64-bit has dissappeared!

Recently, I had a problem with my resolution here, but now IT fixed itself (today the screen just randomly blacked out for a few minutes, and then when she came back on the resolution appears. Weird, I know).

But now Im stuck with a different problem. When the problem of the resolution started 64-bit has disappeared, and I didn't know why, I thought that maybe when I address the issue of resolution then maybe 64-bit would return, but unfortunately it didn't.
In fact now that the resolution is back, the quality seems to be even worse!
So as soon as now I am lost as to what to do and how to get 64-bit, please help :(
+ With this I have also an additional question, what are hertz? What is exactly? : o
If you are referring to colors, colors true (32-bit) is as high as it can go and is normal for Windows 7.

Really?

(I really thought I had 64-bit before)
But I noticed that the quality has fallen :/

Having Windows _, _ edition, 64-bit has nothing to do with the number of colors, which you can view.  The 32-bit or 64 - bit regarding the operating system is known as architecture.  This explanation can help:
http://Lifehacker.com/5431284/the-Lifehacker-Guide-to-64+bit-vs-32+bit-operating-systems

Now, if you had a 64-bit operating system before you start playing with your video problem - you have always (unless you formatted and completely * zero * and used the wrong kind of installation media.)

Now - if you're talking about DEPTH of COLOR...  It is unlikely that you have seen the difference between 16/24/32 bit colors.  No, unless you view some AWESOME pictures on your screen.

http://www.ASTROPIX.com/HTML/J_DIGIT/MON_RES.htm

So update your video card drivers and change the resolution of your screen to the 'native' resolution for your monitor and put your 24-bit or 32-bit color depth '...

    Hi all

I really need help with Satellite C885-12f my father, I tried to update the bluetooth drivers and software for him on the Toshiba site, but now the B icon has Dissappeared and I can't send files or add new devices.

I tried to uninstall the drivers again, I installed and reinstall the software bluetooth monitor of c:/program files/Toshiba/but nothing helps.

The laptop has now no bluetooth functionality where, as he was working before

I tried to find some info on your machine, but I can't.
You call C855-12F the right model? You can also publish full model number?

In any case, BT can be used if the BT module is correctly installed (BT stack) and also BT/WLAN correctly activated.
I don't know what OS you are using and can not offer concrete help, but all I can say right now is that you need battery BT installed on your machine. Visit the download page to Toshiba for your country and download BT for pre-installed OS stack.

Check in the user s manuals document how BT module can be activated and I hope that you will be able to use the BT connectivity.

  • Win 7 64 bit has been preinsatlled but I only Win 7 32 bit recovery disc

    Hello guys,.

    OK here is the story:

My toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

Today, Toshiba, with an attatude of a 13-year-old told me, we will not provide you with a record of 64-bit, we don't have to do it legally. Telephone Microsoft if you think we are braking the law.

So im guessing they thought I wouldn't, well I did :)
Here are the highlights of what Microsoft has said,
Toshiba using our Direct OEM license and there to provide end users with support to restore the system operating at the same version that preinstalled. Thanks to Windows 7 OEM 32-bit and 64-bit OEM support options they should be you offering two options. However, they are only legally to provide 64-bit because it is pre-installed.

I explained to him that Toshiba refused to provide me with the media and said to themselves, they then trasnfered me the string (basiclly I talked to 4 people) I got threw to the UK head office which is now dealing with my case. They turned round and said that Toshiba are just being clumsy in the fact that they said that they are not breaking the law and to contact Microsoft becauseinfact, they are in violation of the license OEM Direct from Microsoft and Toshiba betwean.

    So what is happening now?
Well Microsoft will now contact Toshiba about this, Director at Headquarters is going to try to get her ANDS on a copy of the OEM disc for me, if it is unable to do, so she'll contact Toshiba and tell them that they must give me with her. They will also investigate Toshiba on this beach.

    So my question to Toshiba,
Why when I called today your sure support decided to take a bad tone of voice, raise your voice and try to argue with me when I was polite and calm with him?
Why when Microsoft told me that you were in violation of license you said that I was not faithful?

As I rip this message Microsoft Head office phoned me, they called Toshiba, Toshiba said Microsoft, they are not in violation of license due to Toshiba which allows users 'Software' to create their own media, Microsoft disagreed with them because of the license indicating to provide to the user the media not a metod to create the media and handed the case to the Legal Department here and Microsoft are now send me one commercial version of Microsoft Home Premium 64-bit for free myself.

Anyway, if a member of the staff may answer my two questions above, I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    > My computer toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

First of all, I guess you don t know that it is a forum for user to user... here in the forum you can get a recommendation of the users regular laptops like you and me ;)

Second, you can find the info in the user manual which was preinstalled on your laptop, which a tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator has been pre-installed that allows you to create recovery disk for Win 7 64 bit and this is the reason why the 64-bit recovery disc has not provided with the laptop.

Like many, I know this is a common process and my Satellite U400 has not provided with the drive too because I could use the Toshiba recovery disc creator to create the recovery disk.

I think that it's my personal opinion, Toshiba and Microsoft are business partner and they know exactly the own enterprise.

It happened to me on Vista Ultimate 64-bit: the BITS service has simply disappeared from the list of services and updates no longer worked.

I have re-installed the BITS service by running the following command in a command with administrator privileges window, and now all is well again:

  • Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) has no install the AHCI Driver

When I built my current computer system in May 2011, I have not encountered this problem with installing 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on the new 500 GB Western Digital HARD drive.  In fact, I installed Win7 three times (to wipe the drive with DBAN after the first and second installs) before I was satisfied with the third installation.

Before the first installation, I configured the BIOS of card mother Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (Maj) SATA AHCI (with SATA 3.0) and copy the driver AHCI of CD Gigabyte on a SanDisk Cruzer USB (4 GB).  The GA-890FXA-UD5 (revision 2.1, version of the F6 BIOS) has an AMD chipset.

During each installation, the Win7 Installer reported that she could not find a HARD drive and offered the option to load a driver.  I used this option, and the installation program displays a dialog box with whom I sailed the Cruzer to select AHCI driver.  Each time, Setup loaded the driver with success smoothly.  Of course, I still have the installation of Microsoft Windows 7 Pro DVD, purchased with a full license of the retail.

Example: two years later, after that I started to meet various problems for which I could find no cause, no resolution, I suspected malware or corruption of the registry.  To make a long story short, eventually I decided to erase the internal HARD drive once again, after you save the data files on an external USB HDD.

Win7 Setup now follows the same routine, of course.  Except that now, it will fail to load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer (!).  I've also removed the Win7 installation DVD, loaded the CD Gigabyte, sailed to the driver and selected.  The Win7 Installer is always not load.  In addition, before you run the Win7 Installer for other attempts, I connected the USB HDD external and sailed to a copy archived AHCI driver on it, but Win7 Setup could not load.  I have made many and repeated attempts, with all the storage media at hand, that contains a copy of the driver AHCI files, but not joy.

For what it's worth, I also ran the software on the repair disk I did shortly after installing Win7 Pro, and he couldn't load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer with CD Gigabyte, respectively.

Then I reconfigured the BIOS of the motherboard to SATA IDE (with SATA 3.0) and rebooted the system.  You might think that Win7 Setup would have a suitable driver for the AMD SATA IDE, since she has one for the reader to optical disc Samsung DVD-Writer (obviously), but it did not find a HARD drive.  Then I sailed in the appropriate driver AMD x 64 on the CD of Gigabyte IDE files, but Setup cannot load it, too.

Question: why Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Setup does not install the driver AHCI, and what can I do about it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

AHCI (Advanced Host controller) makes the NCQ (Native Command Files) with connection to warm or hot swapping through host controllers SATA Serial - ATA possible; Vista was the first to offer this feature. The problem with AHCI is that it must be enabled in BIOS before the installation of the OS. After installing the operating system will disable the PC. The reason why Windows disable the AHCI drivers not not needed during installation.

I suggest you activate the AHCI after installing the operating system if you already enable AHCI in the BIOS, when you installed the operating system.

Warning: This section, method, or task contains steps that tells you how to change the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. NOTE: From: Error Message Occurs after you change the mode of the boot drive SATA
    6. close the registry editor.
    7. now you will need to reboot the PC and go into the BIOS and enable the AHCI. When Windows starts, it will finish installing the AHCI drivers.
    8. you will need a final restart to complete the process once the drivers are installed.

In the last two weeks, I installed Lightroom (current version: 5.7.1) on a new All-In-One(Model No. 27-p014) HP Envy 2734 with Windows 10.

It worked fine until today, when all of a sudden, when I tried to import a recent work, I got the above message. After several tests (and failures), I thought using the system restore and reset the unit to the settings of this morning, thinking the problem might be related to an update from HP that I had downloaded all that little before import (improved performance .NET Application - CPS).

    No luck.

    Hello
Welcome to the Microsoft community. Sorry for the delay in responding. The problem is specific to the Adobe Photoshop Light room? Do the other application run without any problem? What version of Windows operating system is installed?

Please, take a look at this thread and check if that helps.

  • Can't do a backup of files :(& restore has Dissappeared!

    Hello

    Really need help.

Have a HP Pavilion p6257C Deasktop.

It was a year on October 29, 2010.

It crashed on the day before Thanksgiving. Then again the day before the new year.

So, now having a computer that will not save, says I need administrator permission to open my files in Word & also a password!

Didn't even KNOW that you can put a password in word.  Using the Word Home & Student 2007.

Have windows 7 Home Pemium here.

Has been informed by my ISP "Allow" them access to computer & like a FOOL, I did.

    Now, it's WORSE than ever.

Messages sent to windows, they say that there is nothing wrong with the computer.

Please tell me HOW to back up all the files I could have left here, they seems to disappear every day.

We are retired & I can't afford another computer.

ISP also suggested to line them up, but we have set up & then MY password would not work.

Very disappointed with the ISP, but they is the ONLY salvation broadband speed in this area!

Complained to his supervisor, he was not good.

Assistance here think (that I now pay 12.99 a month for) stole my computer.

Stay away from "pC help & connect" a popular broadband access provider!

Do save. But I have more "Administrator rights" cannot use them!

Really at a loss here, any help would be appreciated.

It's Windows backup error Code: 0 x 81000019-Back up do not complete, try again or cancel.

Also, when online can see green line & someone copy files off here.

    How can I block them?

McAfee said "no Virus" but now I am connected to the network of a person.

Every day I have to disconnect this feature & restart the computer then, Internet Explorer then remote allows to control here.

Very odd, I only keep receipts (I'm diabetic) & crochet patterns here, so what's the problem?

    Hello

Thanks for the help, but the machine gives me a message saying that 'is not a valid command prompt.

    The sfc/scannow does not work.

I ordered a set of repair of HP discs.

    I hope THEY will work.
