5 GHZ?... Realtek RTL 8723BE 802.11 B/G/N

Hello

Can't seem to find in rather thin documentation if this Laotop supports 5 GHZ Wifi and if so how to activate it? It is brand new, but does not see the the 5 GHz network as my other devices. A research on the Realtek site does not work for the chip at all.

    Here's the manual. See p. 2:

    Manual

    Realtek RT8723BE 802.11bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi + BT Combo Adapter 4.0

    Broadcom BCM43142 802.11bgn 1 x 1 Wi - Fi + adapter BT HMC 4.0

either card Wifi & BT 1 x 1 above would be not compatible. There is only a single antenna, apparently while the manual is an conficted bit.

Replacement of a wireless card is shown on page 31. There is no 'white list' on this laptop, then you can install any wifi low-profile & map BT you can find and so much better if you find that you have 2 antennas.

This is the module for Broadcom (would be my preference) on amazon.com:

The product specifications page lists this product as a Realtek RTL 8100. • WLan disconnect on Equium P300-16 t with card Realtek RTL - 8187B

I have a Toshiba Equium P300-16 t which is Vista (as purchased) and I am experiencing a problem whereby the without wireless disconnects me and I can't come back unless I just simply disable and enable the wireless card and then it works for a period of time (maybe 3 minutes, 10 minutes or a little longer if I'm lucky).

All other laptops work fine on the same network, so I know that it is the problem of the laptop it does the same thing at work too.

I tried upgrading the Realtek drivers and his worst kind end uninstall and get back to the original shipped with the laptop drivers who, then it works for a while and then disconnects and wander around.

I've seen other people who say that they have the same problems and that you have just the laptop hard wired that works perfectly. But can someone help and point me in the right direction to solve this problem - or do I just buy another wireless card and install it?

(Note that I tried everything to fix this in the removal of Norton antivirus and full make-up Remover and try to disable AV, but that's all the same problem no matter what I try).

    Hello

I read that an update of the BIOS can sometimes help.
That's why I recommend you first what version of BIOS is pre-installed.
If a newer version is available, update.

In addition, you said that you did an update of the WLan driver.
I put t know which driver WLan you used but here on this driver Toshiba WLan page you can find the most recent:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Last but not lease that I recommend that you check the setting in the device-> Properties Manager card WLan-> Advanced tab.

Change the WiFi standard 802. 11B G etc. and Wlan channel.
Also check the Vista power management if this problem occurs only with the battery power then I should disable energy saving

  • Realtek 8191se in Satellite Pro L640 won't see 5 GHz network

I have a new Apple Extreme Base Station with full support dual band 802.11n.
I set up two separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
The wireless adapter is a Realtek wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC 8191SE bundled with the laptop when I bought it.
Toshiba L640 sees only the 2.4 GHz network.
On another site, a technician HP recommended upgrading of 8192E Realtek adapter.
What can I do to get 802.11n 5 GHz work?

    Hello

The Satellite Pro L640 seems to be a Toshiba laptop we.
In any case, first you must make sure that your wireless network card is 802.11 Wlan N capable.
If the WLan card would support 802.11 Wlan N standard, then I recommend updating the driver WLan.
You must use the most recent driver from the Wlan card manufacturer page.

In addition, you must make sure that wireless network adapter has been configured to use the standard 802.11 N.
You should check the settings in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab.

  • Is satellite P870 - card WLAN 802.11n 5 GHz?

I just bought a 2870 B DSL modem router wireless that supports the 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz.I set up both a 2.4 and 5.0 wireless systems, the old Toshiba P870 of one month running W7 (64-bit) can see and connect to the 2.4 Ghz network but can not see the 5.0 Ghz network.

So the Realtek RTL 8723AE supports 5 Ghz? If so, what should I do for the Toshiba P870 or wireless modem to communicate to 5.0 Ghz?

I tried the Realtek site, but they don't seem to have any information on the 8723.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you please post exact phone model number and name of the model?

  • HP all-in-one-22-3002nf: problems with the Realtek drivers

For the last three days my computer beeps at startup, beeps short and long beeps. It starts then, but I don't know that it should not be of these noises.

The wizard has recommended several updates, that everything I installed.

However, two Realtek drivers I have installed several times keep insisting that they should be downloaded and installed.

    The drivers are:

    and

Realtek RTL8723 and RTL 81188EE 802.11 b/g/n Wireless Lan Drivers

Please can someone advise what may be the problem, why these two drivers keep asking to be installed during the installation has already been confirmed, and why the computer will beep.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Satellite L300-1AP - Realtek wireless adapter disappears

I found many problems similar to this forum, but nothing that matches this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Occasionally when I start my laptop I can not connect to wireless networks. My internet connection is fine by a cable.

I found that when this happens, my "Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802. "11b / g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter" does not appear in Device Manager, even when I get it to show hidden devices. When I add legacy hardware and install the realtek adapter, it appears in Device Manager but says it cannot start because of "code 10".

I deactivated and reactivated it, but the same problem occurs. I uninstalled and downloaded the driver from the Toshiba website, but the same problem occurs. I updated my BIOS and disabled the function, which is has not always worked WLAN energy saving.

Annoyingly, this always works from time to time if I restart my computer. The map on the Device Manager and my works wireless according to normal. Then when I restart again, it will disappear again.

I use Vista 32 bit and given to restore the system, but until I do, he does what anyone has any suggestions?

I put really know what may be the problem but I can't imagine it's a software related issue. I've never seen something like that.

In my opinion you should backup all of your important data, install the original Toshiba recovery image and test it with clean OS preinstalled and factory settings. Don't install anything, just test it several days to see if the same thing will happen again and again.

If so, I assume that this is material junk.
