Xperia vs provider voice mail answering machine

Hi all

I understand that no signal the auto responder Xperia will not work, but is it possible that when you don't have your email automatically provider signal will take over?

Also, how people found the xperia answering machine, preferable to the voicemail provider?

Thanks for all the answers.

Hi Jack,

I assumed you're impatient for the voicemail provider take care if the phone does not have signal to accept incoming calls, and that's why you need the supplier to get the job done for the record. (Hope I've understood)

If this is the case the answering machine should always be active or subscribe to voice mail from the provider. While it will alarm if your phone is out of coverage or signal.

If you don't want the call to voicemail while hone is on the cover or within the range of the signal so that he could go on your answering machine on the phone, I think you could tweek simply time to how dry or rings for this trigger for recording?

For the preferences of answering machine and voicemail. I think that this may differ or vary by country. Some charged extra service provider be activate this service and some countries is as a monthly fabric which will include them on your monthly bill.

Ofcause, if the service is free, so why not? I would like that they on anytime if I can, so that I would not have missed something important to all calls. Hope this will help a little.

    Hi jana99,

If you need to record a voicemail visual voicemail, you can do this by using the share option. Just type and then choose where to send it. You can save it in VoiceMemo, Notes, mail, Messages or a supported 3rd party app. Take a look at the article below for more details.

We have the following MFP: HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw

Our office has a phone line to be shared between the phone and FAX (M276nw). The phone is a phone single line of integrated with a digital answering machine Panasonic KX-TG7531 model. I can't seem to find the right combination of settings for ringtone for the phone and the FAX that allows callers to leave a voicemail without the FAX modem tones interfere when the caller leaves a voice message. It's as if the fax does not recognize that the answering machine picked up and he continues to make sounds of modem. The tones are saved as well as the message of the caller's voice, which makes the message difficult to understand. In most cases, the caller simply hangs up without leaving a message (we've heard talk about this later).

Please tell us how to implement. Thank you!

Furthermore, the HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw replaced a MFP from brother, but the Brother FAX has worked with the same phone from Panasonic.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: Receive faxes with a HP officejet pro 6830 w / answering machine

I had an OLD officejet model that could receive faxes even if the answering machine was not connected directly to the fax machine the 6830 manual says that it must be directly connected.  My current Brother printer does NOT receive faxes because of this problem.  Anyone know if I directly connect my machine to this model (Officejet 6830) to make it work?  I won't buy it if it will not work.

    Hello @JPJ408,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking to buy a printer all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 6830 for fax purposes. While the User Guide advise you to plug the answering machine directly on the back of the Officejet unit, it is not necessary.

If you have a fax with an answering machine on her line, the only requirement is that the fax is set to two rings higher than the answering machine. Most of the responders are put back on 4 rings. As a result, you would set your Officejet to automatically pick up on 6 rings. In this way, when a voice is heard, you can manually respond to the call before the answering machine to pick up. If you are not home and then people can still leave messages on your answering machine. If you have a fax to come through, do not respond. The answering machine will pick up after 4 rings. At this point the fax machine "listen" on answering machine message and if fax tones are detected, the fax will take over and receive the fax.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion.

  • OfficeJet 6835: Connection printer/fax to the single telephone line with answering machine and DSL router

I change my current 2 lines phone/fax with answering machine setup and router DSL to a single line.  I have the right instructions HP and all the necessary parts and wiring diagrams, but I can't determine which of the now used phone cords is 'special' one provided in the box with your printer.  Instructions for the installation of a line saying I should use this cord between the DSL filter and the 1-line port on the printer for reliable fax.

How can I identify this original HP cord?  And, in case I can't, what makes it "special"?

    Hi @Atlantico,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you change the way that your fax is installed on your HP Officejet Pro 6835 e-all-in-one printer and you want to be able to identify the phone cord supplied with the printer. I would like to help.

Usually the phone cord supplied with the printer is black and a 2-wire telephone cord. There are basically 2 types of telephone cords, 2-wire or 4-wire. cords 2 telephone wires are the most basic phone cords and because the fax was built around the analog telephone systems, this is the type of cord they suggest to use.

You can identify a phone cord of 2 sons looking at the end of the connector that you plug into the phone jack. Please see the attached diagram below.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Do you need a distinctive number of the ring, or you can use the same phone number as the fixed line? The answering machine will pick up faxes?

    Hi @MSS1,

Thank you for reaching out to the forums! I understand that you are having problems of fax. I'd love to help you.

It's not like you can fax it to the PC with the software for this model. You would have to send and receive faxes from the printer.

This document provides steps for not being able to fax and it also provides information for the connection to the fax: can't send or receive faxes. Do not take into account the title.

I have provided the user manual of the printer to set up the fax, beginning on page 62: Photosmart C7280.

Here is a document to receive faxes: receipt of the Fax.

If the problem is resolved and you appreciate my help, please click on the "accept as Solution" and the buttons 'Thumbs Up'. Let me know how make you out. See you soon!

  • Can send but cannot receive faxes on HP Laserjet on Mac 10.9 Mavericks with answering machine TAM

I have an iMac running OS 10.9 (Mavericks) and a machine to print/scan/fax all-in-one HP Laserjet Professional M1212nf MFP connected by USB.  I have a phone with answering machine connected system.

I can send faxes of the HP and the Mac (using the pdf fax).  What I can't do, is to receive faxes on the HP (I know that the Mac cannot receive faxes with this machine).  I tried all the combinations of parameters without result even unplug the phone/answering machine without result.

Any ideas what I need the settings?

    Hi ChuckStewart,

It is definitely a head scratcher! I found some additional information from the following link, you use a product of Fax HP with a telephone answering machine (TAM).

I found this interesting presentation text, when recording the outgoing message on your TAM, share of voice must be at least 10 seconds of time, but not more than 20 seconds . Save 5-7 seconds of silence at the end of the vocal part of your outgoing message (message coming out would be your voice message length plus the extra 5 to 7 seconds of recorded silence ).

I wonder if you might find something useful in the document.

Please let me know. Thank you.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Z10 voice mail password

My Z10 does not keep the VM password during installation.  I tried to enter several times and close the phone market and stop several times too.

It is a known issue with Bell.  Please see the following thread for a workaround:

Copy & pasted here.  Found by @Arsen

I was on my administrative options on my answering machine from bell. I went in my voicemail and under password, you have the option to skip the password. I turned off and tried the voicemail on the Z10 button and it worked...

    1. Call your voice mailbox.
    2. Select option 4
    3. Select option 2
    4. Select option 1
    5. Select option 2 to pass the password.
    6. End the call.
    7. For some reason, I had to restart the X 10 to make it work. Something to do with the bell network.
  • problems with SPA112 and answering machine

Recently installed a SPA112 unit, which until this works fine without any problems, but have a few minor issues. Among others, I can't the 2 sec machine records messages; When there is an incoming call the answering machine picks up the call of the appellant Gets a busy; which means that the appellant is not able to hear the outgoing message, nor able to save?

Worth mentioning that I have before that used a vDSL Thomson 78 modem x who offered two pots the same equitment I use was connected to and also the autoresponder has worked with. Then nothng has changed with the Setup program expect that the SPA112 has replaced the modem ADSL Thomson when it comes to managing the voip part.

One suggestion I've seen is to change the 'delay to reorganize' at 15, which until now did not make a difference. In addition, the waveform of the ring has the sine value and the default value of the voltage.

Open to suggestion to point me in the right direction what to look for in the config for the SPA112.

Format text in time with no seconds and encoding UCS-16 can be ignored. But the messages are truncated at the first ',' and the rest is missing. Second file is the SQLite database...

You are to test my ability do identify and treat the data hidden, isn't she?

Well, I decided to extract the lines of SQLite database as TXT form is incomplete. I don't know any format if column Tm, fortunately, we have no absolute time and I wish I have guessed correct relative time in seconds.

Well. So we have commented on the newspaper. Now - what is your question?

Note that the CPC Signal (control Signal party call) is a momentary drop in voltage (0 volts DC) on the line for a period of time. It is the way in which the side 'server' of analog line (SPA112 here) informs device calling (your machine here) that the call has been disconnected by side called. Cisco is also using the CPCS to report the same he remote disconnect the case of incoming calls despite CPC does not has been provided for this direction of call.

Not all phones can recognize the signal of the CPC, especially when called. SPA112 must be configured according to the particular phone's capabilities.

  • 6500 will not Fax receive when the answering machine is added

6500 does not receive faxes when answering machine added to the configuration.  So just HP connected to the Jack, I am able to send and receive.  When I add phone & answering machine, I can only send faxes.  The incoming faxes reached answering machine message entering and are not picked up by HP and no dial tone fax haven't saved on the answering machine.   Sounds just the icon disappears in answering machine picks up.  I'm testing with HP test # (1-888-473-2963).

I have a phone line with 2 numbers associated with it - one for voice, one for the fax with a distinctive ring (triple).  Answering machine is programmed to answer = 4 lights, HP is set to auto-answer = Yes, will answer after 6 rings, distinctive ring triple =, error correction = stop, fax = slow speed, header information, set # with associated distinctive ring, not the voice #.

    Help!

PROBLEM SOLVED!  Used a combination of silence at end of answering machine outgoing message and "recording" of the distinctive ring on HP device during setup of taxes.  THX so much!

  • Install with answering machine

I am considering buying a HP 1212nf MFP printer, but I need to know if I can connect to a phone line and can continue to use my machine. I remember that a previous HP printer had this ability. Is my VOIP phone line. I looked through all what I canfind on the printer, but now answer my question.

Yes, you should be able to. Do not forget to connect the answering machine to EXT2 on the back of the printer and telephone cord int INT1.

IF you have a double ring or triple for your incoming faxes you must configure the printer to answer the specific rings (all, double, triple, or double and triple)

WARNING: VOIP (voice over IP) aka (digital phone lines) may cause problems while sending and receiving fax. You can reduce the speed to slow and stop ECM (error correction mode) to help with he problem.  Fax is an old technology. It was created in 1843 and later completely introduced in 1881 and has been modernized, as speed increases as recently as 1998. When we introduce old technology (fax) with new technologies (VOIP) it does not work always.  Only printers I know that work on VOIP can cause a service called Efax. Currently you can find the list of printers than efax support at this link
