist post, and it was not clear if you were referring to a variable you have defined in the Matlab code, or you try to call a variable indicator/control, where is often seen on this forum (and who isn't). That said, the crux of The Matlab Script communicates with Matlab via ActiveX, and when you use a command window opens small. This is the workspace of Matlab environment. A variable that you define in a Matlab Script node will be visible in the other, even if it's in another VI (see attached for an example, figure). This is because the script nodes are running in the same environment space. It seems to me that if this is what is happening.

  In the image below, I did 24 times this conversation to show, the result for each hour of the day.

  Looks like labview have some problems with times of conversation in format 2:XX: XX (I mean, when the number 2 is the first).

  Someone has an idea how to fix this bug?

  1 convert the variant to a string

  2 channel converted variant with format string %^<%d.%m.%Y % H: % m: %s > T, where ^ is important

• LV 2012 Flatten To String / string problems Unflatten

  I use a simple flatten to a string in order to save a setup of controls, then a unflatten string read saved orders.  The problem is when I try to read the file, it returns an error message:

  122 error to Unflatten string in front Panel.vi Installer

  Possible reasons:

  LabVIEW: The resource you are trying to open was created in a newer version of LabVIEW and is not compatible with this version.

  Which is wrong, because it was created in the same VI about 8 seconds earlier.  Are there known issues with this, or any places that I might want to watch?

  Edit: This code correct, unchanged compared to now was working last night without problem.  In fact, the saved files, I have tested with last night are still working fine, but do not load recently saved files.

  
  

• String to number conversion problem

  I have a VI that pulls in data from a device using VISA, and I got it on another computer to work a few weeks back. I had to transfer the VI to a laptop computer to run a few tests, and now I can't make it work. I am unable to put my VI because the laptop on it's is unable to access the network companies, I will do my best to explain it all, I apologize for the inconvenience! My problem is not however with VISA, it's with an exit VISA number conversion chain.

  I have attached a painting drawing of VI to better explain it.

  I use the block series Visa football match in baud rate and all that many good things to the unit and port settings set of device management. Then, a while loop is entered. The loop will run until you press the stop"" button. The next block of visa is the writing block, he asks for a reading of the device. The next block of visa is the first block of reading, he returns playback in the form of "NA-XXX. X' where x are numbers. The next block of visa is the second reading block, this block just echoes back the command sent to the device. Playback of the first visa read block, "NA-XXX.   I'm using Labview 10 on the laptop, the old computer was labview 7. I'm guessing that this is perhaps the rub... I Redid the VI from scratch, although I have not opened the old VI in labview 10.

  Would it not have been easier to just post a screenshot? You might also have used the Tool of Capture of Code. (Which reminds me that I need to install it to my previous versions of LabVIEW, as evidenced by the screenshot I took. )

  As to the question: you probably either:

  • employee analysis of chain initially and when you rewrote the VI you used the regular string conversion functions.
  • Wired an offset value in the string to the number function.

  

• While the loop and the passage of a string to a Subvi problem

  My problem is this: I have a MainVI and a Subvi, the MainVI is running a while loop in which the Subvi is called and goes to 2 parameters, 1 bool and 1 chain. the problem is, inside the Subvi the chain should be placed in a text box so that the user can see before pressing ok.

  Background of the present: normally "Get_DMC.vi" opens with just the text box and a button cancel, means to scan 10 characters of big entry. It still works fine. If the user selects the DMC model in the MainVI, it should only copy the dummy DMC of the MainVI (the above string) to the show, and Subvi in the text box as well as allow another button 'OK' for the opportunity to control themselves (Advanced) users.

  The Subvi is reloaded on every call because he'd be stuck in the while loop, I had not done that. Not quite sure why, if someone has an answer to that aswell please tell me.

  It might be that the writing of the DMC to "Value DMC" model that happens before the "reset DMC by default".  Try the error off DMC Reint default wiring to the value DMC error to force the order of execution

• Problem with string writing series

  I'm using labview to send commands to a device using the serial port com1.  Using the example VI "Base series in reading and writing", I can communicate with my hardware very well, can write and can read.   the problem comes when I want to edit the VI by using my own string instead of the string provided in the example.  When I create a string constant with the exact text that was in the example string box, I can not write my material.

  I don't understand why this wont work.  Is there something special about the example of the VI text 'string to write' box that I don't know?

  I know what you mean and it does not work like that.  For some reason if I use a string with \r\n constant it still does not work.

  Anyway, I solved the problem in a roundabout way.  The command I sent you is a word but both parties; first part, second part number.  I want to create a loop when the number changes.  I was able to do this by combining three channels, the first is a copy of the example string, the middle is my number converted to string, the third is a different copy of the string of examples.  Now it works and I can with my life
