ZBook 15 2.4: disc not recognized by HP ZBook15 2.4 K1100 24RAM Thunderbolt

I bought the ZBook 15 18 months ago on the strength of his crush port. Only just able to pay Thnderbolt G-Raid 8 to. Unable to connect - disc not recognized in the Device Manager or disk amangement. Thunderbolt up-to-date drivers and BIOS. G - Tech program does not even recognize the drive.

What is G2 or G3? Have you checked the security bolt settings in the BIOS? I had to disable all security bolt on my G3 before bolt dock would be recognized.

    Hello

As you have probably not known, not all CD or DVD is compatible with each drive.
This means that sometimes the medium cannot be recognized and the Player cannot read or write on CD or DVD.

In my knowledge in the manual, you should find a list of compatible DVD and CD.

    Hello dragonfly1814,

If the drive is not recognized, try and check if the drive works on another computer. If the computer still does not recognize the drive, the best idea would be to contact the manufacturer or seller to obtain a replacement CD-ROM.

  • CD/DVD discs not recognized

Trying an answer, I found that I deleted my lower and upper filters. How can I get back them?

    Hello

    You don't want these filters.

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries

  • CS4 disc not recognized

I am trying to install CS4 on my Windows XP computer, but when I put the CD in the drive the floppy disk is not recognized. In fact the disk does not appear to 'see' one of the disks that came in the package. The reader has no problem with the audio CD or CDs containing other programs. I also tried the disc in the DVD drive of the computer, but no luck.

To complicate the foreign disks CS4 seem to work on computer (most recent) well my wife.

Can someone tell me what is happening?

For starters, the disks are DVD not CD!

Second, your old computer may miss a few update needed to play the media.

Can you make a copy of the package on your hard drive and install from there?

  • HP Pavilion DV6 DVD disc not recognized and the media player does not work

My HP DV6 is having... issues.  Windows 7.  A little history:

Recently (2 months ago) he quit the installation of the updates of Windows and would download 3 whenever I stop.  HP support could not help or Fix - It programs work.  Had to restore it to factory default and that solved THIS problem.

Reading card camera (which I have done before) attempted recently, but he did not read / was not recognized.  Today, tried to launch a DVD, and when it does not start automatically, I discovered that it is not recognized.

Tried HP Support Assistant, who told me that the model # of the DVD drive that I was using, then proceeded to say there was something wrong with the driver... and he couldn't fix it.

To resolve this problem, remove the affected filter drivers. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type regedit in the Search box, and then click regedit in the programs list.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

Just a quick note to say that I had the technical support hp take possession of pc to try to solve. No luck.

A trip to the world PC kind confirmed the player had failed, but that they wanted £80 it to check to see if recovery would work and then needed a £60 new drive if he could be transferred for a fee of £120 to perform a recovery to the warehouse of tech. • Seagate Barracuda disc not recognized by Win7 installation disc

Hello!  I'm trying to get and set the password on Aspire M34706 brother, who uses a Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS hard drive.  (Yes, I know, it should have a password recovery disk, but does not.)  This player is driven by the firmware of the bus and doesn't seem to have a driver software available.

The problem I have is, I can't seem to find the driver file or equivalent for this disc, or a software driver I could load from a removable media.  So I can't answer or edit user, not through msconfig.exe, do not use a recovery program, nada.  I get in what concerns the 'load drivers", so I'm stuck.  I can view the contents of the hard drive, but I don't know the path or the name of the driver that I need to load.

Anyone have any idea of the file name and path (in a standard-issue of Win 7 Acer OEM installation)?  Or any other idea how to access the necessary file?

Hi, guys and girls!  I managed to solve my problem without having to do a restore.

After much searching the Acer site, I found packets of driver, zipped, current drivers for all their models of computers over the last 3 years.  I downloaded, unpacked to a flash drive, booted from the installation disc of Win7 drivers flash player, and after all that, with a minor hack, has been able to activate the hidden administrator account and use it to reset the password for my brother.  This last part lasted only 10 minutes.

The problem of not being able to write to the hard disk was because my brother does not run the firmware upgrade for the main bus, which I have now taken care of.  So now I'm a happy camper, he is a happy camper and all right.

That's all, just letting you know in the case of someone of another encounter a similar hard drive problem: full driver packages are available from Acer tech support site, just search on your specific model number.

  • A SSD from OCZ Agility 3 disc works with a dv9700T? Mine is not recognized by the BIOS.

I bought a 120 GB OCZ SSD Agility 3 disc to install in my laptop the dv9700T CTO.  The drive is not recognized by the BIOS when it is installed in the Bay of 1 or 2, but is recognized when connected via USB as a secondary drive.  The drive works fine in a different computer, so I know the drive works.  There seems to be a problem with the SATA (ICH8) controller.

Someone at - it any information on that?  Would love to get the drive works in my laptop.

    Thank you.

    Lloyd

If you have a HARD drive installed in the secondary Bay and the OCZ SSD in the first Bay, the dv9700t starts and works very well.
