WSB600N problems (string disconects)

Hello

After becoming irritated beyond comprehension, I hope someone here can help me lol.

After installing the drivers for this device on WinVista64 little from the CD, it connects to my older D-link Wireless Rangebooster G network but continualy disconects then reconects, disconects then reconects etc. A wired connection works, but as I want to move this computer more far the router a wired connection is not feasible.  I installed this device on 2 different offices a WinVista64 and the other WinXP32, but face the same problems. Both computers were about 3pi away from the router and had the complete wireless signal strength. My local computer store told me that the Linksys should have no problem connecting to my older network because it is backward compatible a lot like laptops in our House, but was bad?

I thought that I could just have a defective unit so I went back 1 that I bought for a second, but am experincing the same problem. Any help you can provide will be greatly appretiated.

If you have the same problem with the second wireless adapter, then I would say that this is not a problem with your wireless adapter...

There are many causes of bad connections wireless and many solutions:

First of all, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you use "linksys", you can try to connect the router to your neighbor. Also set 'SSID Broadcast' to 'active '. This will help your computer to find and lock on the signal from your router.

Bad wireless connections are often caused by interference from other 2.4 GHz devices. This includes cordless phones, baby monitor wireless, microwave ovens, wireless mice and keyboards, wireless speakers and wireless network from your neighbor. In rare cases, Bluetooth devices can interfere. Even some 5 + GHz phones also use the 2.4 Ghz band. disconnect these devices and see if that solves your problem.

In your router, try another channel. There are 11 channels in the band of 2.4 GHz channel 1, 6 or 11 generally works better. Discover your neighbors and see what channel they use. Because the channels overlap, try to stay at least + 5 or - 5 channels of your more powerful neighbors. For example, if you have a powerful neighbour on channel 9, try any channel 1 to 4.

Also, try putting the router about 4 to 6 feet above the ground in an open area. Do not place behind your screen or other computer equipment or speakers. The antenna (if external) must be vertical.

In addition, in the computer, go to your wireless software and go to 'Favorite networks' (sometimes called 'Profiles'). There are probably a few listed networks. Remove any network called "linksys". Also remove any network that you don't recognize or that you no longer use. If your current network is not listed, enter its information (SSID, encryption (if any) and key (if any)). Select your current network and make your network by default, then set it to auto login. You may need to go to 'settings' to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select 'Properties' or 'settings '.

If the above does not solve your problem, download and install the latest driver for your wireless card.

Wireless performance can be improved by opting for WPA encryption.

If you continue to have problems, follow these steps: for wireless g routers, try setting the "baud rate" at 54 Mbps.

If you still have problems, download and install the latest firmware for your router. After an update of the firmware, you must reset the default router, and then configure the router again from scratch. If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

  • IMAQ JPEG image conversion problem string

    Hi, I'm using the format JPEG decode VI to decode an image string I get a camera at Black fins. It works fine when I run VI himself, but when I use it as a subvi the program crashes. Anyone have advice?

    This is a picture of my program

    It's the way the file is returned to the camera

    'I '. «#IMJxs0s1s2s3...» » Enter the JPEG compressed video image

    x = size of the frame in pixels:
    1 = 80 x 64, 3 = 160 x 120, 5 = 320 x 240, 7 = 640 x 480, 9 = 1280 x 1024

    s0s1s2s3 = size of the image in bytes (s0 * 256 ^ 0 + s1 * 256 ^ 1 + s2 * 256 ^ 2 + s3 * 256 ^ 3).
    ... = full frame JPEG

    Note that sometimes the 'I' command returns nothing if the robot camera is busy, then the 'I' command should be called as many times as necessary until a framework is returned

    I changed the format JPEG decode VI by changing the plans of red and blue color. I don't know if this caused the problem though.

  • problem string buffer too small

    Hey, guys:

    I have a question may be stupid, I received the error "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character string buffer too small" when I run a query. If I Uncomment ' and rox.status ='Active "" ' State, I do not have the error. I guess it's related to specific lines. I checked online, it looks like the length of a certain variable varchar2 is not enough, but I can't find cause. I also note that there could be an error on v_level in the function, I use number instead of type varchar2. but after I changed the type of v_level, the error is still there. I would be cautious, because this is a legacy system. Could someone help me on this problem?

    I have a query like this:

    I do not pretend that it is your problem, but

    select status
    into v_status,
    from registration_offender_xref

    But you said

          v_status  varchar2(10);

    Much better to say things like that

          v_status  registration_offender_xref.status%type;

    In this way, you know that your variable is declared with a good length, if the length of the column never changes, your code won't kaboom.

  • Pattern recognition problem string

    I have a small problem here. I'm trying to deal with the chains, but there are a few inconsistencies with the string format. The channels to follow this format:
    A PRODUCT1-FIRST XXXXXX
    B-SECOND PRODUCT1 XXXXXXXXXX
    PRODUCT1-C-THIRD XXXXXXXXXX
    XXXXXXXXXX PRODUCT1-D-FOURTH
    PRODUCT1-E-FIFTH XXXXXXXXXX
    PRODUCT1-F-SIXTH XXXXXXXXXX

    In most of the six steps for each product: a-FIRST, SECOND B, C-THIRD,..., F-SIXTH. Some products may have less than 6 steps like:
    PRODUCT2-A-FIRST
    LEADER2-D-FOURTH
    LEADER2-F-SIXTH

    I want to sort the channels based on PRODUCT. Please note that the word "Product1" is not written as "Product1" result Most of them using the product code as if the PRODUCT1 code number is XX-T-00125 then the first stage of this product is written XX-T-00125-one-FIRST XXXX where XXXX is an extra for descriptive purposes chain (XXXX have no specific rules). But there are a few cases of human error during entry. XX-T-00125-a-FIRST-> extra white space between A - and FIRST or the case where A is not written as a FIRST but has - SECOND. So here's what I have in mind: I want to determine the STAGE (A, B, C). Then, I will assume all of the characters before the A, B, C,... as the product code. What I want is to choose separate (product code). How do I get there? Thank you

    Hello

    Use regular expressions.

    What version of Oracle are you using?
    The following works in Oracle 10.1 (and), but from 11 REGEXP_SUBSTR might be better for you.

    sELECT     REGEXP_REPLACE ( string
                     , '-\s*[A-F]\s*-.+$'
                     )     AS product
    FROM     table_x
    ;

    I hope that answers your question.
    If not, post a small example data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements), and the results you want from this data.
    Examples of special cases, you may need to manage (as one free space, other delimiters as '-', simple letters A - F appearing several times,...)

  • Time to Conversion Timestamp problem string

    Hello

    I tried to convert the time string timestamp, but I failed. What is wrong with it? I need a timestamp to create waveforms.

    Hi beginner,

    use ScanFromString:

         /*

        output1.text = "No Value";

         if(InTxt == 'lo' ) { output1.text = "Low Value"; }

         if(InTxt == 'hi') { output1.text = "High Value"; }

          */

    } else { //...or notify of failure output.text = "fail"; }

    myBtn.onRelease = function()

      {

          //assign user-input value to lv property called years

         lvOut.years = years.text; //send to a blank window //

         lvOut.send(path + "dogyears_new1.php",lvIn,"GET");

         lvOut.sendAndLoad(path + "dogyears_new1.php",lvIn,"GET");

    };

    And simple PHP code

    PHP code:

    <?php$calculation = $_GET["years"]*2;
    if(
    $calculation <=10 ) $retVal="lo";
    if(
    $calculation > 10$retVal="hi";
    echo
    "&returnVal=$calculation &retVal=$retVal" ;?>

    PHP returns two values that are perceived by the flash in InVal and InTxt variables. The collected values are correct and are thus displayed in boxes of 2 outputs. If the value in the input box is 5 or less, the outbox1.text shows "lo" and if the entrance area is greater than 5 the output1.text shows 'hi. '

    Now, if yew commented then block in the code is activated by removing the / * / of all about him and the program is run, the If Then block fails because the comparison of the InTxt fails.  SO even if the value of InTxt is "hi" or "lo" as seen on the 1st round, but the value does not change to the 'Value' but high 'low value' according to the value of InTxt in the If Then comparison bloac.

    It has completely failed me why this is happening. While I can see the values correctly, I can't use it in conditional loops. I even tried the instructions box switch with the same frustrating result. (The output1.text is equal to 'No value' when it should change to 'High value' or 'Low value')

    Earlier I was using numbers and faulty when I tried to use strings because I thought that for some reason any PHP returns everything as strings. But as can be seen, even the string comparison fails.

    Can someone please comment on this problem and suggest a solution.

    All thanks loads!

    PS. I wanted to download the small fla for this but I could not find a way to add a file here. Please suggest if I can do and how and I'll upload my fla for this code. Thank you.

    which is caused by some problems/string number (not in your case), or a white space (probably your situation).

    to confirm that it is the white space, check the length of returned variables to see if they are more than 2.

  • Cannot change tab of webhelp

    Since my company is changing some of its product names, I need to change my webhelp accordingly. I changed the name of the project for one of these aid projects, but the label of webhelp tab in help online remains the same.

    I used the search function in the Windows Exlorer to find the location of the problem string. I found this in a half dozen generated files in the. SSL! \WebHelp\ folder but not in the source files.

    I managed to change the label of the tab by replacing the string in all the files above with FAR. What is the normal way to change the label of the tab?

    Hello

    By "The tab label" do you mean a tab in IE or FireFox?

    If so, try to click file > project settings and editing the field called "name of the project. Then re - generate and test.

  • Pass complex Types with chains to stored procedures: become null

    Hello

    I would like to pass an array of strings or a type of custom to a PL/SQL stored procedure object, you use the JDBC thin driver. It is possible if the tables or object types contain integers. With strings (resp. varchar2) However, I encountered a repetitive problem, no matter what I tried: the varchar2 field seems to be null in the stored procedure.

    There is something special with the passage of short strings?

    I tested with Oracle version server 10.2.0.3, 10.2.0.4 and 11.1.0.7.0.
    JDBC Thin drivers used are ojdbc14.jar is of 10.2.0.4 and ojdbc5.jar 11.1.0.7.0.
    I use Java 5.

    Tested approaches include:
    -oracle.sql.StructDescriptor, preparedStatement.setSTRUCT, or setStruct
    -Pass a Java type that implements the SQLData with preparedStatement.setObject
    -Pass a Java type that implements ORAData and ORADataFactory

    I tested it with an example of metalink (Doc ID 458572.1), and as I said, this example shows the same problem: strings passed appear as null - in three versions of Oracle that I tested. The example has been changed only with respect to the scheme name.
    ()Doc ID 458572.1 refers to a bug that shows the behavior I describe here, but this bug should be fixed in 10.2.0.4 and 11).

    I can paste some of my source code, but I feel that the solution could be found elsewhere, such as problems, version mismatch, the character set...

    Any ideas on the specialties with passage of strings in types of objects or paintings? My strings are null. (For tables, I get the right amount of NULL values).
    I even checked that I can pass a string argument simple to a procedure that worked indeed.

    Kind regards
    Carsten

    There is something special with the passage of short strings?

    Yes, this is a common problem. You must include orai18n.jar classpath. BTW it is documented here and here.

    Hi all

    I have attached my program with this message.

    (1) FOR loops are your friend here.  You can make a slight restructuring using loops, and then you will have less mess to deal with, the inner loop through tunnels of autoindexing to make it even simpler.

    (2) I would only treat the numeric values of the characters.  So go terminal of control of the chain, the capital letters and byte array to before the outer loop.  You can use a size of Board over there to tell how many times the outer loop to iterate.

    (3) the Index table is extensible.  So you only need over the index of the first, and it will increment itself, as it develops.

    (4) you need to finish the lookup table (table 3D)

  • LabVIEW 8.5 problems using strings with MATLAB Script node

    I am having some problems that seem to be a bug that I can not understand how to solve using strings in the MATLAB script node.

    I have two subVIs that make some calculations and both include a variable called "errortext" is a string. The two subVIs do their calculations using the MATLAB script node, so all the outputs are defined in the script node.

    The first sub - VI outputs that string and a number. The string is sent to an indicator on the front panel. The number is sent to the second Subvi which performs some calculations more and then returns another string of the same name to an indicator on the front panel. This second string is different from the first (error different two messages should appear).

    I did have problems with this in the past until this morning. This morning, it seems that two of these channels are now somehow mystically connected to each other. The second string repeat that what the first channel said despite the fact that the first string is not be linked to the Subvi where lives the second string. The only link between the two is a calculated value of double which went from #1 to the Subvi #2 Subvi.

    I tried many things: I tried to rename the strings so that they do not have the same name. Initially, he would not let me and gave me an error saying that the renowned string was a undefined variable (which is ridiculous). After removing and replacing things, I finally managed to do so I would change the name, but now it displays nothing at all and even more I think it might still display a completely different another string in my code!

    I also tried to remove the channel indicator and replace it. Yet once, it wouldn't let me initially. I would like to highlight, press DELETE and nothing. Finally after replacing all the subVIs with them, I was able to remove the flags, but this did not help the problem.

    Any idea for these problems pecular is greatly appreciated!

    I totally understand what you did, you were talking about variables in your fist post, and it was not clear if you were referring to a variable you have defined in the Matlab code, or you try to call a variable indicator/control, where is often seen on this forum (and who isn't). That said, the crux of The Matlab Script communicates with Matlab via ActiveX, and when you use a command window opens small. This is the workspace of Matlab environment. A variable that you define in a Matlab Script node will be visible in the other, even if it's in another VI (see attached for an example, figure). This is because the script nodes are running in the same environment space. It seems to me that if this is what is happening.

  • string to datetime interesting problem

    Hello

    I am solve some problem with Labview and I find very interesting bug.

    It's just time conversation of string to the datetime format.

    In the image below, I did 24 times this conversation to show, the result for each hour of the day.

    Looks like labview have some problems with times of conversation in format 2:XX: XX (I mean, when the number 2 is the first).

    Someone has an idea how to fix this bug?

    The solution is:

    1 convert the variant to a string

    2 channel converted variant with format string %^<%d.%m.%Y % H: % m: %s > T, where ^ is important

    3. Use the Format Date/time String.vi with set to True UTC

    Possible reasons:

    LabVIEW: The resource you are trying to open was created in a newer version of LabVIEW and is not compatible with this version.

    Which is wrong, because it was created in the same VI about 8 seconds earlier.  Are there known issues with this, or any places that I might want to watch?

    Edit: This code correct, unchanged compared to now was working last night without problem.  In fact, the saved files, I have tested with last night are still working fine, but do not load recently saved files.

  • String to number conversion problem

    I have a VI that pulls in data from a device using VISA, and I got it on another computer to work a few weeks back. I had to transfer the VI to a laptop computer to run a few tests, and now I can't make it work. I am unable to put my VI because the laptop on it's is unable to access the network companies, I will do my best to explain it all, I apologize for the inconvenience! My problem is not however with VISA, it's with an exit VISA number conversion chain.

    I have attached a painting drawing of VI to better explain it.

    I use the block series Visa football match in baud rate and all that many good things to the unit and port settings set of device management. Then, a while loop is entered. The loop will run until you press the stop"" button. The next block of visa is the writing block, he asks for a reading of the device. The next block of visa is the first block of reading, he returns playback in the form of "NA-XXX. X' where x are numbers. The next block of visa is the second reading block, this block just echoes back the command sent to the device. Playback of the first visa read block, "NA-XXX. X' is going exponential/fractional chain to digital converter.

    When you perform a run/debug to highlight run, the release of visa reports the correct value, is the value of the device reading - however the string to number converter generates a 0,000, no matter what channel number is. I am at a loss as to what may be wrong because it's the EXACT set up I had to work very well a few weeks ago!

    I'm using Labview 10 on the laptop, the old computer was labview 7. I'm guessing that this is perhaps the rub... I Redid the VI from scratch, although I have not opened the old VI in labview 10.

    Any help would be appreciated. Again, sorry I am unable to attach the VI.

    DARB wrote:

    Would it not have been easier to just post a screenshot? You might also have used the Tool of Capture of Code. (Which reminds me that I need to install it to my previous versions of LabVIEW, as evidenced by the screenshot I took. )

    As to the question: you probably either:

    • employee analysis of chain initially and when you rewrote the VI you used the regular string conversion functions.
    • Wired an offset value in the string to the number function.

  • While the loop and the passage of a string to a Subvi problem

    Hello world

    My problem is this: I have a MainVI and a Subvi, the MainVI is running a while loop in which the Subvi is called and goes to 2 parameters, 1 bool and 1 chain. the problem is, inside the Subvi the chain should be placed in a text box so that the user can see before pressing ok.

    Background of the present: normally "Get_DMC.vi" opens with just the text box and a button cancel, means to scan 10 characters of big entry. It still works fine. If the user selects the DMC model in the MainVI, it should only copy the dummy DMC of the MainVI (the above string) to the show, and Subvi in the text box as well as allow another button 'OK' for the opportunity to control themselves (Advanced) users.

    The Subvi is reloaded on every call because he'd be stuck in the while loop, I had not done that. Not quite sure why, if someone has an answer to that aswell please tell me.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    It might be that the writing of the DMC to "Value DMC" model that happens before the "reset DMC by default".  Try the error off DMC Reint default wiring to the value DMC error to force the order of execution

  • Problem with string writing series

    I'm using labview to send commands to a device using the serial port com1.  Using the example VI "Base series in reading and writing", I can communicate with my hardware very well, can write and can read.   the problem comes when I want to edit the VI by using my own string instead of the string provided in the example.  When I create a string constant with the exact text that was in the example string box, I can not write my material.

    I don't understand why this wont work.  Is there something special about the example of the VI text 'string to write' box that I don't know?

    Help, please

    Thank you

    I know what you mean and it does not work like that.  For some reason if I use a string with \r\n constant it still does not work.

    Anyway, I solved the problem in a roundabout way.  The command I sent you is a word but both parties; first part, second part number.  I want to create a loop when the number changes.  I was able to do this by combining three channels, the first is a copy of the example string, the middle is my number converted to string, the third is a different copy of the string of examples.  Now it works and I can with my life
